Aboard the Arrowhead, Ignoblia had once more summoned Cuborg and Keldor for a briefing. "At the behest of Lord Archris, I have chosen to bring out this in order to deal with the problem of the Power Rangers opposing us." She opened a black box, to reveal a silver mechanism with a prominent red button on it.

"Has it really come to this?", Keldor asked. "Surely the Rangers haven't proven enough of a threat to warrant that we deploy THIS?"

"Maybe not.", Ignoblia responded. "But regardless, it would be better to eliminate them before they can become a threat. And this won't end like the previous times we deployed this."

"And how will you ensure that?", Cuborg asked.

Ignoblia answered by holding up a box. "Because I've constructed this, to ensure its destruction won't be random. I shall control it the whole time."

Down on Earth, Johnny had made the mistake of taking Tora out shopping. And like the women on Earth, Tora was all too willing to try on new clothes and shoes. To the point that she had come out with a mink coat and high heels, along with three similar looking pairs that Johnny was carrying with him as they walked through the town square. "It's nice of you to pay for the clothes, Johnny.", Tora assured him. "I may be getting some money from working, but I haven't put it in the bank yet. And I'm not sure it would cover all these clothes I've bought, plus whatever I'm about to see."

"No problem.", Johnny assured her, his voice barely hiding sarcasm. "It only cost me three months wages for working at a zoo people barely visit."

"I see some adapt quickly.", a man dressed in clothes that seemed like they were made from scavenged parts, complete with a bandana, commented, causing the pair to stop. "You can barely feel that you're an Animan underneath that DNA cloak."

Tora was immediately suspicious. "Who are you?", she asked. "How do you know I'm an Animan? Have you been spying on me?"

But before she could get an answer, the screens on the walls were filled with static, before being replaced by that of Ignoblia. "Good day, Power Rangers. Only those with your Primal Power will be able to perceive this message. Me and the other Hunters will be waiting to talk with you in the city centre. Be there in one hour, or we shall turn to violence to lure you out. And do not attempt to inform anyone else to accompany you." With that said, the screen returned to normal view.

"Well, I suppose you'd better go.", the man insisted to Johnny and Tora. "I'll meet you later to resume this conversation." The two wasted no time dumping their purchases on him, before running off. "I suppose they just expect me to take this back to the zoo-house then."

Soon enough, the 5 Rangers met up in the square, where Ignoblia, Keldor and Cuborg were stood atop a building, with the silver apparatus placed on the ground. "What's the meaning of this?", Lenny asked. "Don't you guys normally send out a monster for us to fight?"

"Not this time.", Keldor answered. "We've come to offer you a deal."

"You have proved too powerful for us to best in combat.", Cuborg continued. "And have made far greater headway in recovering the Cubezords than we have."

"Are- are you really surrendering?", Marina asked.

"All you need to do is press that button.", Ignoblia stated. "After which, our ship's orbit can be unlocked, allowing us to leave."

"Well, if that's all it takes.", Tora said as she approached the button.

But Trunks stopped her. "Wait, we don't know for sure that this will end the battle.", he pointed out. "After all, they're being very vague in answering our questions."

"If you press that button," Ignoblia said, seeming in repsonse, "then our conflict will soon be concluded."

"Well if that's what's at stake…" Johnny went over and pushed the button. "There, now you can leave this planet."

"Who said that that button was keeping us from leaving?", Keldor laughed. "You should have listened to your friend." Sure enough, the box expanded in size, deploying spikes from the top and a torso from the bottom, with legs emerging from the torso, along with a pair of arms with claws on the end. Finally, the red button was covered with a metal outer casing, becoming an eye.

"Indeed. That button simply discharged a portion of your Primal Power into the device.", Cuborg informed them. "Awakening Master Archris's ultimate trump card, the Destructoid."

The 5 Rangers were shocked by this. "You mean, we helped create that thing?", Tora asked.

"Oh, nothing so self-loathing worthy.", Ignoblia assured them. "The Destructoid was built in the event Archris ever failed to recover a planet's greatest quarry, so that he could ensure his potential enemies weren't able to acquire it for themselves by destroying the planet. It's normally out of control, but I can change that specifically for you." She held up the box full of controls. "I'm going to use it to make you pay for what you did to Master Archris."

