Aboard the Arrowhead, Ignoblia was explaining her latest plan to Cuborg and Keldor. "Thornhead can release a pollen from the natural flowers on her body that will place anyone breathing it in into a dreamlike bliss, in which their heart's desire is fulfilled. The Rangers will go down in seconds."

"Perhaps.", Cuborg responded. "But what use will she be in recovering the remaining Cubezords?"

"Perhaps she'll just be like the last plant alien we trusted.", Keldor snarked. "After all, Trunkrush was a great success, wasn't he?" The two started to laugh

"I'm aware that Trunkrush wrote cheques his body couldn't cash.", Ignoblia stated, barely concealing rage. "But can you say that any of your choices of warrior were any better?" The pair immediately went silent. "As I was saying, Thornhead has been cultivating a large seed pod that contains enough of her pollen to envelop an entire planet. Once it burrows to a certain distance between the Earth's soil and its mantle, then it will be able to disperse the pollen all over the world."

It was then that Thornhead made her appearance. She was an alien who appeared to be made of wood and vines, with two large flowers on her shoulders. "And once my spores cover every inch of this planet, the Cubezords will assume all is safe and emerge, at which point we can take them with little incident."

Keldor was intrigued. "When do you plan to plant this seed pod?"

"I already have.", Thornhead answered, taking out a watering can. "All that's left is to bring in the Power Rangers."

Some time later, Thornhead observed the seed pod at a warehouse. "Soon my pretty, we shall spread our roots across this pathetic planet and turn its people into plant food." She then observed a screen, which showed the 5 Rangers meeting up in the city. "And our first prey will be them."

A few minutes later, Thornhead leapt through the streets, to where the 4 Rangers could see her, with everyone else being scared off. "Another one.", Lenny sighed. "When will you aliens take 'no' for an answer?"

"Probably never.", Trunks sighed. "Well, we might as well get it over with."

"Primal Instincts, Awake-!" Before they could finish the sentence, Thornhead sprayed all 5 with her pollen, causing them to collapse into unconsciousness.

"Ha ha. That should keep all of you from thwarting my plans until it's-." But Thornhead was interrupted by Lenny, leaping up to his feet. "Impossible! You should've been sucked into your ideal world and trapped there for hours."

"You underestimated me.", Lenny declared. "My ideal world was one where we could defeat you easily."

He thought back to the fantasy he had lived through. The 5 Rangers came running to see a giant Thornhead smashing a factory. "Wow, she's already big.", Johnny noted.

"That makes things easy.", Tora nodded.

"Oh yeah?", the giant Thornhead asked as she tore a pylon straight up from the ground. "Let's see how long it takes me to replace these steel trees with real trees."

"You won't get the chance.", Lenny announced as he stepped in front of Johnny. "Cubezords, enlarge!"

He, Johnny and Marina summoned their Zords and combined them into one. "Beast Force Megazord, ready!"

"So, you're fighting with land, sea and sky in one package.", Thornhead noted. "While they're important to help flowers grow, you aren't." She then threw the pylon at the Megazord, who barely blocked it.

"Oh no, she's too powerful.", Johnny announced, with no emotion in his voice.

Marina practically started bawling. "Won't somebody brave, dashing and noble, preferably a big cat, save us from this?"

"Allow me!", Lenny announced as he grabbed Johnny's control weapon. "Savage Saber!" He then had the Megazord break free from the pylon, before inserting his Morpher into the slot. "Savage Saber, Primal Slash!"

The Megazord then unleashed its sword attack to finish off Thornhead. "Curse you, Lion Ranger. You're oh so handsome and brave!" And with that, Thornhead died. And then Lenny had realised it was a dream and woke up.

"You really underestimated my ideal world.", Lenny laughed at Thornhead.

"Maybe, but your friends are perfectly suckered in.", Thornhead pointed out. Lenny gasped at this, and moved to try and shake them awake. "Made you look!" She then threw the special growth mixture for her seed pod at the Animan. While harmless to plants, it became combustible when interacting with skin and hair. Lenny was thus thrown backwards by the force of the blast. "I'd finish you off, but I have other business. So I'll leave you with your friends in peril. Ta-ta." She then teleported away.

