After having the video transmission from Sendak, the two Alteans, the paladins, and the three Lion all got worried that they are coming soon, till Shiro starts calming down and look serious.
"All right, let's not panic." Said Shiro looking at his team.
"Not panic. . . The scary purple alien thing is driving his battleship toward us." Said Hunk looking scared. "We only have four Lions."
"Technically, only three working Lions." Said Pidge correcting Hunk.
"That's right, thank you Pidge. Three working Lions and a Castle that's, like, 10,000 years old." Said Hunk still looking nervous.
"Actually, it's 10,600 years old." Said Coran cutting Hunk off. "You see, it was built by my grandfather. . ."
"Thanks, Coran." Said Hunk placing his finger on Coran's mouth. "Thank you for that, now is the perfect time to panic!"
"Wait, this Castle has a particle barrier we can activate." Said Allura remembering about the castles defense.
"Would it actually hold?" Asked Lana looking scared.
"She right, the particle barrier won't hold Sendak's ion cannon forever. The Galra technology must have advanced since we fought them last." Said Coran looking up at the Galra's weapons system.
"Panic now?" Asked Hunk getting more nervous.
"No, we've just got to figure out our plan of action, and. . . Figure it out quickly." Said Shiro trying to come up with a plan.
"I say we pop through a Wormhole and live to fight another day." Said Lana suggesting an idea.
"I second that. We can't be able to form Voltron with only three lions, maybe we can form a worm, or a snake with the Lions and go through the wormhole!" Said Hunk thinking about the idea.
"We can't just abandon Arus, the Galra will keep destroying planets and capturing prisoners until we stop them!" Said Pidge states his opinion.
"Okay, if we run, the Galra could follow us like what happened when we left Earth, once we lure them away, we form the worm-snake-thing and get out of there!" Said Hunk continuing.
"Sendak could destroy the planet and chase after us anyway." Said Keith agreeing with Pidge. "Staying is our only option."
"Oh great, and we can all die here before doing anything useful." Said Lana glaring at Keith. "We can't stay here, we only have three lions and we are not ready to take out the Galra!"
"You're just saying that so we can run away like cowards!" Said Keith glaring back at Lana.
Lana slapped Keith across his face causing everyone froze in shock from the sound of the slap. Keith was stunned as he saw the red mark on his cheek, and looks at Lana who seems angry at him.
"I'm not being a coward, you selfish idiot, Blue here almost got damage from those small Galra ships when we tried to get the Yellow Lion, Sendak's ship is huge and he'll capture Blue, Yellow, and Green, so we are leaving!" Said Lana glaring angrily at Keith.
"We're staying!" Shouted Keith glaring back at Lana.
"Leaving!" Shouted Lana.
"Staying!" Yelled Pidge jumping in.
"Snake!" Yelled Hunk jumping in as well.
"Enough! We're all a team here, so everyone should weigh in on this." Said Shiro getting between the team and look at Allura. "Princess Allura, these are your Lions. You've dealt with the Galra Empire before. You know what we're facing better than any of us. What do you think is the best course of action?"
"I. . . I don't know." Said Allura looking unsure.
"Perhaps your father can help." Said Coran looking at Allura.
"My father?" Asked Allura in confusion.
So Coran led Allura deep into the ship, while the Paladins and the three Lions stay at the Bridge. Then Coran lead Allura into a wide room with a very small dais in the centre, meaning that it's the Castle's Memory Chamber.
"Coran, what is this?" Asked Allura entering the room.
"King Alfor knew there was a chance he might never see you again. So, his memories, his very being, were stored in this computer for you." Said Coran explaining to Allura.
Allura approaches the computer and a burst of light changes the Chamber to a vision of Altea. A holographic image of King Alfor appears from the computer.
"Father!" Said Allura as tears appear in her eyes and goes closer to the holographic image of King Alfor. "Father, it is so good to see you."
"Allura, my only child, how I've missed your face." Said Alfor's hologram looking at Allura and Allura looked worried.
