Armand had the guards coming closer to Robotnik in his pod but he shouted to them "don't come any closer or else I will set my Badniks to shoot to kill your King!" The guards reluctantly stood down from coming closer. Robotnik then flew out of the hole in the window with Elias as his prisoner; "Elias!" Sally shouted breaking away from the grip of the guards trying to drag her away for her safety and Sonic then stared at the hole angrily looking ready to follow but noticed the Badniks still attacking.
Remembering what Elias said about responsibility he then charged at the Badniks and helping to push the guests out of the doors and shouted at them to run to safety. Sonic then began charging into a ball to dash right at the ground Badniks and launch himself at the flying Badniks. Sally inspired by Sonic's example activated her wrist blades and then started running and jumping to strike at the Badniks; piercing through them with the blades.
"Nice moves Sal!" Sonic grinned thinking that nice to have Sally have his back with him; plus seeing her in action was real cool.
"Along with my sparring lessons with these Acorn family heirlooms; I also have my aerobics training to help me out." Sally said and they soon took care of the Badniks in the ballroom. They looked out the window and saw Armand directing the guards to protect the civilians and get them to safety. "Hopefully they will be enough to get our people to safety; I want to go after Robotnik to save my brother!" Sally said seriously and Sonic then noticed the door open with guards there and Antoine with them.
"Thank goodness you're safe Princess; I was off course doing my duty as a cadet and not at all running and crying to find somewhere to hide. Sorry that you had to be left with that rapscallion hedgehog!" Antoine said making Sonic and Sally glare at him. "Now come on and we will get you to safety; don't worry you will have this brave and strong cadet to watch over you..." Antoine said and Sally took her cue to leap into Sonic's arms as he jumped out of the hole in the window and landed with his feet on the ground to start running. "What? He just kidnapped the Princess!" Antoine shouted as the guards ran out of the room.
Robotnik took Elias to a special facility which had stairs underground leading them the chambers containing the 2 Chaos Emeralds in 2 dark green forcefields. "Quite clever to have the Emeralds act as the power source to their own containment... But your highness I need you to use the eye signature to deactivate it!" Robotnik said taking Elias to the eye signature device as Robotnik then used the gauntlet on his arm to scan the Emeralds.
"Not so fast Robotnik! Put the King down safely and maybe I will go easy on the butt kicking that you will receive!" Sonic said as he arrived with Sally with them both glaring at Robotnik
"Sally; what are you doing? Get to safety" Elias gasped as Robotnik then slapped him on the head.
"Quiet you!" Robotnik snapped making Sonic and Sally glare at him for his words and the action, he then used his gauntlet to summon air Badniks with them aiming their weapons at Elias with Robotnik then forcing Elias to face the eye signature device. "I bet you are probably wondering where I have been all these years and my new look?" Robotnik asked facing the two teens.
"I do wonder why you look like more of a clown than before." Sonic replied and Robotnik glared harshly as Sally giggled along with Elias.
Robotnik then explained "it goes like this..."
"Using my master expertise I managed to fix the stabilisers in the controls enough that I was able to use the Egg Carrier's remaining power to take me away so that I can re-strategize. However you damaged the controls so much; even my fixing could only do so much and the remaining power wasn't a lot!"
The Egg Carrier ended up crashing in an area away from Westside Island; Robotnik groaned as he had gotten himself up from the crash.
"I salvaged enough medical equipment to fix myself up as well as used plants to heal myself; using leftover parts of one of the destroyed my E-Series, I got enough electricity working for it act as a weapon to hunt for food and explore with my grasp on sanity absolute."
Robotnik growing his hair out more and a beard with an E-Series cannon strapped to his arm explored the forest, while clutching a rock with a face carved onto it underneath his free arm. He then stumbled upon 2 alien crafts to his shock.
"I would come across 2 alien spaceships that had must have crashed onto the planet long ago, the pilots abandoned and probably died out. I scavenged the ships and brought them together with the parts of my Egg Carrier. With some trial and error I was able to make use of the alien ship materials as well as find out how to reverse engineer the alien fuel cells for my own use. With a new headquarters built I was able to create my new Badnik army; just as deadly as the E-Series but smaller and easier to mass produce. I would learn of the end of the War and the fall of Eggman Industries but I would decide to name my forces the Eggman Empire with my new look to reflect it!"