"If it's a fight you want.", Johnny stated. "Then you've got one. "It's Morphin' Time!"

Everyone took out their Morphers and initiated the sequence. "Primal Spirits, Awaken!" In an instant, they were transformed into the Rangers, pulling out their Primal Saber's and running in to do battle.

"Bring it on.", Ignoblia nodded, as she operated the controls.

The Destructoid fired lasers from cannons on its sides, but the Rangers deflected using their weapons. Johnny then tried using his for a slash attack, but the Destructoid downloaded date from the archives, allowing Ignoblia to move it out of the way to avoid the hit. "What?" Marina then tried running forward, but the robot's claws were used to knock her back, before pushing Johnny to the ground. "We're not beat yet." The Rangers tried attacking again, but Ignoblia had the robot spin around, deflecting all of their attacks. But when they tried attacking at once, holding the robot in place with their Primal Sabers, the Destructoid pushed all of them out of the way, before knocking all of them down with its claws.

"It's resisting all our moves.", Marina noted as she and the others pulled themselves up.

"Don't like that, huh?", Ignoblia asked. "Well let's see how you like the Power Annihilation Cannon!" She pressed a button, causing the Destructoid to fire blue bolts from its claws that buffeted all the Rangers at once. Johnny in particular, collapsed from the strain.

But he was quickly able to pull himself up. "Now then, let's kick this to the next level. "Ready, guys?"

"Ready.", everyone said, as they initiated their transformation. "Primal Mode, Unleash!"

All of them attempted to attack the Destructoid. But it's arms were durable enough to resist Lenny's claws, it's speed was enough to move out of the way of Tora and Trunks, it's chest armour took no damage when Marina hit it, with the Shark Ranger being blown backwards through the air into Johnny, knocking him out of the sky. "Double Claw Slash!" Lenny and Tora tried attacking at the same time, but the robot was able to move out of the way, allowing Trunks to take the hit. It then fired its chest cannon before any apologies could be given. The Rangers weren't even given time to recover, as the robot fired more lasers, that destroyed their Primal Mode additions.

"He's pretty strong.", Trunks noted.

"And fast.", added Lenny.

Johnny still managed to pull himself to his feet. "I've no choice but to go ape. Primal Change: Gorilla!" He transformed into the Gorilla Ranger, trying to leap towards the robot.

"No, we can't have that.", Ignoblia decided, as she pressed a button labelled 'Gigantify'. "As they say, go big or go home." As the button was pressed, the Destructoid enlarged to a giant state, kicking Johnny back. "Cuborg, get inside that thing." She gave him the control box and teleported away.

"Alright.", Cuborg nodded, leaping inside a cockpit built into the Destructoid, and locking the box into a groove, turning it into a control panel. "Let's see how this thing does against your Megazords."

"Challenge accepted.", Johnny said, as the others managed to pull themselves up. He threw the Eagle cube to Marina. "Think you can handle this without me?"

"Shouldn't be too hard.", Marina assured him.

Everyone then presented their own cubes, in addition to the Eagle. "Cubezords, enlarge!"

Johnny, Trunks and Tora then combined the three they were piloting. "Jungle Megazord, ready!"

Marina did likewise with the two she controlled, and Lenny's. "Beast Force Megazord, ready!"

The two Megazords stood together, until Lenny had the Beast Force move forward. "It's time we break this overgrown dishwasher."

"Wait, we should plan thi- oh, never mind." Marina sighed, before using the control weapon to swing the Savage Saber into the robot. But it failed to have an effect, as the Destructoid merely knocked the sword back, before blowing bursts of debris at the robot.

"Let's end this now.", Johnny declared as he loaded his Morpher into his own control weapon. "Savage Cannon, Primal Blast!"

Marina did likewise. "Savage Saber, Primal Slash!"

But the Destructoid caught the sword, before stopping the Jungle from firing its own weapon. "What's it gonna take to stop this thing?", Tora asked.

"Nothing short of a hundred Cubezords.", Cuborg laughed briefly. "Now time for the Grinder Probe!" The Destructoid used a built in chainsaw and drill to attack both Megazords, knocking both of them down. "Now time for the Super Power Annihliator!" The claws of the Destructoid once more filled with energy, before turning to the Megazords.