"I'm so frightened. A Galra ship is set to attack, and I don't know what to do. Please, Father, I need your help." Said Allura pleading for her father's help.
"I would do anything to take this burden from you." Said Alfor looking at Allura.
"I don't know if we should run to preserve what we have or stay and risk everything. I want to fight, but the Paladins of old are gone. I know what you would do." Said Allura looking at her father's hologram.
"I scattered the Lions of Voltron to keep them out of Zarkon's hands. You urged me to keep them and fight, but, for the greater good of protecting the universe, I chose to hide them." Said Alfor recounting what he did.
"I think I understand." Said Allura looking at the floor.
"No, daughter, you were right. I made a terrible mistake, one that cost the universe countless lives. Forming Voltron is the only way to stop Zarkon. You must be willing to sacrifice everything to assemble the Lions and correct my error." Said Alfor encouraging Allura.
Allura then realize that her father is right, and she realize what to do, and so she left the Memory Chamber and figured out what to do.
Meanwhile the others were waiting for Allura, while the three Lions are with them. Keith was off the side, while touching his cheek where Lana slapped, and starts feeling something that's not anger but doesn't know what it is. Then Allura returns to the Paladins in the Command Room, wearing a white space suit.
"You five Paladins were brought here for a reason. The Voltron Lions are meant to be piloted by you and you alone. We must fight and keep fighting until we defeat Zarkon. It is our destiny. Voltron is the universe's only hope. We are the universe's only hope." Said Allura in a authority voice.
"We're with you, Princess." Said Shiro as he and the others smile at her feeling confident.
So Allura and Coran began to lead Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk to another room to get them ready to retrieve the Red Lion from Sendak's ship, and the Blue, Yellow, and Green Lions all follow them as well.
So Allura and Coran led Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, Hunk, and the lions through the Castle, to a room where the Paladin armor sat in cases, on display for them.
"Your suits of armor." Said Allura and everyone got hyped.
"Cool!" Said Lana smiling at her armor.
"Outstanding." Said Shiro in awed.
"Nice." Said Keith smirking at his suit.
"Oh, neat!" Said Pidge smiling at his suit.
Everyone were all admiring the armor. Hunk frowned as he looked at his, as he starts comparing his body with that of his suit, doubting he will fit.
"Princess, are you sure about this, they aren't exactly the best and brightest the universe has to offer." Said Coran looking at Allura as he twirls his mustache.
"No, but they're all we've got." Said Allura feeling confident.
"Boys, it's time to suit up!" Said Shiro smiling at his team.
"Not a boy here Shiro!" Said Lana correcting him.
"Oh right, sorry." Said Shiro blushing.
So Shiro, Keith, Lana, Pidge, and Hunk have all started to change into their armors with their specific colors, and surprisingly they fit them, especially Hunk. Then Allura touches the table top and the blue overtop disappeared, revealing four Bayard's with the matching colors like the lions and armors.
"The Bayard is the traditional weapon of the Paladins of Voltron. It takes a distinct shape for each Paladin." Said Allura as the bayards float to the paladins.
Then the four bayards began transforming into their distinct weapons. Hunk's bayard turn into a yellow large energy cannon, Keith's bayard turn into a red sword, Lana's bayard turn into a blue blasters, and Pidge's bayard turn into an small grappling hook with a knife head.
"Wow, that's a nice weapon." Said Lana smiling at Pidge. "But it's kinda small."
Pidge smirks as he strikes Keith with his Bayard and he is electrocuted and fall to the ground with a groan.
"Hey, what was that for?!" Shouted Keith glaring at Pidge.
"Okay, I stand corrected, it is a pretty cool." Said Lana smiling at Pidge.
"Yeah, it is pretty cool." Said Pidge smirking as he and Lana high-five each other.
'Uh Green, your Paladin does realize we need all five Paladins to form Voltron.' Said Blue looking at Green.
'I know, but you had to admit, that is kinda funny.' Said Green giggling a bit.
'Okay, it is pretty funny.' Said Blue giggling as well.
'Sometimes I just don't understand you girls.' Said Yellow rolling his eyes at them.
