My quest to see about continuing this and I thought I could at least update to show you a concept I came up with on how to adapt one of my fave Sonic characters to this fic's universe but consider this completely non canon as it's out there.
Sonic and his team were in the past; having followed a GUN squad who had stumbled across the Time Stones in the past during the War and was in horrified shock and furious anger to arrive in the past to find out that the United Federation had lost their War and their beloved President Charlemagne was rotting in prison as a hated war criminal. Sonic and co had ambushed them as they were in the middle of going to the past to try and 'fix' things but ended going further than they had intended but decided to use the research that they had gotten from their time in the present to take advantage of the situation to still change history.
They were now in hiding in Green Hill Zone and Sonic couldn't help but marvel at the place; he didn't even remember how it used to be lively and full of people with the buildings intact. The team were in watch at what would be Sonic's home in the present and currently it was housed to a smiling kind rabbit woman called Vanilla. "She looks like how she would grow up to be... I still remember..." Sonic muttered as they looked and saw Vanilla checking on her young toddler daughter in her orange dress playing in the grass and making crowns out of the flowers.
"I am sure... They are here in Green Hill to find her and kill her... Can't let that happen..." Sonic said looking determined as they looked at her.
"Are you sure Sonic? I am all for stopping children of all sorts from dying but... Why would they be after her in particular?" Nicole asked stunned but they were taken aback by how serious and a bit sad Sonic was looking; a far cry from how he usually acted.
"I know her... I did but it was a long time ago before Robotnik destroyed this beautiful place..." Sonic muttered shaking his head at the bad memory as they let him process this.
"Sonic..." Tails asked hesitatingly as Sonic sighed to himself.
"Let me explain everyone; I don't look it but I have a bit of rabbit on my mum's side..." Sonic muttered as they took this in in realisation.
"You are saying..." Antoine asked slowly and Sonic nodded.
Sonic then whispered "yep Ant... That girl Cream grows up to be... My mum..."
