New Smash City, Leisure Lane, Game and Watch Cinema, Lobby, Two Weeks after the (OFFICIAL) Destruction of Galeem/Dharkon and their Cults:
"It's here Sweetie…. IT'S HERE!" A VERY EXCITED LIBRE to her Husband, Daughter, Adoptive Son and Mewtwo as the Five of them are currently are waiting in the Lobby of the Game and Watch Cinema (The most popular Cinema for Movies in New Smash City named after the 2D Pixel Man Fighter) with Pikachu currently holding the Movie Tickets for the Newest Anime Flim Suzume while being concern for his Wife as Libre was currently excited for the Movie She and her Family (alongside Mewtwo) are about to watch.
All while holding Popcorn and Drinks (Shaking with barley containable Excitement in her tiny rodent body) with her daughter being as excited with her Candy Bar in her Paws as she was while her newly adopted son was just munching on a Giant Turkey Leg (While holding Another due to the Massive Appetite that Digimon usually possessed, Especially with anything Meat related) while holding another One in his Claws.
"Man, Libre's excited for this eh Pikachu?" Agumon admitted to his Adopted Father while his Best Friend (Now Sister) was with her Mother being just as Excited while trying not to drop her Candy bar as the Dinosaur Digimon munched on his Turkey Leg.
"Well you can't blame her Agumon, She's been looking forward to watching Suzume given it was made by Makato Shinkai Whom also made Your Name…." Pikachu answered back to his adoptive Son. "It's pretty understandable of wanting to check out a Movie made by
"Well truth be told Pikachu, I think I prefer that Movie with the Wolf Children* truth be told Pikachu… I don't get the Romance in Your Name to be honest" Whispered Agumon to Pikachu in a hushed tone while making sure his Adoptive Mother wasn't listening.
"But I don't want to be rude with Libre form what I heard form Jigglypuff… She gotten pretty made because someone insulted and didn't like Your Name….So I don't want to hurt her feelings about this."
"Eh don't worry about it Agumon… Libre's chill with people preferring other Animes compared to Your Name… As long as you don't insult anything about It, She's good with your Opinion…." Pikachu admitted as he cringed back to a time Libre got less then amused by a Negative Review about a Very Cynical Reviewer (With Very oddball takes that got memed very often, Especially with the Likes of Rapp, Tupp and Zipp whom they (And the Rest of Team Skull not named Guzma, Plumeria or Gladion) often embraced at times)* whom she nearly went on an Online Rant forcing Pikachu to stop his wife form doing so….
It was something he doesn't want to go through given the Internet's infamous habit of bringing out the worst in others…Something he seen in others like Sonic recently as well whom's rather aggressive lately after Dharkon's Control over him….
Not help with events with the The Unsung Heroes and FP2 (As well as Riku and Kairi) left all of them on tense terms with him due to bad blood with him and the Late Marnie (Especially with the Latter's Pokemon, Protoman, Jibanyan and Sora)
Things have been improving with Sonic however… but things between him and the FP2/Unsung Heroes are still high with tension to the point Master Hand has to make sure neither of them are in the Same Room as Sonic whenever possible (Especially Jibanyan whom hasn't forgiven Sonic for his actions against Marnie undr Dharkon's Control…)
Especially with how Master Hand warned Nemona and the Other Marvelous Magalors (Fiora, Neku, Phoenix Wright, Morgan, Desti, Eight, Hilda and Magalor Himself) to avoid Sonic for the Time being until things between him and the FP2/Unsung Heroes are settled down, especially since they're not risking Nemona form meeting the Same fate as Marnie was.
"And I'll explain how Taiki and Mitshuna's Romance works to you later once we finish watching Suzume… Sounds good?"
Agumon then nodded back in agreement (Figuring he might as well worry about that latter not to upset his Best Friend/Adoptive Sister or his Adoptive Mother at least) as Mewtwo turns towards Pikachu with the latter speaking his piece after taking a sip of Pinap Juice.
"Hey Mewtwo, You came to watch Suzume for that Project of Villains and their Behavior Right?" Pikachu questioned with surprise as the Genetic Pokemon smiled back to him.
"Indeed Pikachu…. And I suppose you know whom I'm talking about right?" Mewtwo answered back with a small Chuckle escaping form his normally Stoic (And Enraged) Tone.
"It's Definitely that Daijin Cat…." Pikachu answered back to his Friend as he glance towards a Poster of the Suzume Flim with the White Cat next to Suzume herself and Sota.
