Chapter 2: The Little Mermaid

The next day, we met up at the Loew's Waterfront Theater to see the new Little Mermaid movie. However, Sarah, James, and Henri were running late, which worried Alex, Justin, and Max deeply. "How could they go to the zoo with Carly and her family instead of the movies with us?" Alex stated in a tearful tone of voice. "Did they forget, or what?" "I am sure that they didn't forget, Alex," I told Alex in a comforting tone of voice. "Yes, they did," Alex cried. "They would rather hang out with Carly than with us. Everyone needs to do what I want to do sometimes! If they don't, I am going to move out of Squirrel Hill and to North Braddock! This is the worst Sunday ever!" Alex burst into tears. "Why don't you try calling or texting Sarah to see where they are?" I asked. "Sure, I could do that," Alex agreed. After an hour, Sarah, James, and Henri finally showed up at the Waterfront. "There you guys are!" I happily exclaimed. "Hi!" "Hi, Angel!" Sarah greeted back. "What took you guys so long to come?" Alex asked. "Well, we got into a car accident on Washington Boulevard coming home from the zoo," Sarah explained. "There was so much traffic." "I am so irritated that my car is towed into the car shop," James angrily stated. "If it makes you feel better, we can take you guys home in my car," Justin stated. "Sure," James agreed. "Our other friends brought us here if you were wondering." We listened to 98 Degrees and Lizzo prior to the movie and then got our tickets and went into the theater to see the movie. We sang along to songs from the original movie, such as "Part of Your World", "Under the Sea", "Poor Unfortunate Souls" and "Kiss the Girl". Alex got a little upset about King Triton destroying the treasures, but not nearly as upset as during The Lion King. After the movie was over, we went to Red Robin for dinner. "I am so glad that Benedict is not around to work at that theater anymore," Sarah stated in a relieved tone of voice. "We only got back together once, but no more after that!" "What did you think of the movie, Henri?" Max asked. "That was a great movie, Max," Henri stated. "Thanks for offering to take me home in your car, Justin," James stated. "You're welcome, James," Justin stated. "I love looking at your journal entries, Alex," Sarah stated. "Thank you, Sarah," Alex stated. "So, you went to the prom 3 years in a row?" Sarah asked. "That's impressive." "Well, the prom is mainly for 11th and 12th graders, but 10th graders can only go if they are asked by an upperclassman while 9th graders are not allowed to attend at all." "Oh, okay," Sarah stated. "Senior prom with Justin was the best, though," Alex happily stated. "I hope that you can write more journal entries so you can share your life stories with us," Sarah remarked. "Maybe, I can do that," Alex happily stated. Once dinner was over, it was time for all of us to go home. "Thanks for a great day, everyone!" I thanked my friends. "You're welcome, Angel," Sarah replied. "Good night, guys!" "Good night!"
