Chapter 3: Meeting Barbara.
Ash was dropped off by Batman at an apartment building and given an address. He found the address easily. He was met there by a woman with red hair.
"Excuse me, miss. Are you Barbara Gordon?" Ash asked.
"That's me, and you must be Ash." Barbara said as she shook his hand.
"Yes, ma'am. I was told by Batgirl that I could stay here while I'm in Gotham. I hope you don't mind." Ash said.
"Not at all. I'm more than happy to have a houseguest." Barbara said as he opened the door and welcomed him in.
"Make yourself at home. Feel free to watch TV or help yourself to a snack if you get hungry." Barbara said.
"Thank you, Barbara." Ash said as Pikachu hopped onto the couch and he sat beside it before taking off his hat.
"I have to go take care of some homework, but please feel free to ask if you need anything." Barbara said.
"Okay." Ash said as he took some candy from a bowl and gave a piece to Pikachu.
Later, the door opened and a man with white hair and a mustache came in.
"What a day." he said before he noticed Ash and Pikachu.
"Well, I didn't know we had guests." he said.
"Hello, sir. I'm Ash Ketchum and this is Pikachu." Ash said.
"Pika." Pikachu said.
At that moment, Barbara came in, "Welcome home, Dad. I see you've met Ash." she said.
"Hello, Barbara. Is this a friend of yours?" her dad asked.
"Yes. We just met a couple of hours ago, but he's visiting Gotham City and he needed a place to stay. So I thought I'd help out, if you're okay with him staying, Dad." Barbara said.
"That's fine, as long as he can keep his Pokemon under control." her dad said.
"Ash, this is my father and commissioner of the Gotham City Police Department, James Gordon." Barbara said as Ash shook her father's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Commissioner." Ash said.
"Just call me Jim." Gordon said.