"It's because he's the Villain of Suzume right? Or Rather the Closest thing to a Villain at least."
"Yes Indeed Pikachu….." Mewtwo answered back to him with a Smile. "I figured after my Anaysis on Ghibli flims and Roald Dhal Books… I figured I can check on this Suzume flim after watching Your Name and see how this Makato Shinkai handles writing a Villain after his Last two Flims don't really have a Villain per-say compared to the likes of Classic Disney Flims or even Roald Dahl books… as it's very Black and White compared to how Mr. Mayazaki wrote his Characters in most of his Flims… and I can assure you that the same can be said about Your Name as it's certainly lacks an actual villain as well…"
"And this Daijin is certainly an antagonist at least… should help differentiate it form Your Name at least…."
"I Suppose… After Reading some of those Roald Dhal books form you, I can see what you mean…You never see a redemption Story in Roald Dhal's Books after all…" Pikachu continued to his Friend with a shrug. "Villains stay Villains and it's clear any immoral Stuff the heroes do may be brush off to some extent
"Though I don't think those Naughty Kids in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory are villains per-say… Naughty? Yes, But Villainous? Doubt so….I mean Standards are harsher back in the Day but Gum is certainly not one of them…" He continued as he recalled when he read the Most Infamous Book of Roald Dhal in he and his Trainer's Youth how interesting Mr. Dahl's Books are… Being a way to give good Stories for
"You do know how Adapations then to make those kids more insufferable*** to make people not root for them and deserve their punishments for not listening to Wily Wonka…"
"Well, You have a Point there Mewtwo…." Pikachu admitted with a Shrug at this, No doubt aware of what Mewtwo has mentioned as watch Anime with Libre does help him understand it. (Even if despite Libre's habit of getting enraged by People insulting Your Name, She was aware adaptations often needed to be different in order to fit the Medium and sometimes a writer altering the Story to make more sense as well)
"Though Truth be told, I don't think me and Pichu would last long in that Factory… We'll be either be gone by the Chocolate River or worse, The Inventing Room.. or even some other Room as well!" The Rodent Pokemon Continued with a Heavy Sigh as he briefly imagined all the Situations that Pichu could get into Trouble followed by her getting into whatever unpleasant fate while getting a song for the Oompa Lompas as he was watching his own child get into a bad situation.
"Well don't worry about it Pikachu…." Said Mewtwo with a Smirk on his Face.
"I say Dedede would be more likely to get into Trouble Pikachu…He's certainly more of a trouble maker then Pichu was if Bandana Dee …" The Clone Cat Pokemon countered back as he chuckled at the (Half Amusing) thought of Dedede falling into a Chocolate River and sucked up a Pipe, Inflating like a Balloon form experimental Gum, Thrown into a Trash Incinerator by Squirrels and shrunken down into a tiny size by a TV Teleporter (All while Bandana Dee watches in Conern for his King/Father Figure while the Oompa Lompas Sing their songs) entered his mind….
"Though it'll be more likely with Bandana Dee would want to vist with Escargoon in this case at least…"
"Hey Dedede's better nowadays… He's a little Competitive sure, but he's clearly improving form when Kirby first arrived in Dreamland according to Adeleine at least…." Pikachu admitted with a Smile on his Face.
"Sides, He's being a good Father to Bandana Dee at least…."
"I Suppose…." Mewtwo answered back with another smile, which was followed by a sip of his Pinap Juice.
"Oh Hey Guys! You're here too?" Said a Familiar voice as Pikachu and Mewtwo turned to see Jigglypuff, Kirby, Bandana Dee, Adeleine and Ribbon approaching them as well…
"So here to watch the Movie too Jigglypuff?" Questioned Pikachu as his Fellow 64 Era Fighter approached him with her Boyfriend, Bandana Dee, Adeleine and Ribbon.
"Yup! As a Fellow Otaku, I have to watch it as well… Helps it's certainly more promising then Disney's recent crap as well…." Said Jigglypuff as she smiled back to her Friend.
"Plus, Figured I should at least show Kirby some Anime as well! I'll help make sure he won't get addicted to it as well!"
"Poyo! (Hi Pikachu!)" Said Kirby to his fellow 64 Veteran.
