A week had passed since the medal ceremony and at Green Hill Zone; Tails & Nicole were working on rebuilding the Tornado together but Nicole was distracted looking towards the direction of Sonic who was hanging about outside. She was excited as Sonic had asked out Sally on their first date together and it would be happening that night!
"So Sonic; what time should you start to get changed and ready for your date with Sally?" Nicole decided to go up to Sonic and ask remembering how long it took her to get her best look for her own first date with Sally.
"I am already as ready I will be Nicole; just going by myself and think that we could catch a movie afterwards and then maybe a chilli dog..." Sonic replied casually but looked confused and concerned as Nicole froze at what he had said. "Are you alright Nicole? Mobius to Nicole; Tails I think Nicole is freezing up..." Sonic said looking confused but Nicole looked strict as she went and grabbed his wrist.
"Absolutely not! I am not letting you put in such low effort in your first date with Sally; especially since we are talking about someone who is my girlfriend too! You will thank me for this later..." Nicole told him sternly as Sonic looked hesitant and wondered about asking Tails to turn off Nicole.
Sonic grunted later that day as he was at the palace to pick up Sally for their date; with his quills styled with hair gel and put into a fancy dinner jacket and tie which was killing his neck. He never did like dressing up fancy but his thoughts went towards Sally in a dark blue dress coming up to him with a smile.
"Didn't expect you to actually dress up Sonic; I must say about how handsome you look." Sally commented as Sonic beamed at the compliment and sighed.
"You can thank your girlfriend for this..." Sonic replied and Sally chuckled thinking that it was likely that it was the case. "Well my lady; Nicole got dinner reservations for us but plenty of time before that. So how about we catch that latest Chao in Space movie?" Sonic suggested putting his arm in her's trying to put on a gentleman smile and Sally giggled in response.
At Green Hill Zone later Tails and an excited looking Nicole were waiting for Sonic and Sally to arrive so that they could tell them about the date but they came back with their clothes dirty, messed up and their hair mixed up. "Would you believe that after the meal at the restaurant; we took a long term and found an underground arms dealing of weapons made from scavenged parts of Robotnik's last big battle?" Sonic explained as they took this in.
"Sorry that it ruined the end of your date then..." Nicole sighed but Sally shook her head.
"Are you kidding Nicole? It was exciting and it becoming a mission with us fighting together is what I would expect from a date with Sonic. Not that normal expected dates with you Nicole aren't good but there are things that I like and expect to do differently with the both of you." Sally explained taking Nicole by the hands and she smiled.
"I guess that's fair... Still what do you think of my work dressing him up?" Nicole asked as Sally giggled as Sonic grunted.