"Is this the end?", Marina asked. "I-I can't figure a way out."

"We need to keep going.", Lenny insisted. He had the Beast Force move forward.

"Right.", Tora and Trunks nodded as they did likewise.

"Wait!", Johnny called out. "We can't just run in blind."

Sure enough, both Megazords were hit by a full power blast that knocked the individual Zords back into their smaller cube forms, with the 5 Rangers knocked out of their Morph, landing on the ground. "I can't believe it. He beat us.", Trunks stated.

"And now I'm going to end you for good.", Cuborg stated as he once more aimed the cannons of the Destructoid. But then, the lights went out within the cockpit. "Hey, what's happening?"

The robot then shrank down into its original form, forcing him out. Keldor then approached him. "It looks like the Power Annihilator refers to more than just its anti-Ranger capabilities. It literally consumes massive amounts of energy using it."

"So what does that mean?", Cuborg asked.

"It means that, as unfortunate as it may sound, we have to give the Rangers a reprieve.", Keldor growled, as he picked up the inactive Destructoid. "But know this Rangers, your reprieve will be very short lived." With that said, he and Cuborg teleported away.

The other Rangers had just pulled themselves back up when they heard this. "Looks like we don't have long to work out our next move.", Lenny pointed out. "So what are we going to do?"

Johnny, for once, was hesitant. "I don't know. I really don't know."

Back aboard the Arrowhead, Ignoblia replaced the drained batteries in the Destructoid with a fresh pair. "We're not leaving the Rangers with any time to prepare.", she decided. "I said we'd end this conflict here, and I meant it."

"So, you'll be taking this back down and piloting it to battle against them?", Keldor asked.

"No, you will.", Ignoblia insisted, handing over the control box to him. "I have important business elsewhere." She then went over to a concealed compartment, opening it to reveal a selection of DNA Cloaks, taking out one marked 'human' in their language. Keldor was intrigued, but didn't follow Ignoblia as she left.

Back on Earth, the 5 Rangers stumbled back to the zoo-house, to nurse their wounds. "That fight could've gone better.", Lenny noted. "Hey, where's Rose?"

"She said she was going off to visit some old friends from school.", Johnny answered. "Which means she'll be gone for a few days."

"If she's gone," Trunks asked. "Then why was the door open when we came back?"

"That would be my doing." A man came out from the shadows, before continuing to speak. "I was given a key by Sir Caesar, and assumed you'd come back here."

Tora was the first to recognise him. "You're the guy we ran into at the mall earlier." She then decided to continue the question she had the last time they met. "And you never answered who you were, or how you know so much about us."

The man closed his eyes in response to this. "Alright. You do at least need to know the truth before we can get off on the wrong foot." He reached into his mouth, and pulled out a DNA Cloak. As the illusion wore off, the man was soon recognisable as…

"Jeremy!", everyone but Johnny blurted out.

"That bird man who saved me.", Johnny added.

"Sorry for the deception, but it was the only way I could move about without causing a scene with the humans.", Jeremy explained. "I saw your recent battles from the sidelines. I have to say, I wasn't impressed with them, anymore than I was with your recent one."

Everyone was shocked to hear this. "What are we doing wrong?", Johnny asked.

"Not you, Johnathan.", Jeremy stated. "I'm impressed by your performance in battle, as was Sir Caesar, from what I heard. But the rest of you, you've all gotten sloppy since leaving Cubalia. Whereas Johnny kept fighting even when the odds were against him, all of you simply lay there and watched, like lovesick puppies."

"Hey, don't judge us solely on that one battle.", Marina insisted. "If it wasn't for us, the world would've been wrecked several times over."

"And if it wasn't for Johnny, none of you would have lasted past your first battle.", Jeremy countered. "All of you need to be retrained before I can allow you to go out and fight again."

As if on cue, Adrien burst into the room, with Jeremy quickly replacing his DNA cloak. "Uh guys, not to alarm you, but that robot thing's back. We should get to safety."

"He's right.", Jeremy stated. "Everyone should get to my hideout in the forest for their own good. Johnny, you go with this guy into town."