"Oh Hey Adeleine! Hey Bandana Dee! What's up?" Said Pichu as she and Agumon looked back to the two Deluxe-Fighters
"Well nothing much other then a Movie Night…." Said Bandana Dee. "Sire and Meta Knight are busy so it's just us and Jiggly for today…"
"Same here…. Besides this Makato Shinkai Guy's movies look gorgeous as well!" Said Adeleine as Ribbon nodded back.
"I can use those Movies to get the inspiration make more artworks as well!"
"That sounds Cool!" Said Pichu as she smiled back to the Human Artist. "Mama's excited for this since Your Name's her Favourite Flim and the Director of this Flim is also made by him!"
"Well that's nice to hear…" Bandana Dee answered back with a shrug as he was just interested in seeing a good Movie…
"Hey Kirby old Buddy! How are you?" Questioned another Face as the Eight
"Oh Hey Magalor…." Said Bandana Dee as Kirby gave a Poyo back to the Mischievous but reformed Wizard and his Band of fellow Smash Fighters of Neku, Phoenix Wright, Hilda, Desti, Eight, Morgan, Nemona, Pawmot, Skelidrege, Goodra and Fiora approached the Group.
"Here to see the Flim too?" Questioned Adeleine as she looked back to Her friend's Former Enemy as well.
"Yup!" Was Magalor's answer as he took "And also to get some inspiration for my Amusement Parks as well! Waddle Dee Town's Cinemas may have included me with an idea for my own parks at least!"
"You can thank Mr. Wright for the Tickets… He won them at a Lottery…." Said Desti as Meggy's Rival shrugged back to this as the Lawyer smiled back to the Group as Desti's little Brother Eight chatted with Neku with the Latter being aloof towards the Octoling and ignoring him.
"Well, We figured we could use the time to take a break after Galeem and Dharkon's Destrution… Even if Shulk and Lucina aren't able to come however…." Fiora admitted as she signed about unable to take both her Childhood Friend and his Current Girlfriend to the Cinemas due to them needing a longer rest after the Incident with Galeem and Dharkon using their Bodies as temporary Vessels after their first defeat and their Cults going after them and Kirby to revive their Masters….
"True…." Said Jigglypuff as she looked back to them. "Master Hand's admitted the Tourney's been quite the Trouble for us after the World of Light Incident
"So some rest won't hurt at all for anyone of us….Especially with Kirby-Kins here…"
"Poyo! (Yup!)" Said Kirby with a smile on his Face, Just happy to be with more of his Friends at least (Even if Magalor's Betrayal still made bad memories for him, Bandana Dee, Dedede and Meta Knight however)
"I Suppose…." Said Phoenix Wright with a Smile on his face. "I haven't felt this tired after that infamous incident with the Golden Chains and those Superheroes form another world…. A Movie Should help calm my nerves even for a while after those Creepy Cults and Eldritch Gods at least."
"That I can Agree Wright….." Said Hilda as she tries to relax as well.
"Same here…." Said Neku in a aloof tone while ignoring Eight as the Octling continues to make some degree of small talk with him.
"Yup!/Same Here/Aggreed!" Said Nemona's Skelidrege, Goodra and Pawmot in agreement.
"It's no battle but I'll do for now!" Said Nemona as she thought about her Friends… more specifically Juliana…. Missing her right now with her new Role as a Smash Fighter and part of the Marvelous Magalors….
'Well, A Pity Juli can't be with us right now….' thought Nemona as she sigh while taking out a Photo of Herself with a Dusty Blond haired Upperclass Man, A Red and Cyan Shy Otaku Girl and A Large mutated Red Cylizar like Pokemon….
But most Interestingly of all, A Young Girl with a Scarlet Scaled Tail in place of Legs with Orange and Red Hue on her Tail fin, Gills and Scale Ears was it in this Photo as well…
'She may have love this Movie at least…Same with Avern and Penny…It's really a shame she can't be here since she's not a Smash Fighter like I'm right now...' She continued her train of thought as she let out a sigh to her Best Friend (And the First Person that she can truly call her Rival even if Juliana was weird out by this initially due to her being a Mermaid and all…
"Nemona? You ok?" Qustioned Morgan as Nemona looked back to him in shock.
"Well it's nothing…save for missing my other friends right now…" Said the Student Council President of her Academy as Morgan gave a look of Empathy, knowing how she feels right now as he gave her a pat on the Back.
"Oh don't worry about it Juli!" Said Morgan with a smile on the Ylissean Prince's Face.