"Shiro, I'm afraid your Bayard was lost with its Paladin." Said Allura looking at Shiro and the Lions look at her knowing that she's hiding something, but let it go.
"I guess I'll just have to make do." Said Shiro smiling at Allura.
Then after they got their armor on and have gotten their bayards, they all back to the bridge, the other Paladins and Coran were looking at a hologram of the ship, as well as a hologram of the Red Lion and Allura began to explain.
"You'll need to retrieve the Red Lion from Sendak's ship." Said Allura telling them the plan.
"That's a pretty big ship. How are we gonna know where the Red Lion is?" Asked Keith looking at the ship.
"Oh, it's not a matter of 'we,' a matter of 'you,' you have to find the Red Lion." Said Pidge explains to Keith as Green Lion stands next to her.
"Pidge is right, once we get you in, you'll be able to feel its presence and track it down." Said Hunk looking at Keith and pets the Yellow Lion.
"Yeah, it was like back in the desert, when I felt a strong connection with the Blue Lion and we found her." Said Lana petting Blue's head.
"Keith, remember, the Red Lion is extremely temperamental, you'll have to earn its respect." Said Allura looking at Keith.
'Allura has a point on that, Red is known to be very temperamental and not easy to bond, but judging by his new Paladin, I'm sure it'll be fine.' Said Blue looking at Lana and she smile at her.
"All right. Here's our plan of attack, the Galra Empire knows about the Blue and Yellow Lion, but they don't know we have the Green Lion, too. Hunk, Lance, you'll act as a decoy by pretending to give yourselves up." Said Shiro explaining the plan." While Sendak is distracted, Keith, Pidge, and I will sneak onto the ship in the Green Lion. Keith and I will find the Red Lion while Pidge guard our exit. Hunk, Lance, find some way to take down that ion cannon."
So they all went to the Lions hangers and go to Sendak's ship. Lana and Hunk approach the Galra warship with the Blue Lion and Yellow Lion, while Pidge flies to the underside of the warship with the Green Lion undetected. Then Lana sends Sendak a transmission.
"Attention, Galra ship. Do not fire. We're surrendering our Lions." Said Lana ending the transmission. "Hope this works."
Pidge docks the Green Lion undereneath the warship, and then cuts a hole into the warship's hull. Shiro, Keith, and Pidge's infiltrate inside. The Paladins communicate through their helmets.
"Pidge, what's your ETA?" Ask Lana thru thru her helmet.
"We're in." Said Pidge making their way down the hallway.
"Activate tractor beam." Said Sendak as the Galra warship unleashes a bright light.
"What's that thing?" Asked Hunk seeing the tractor beam.
"I think that's our signal to get out of here!" Shouted Lana as she and Hunk pilot their Lions to flee from the tractor beam as it shot a bright light.
"They lied to us, launch fighters!" Shouted Sendak as the Galra fighter jets deply from the warship.
"Hunk, you dismantle the ion cannon while I take these jerks on a space ride!" Said Lana to Hunk as they fly the Lions.
"Ten-four!" Said Hunk as they both tried to get away from the Galra Fighters.
Meanwhile inside the Galra warship, Shiro, Pidge, and Keith make their way through the ship, until they have all enter a hallway. As they walk through the corridor, Shiro stop and look around, as if has seen this before, then Shiro began to have flashbacks of the Galra as he gasp in shock and realized something.
"I've been here before, after I was taken by the Galra cruiser off Kerberos, they brought us here." Said Shiro remembering some parts of his memory.
"So, that means your other crewmembers, they might be held captive here." Said Pidge as his eyes widen. "We. . . We've got to rescue them."
"Pidge, we don't have time, we have to get the Red Lion and get back to Arus." Said Shiro looking at Pidge.
"But we can't just leave prisoners here!" Said Pidge arguing with Shiro.
"Look, no one understands that more than me, but, in war, we have to make hard choices, now let's get moving." Said Shiro as he and Keith were about to go find the Red Lion.