Robotnik donned his new attire put together and used an alien knife give himself a shave in the mirror.
Then the forcefields around the Chaos Emeralds fell; Robotnik grinned and said "looks like my monologue served as the distraction that it needed! I am claiming these Emeralds and soon I will find the other 5 so that with the power of all 7 I will use to rule over all of Mobius!" Robotnik grinned as he used his gauntlet to have the Badniks face Sonic and Sally. "Finish them off!" Robotnik said as they started firing with the two teens dodging and doing their best to attack them.
Elias then went and quickly used his eye signature to turn back on the forcefields around the Emeralds with Robotnik noticing and glaring; "You do that again and your life is forfeit..." Robotnik said about to force him to deactivate it again when Sonic jumped and got Elias going back to Sally.
"Run to safety with your sister your highness; I got a plan to make him focus on me!" Sonic told Elias as Sally checked on her brother; they looked unsure but a nod from him made them decide to hear him out.
"I hope you know what you are doing Sonic..." Elias said as he left with his sister.
Sonic then went and faced up at Robotnik and shouted "hey Robotnik; you and your silly robots! Remember how I was only 4 when I made mincemeat of your stupid machines; I am much older and better now so did you really think these Badniks are supposed to do any good if they are supposed to be just as deadly as the robots that I crushed when I was only an infant! That must be really embarrassing; spending the last decade knowing that you were beaten by an infant!" Sonic shouted with a mocking look on his face and Robotnik furiously set his Badniks to focus on him as he ran out to be followed by the Badniks as he kept jumping at them to crush them before continuing to run.
Soon Sonic was out to the streets and Robotnik followed as Robotnik shouted "I have some new tricks up my sleeve!" Then from underneath the pod was a ball and chain and some sort of growth ray was used to make it bigger as Robotnik chased Sonic and he ran up a building and jumped at Robotnik smashing the pod and kept continuing to do so. Robotnik glared as his systems told him of system failure and he activated the ejector seat which sent him flying with remaining Badniks retreating with him.
Sonic then noticed the civilians coming out of hiding and spotting Sonic and began cheering for him as he grinned and waved; there was the guard coming towards him as Armand angrily ranted "first you kidnap the Princess and now you brought Robotnik out in the open endangering the city! You have really done it this time..."
"Stand down Captain D'Coolette!" shouted Elias coming towards them with Sally and Armand looked shocked but reluctantly complied as Elias made it clear with his face that it wasn't a request.
"Well Robotnik escaped and now we know that he is after all of the Chaos Emeralds so he is bound to try again!" Sonic remarked and Elias smiled.
"Good thing that the Kingdom of Acorn has their own superhero for when Robotnik strikes again!" Elias told Sonic and he looked surprised and grinned.
"You know in stories the hero gets a kiss a from the Princess as a reward." Sally told Sonic and red in the face he was shocked but put on a grin and a kissing motion with his eyes closed. Sonic opened his eyes to see that Sally had tricked him into kissing a fish that she had grabbed from a nearby fish selling stall. Sonic then looked disgusted as Sally laughed with Elias looking on amused.
Robotnik retreated back to his lair furious; "enjoy your victory while you can as I have plenty of machines that I can build and besides this wasn't a total loss..." Robotnik said looking to his gauntlet and how it downloaded onto his servers the scanned energy readings from the Chaos Emeralds which could be helped to locate the rest.
Days later there was a ceremony for Sonic at the palace with Elias giving him a medal and Sonic shaking hands with President Naka who was a guest. "There is now a reward for any information on the wanted terrorist Dr Julian Robotnik but now we are seeing the hero celebrated for saving the day on Peace Day when Dr Robotnik attacked with his army of Badnik machines." Scarlett Garcia said reporting for the United Federations.
Once the ceremony was over Elias took Sonic aside and said "I want to tell you that Sally has decided that she wants to partner with you for your upcoming adventures. I was hesitant but she pointed out how she handled herself and her training plus I know she will probably sneak out if I refuse anyway..."
"Well hope Sal can keep up in her dress..." Sonic said but his eyes widened as Sally came into view wearing blue boots, a black shirt, a blue vest and dark blue shorts.
"What do you think Sonic?" Sally asked striking a pose and was amused as he was speechless.