"We'll just watch it when Juliana and your other Friends when they Visit us when the Tourney Starts for Real!"
"I did so during the last Smash tournament with Mom and Sis were involved… and Besides, I'll be excited to see Juliana since she's a Mermaid and I'll be excited to see her in the Flesh (or Scales) at least! That and see an Actual Pokemon Battle with you and her as well!"
"Thanks Morgan…." Said Nemona as her Pokemon smiled back as well as Pikachu decided to break the Ice.
"So want to talk?" Said Pikachu as he turned to the Marvelous Magalors with a smile as some Friendly talk
"…Fair enough?" Said Fiora as the (ACTUAL) Leader of the MMs looked back to her Team
After more chatting and getting their Seats, Everyone was ready for the Flim….
"It's coming Dear! It's Coming!" Yelled Libre as her Husband Smiled back to her, No doubt just as excited as their Children shared similar opinions as well
The Married Pokemon Couple smiled back to each other as the Movie began to start…
No doubt excitement is high for everyone at least…
As the Story of a Young Girl (And a Man turned into a Chair) sealing off Doors of Disaster soon began on the Big Screen….

*For those whom don't know, The Director of Wolf Children and Mirai (Mamoru Hosoda) also directed the Digimon Adventure Films (Both Our War Greymon and the Original Pilot that explains why Tai, Kari, Matt, TK, Sora, Izzy, Joe and Mimi became the Digidestineds as shown in later episodes)
I thought I make a nod to it with Agumon liking that Anime as well… (Think of it as a small nod for Anime Otakus out there)
**Yeah, Obviously Jab at Mr. Enter's review of Your Name…. (Again, Less said about the Guy, His Growing Around Project and the 9/11 Turning Red Drama the better….)
Though Given the Guy's Opinion on Turning Red, Better keep him away form something like Fruit Basket or Teasing Master Takagi San for his own sanity…And Not just because of how his Asexual either
(And Also, Yes, Agumon's Asexual since well, Digimon don't normally reproduce right (They mostly get reborn depending on the Digital World they're form AKA Adventure and the V-Pet Style games like Next Order and the Original Digimon World)?)
***It's basically a Common thing for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory adaptations to make the Bratty Kids (AKA Augutus, Violet, Veruca and Mike) more Bratty/Jerkass to justify why they should be punished….
Violet's the poster-child of this because while the other Three Kids being punished is reasonable why (Especially in this Age and Time given Moblie Phones being like portable TVs, So Yeah, Try not to use Screens to Babysit your Kids and Actually be there for them…)… Gum Chewing isn't as frowned upon in the Modern Day to say the least (Save for Countries where Chewing Gum Consumption is considered Illegal) even if in the past it was…
So Adaptations are often know for Violet to have her Gum Chewing as part of the Problem with her rather then it being the source of it (One Example being the 2005 Film where Violet's Mom is basically one of those Stag Moms and Violet herself being a Competition Freak) to help justify Violet being a Brat since her Vice wasn't considered as bad nowadays compared to the past….

The Marvelous Magalors (AKA Magalor himself, Nemona and her Pokemon (Pawmot/Skelidrege/Goodra), Neku, Morgan, Fiora, Hilda, Phoenix Wright and the Octolings Desti (Form SMG4's Videos like Meggy was) and Eight (Form the Splatoon Manga)…) are basically my Future Extras for a Possible Smash 6/Ultimate Definitive Game….
Think of this as a Possible Preview for things to come should Smash 6 ACTUALLY become a thing…. (But the MM (Marvelous Magalors) are sticking around at least
I know it's a Case of Putting all of one's Eggs into a Single Basket but it's a Plot bunny that won't escape me and I figured why not?
(Hey, Might as well NOT try to focus on Bashing SwSh/Galar as much as possible given my future plans with Galar and Marnie… aren't going to be very pleasant to say the least)
Still, I plan to write more stories about them soon at least…. So yeah, I may have future Stories planned for the Future Smash 6 Extras as well….
Oh, And as for the Mentioning of Juliana being a Mermaid by Nemona (And Cameo with her, Avern and Penny?)