"Who's this?", Adrien asked, concerning Jeremy.

"He's… my uncle.", Marina blurted out. "He's visiting us for a while, and as you heard, he's camping out in the woods."

"And I'm avoiding them because of how hard it would be for me.", Johnny added. "Now come on Adrien, show me where the robot's appeared." He grabbed onto the other man, and pulled him out of the room.

Once the pair's footsteps could no longer be heard, Jeremy took his DNA cloak out once more. "That was a close one. Now then everyone, let's head off."

In the town, Adrien led Johnny to a street corner. "It's down there.", Adrien said. "I would stay away if I knew what was good for me."

"I'll be sure to follow that advice.", Johnny nodded, before running towards the scene. "Primal Instincts, Awaken!" Now transformed, he came face to face with the Destructoid, now back at human size. "There's the puppet, but where's the guy pulling the strings?"

"This time, there isn't one." Keldor appeared and fired at Johnny, knocking him back. "I thought I'd set the robot to auto-control, so you had more of a fighting chance. But not much of one."

"I'll take whatever chance I have.", Johnny stated. "Chain Saber!" He summoned his weapon and swung it towards the Destructoid, who used its built-in circular saw to shred through the weapon. But this gave Johnny a chance to try another attack. "Primal Change: Gorilla!" In his new form, he ran forward to fully deliver the punch he had tried earlier. All it succeeded in doing was knocking the robot back several feet, with no visible damage. "Like that'll stop me." Johnny then ran in to continue attacking.

Out in the woods, Jeremy had led the other 4 to the clearing where he had set up camp. "So, you've brought us all out here.", Lenny surmised. "Now what?"

"Try attacking me.", Jeremy answered. Confused, Lenny ran forward to throw a punch, but Jeremy use his arm to knock back his would-be attacker, before delivering a karate chop to Tora and Trunks. He then deactivated his DNA cloak, reverting back to his Animan form. "I suggest you follow my lead if you hope to triumph over me."

"He's right.", Marina said to the others. "In our Animan forms, we might stand a chance." Everyone thus deactivated their DNA cloaks as Jeremy flew back down to use his wings to slash at them.

He then blocked attacks from Tora and Trunks, before kicking Lenny back. "You're all pretty good, now that you've unleashed your full primal power. Hugh I notice that Marina has yet to face me."

"Caught me trying to analyse the situation.", Marina sighed. "Well, if you want me to go primal, then I'll show you just how primal I can get." She leapt up into the air, spinning through the sky towards him.

Jeremy merely reached out to block with his bare hands, throwing her aside with a backhand. "Not bad.", he commented. "I actually felt that. But let's see if you feel this." He then leapt into the air, generating a gust with his wings that blew all of them down, before landing and pulling out his own Chain Saber. "Let's see if I can use this the same way Johnny can." He swung it around, creating a large chain that everyone struggled to dodge, eventually knocking Trunks into Marina.

"Hey!", Lenny growled as he ran forward and used his paws to grab onto Jeremy. "I thought you were trying to help us, not hurt us."

"I am.", Jeremy commented. "I wanted to see you use your beast sides over the human sides you've developed on Earth in combat. It makes you so much more effective in combat.

"Was that all you really wanted?", Trunks asked. "Because if you wanted to see us go Primal, we can do that easily." He took out his Morpher, with the others following.

"Primal Spirits, Awaken!" Everyone instantly morphed, before assuming their enhanced modes. "Primal Mode, Unleash!"

Trunks was the next to attack. "Rock Quaker!"

Jeremy was quick to fly backwards out of the way of the attacks. "Not bad. Looks like you've passed the test."

"Well what about me?" Tora then leapt out and grabbed onto Jeremy. "A good predator knows the value of stealth." She then threw Jeremy down to the ground.

"And surprise attacks.", Marina added as she used her Tidal Impact to slam into Jeremy, who was then hit with a flurry of elemental slashes from Tora and Lenny.

Lenny then kicked Jeremy to the ground, whereupon he pulled himself up to see the 4 adopting battle stances. "Good work. Now go for the kill. Don't hesitate."

"Ok.", Lenny nodded, as he led the others in attacking. "Lion-tning Crash!"