"No!" Shouted Pidge causing Shiro and Keith to stay still. "Commander Holt is my father, he and my brother were the ones on the Kerberos Mission with you."
"Commander Holt is your father?" Asked Shiro in shock while Keith is shock.
"Yes, I've been searching everywhere for him and my brother. And I'm not going to give up looking when I'm this close, I won't!" Said Pidge turning and was about to find the prison cell.
"I'm coming with you." Said Shiro and Pidge turn to see Shiro.
"What?" Asked Keith in shock.
"I remember where the prisoners are held." Said Shiro turning to look at Keith. "Keith, you go find the Red Lion."
"By myself?" Asked Keith looking at Shiro with a shock look.
"Minor change of plans. You'll be fine. Just remember, patience yields focus." Said Shiro hearing a door near open. "So. . . Run!"
So the three Paladins have all part ways, Shiro went with Pidge to free the prisons. While Keith goes alone to find the Red Lion, he runs along a corridor and stops at an intersecting corridor.
"Great. Now, which way?" Asked Keith staring at a Galra Emblem until footsteps from sentries start approaching, and then runs.
Meanwhile out in space, Lana was trying to fight the Galra Fighters, while Hunk tries slamming into the warship's ion cannon, but when he tried to, it seem to be that it is blocked by a force field.
"What the Quiznak?" Said Hunk seeing the force field. "What is that? A force field?"
'Of course the Galra will make sure that we won't destroy it, we need to figure out how to get through that force field.' Said Yellow trying to figure out how to break the force field.
Meanwhile on the planet Arus, Allura was trying to activate the Castleship's particle barrier, so that the castle will be protected.
"Particle barrier up!" Said Allura activating the particle barrier but fails.
"Is that what's supposed to happen?" Asked Coran as he and Allura look inside the Castleship's systems through a small hole. "All the barrier crystals are out of alignment!"
"We have to fix it immediately, without the particle barrier, we'll be defenseless." Said Allura looking at Coran.
"We're both too big, what can we do?" Asked Coran and the four Altean Mice run inside the small hole.
"The mice!" Said Allura as she and Coran saw the mice fixing the crystals.
"How do they know how to do this?" Asked Coran looking confused.
"I can hear them talking to me, I think our minds are connected, it must be from sharing the sleep pod for 10,000 years." Said Allura figuring out how she can understand the mice.
Then as the three Altean Mice try to put the crystals back in alignment, the big one jumps towards it back into its alignment and they hop up to the console and squeak happily for accomplishment.
"Thank you, friends." Said Allura and Coran put his fingers on his head and makes weird noise as he look at the mice and was sweating. "Coran, what are you doing?"
"I'm trying to get them to make me a sandwich." Said Coran trying to communicate with the mice.
Meanwhile back at Sendak's Galra ship, Keith was running through the hallway trying to figure out where the Red Lion is, but apparently all the hallways look the same and he doesn't know where he is going, and he ends up at the same Galra emblem as he was before.
"Ugh, you've got to be kidding me!" Said Keith getting annoyed, until he remembered what Dhiro told him. "Patience... yields focus..."
Then as Keith calms himself, he starts to focuses inwardly and tried to feel the bond with the Red Lion like how Lana, Hunk, and Pidge did with their lions, and he gave finally senses the Red Lion from somewhere in the other side of the hallway.
"Gotcha!" Said Keith smirk as he runs off to claim the Red Lion.
Meanwhile at the other side of the hallway, Shiro and Pidge were heading to the prisons cell until they come across a Galra drone and was about to activate an alarm to alert the Galra, until Pidge fires a beam from the armor before it can react.
"That thing saw us, we should get out of here." Said Shiro as he was about to leave.
"Wait, I think this might come in handy." Said Pidge beginning to reconfigures the drone. "Now, I'll just reset the controls. . . And it's working for us, I'm going to call you "Rover," follow me!"
Then Pidge's drone, who she called Rover, starts to follows Pidge obediently as they and Shiro went back on track to the prison cells. Finally, Shiro leads Pidge to the prisoners' cell, they realize that it has a lock that can only unlock by the Galra and Pidge looks at Rover.
