Chapter 2-Introductions.

The boy awoke to find himself in a dark cave on a medical bed.

"Where am I?" he asked.

"You're in the Batcave." said Batman, spooking him.

"Batcave?" the boy asked.

"It serves as our base of operations." said Robin.

The boy looked around before he realized something, "Wait, where's Pikachu?!"

"Right here." Batgirl said as she walked over, carrying the little critter.

"Pikapi!" Pikachu said as it hopped onto the boy's shoulder.

"Allow us to introduce ourselves. I'm Batgirl. This is Robin, and the grouch is Batman." Batgirl said.

"I'm Ash Ketchum, a Pokemon Trainer aiming to be a Pokemon Master from Pallet Town." the boy said.

"So, Ash, what brings you to Gotham City?" Batgirl asked.

"I came here because I got curious about what I heard of a giant batlike creature in Gotham City. I thought it might be some kind of new Pokemon, but I didn't expect it to be a person, least of all a superhero." Ash said.

"You'd be surprised how many people don't think Batman is real." Batgirl said.

"Well, thanks for treating me and Pikachu, you guys." Ash said as he hopped off the bed, only to feel a painful jolt in his arm.

"Easy on the arm, Ash. You should really thank Batgirl. She protected you from that blast and had you brought back here." Batman said.

Ash looked at Batgirl, "Well, thank you, Batgirl." he said.

"No problem. It's what I do." she said.

"So, Ash, now that you know what the Batman is, will you be leaving Gotham?" Robin asked.

"No, I think I might stay some. I do like to see the sights in a city." Ash said.

"Well, I'll tell you what. Since you helped us stop that robber, why don't you stay with one of our friends?" Batgirl said.

"Okay, but who can I stay with?" Ash asked.

"Well, you have the option of staying with Batman's benefactor, Bruce Wayne." Robin said.

"The richest guy in Gotham? I couldn't barge in on him like that." Ash said.

"I'm sure he wouldn't mind. Bruce is always willing to welcome a guest in." Robin said before Batman pulled him aside.

"You're right on that, Robin, but what if Ash or his Pikachu discover the Batcave by accident when we're off duty?" Batman whispered.

"We can just tell him we let Batman and Robin work underneath Wayne Manor." Robin said.

"Not a bad idea, but he doesn't seem to be as naive as that. Judging by the way he took down that crook, I'd say he has experience with fighting criminals. That shows he's clever." Batman said.

"Well, then, he could stay with Barbara. She won't say anything, and it'll be less suspicious." Robin said. Batman nodded in agreement.

At the same time, Batgirl was talking with Ash.

"Ash, it's not that we don't appreciate your help with that robber, but you could've been hurt. What made you decide to attack him?" she asked.

"Believe it or not, I've had experience with crooks before. See, there are these three crooks called Team Rocket and they're always after Pikachu, so you could say I've had more than enough battles against thieves." Ash said.

Batgirl looked surprised.

"Well, Ash, as it turns out, Mr. Wayne would actually prefer it if you stay with his friend, Barbara Gordon. Being rich, Wayne Manor would be a target and you might encounter a crook more than you could handle." Batman said.

"Makes sense. But, she wouldn't mind having me, would she?" Ash asked.

"Not at all." Batgirl said, "Miss Gordon is good with kids. In fact, she's an aunt to Bruce's adopted son, Tim Drake."

"Well, okay then." Ash said before Batman headed to a round platform.

"I'll take you there personally." Batman said as he showed him the Batmobile.

"Woah. Cool car." Ash said as he and Pikachu climbed in.

"Just remember, this isn't your usual car. So don't touch a thing." Batman said as the hatch shut and they sped off.