"Oh no.", Lenny gasped as he went over to the prone figure of Marina. "Come on, whatever's sucking you in, fight it and wake up. Marina!"

"Marina! Marina!" She regained her vision to see the figure of her younger brother, a fellow humanoid shark no older than eight years old, leaning over her. "Hey, she's awake, everybody. Marina is not dead."

"You'll be dead in a minute.", Marina roared as she reached out for him. The two then started laughing. "Ah, Sammy. It's been a while since I've been able to do this."

"Nice to see someone's up and about." Marina saw her mother and father come in. "How are you feeling, honey?"

"I'm fine, Dad.", Marina insisted. "I'm just maybe getting a little too into my first break in a while."

"I'll say.", Marina's mother nodded. "You didn't even stop to greet your other brothers and sisters." She gestured to an aquarium in which several smaller Shark Animen, all of them still in their infancy and not used to breathing oxygen yet, were swimming about, before coming to the face of the glass.

"Hey, kiddos.", Marina said as she blew a kiss at the glass. "Sorry I've been away working, but now, I promise. Your big sis is gonna be spending a lot of time with you."

Elsewhere, Lenny had called in Grandma Rose to help him carry the others back to the zoo. "If only I knew anything about entering their greatest desires, I could free them."

"Luckily for you, I might know a thing or two." Rose walked over to a pile of logs, or at least that's what it looked like to Leo. As he sat down next to her, she lit them to create a fire, and then had Lenny sit opposite her. "My grandfather showed me that this powder had the ability to connect with the Wakan Tanka, who will guide you through the realm of dreams to find those trapped within."

"So, I just throw that powder in and I can enter their heads?", Lenny asked.

"Nothing so simple.", Rose slapped him in the face. "You need to focus on the resulting flame, picture the person or persons whose minds you wish to enter. Only then, will we be able to save Johnny and the others." She then threw the powder into the fire, causing it to turn dark purple. "Think hard, Lenny. Concentrate. Think of your friends as you stare deeply into the fire, and you shall enter their minds."

Elsewhere, the seed pod continued to burrow its roots into the ground, with some of them coming across a cube shaped rock, which began to glow as the roots wrapped around it, sending out a beam that targeted a passing-through mole burrowing through the nearby dirt. While the mole continued unabated, the roots continued to wrap around the rock while more continued to burrow.

But up above, Thornhead was unaware of this, as Ignoblia came for a progress report. "Well? Did you get all of the Rangers?"

"I'm sorry, Lady Ignoblia.", Thornhead said as she bowed in supplication. "But the Yellow one managed to break free of my spores. But he's one man, who couldn't defeat me by himself."

"That's good to hear. We'll deal with him in due time.", Ignoblia responded, excited. "But enough of that, did you prepare what I asked for?"

"It's right here.", Thornhead answered, as she handed over a smaller, but no less alien, seed than the seed pod. "Creating a flower with what you wanted in its biology wasn't easy. I hope it was all worth it."

"Oh, don't worry.", Ignoblia assured her subject. "Archris will make one blunder too many and destroy himself soon enough. And then, this little seed will blossom into a brand new universe. My universe."

Elsewhere, Lenny found his mind no longer in his body, floating through the air. Or what seemed to be air, given that everything seemed to be red. "Whoah, so this is the spirit plane.", he stated. "Now I just need to find this 'Walking Talker', or whatever."

As if on cue, a large hawk appeared in his line of sight. "I am the Wakan Tanka.", the bird said. "You have travelled far, young cub. Transcending worlds to try and locate your friends, so that they can be saved from the seed of darkness."

"Yes.", Lenny nodded. "Can you help me find them?"

"Of course.", the Wakan Takna nodded, as it transformed into Johnny's Ranger suit. "Follow me, into the world of your friends' dreams." Lenny grabbed onto his hand, as the pair flew through a yellow vortex that manifested.