Given Gloria's Scottish Trainer Memes, I figured I could make Juliana a Mermaid to spice up my Stories at least…. (And Before you ask, No, This doesn't mean my Metamorphosis Fics are canon to WoL-DX, It's mostly just a Nod to them (So just think of WoL-DX!Juliana and Mer!Juliana being Different People despite both of them being Mermaids, Same with Nemona in my Smash Bros Stories and Mermaid Stories as well)…So don't worry about it…)
TL:DR-While Juliana's a Mermaid in both the Deluxe-Verse/Mermaid Fics in the Metamorphosis Story Collection… Both Stories ARE SEPARATE CONTINUITIES and thus, Both DX-Verse Juliana and Mermaid!Juliana or separate Characters, Same with Nemona as well….The Only connecting factor is Juliana being a Mermaid and that's it…. (And also Juliana and Avern being a Couple, And Yes, I do ship Juliana with Avern as well…)

And the Absence of the Unsung Heroes in this Story… It's related to what I mentioned about Marnie above… and Given my Hatred for SwSh as of Late… (Something I personally want to avoid for Scarlet and Violet… I rather not cause a Cycle of Hatred like I did with Galar to say the least)
Let's Marnie's Story in the Deluxe-Verse would be a Tragic One to say the least…. (While also being meant to develop Jibanyan, Protoman and Sora as well….)
And I apologize to any Galar/SwSh/Marnie Fan reading this fic that anything SwSh/Galar would be bashed to no end in this story or WoL-DX….

It's Actually Pretty Good! (Like Seriously! It's like Legends: Arceus and Scarlet and Violet for us Pokemon Fans whom think Black 2 and White 2 are Peak Pokemon, It's Actually a Surprisingly Good Movie at least)
It's up there with Your Name at least and also an improvement Over Weathering With You (Granted, The Latter's not a Bad Flim compared to the Crap Disney's been putting out lately but it's Ending can understandably make people pissed off at least….)
While it's not a Complete Masterpiece, it IS a Genuinely Good Flim in an Era of Flims where Wokeness is considered the Norm (Especially form Disney)
The Animation is Beautiful and Gorgeous as per Makato's Usual Craft and a Good Relief for those vomiting blood at the likes of both Disney and WB's Disasters (AKA THE LIVE ACTIONS REMAKES/MISHANDLING OF STAR WARS AND MARVEL FOR DISNEY AND THE EXISTANCE OF THE VELMA SHOW AND THE AMBER HEARD/ERZA MILLER DRAMA FOR WB) as well….
And even the CGI Stuff looks decent at least, Basic Sure, but the 2D of that Flim is definitely Chef Kiss Prefect at least! ;)
While the Romance between Suzume and Sota may not be as Developed as Your Name's Romance between Taiki and Mitshuna's… It's because the Romance's not the direct focus this time around (Even Makato himself said it that Suzume's story is not Romance based like Your Name's but more of a Coming of Age…) around as Suzume's Story is more so a Coming of Age for Suzume overcoming her Past and the truma after her Mother's Death….
But for what it's worth, Suzume's Plot and Story Development was good… It's not Prefect but it's still did it's Job well at least (Just remember to approach it with an Open Mind and not compare it to Your Name at least…And you should be good… Maybe that's why Makato's trying to tell people not to get so obsessed with Your Name since it'll make it harder to enjoy his other flims because of it's popularity)

Character Wise, I'll just stick for our Two Leads (And our Feline Ataganoist) to keep this Review Short-ish….
Suzume's Character definitely IS NOT A COPY OF MISTUHA NOR IS SHE CONSIDERED WOKE LIKE THOSE WAH-MEN…. (*COUGH* REY SKYWALKER *COUGH* SHE HULK *COUGH* LA MULAN* COUGH*) and again, It's works for what Makato was writing for her in the Context of the Flim… Since he managed to succeed in making Suzume a Developed Character moving form her Past and letting others into her life (Basically giving a Sense of Closure for Suzume besides sealing the Doors as well)
Her Struggles are different form Mitshuna's obviously but it's still does sting Emotionally as well (Again, Losing a Love One (A Parent Especially whom's Single) while distancing yourself form even your own Aunt is understandable to avoid feeling Hurt again is something we can relate to at some point) and it's better to see the Flim for yourself to understand what I mean….
Sota's a little Complicated however given his Situation being stuck in a Chair (Ala Kuzco being a Llama in Emperor's New Groove) means he doesn't get as much development as Taiki does in Your Name… But his Character and motivations are explored as well and his situation does have some Reason to care about him….