Jeremy took the attack, which was powerful enough to knock something out of his pocket. Something that Trunks recognised. "The power enhancer you took. You still can't use it?"

"Not to morph, no." Jeremy said as he pulled himself up. "But for every new combination you've unlocked so far, it's been gradually changing, as if in reaction to your growing power." He picked the cube-like item up… and opened it to reveal a keypad. "In it's current state, I've been able to figure out the combination codes for potential future combinations, both with the 8 Zords you have so far, and the 4 that are still lost."

The Rangers were surprised to hear this. "You mean there are 12 Cubezords in total?", Tora asked.

"Well 13, if you count the Whale Zord, but no-one's seen that in eons.", Marina pointed out.

"Yes. The remaining 4 are an Alligator, a Wolf and two smaller blanks, similar to the ones that became the Giraffe and Mole Zords.", Jeremy clarified.

Lenny then asked the question that was on his mind. "That reminds me, why are some of the Zords smaller than the others? Is there a caste system among them, or what?"

"The smaller ones are meant purely to work as capacitors.", Jeremy answered him. "Normally, only three Zords at a time can combine to form a Megazord. But the smaller ones generate extra energy that allows for multiple Zords to combine. Since you've acquired two, you can form a combination of roughly four through six."

This gave Trunks an idea. "So if we can combine all 6 of our Zords into one Megazord, then… we can stand a chance against that robot next time."

But before they could act on this information, something burst out of the woods. It was a creature that seemed to be a mix of fur and cube-like textures, with a head resembling a rhinoceros, while its arms looked like a Wolf's head and an alligator's jaws respectively. "What is that thing?", Tora asked, frightened. "Another Hunter?"

"No, this is something else.", Jeremy explained. "I ran into this thing back when I first appeared on Earth. It's what happened to my friends, Al, Rhine and Were, and I assume from what Johnny told me also what happened to his brother."

"Wait, Johnny has a brother?", Marina asked. "He never mentioned that to us."

"Never mind that now.", Jeremy insisted. "I'll hold this thing off. You go after Johnny. Tell him… you need to pool your resources. The code is '1-2-3-4-5-6'. Good luck." He then charged in and began grappling with the creature.

The other Rangers looked back for only a moment. "You heard him. Let's get moving.", Lenny called out, getting them back on track.

Back at the scene, Johnny was continuing to pound at the Destructoid, tiring himself up. "Alright, I think I've almost broken this thing into scrap.", he wheezed.

"Yes, keep telling yourself that.", Keldor said in response, laughing quietly. "You're so tired, that I can safely say that the next use of the Power Annihilator won't be wasted."

"I hope you've still got the warranty for that cannon." The other 4 Rangers appeared, who Marina and Tora doing a punch each to Keldor's chest, followed by Lenny and Trunk delivering kicks. "Because it's about to expire.", the former of the 4 continued.

"You guys.", Johnny said as he reverted to his Eagle form and ran over to them. "You came."

"We completed Jeremy's training.", Tora clarified. "In the end, all we had to do was unleash our inner animals."

"We've been on Earth among humans for so long we've started to think like them in battle.", Lenny noted.

"But now, we're stronger than ever.", Trunks said as he took out his Primal Saber. "So let's go."

"Right.", everyone else nodded as they also pulled out the Primal Sabers. "Wild Slash!" They once more merged into a claw, which went crashing into the Destructoid, blowing it up.

But rather than being destroyed, the robot instead returned to giant size, with Keldor leaping inside. "Maybe it was a mistake to let this go uncontrolled.", he decided. "I'll use it to crush the Rangers myself."

"Good luck with that.", Johnny replied, as everyone held their cubes out. "Cubezords, enlarge!"

Everyone promptly leapt inside their Zords. "Alright, let's try out the new code Jeremy gave us.", Trunks stated, as he input the code. "Let's combine all the Zords into one greater whole."

"Right.", Johnny said as he spun the Morpher's top to convert it to Megazord mode.