And in said dream world, Marina, Sammy and their parents were going on a walk, when they saw someone the former recognised. "Hey, it's Trunks.", Marina stated. "You guys don't mind if -."

"You go up and say hi?", her mother concluded her sentence for her. "Don't worry, we'll still be here."

"Thanks.", Marina nodded as she went over to Trunks, calling out. "Hey, Trunks."

Trunks looked up from the book he was reading - a rather dreary tale about a shrew - and went over to Marina, waving cheerily. "Hey, Marina. So you're on break from the Planetary Guardians here too?"

"Yeah, I'm spending the time sightseeing with my family.", Marina explained. "What about you?"

"Oh, I'm visiting my father.", Trunks explained. "I felt I could try and see what he could offer me as advice."

Marina was confused. "I thought you and your father weren't on speaking terms. That he'd pretty much disowned you for joining the Planetary Guardians."

Trunks stopped for a minute to ponder this. "You're right. In fact, I'm not even sure how long I've actually been here."

"Neither am I.", Marina realised. She took a look at Trunks's book on magnetism lying there, before shrugging. "Maybe we're just addled. We should probably go somewhere to relax and unwind."

"You're right.", Trunks nodded. "But what about your family? Aren't you doing stuff with them?"

"Eh, I'm sure they'll wait.", Marina assured him. "Let's go."

Elsewhere, Lenny materialised in what appeared to be a familiar place. "This looks like the zoo house. Has the Wiccan Tiki put me back -?" But then he noticed something. The windows didn't depict anything outside but the same sort of vortex he had just travelled through. "No, this must be one of their dreams. And I think I know who."

As if on cue, Johnny appeared. "Lenny, when did you get here? Oh never mind, you can meet him."

"Meet who?", Lenny asked. "Johnny, this is a dream. You need to-."

"My brother.", Johnny answered. "Luke came home after all these years. I can show him to you and the others."

"Where'd he come back from?", Lenny asked. "And why haven't you mentioned a brother before?"

"Because he-.", Johnny stopped as the memory came back to him. "He- he vanished. From right in front of me. Back when I was a kid." The room around them started falling apart. "What's happening?"

"Like I said, this is a dream.", Lenny explained. "And I've managed to shock you out of it, or so it would seem."

Johnny fully regained his bearings. "I remember. That Hunter sprayed us with some kind of pollen that put us to sleep. It must've placed us in a world where I have my brother back."

"More likely one where they all get what they want.", Lenny realised. "And if I remember correctly, there's only one place in the universe they could get that. We need to concentrate on being there, if we're to save them."

And in the illusion of Cubalia, Marina and Trunks had gone to a cafe, where several over Animen were sitting, eating and drinking. "Why did we pick this place?", Trunks asked. "We passed 15 cafes on the way. What's so special about this one?"

"You'll see.", Marina assured him, banging on the bar. "Hey, customer!"

"Alright, I'm coming." A waitress came over, who Trunks took a few seconds to recognise. "Marina, Trunks, what are you guys doing here.", Tora asked.

"Apparently, we were here to see you.", Trunks answered. "I assume you're spending your time off here."

"Yeah, my Momma runs this cafe. I'm working here part time until I go back to work.", Tora explained. "Though to be honest, I'm not sure when that is, or how long I've been here."

"So your head's just as fuzzy as ours.", Trunks realised. "Interesting."

"Tora." The group were then greeted by another tiger woman, one who was taller and dressed in a more formal cafe outfit, complete with apron. But aside from some wrinkles, she was the spitting image of Tora. "So these are friends of yours, I take it?"

"Indeed, Momma.", Tora nodded. "These are Marina and Trunks. As far as I know, Lenny couldn't be here."

"Yeah, I haven't been able to reach Lenny lately.", Trunks added. "He must be really busy right now."

As if on cue, both Lenny and Johnny appeared from nowhere within the cafe. "So this is where you guys hung out on Cubalia?", Johnny asked.

