To bring everyone up to date on where we are now, it has been approximately two and a half years since The Protectors and Faith ended with a visit to another au.

In that time they have fought and defeated Mayor Richard, 'I just want be a giant snake', Wilkins. It went pretty much the same, except Finch wasn't accidentally killed by Faith, which in the original Buffyverse, led to her thinking that made her evil and to her joining the Mayor. The others students were still recruited and the Mayor and the High School were still blown up. In the process of dealing with the Mayor, the group discovered that the reason for Sunnydale Denial Syndrome was that the Mayor had managed to create a field around the town with magical items like Lethe's Bramble mixed into the building materials of every structure in town and anchored it to the Hellmouth.

For more information on this see the story, The Protectors: In-between. A series of vignettes that help fill in the gaps between the end of The Protectors and Faith and the beginning of the Protectors and A Baby.

The Initiative still came to town and setup shop. They even got their hands on a couple of Protectors. Unlike in the Buffyverse however, this au already had established military demon hunting groups and a reason the Initiative shouldn't have been messing in things they didn't understand and the group had a contact, Xander's Uncle Rory who got word to the people in charge about their stupidity. They got arrested by the people in charge. Also covered in the In-between series.

Jenny Calendar and Rupert Giles' have gotten married. Everyone knows her original reasons for coming to Sunnydale. Not nearly as big an issue in this reality as in the Buffyverse. See also, The In-between series.

This story is picking up with the Pack having an official, legal by the government standards, wedding ceremony. They are now 19 1/2 years old.

This is a work of fiction, meant to entertain. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the property of Joss Wheden, Mutant Enemy and others. I am not benefiting financially from these stories.

The Chumash are a real Tribe. They are mentioned in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in which Xander accidentally unleashes a vengeance spirit. This story is not meant to be offensive to anyone, if I do offend, I apologize.