The 6 main Zords leapt through the fiery rings that appeared, before going through a new combination. First, the Elephant cube landed on the ground, with the Lion and Shark cubes stacking on top of it. Then the Tiger cube stacked on top of the Shark, with the Eagle and Gorilla attaching to the sides of the Tiger. The Giraffe and Mole cubes then opened up into cuboids which attached to the legs of this new formation, with the bulk of the cannon from the Gorilla Zord forming a chest plate. The Eagle and Gorilla opened up into arms, before the head from the Beast Force Megazord once more landed in the centre of the formation. Finally, the cannon from the Jungle Megazord opened into a headdress that completed the look. All 5 Rangers then materialised within the cockpit. "Jungle Beast Megazord, ready!"

Down in the woods, Jeremy saw his power enhancer transform into a golden cube, similar to the Primal Morphers, but without any decals. "So, my theory has some truth to it.", he noted before continuing to grapple with the beast.

"It actually worked.", Marina said with some surprise. "We really combined all 6 into one."

"You could combine 100 into one and it wouldn't give you any advantage.", Keldor noted. "I'll till crush you." He had the Destructoid move in closer to attack. "Power Annihilator, fire!" He launched the robot's weapons, but the new Jungle Beast Megazord merely walked right through it. "No, impossible."

"It clearly isn't, given we just did it.", Trunks pointed out. "And now you've used up half your energy."

"Which gives us a clear shot at winning this.", Tora pointed out. Having outpaced the explosions, the Jungle Beast then proceeded to throw a punch that managed to knock the Destructoid back. Followed shortly after by more punches.

"Ah, you've damaged a lot of the weapons systems.", Keldor fumed. "But not the black box with this robot's battle data on it. I just need a distraction." He proceeded to fire the Power Annihilator once more.

"That old move again?", Johnny asked. "Well if you're going to go all out, then we'll oblige." He inserted his Morpher onto the control weapon.

"Jungle Beast Stampeding Strike!" The Jungle Beast fired energy versions of its components at the Power Annihilator's beam, with the two meeting in mid-air. After a brief showdown, the Rangers proved victorious, and the Destructoid was destructed. "Top of the food chain!"

On the ground, Keldor had managed to get out, carrying the data with him. "Perhaps if I show Archris that I can use this data to upgrade the next Destructoid model, then he'll be predisposed to be lenient." He then turned and walked away. "Which is more than I can say I will be to the Power Rangers."

In the woods, Jeremy had managed to subdue the creature. "Alright, you're going to show me where you've been hiding out.", he stated. "And tell me what you did with Johnny's brother. Talk!"

"Oh, I don't think that's very nice.", another voice commented, pulling out a weapon and firing it. Jeremy was taken aback, giving the creature an opportunity to escape. "Whatever that creature is, I think it will make a good subject for further study."

Back at the zoo house, the Rangers sat back and watched the news. "And this was the scene of the local Power Rangers that showed up recently destroying the killer robot menacing our city on behalf of the Space Hunters. In other news, Dr. Florence Primavera today donated a rare plant seed to the University's botanical study department. She claims that the plant will "help solve the problems of deforestation and animal extinction once fully cultiv-."

Trunks turned the television off. "Looks like the media see this as another battle between good and evil. Don't they care how close we came to total extinction?"

"Eh, Power Rangers have been fighting off aliens for over three decades.", Johnny pointed out. "Including two full-scale invasions. What we did was another day at the office by comparison."

"Speaking of going through the same thing again…", Marina interjected. "That's right, I've learned a few expressions - thanks to Jeremy, we know why you spend your weekends going into the woods, Johnny. And I'd just like to say, that if it was my brother who was missing, I'd be doing the same thing."

"Which is why we talked about it…", Lenny continued "and we'll be using our free time to help you look."

Johnny was shocked. "You-you mean it?"

"Of course.", Tora said. "We're practically a family now. And that makes your brother a part of this family."

"And now we know that there was a monster in those woods, we just need to locate him and follow the trail.", Trunks stated. "And even then, we don't even know what he looks like."

Johnny went over to a portrait, which he removed to reveal a safe, which he opened to take out a photograph. It depicted him as a teenager, with an older man with blonde hair, dressed in black clothes. "This was taken a few days before the incident. He'd be about my age in this picture."

And so the 4 Animen took in the picture, knowing now that they had a secondary motive for being on Earth, besides the defeat of the Space Hunters.