"Well, Marina, Tora and I hung out here.", Lenny corrected him. "Trunks wouldn't be seen dead in a place like…" He then turned and saw Trunks was among the three staring at them. "Well, I suppose anything can happen in a dream."

"H-how did you do that?", Trunks asked. "Appearing in the middle of this place shouldn't be possible."

"It isn't, in reality.", Johnny agreed. "But we're in a dream world, constructed to keep us happy while the Alien Hunters commence with their latest plan."

"It can't be.", Marina insisted. "Johnny, do you realise how unbelievable that sounds?"

"No wait, he has a point.", Tora realised. "Look at everyone else in here." Sure enough, the other inhabitants of the cafe were all horse Animen. "All of these patrons look exactly the same. And Momma, isn't it weird that they're all horses?"

"Not at all.", Tora's mother, or rather the dream version of her, shook her head.

"Now I know something's wrong.", Tora stated. "My mother had horses banned from this cafe a few years ago, when a group of them smashed this place up so badly it had to be rebuilt." Sure enough, the whole building and its inhabitants began to vanish.

"And my dad wouldn't have taken me back in.", Trunks realised. "At least not as easily as he did. There's a lot of bad blood between us." He reached out his hand to Johnny, as Tora did likewise. "We've been dreaming. And now we're about to wake up."

But then, they noticed something. Marina hadn't joined in. Instead, she was staring on in fear. "No, I don't want to leave. Not now." And with that, she turned and ran off.

"We've got to go after her.", Johnny stated, as everyone else nodded.

Back in the real world, the object trapped underground let out a high pitched wail, that was imperceptible to human ears. But to a creature that could hear on a stronger frequency, such as dogs, bats or sharks, it was loud and clear. And even asleep, Marina's body stirred in reaction to it.

And inside the dream, as Marian ran up to her family, she stopped as her body felt the psychic scream. "Honey, what's wrong with you.", her father asked.

"Yeah, you want to stay with us, don't ya, sis?", Sammy asked.

"It's not real.", Marina realised. "I wanted to believe that I was back with my family, that I could spend one more day with them after all this time." She went and hugged her illusory parents. "I will get back to you, and spend some time with you away from my job. But for now, I have a world to save, for the good of everyone. Including my family."

With that said, her family all faded away, as the other Rangers all came onto the scene. "So, I guess you've decided to leave.", Tora asked.

"Indeed.", Marina nodded. She reached out to touch the hands of the others, causing their vision to go black.

In an instant, all 5 of them woke up back at the zoo. "Ah, so I see the Wakan Tanka succeeded in helping save you all.", Rose

"The Wonton what?", Trunks asked.

"It doesn't matter.", Marina interrupted. "While I was dreaming, I felt a psychic scream coming from a Cubezord. It seemed to be under attack by some kind of vine."

"That might be the project that the flower lady was talking about.", Lenny realised.

"Where did you hear the scream from?", Tora asked.

Marina thought for a moment. "It was faint, but I'm sure it was in the warehouse district."

"Then what are we waiting for?", Johnny asked. "We need to get going."

And at the warehouse, the seed pod had increased in size until it almost touched the ceiling, as Thornhead sprayed her growth mixture on it. "A few more minutes, my lovely. And then we'll be ready for full bloom."

"Hold it." Thornhead looked away to see the 5 Rangers run in, already morphed. "We aren't going to let you get us this time.", Johnny stated.

"That's right.", Trunks continued. "These helmets filter out your pollen so we can breathe easily."

"Why you!", Thornhead hissed as she leapt down to where the group were standing. "If that's the case, I'll finish you myself." She tried blasting a higher concentration of her pollen at them, but this was deflected by Johnny's Primal Mode wings, along with Marina sending out a torrent of water, while Lenny unleashed a sonic howl. This successfully blocked the spores' from affecting them.

"Primal Blast!" Lenny, Tora and Trunks fired their weapons at Thornhead, destroying her flowers.

"Hey, those have been growing from my body since I sprouted.", Thornhead yelled.

"Well now you can't try to surprise attack us.", Johnny stated.