"Open up." Said Pidge as Rover activates the cell door.
"Excellent, Pidge." Said Shiro smiling at Pidge and the door open.
"Dad?" Said Pidge as he and Shiro enter the cell, but only find different types of aliens and they all looked frightened.
"Don't be afraid, we're here to help you escape." Said Shiro calming them.
"It's you. . . It's you, the Champion." Said the grey alien holding a yellow one with one eye. "If anyone can get us out of here, he can."
"What did you call me?" Asked Shiro looking confused.
"We don't have much time." Said Pidge looking at Shiro. "Let's get to the escape pods."
"Right, let's go, come on!" Said Shiro instructing the aliens and they all follow Pidge and Shiro.
Meanwhile outside in space, Lana is dodging the Galra fighter jets while Hunk struggles to take down the icon cannon's force field, but it was proven to be more difficult than it looks.
"I'll be honest, this is really awesome, but we really need to work fast!" Said Lana looking at Hunk. "Hunk, did you get through the force field?"
"Not yet, apparently it's getting more difficult than it looks!" Said Hunk trying to break through the force field.
'Yellow, please hurry, I don't know how long me and Lana can fight off these Galra fighters.' Said Blue getting exhausted.
'Me and Hunk are trying are best here Blue.' Said Yellow trying to break the force field. 'But it's not as simple as it look and the Galra really advanced with their technology.'
Meanwhile inside Sendak's ship, Keith have finally mange to find the Red Lion, after going through circles around the ship. As he enter the room he saw the Red Lion that has a Red transparent hexagon pattern shaped-dome force field surrounding it, and Keith smirks as he approached it.
"Bingo, let's get out of here, open up." Said Keith as he places his hand on the Lion's force field and nothing happens. "It's me. . . Keith. . . Your buddy. . . It's me! KEITH. . . I. . . AM. . . YOUR. . . PALADIN!"
But apparently nothing seem to happen as Keith can't seem to hear the lions voice, then Keith behind banging on the force field, but apparently it seem to alert some Galra sentries, as they appear and starts firing laser guns, and Keith blocks them with his armor's shield.
"I'm bonding with you. . . Hey. . . Come on. . . We're connected!" Shouted Keith but the Red Lion didn't react, and summons his Bayard as a sword and fights the sentries. "You're not getting this lion!"
But Keith knocked back by laser fire. Then Keith start to activate the bottom half of his helmet as he activates the airlock doors from to console to send the sentries into space, but apparently it sucked him out as well. So he glance around for any help, until the Red Lion comes to his rescue and catches him in its mouth, accepting him as its Paladin, and Keith finds himself on the floor.
Then he look up to see a male Lion, in its physical form like the other Lions, he has bright red fur with red mane cover with stardust and white paws, black tipped ears and tail, a white underbelly, and has bright yellow sclerae with bright ruby eyes.
"Thanks. . ." Said Keith as the Red Lion approached him.
Then Keith remembered what Lance did with he bonded with the Blue Lion, so he place his head on the lioness head, and the two of them start to glow in a bright red light. After that, the Red Lion leads Keith to the cockpit and Keith took a seat.
"Good kitty. Let's roll." Said Keith smirking at his lion.
'I'll admit, that was pretty daring of what you did my Paladin.' Said the Red Lion looking at Keith. 'But let's not do that again next time.'
Keith blush a bit with embarrassment as the Red Lion began to connect his quintessence and spirit in his mechanical body and Keith start driving the Red Lion away from Sendak's ship.
Meanwhile back with Shiro and Pidge, they have bring the prisoners to the escape pods.
"Hurry!" Said Pidge until they were founded by a bunch of sentries.
"Halt!" Shout a Galra Sentry as they all aim their guns at them.
As the sentries suround them, Pidge and Shiro were about to fight them off so the prisoners could escape, until Shiro's prosthetic arm started to glow as it give him a painful sensation, causing him to fall onto his knees.