Not the Best Development but it's better then nothing I suppose… (Hey, Given how Guys haven't gotten the best treatment in recent years by Hollywood (AND DISNEY ESPECIALLY), Things could have went worse with Sota I Suppose…. Since at the Very Least, Sota wasn't belittled by Suzume (At least NOT in the Same way MCU!She Hulk does) nor did she instantly understand how to seal the Doors (And again, Suzume does learn and mature instead of being instantly Good at things unlike the likes of Rey….
But his Situation does give a reasonable-ish answer why Suzume has to seal the Doors (beyond her wanting to fix the Mess she unintentionally Started) as well, Can't do much when you're a Chair and slowly freezing away into a Replacement Seal as well) and at the Very Least, he AND Suzume defeated the W$$$ Together as well instead of just the Latter (Again, Disney!Star Wars would have Rey be the Mary Sue she is and fix everything on her own)

Now for Daijin, AKA THE CAT…
Now, AN interesting thing about both Your Name and Weathering With You is how both Films DON'T HAVE A VILLAIN (If you don't consider a Sky Spirits to be Baddies and more of a Force of Nature) in them (Which is a Rough Topic to bring up to Disney Fans (And to a lesser Extent, Pokemon Fans even if Volo does scratch that itch in a way for us) given how Lately Traditional Disney Villains like Jafar and Ursula are a thing of the Past being replaced for Twist Villains and Generation Truma) which as shown above when Pikachu and Mewtwo discussed about it (And the Stuff about Roald Dhal's Books, Well more so Charlie and the Chocolate Factory about while the Naughty Kids are basically antagonists, Aren't really Villains in the Traditonal Sense and moreso Foils for Charlie and how he became the Last Child Standing).
Daijin is basically the 'Antagonist' of Suzume and basically a Driving point for it, A Good Way to give it a Leg of it's own (Pun somewhat intended given Souta's Situation?) to the likes of Your Name where that flim doesn't really have a Villain in it either or even Miyazaki's Flims with Spirited Away or Princess Mononoko (Remember, Ghibli Flims don't necessary have villains like for example and while Yuuba may be the Closest thing Spirited Away has to an Actual Villain…She's does have some shades of Grey in her at least, Same with Lady Eboshi whom would normally be seen as the Villain, also shows some Grey and Valid Points despite clashing with San and her Wolf Family)….
I won't spoil what he does, But all I can say is, Keep what I mentioned above with Hayao Miyazaki does with his Antagonists in his Films in mind when you see Daijin, There's more to him then it meets the Eye…. (Heck, Miyazaki DID Prove that Stories without Villains CAN Work, But you need to be a Writer on His Level to pull if off however….Which Sadly Disney Lacks those type of Writers nowadays…)
(Also, All I can say is those Disasters/the W$$$ reminds me of Calamity Ganon… Like Seriously, Deep Red strands of Energy that causes Ruin? Bet you Zelda Fans whom seen this Film would compare it to the big Monster Form of Ganon of the Era of the Wild at least given how Ghibli Flims (Mononoke especially) were the Inspiration for BOTW as well)
Plus, Daijin's definitely a Chaotic Character done Fairly Well at least (Once again, You need to see things for yourself before you dived right in)

Overall, Regardless of your Opinion on Western Cinema (Especially DISNEY…. Which is worse then Paper Mario Sticker Star/Sonic 06/Pokemon Sword and Shield if you ask me… Yeah I know, Shocker Mr. Salamence
Who Hates Galar/SwSh so Much like how Chuggaconroy Hates Sticker Star' praises it for once….But in all Seriousness though, Try to avoid Watching Disney Live Action Remakes if you wish to not get overstressed….), You should check out Suzume at least once…
It's good, Trust me (It's on Level of Your Name as well)
It's a good way to remind us Japan's still in the Game and Safe form the Woke-Virus that Infected the likes of Disney and Warmer Brothers and also that Stories without a Clear Cut Villain CAN Work despite Disney's Attempts at them (Looking at you Strange World and Lightyear….)
Heck, Miyazaki (Yes THE MIYAZAKI) has proven a Story without a Clear Villain CAN Work (Princess Mononoke comes to mind ESPECIALLY) with his Flims and how Most of his Stories show us how a Grey Area Story can work….
And while Suzume's not exactly comparable to the aforementioned Film, It's clear why People consider Makato the new Miyazaki for a reason (Even if the former doesn't see it that way) since as mentioned before, Suzume's not as black and white as you think despite Daijin's intial impression of being an Antagonist….)
So do whatever you can to see Suzume at least!