"Well you're still too late.", Thornhead announced. "My seed pod is ready to sprout and cover your entire world." Sure enough, vines shot out of the seed pod, wrapped around the Rangers. "Once the roots reach their targets, they'll inject my pollen right into your hearts, putting you to sleep forever. You're finished, Rangers." The 5 were lifted into the air by the roots. "And I will take all of your Cubezords while you're asleep. That is, if the defences I bred into this seed don't do you in." Sure enough, electric shocks were sent down the vines, coursing I tot he bodies of the Rangers.

"Hey!", Marina called out. "I'm sorry. I tried to save you, but I just ended up trapped like you are. My body just isn't flexible enough to get out."

"Who are you talking to?", Thornhead asked.

But her question soon answered itself when the object beneath the ground broke free of the vines by transforming into a mole like form, and burrowed upwards into the warehouse. "Is that… a Mole Zord?", Johnny asked. The Mole Zord subsequently moved straight into the seed pod using a drill on its nose, destroying the seed pod instantly.

"No, all my hard work wasted.", Thornhead lamented. "And the worst part is that I could've got a Cubezord out of it."

The Rangers subsequently fell to the ground. "So it was a Cubezord that called out to me.", Marina realised.

"It must've realised you were also from Cubalia and opened itself to you.", Johnny suggested.

"Nice to meet you, Mole Zord.", Marina said, waving to their rescuer. "Let's work together from now on."

"Enough sappiness." Thornhead then leapt down and began swinging her watering can at the Rangers like a giant razor blade. "If nothing else, I can at least destroy you all."

But Johnny managed to block her weapon. "Let's see you try." He then knocked it back, before initiating his second transformation. "Primal Change: Gorilla!"

The others likewise transformed. "Primal Mode, Unleash!"

Lenny leapt forth to perform a lightning infused slash with his claws on Thornhead, followed by Tora throwing several icy slashes. "Rock Quaker!" Trunks was the next to initiate his attack, sending Thornhead flying along with the two barrels behind her.

Johnny then leapt forward, and pounded the ground as Thornhead narrowly dodged. "It's time to go ape!", Johnny announced as he held his pose.

"You should be careful with shark objects.", Marina stated as she used Johnny to launch herself and knock the watering can from Thornhead's hand. "They CAN cause pain." She then had Johnny grab onto her legs and spin her around. "Shark!"

"Gorilla!", Johnny added.

"Spinning Slash Strike!" Their attack knocked Thornhead back once more.

Thornhead hit a wall, before picking herself up. "I should thorn you about my low tolerance for puns.", she growled. But then her expression turned to panic. "Oh no!"

"Oh yes.", Johnny stated as he stood atop Lenny and Trunks, with Tora and Marina either side of him. They then channeled their energies into a large fist, that they threw at Thornhead. "Primal Punch!" Thornhead absorbed an inrush of energy from the fist, exploding.

Onboard the Arrowhead, Keldor noted this occurrence. "Just as I thought, another worthless plant alien."

"Don't count Thornhead out just yet.", Ignoblia stated.

She then teleported down to the warehouse. "It's time we gave you some extra strength fertiliser." She then placed the gold coin into Thornhead's coin slot, which was on her chest.

As the Rangers were headed home, they stopped as they noticed Thornhead burst out of the warehouse as a giant. "Every rose has its thorns!", she announced.

"Looks like we have to stop her again.", Lenny realised. "I call dibs on the Megazord."

"I guess that requires me to make sure you don't try to take control.", Marina decided.

"Alright then.", Johnny said as the three pulled their Morphers out again. "Trunks, Tora, you two evacuate civilians."

"On it.", the two said as they took out their own Morphers.

"It's Morphin' Time!" Everyone dialled their number and then closed the phone segment. "Primal Spirits, Awaken!" They then completed the logo, with everyone transforming.

"Primal Change: Gorilla!" Johnny then shifted forms, before joining Marina and Lenny. "Cubezords, enlarge!"

The Gorilla, Shark and Lion a Zords appeared, combining into one. "Jungle Megazord, Beast Formation! Ready!"