"Shiro. . . Shiro, what's wrong?!" Asked Pidge as he look concerned.
Then Shiro have began to settle down, and as he the pain has gone away, he starts to attack the sentries at high speed with impressive strenth and his glowing arm, which have destroy all the sentries, and the prisoners leave in the escape pod as it launch into space.
"Thank you, Shiro." Said the grey alien.
"Wait. . . How do you. . ." Asked Shiro until the aliens were all gone.
"Shiro, that was amazing, where did you learn to fight with that?" Asked Pidge as he got impressed.
"I have no idea." Said Shiro as he have no idea.
Meanwhile in space, Hunk uses the Yellow Lion's mouth cannon on the force field to try to break it through so he could destroy the cannon.
"Come on, just break, you stupid thing!" Shout Hunk as the force field finally breaks. "Score one for Hunk!"
'Hey, don't forget about me.' Said Yellow frowning at Hunk.
"Oh yeah, of course you did great Yellow and you get a point as well." Said Hunk smiling at his lion. "Now let's destroy that cannon."
Then Hunk began to slam the Yellow Lion into the ion cannon, causing to disfiguring it. And then the Red Lion, Blue Lion, and Green Lion appear.
"You guys made it!" Said Hunk smiling at Keith.
"Kitty Rose has left the stage!" Said Pidge as he and Shiro smile.
'Red!' Said Green and Yellow happily to see the Red Lion again.
'It's good to see you again, Red.' Said Blue smiling at Red.
'Heh, it's good to be out of that Galra warship!' Said Red smirking at the lions.
"Let's get the heck out of here and back to the castle!" Said Lana looking back at the Galra ship.
"I hope I stopped that cannon, me and yellow could barely make a dent in it!" Said Hunk as they all went back to the castle.
They all arrived back at the Castle of Lions, they all land in the hangar where the Black Lion is currently behind a large door. As they exit out of the lions, Shiro and the others stand in front of the large door. One by one, the lions eyes began to glow bright and the door began to open revealing the Black Lion.
The four lions began to roar as they have all began to take into their physical forms, then the Black Lion glow in a bright dark indigo light, then the light flows from the metal to the ground and goes in front of Shiro, the dark indigo glow began to materialize as the black light shines so bright.
Then standing in front of Shiro is a male Lion, in his physical form like the other lions but a bit bigger, he has black fur with a black mane cover with stardust and white paws, black tipped ears and tail, a white underbelly, and bright yellow sclerae with bright black indigo eyes. He also happens to has large black wings on its back.
Shiro leans forward to the Black Lion and he lay his hand on the lions head, and just like the others, the two began to glow in a dark violet light and they have form a bond.
"It's nice to meet you Black." Said Shiro smiling at Black.
'I'm glad to have finally meet you my new Paladin.' Said the Black Lion looking at Shiro. 'I see that you have suffered a great deal when you were with the Galra, but I see that you have potential of a great leader to lead people to the right path.'
'Black!' Said the Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow Lions gather around the Black.
'My pride, my family, it's great to be reunited again!' Said Black spreading his wings around the four lions into a hug.
The Paladins smile at the lions, knowing that they're happy to be reunited again. Then suddenly the castles alarm started blaring, meaning that something is coming.
"Paladins, Sendak is entering the Arusian atmosphere, we need Voltron now!" Said Allura over the comm.
"Alright team, let's go!" Said Shiro to the others as they all start to go to their lions.
Then the lions have return to their metal bodies and then they all fly out of the hanger and land in front of the castle, just inside the particle barrier as it was being attack by Sendak and the other Galra Fighters, and then a bigger blast shook the structure causing everything to shake a bit.
"Man, those Galra guys repair things fast." Said Hunk noticing that the cannon is fixed.
"The barrier gets weaker with every blast. Once that shield goes down, the Castle will be defenseless." Said Coran from the comm.
"I can give you cover with the Castle defenses for a while, but you have to form Voltron now or we'll all be destroyed!" Said Allura over the comm.
"Jeez, no pressure." Said Hunk as a second blast from the ion cannon hits, weakening the barrier.
"Listen up, Team Voltron! The only way to succeed is to give it all you've got! This looks bad, but we can do this! Are you with me?" Asked Shiro and the others all nod silently.
"I'm nodding, is everyone else nodding?" Asked Hunk.
"Yes." Said the others annoyed.
"Let's do this!" Said Shiro as the Lions run forward and exit the barrier under heavy fire from Galra fighter jets.
"Uh, one question, how are we going to do this?" Asked Lana looking confused while avoiding the blasts.
"Good question, does anyone have any ideas of how to form Voltron?" Asked Shiro to the others.
"I don't see a "Combine Into Giant Robot" button anywhere on my dashboard." Said Hunk looking at the controls.
"Hey Blue, do you have any ideas how to do Voltron?" Asked Lana to her Lion.
'I'm afraid I don't, it has been 10,000 years since we have form Voltron, so I don't remember.' Said the Blue Lion to Lana.
'Yeah, but weren't we stick together, I mean that could actually help us form Voltron.' Said the Yellow Lion to Blue and the Galra fighter jets bombard them with attacks.
"This is insane, can't they just cease fire for one minute so we can figure this out, is that too much to ask?" Asked Pidge getting annoyed at the situation.
'The Galra only cares about victory or death, so I'm pretty sure they don't show any mercy, and don't care!' Said Green attacking one of fighter jets and sending it to another fighter jet destroying it.
"We've got to do something." Said Keith stopping and look at the Galra Fighters.
'But what should we do?' Asked Red looking at the Galra Fighters attacking them.
"Combine!" Shouted Hunk slamming the Yellow Lion into the Red Lion only to knocking him over.
"Hey!" Shouted Keith angrily causing Lana and the Blue Lion chuckle softly.
'YELLOW, what the hell is that for?!' Growled Red at Yellow.
"Okay, that didn't work." Said Hunk in embarrassment.
'Sorry Red, we thought that it might work.' Said Yellow in embarrassment.
"Quickly, Paladins! Our energy levels are getting low!" Said Allura grunting from another impact on the castle.
"Maybe if we fly in formation, we'll just combine." Said Shiro suggesting the idea.
'That could work, we did that many time before our previous Paladins, so we should do this.' Said Black agreeing with Shiro.
"Alright, take off on my cue." Said Shiro as they all start to run to the edge." One, two, three, Voltron!"
Then they all launch into the air and thought they could form Voltron, but somehow they couldn't be able to form Voltron.
"Here we go!" Shout Keith flying Red.
"Come on, come on!" Said Lana trying to form Voltron with Blue.
"Nothing's happening." Said Shiro realizing nothing is working.
'What do we do now?' Asked Black sounding concerned about the situation.
"Hey, w-wait, wait, wait, I feel something!" Said Lana feeling something.
'Me too, I feel something as well.' Said Blue feeling that same sensation.
"I do, too, I feel it, it's like we're all being pulled in the same direction!" Said Hunk feeling the similar thing.
'Yeah, but wait a minute, this isn't how we form Voltron before.' Said Yellow feeling something is wrong.
"Uh, guys, I think I know why. Look up." Said Shiro and they saw that the Lions are caught in the Galra warship's tractor beam and are unable to escape.
"What the cheese?" Asked Lana in shock.
"Sendak's ship is sucking us in like a black hole!" Yelled Pidge in horror.
'We're going to be captured by the Galra!' Shouted Green in panic.
'No, I didn't break free and come this far to be capture by the Galra again!' Growled Red in anger.
All the lions struggled to get out of the tractor beam, but since the Galra technology advanced for 10,000 years, it was proven to be very difficult, making them very defenseless. The warship blasts the Castle of Lions particle barrier, destroying it.
"Oh, no!" Said Shiro the the particular barrier gone.
"I don't care what you say, Shiro, I'm panicking now!" Said Hunk panicking.
'I'm panicking as well!' Shouted Yellow in fear.
"It can't end here!" Shout Pidge in fear.