The Jungle Megazord then engaged Thornhead, locking its blaster with her watering can, with the monster being the first to knock her foe back. "That's our chance.", Johnny said as he pointed and fired the blaster at Thornhead, buffeting her.

"It's time I showed you what real flower power can do.", Thornhead stated as she began pouring her watering can, causing a large flower pot to appear. When the Megazord tried launching its fists at her, only for the flower pot to grow bigger and protect her.

"We need something that can break through solid pottery.", Lenny noted.

"Like the Mole Zord!", Marina realised. Sure enough, the Mole Zord's cube materialised in her hand. "Johnny, let's do this."

"Alright.", Johnny said, as he took the cube and threw it. "Mole Zord, enlarge!"

The Mole Zord enlarged and transformed, becoming a firearm that landed in the Jungle Megazord's arm. "Mole Drill Blaster, ready!"

"What?", Thornhead asked.

"It's time we weed this alien.", Johnny stated as he inserted his Morpher into the control weapon, before pointing it.

"Mole Drill Burst!" At the command of the three Rangers, the Megazord spun around several times, before zooming forward with the force generated to break the pot and strike at Thornhead.

"I've been uprooted!", Thornhead fired as she fell down and died, her body immolating.

"Top of the food chain!", Johnny stated, as the other two joined him in celebrating.

On the ground, Tora and Trunks finished getting some factory workers out of the area. "That's the last of them.", the former noted.

"Good.", Trunks nodded at her. "Because it seems we're done for now."

"Cool.", Tora said as she began applauding their victory.

Upon the Arrowhead, Ignoblia was bowing before the unconscious figure of Archris in his stasis cell. "M Lord, please forgive me. But in your absence, I've had to take over with trying to defeat the Rangers. And I haven't been having any luck. If a part of you can still tell me what to do, then please do so." She banged on the glass of the pod. "I'm begging you. Give me some help!"

This seemed to cause Archris to briefly stir. "De-Dest-Destruct-." But then he returned to unconsciousness.

But Ignoblia was able to discern for herself what he meant. "Of course, the Destructoid. Why didn't I think of that? Perhaps now, we'll be able to turn the tide in this war."

Back at the zoo, everyone was slightly depressed after their experiences in the dream world. "I can't believe we got suckered in by that monster.", Trunks sighed. "I should've seen through the fantasy."

"I mean, all of us wanted to go back to Cubalia and see our families, even if only for a day.", Marina pointed out. "I probably wanted it more than anyone else."

"It's been so long since we've spoken to any of them.", Tora added.

It was then that Grandma Rose spoke up. "I've been waiting for a moment like this to tell you, but before Caesar left, he gave me these." She presented a series of 4 letters. "He went around to your families and asked them to write a letter in case you'd been demotivated during your time here. Since you hadn't, he decided to keep them behind here." She then handed the four out to the Animen. "But given your current states, I think now's the best time to hand them out."

Trunsk was the first to open his. "It's from my father.", he realised. "He says that he's sorry for the way things got between us, and he wants to tell me that he's proud of what I've accomplished."

"My mom says that she's thinking of me, even if we can't see each other.", Tora blurted out with excitement.

"What about you, Marina?", Lenny asked. "What does yours say?"

Marina took a moment to read her letter, with her frown quickly turning into a smile. "My father says that my mother's sad I'm going to be away from home for longer than we all thought. But the eldest of my brothers and sisters thinks it's cool that I get to be a superhero in another world." She then held up the back of the letter showing a crude drawing of her Animan form as a superhero, fighting a horse in a bandit mask with the words "Bud gi" written on his chest. "He even sent me this picture so show his support. He also says that he's proud of what I'm achieving and he's looking forward to seeing me once I get back."

"So, are you all feeling better?", Grandma Rose asked.

"We are.", Marina spoke up. "Thank you, for giving us this chance."

"Yeah.", Johnny said bitterly as he observed this, knowing that for him, there was still little hope of a reunion with his own family.