'What are we going to do?!' Shouted Green still struggling to get free.
"We are finished!" Shouted Lana panicking.
'We'll be imprisoned by the Galra!' Shouted Blue in fear.
"It's been an honor flying with you guys." Said Keith looking hopeless.
'I can't believe I'll be capture by the Galra again!' Shouted Red in anger.
"No, we can do this, we have to believe in ourselves, we can't give up, we are the universe's only hope, everyone is relying on us, we can't fail, we won't fail, of we work together, we'll win together!" Said Shiro like a true leader.
"Yeah!" Shout everyone in agreement.
'Shiro is right, my pride, for 10,000 years when I slept, the Galra has already made the whole universe suffer under Zarkon's reign, but now that we are reunited, we are the universe's only hope!' Said Black to the the other lions. 'It's time that we must defeat the Galra, are you with me lions?'
'Yes!' Said the other Lions roaring and began to feel something as they all glow brightly.
Then as the Galra Ship was about to fire another blast from the ion cannon that's aiming to the castle, but before they could do it, something have turn the cannon to the other way, that missed the castle. Allura, Coran, and the Galra all look and gasp in shock, because standing before them is none other than the legendary defender himself, Voltron!
"I can't believe it!" Said Keith in shock.
"We formed Voltron!" Said Pidge smiling.
"I'm a leg!" Said Hunk smiling.
"How are we doing this?" Asked Lana smiling.
"I don't know, but let's get that cannon!" Said Shiro instructing his team.
So they all proceed to take apart the ion cannon, as they have blasted the ship, causing Sendak and Haxus to evacuate the ship. The the Galra cruiser have fall from the sky, crashing into the planet and it officially end. Voltron stands on the surface victorious, then they separated back into their lions and fly back to the castle, where Allura and Coran waited for them.
Then the five Paladins have exited out of their lions as they took off their helmets, then the lions have taken into their physical forms as they all walk up to their Paladins and smile at each other.
"Good work, Paladins!" Said Allura smiling at the paladins.
"Thanks you Allura." Said Lana smiling at Allura.
'I knew that we have chosen the right decision, I'm glad that I met you.' Said Blue rubbing her head against Lana and she pets her head gently.
"We did it." Said Shiro smiling at Keith.
"Heck yeah, we did." Said Keith smiling at Shiro.
'I knew we could do it.' Said Black looking at Red.
'It may have been 10,000 years, but we still got it.' Said Red smiling at Black.
"How did we do it?" Asked Shiro looking at his team.
"I was just, like, screaming the whole time, maybe that did it." Said Hunk taking off his helmet.
'I don't think that did it, but whatever made us form Voltron, I'm glad we defeated Sendak.' Said Yellow smiling at Hunk.
But Pidge looks sad that he didn't find his father or his brother, Green saw her Paladin upset and cuddle her head on his arm, and Shiro places a hand on Pidge's shoulder.
"We're not going to stop searching until we find your brother and father. Wherever they are, I know they'd be proud of you." Said Shiro smiling at Pidge.
'He's right Pidge, your family is still out there, and we won't stop until we find them.' Said Green smiling and Pidge smiles at Shiro and Green.
"We won the battle, but the war has only just begun, I'm afraid Zarkon will not stop until he gets these Lions." Said Allura looking at the Paladins with a serious look.
"Good thing you Paladins know what you're doing, because you're going to have to form Voltron again and again." Said Coran smiling at the Paladin
"Totally. . . Wait, what?" Said Hunk looking at the Altean's.
"We barely survived forming Voltron this one time." Said Lance looking at Allura and Coran.
"And you only had to fight one ship. Wait until you have to fight a whole fleet of them! It's not going to be easy being the Defenders of the Universe." Said Coran and the Paladins all look surprised at the title and look at their Lions.
"Defenders of the Universe, huh? That's got a nice ring to it." Said Shiro smiling at the lions.
The others smile at the lions, they all soon realize that they are ready for the big adventure of the lifetime as they will try to free the universe from Zarkon and the empire.
