Allura is in the Memory Chamber with King Alfor's artificial intelligence and the Altean Mice, as the Chamber is a hologram of Altea. Allura was sitting on the floor while the Altean Mice make her some tea.
"I loved the smell of the mountain juniberries in the early morning breeze." Said Allura sighing happily of the fond memory of Altea.
"As did I, Allura." Said King Alfor's A.I.
"Remember the summer berry festival? People would come from all over Altea for the harvest." Said Allura smiling at the hologram.
"I remember how the berry juice stained your favorite dress. You were so upset." Said King Alfor's A.I. and Allura laughs.
"It took forever for Mother to calm me." Said Allura smiles till she frowns in sadness. "I miss Altea so much. I miss you, Father. I wish it didn't have to be this way."
"I know, Allura, but, as leaders, we have to do what's right for our people, even if it means great sacrifice." Said King Alfor's A.I. looking at Allura.
"I know, Father. That's what you always say." Said Allura smiling sadly till Coran enters the Memory Chamber.
"Princess, there you are. What are you doing up and about? You should be resting." Said Coran walking to Allura.
"Oh, Coran, can't I stay?" Asked Allura not wanting to leave the Memory Chamber.
"The Balmera rejuvenation ceremony took a lot out of you. Come along, to your room." Said Coran as he helps Allura stand.
"Get your rest, darling. I will be here for you when you're well." Said King Alfor's A.I.
"I love you, Father. I'll see you soon." Said Allura smiling at her fathers hologram.
Then Coran takes Allura away to her room for her to rest, as the Memory Chamber ends the hologram, King Alfor's hologram display flickers before disappearing.
Meanwhile at the Green Lion's hangar, Pidge is studying the Galra Crystal with her computer, while the Green Lion is laying next to her. After they defeated Sendak and kept him frozen in the cryo-pod, they kept his Galra crystal for research.
"Pidge, please come down to the detainment room." Said Coran speaking over the intercom.
Pidge got frustrated from being interrupted by complies, so she got up from her seat and went to meet the others in the detainment room, with the Green Lion following her, unknown to them, the Galra Crystal glows ominously.
So Pidge meets Coran, the other Paladins, and the other Lions in front of the pod where Sendak is held. Then Coran places devices on Sendak's pod.
"Okay, guys, Sendak's almost all hooked up. But, look, I have to warn you, this technology was used to keep Altean memories alive, not to interrogate prisoners." Said Coran informing the Paladins.
"Coran, we understand this isn't what the technology was meant for, but if we can extract Sendak's memories, we may gain valuable intelligence on Zarkon's troop locations." Said Shiro as he looks at Sendak.
'Yes, the sooner we get the information, the better will figure out how to defeat Zarkon and free the universe from the Galra Empire.' Said Black agreeing with Shiro.
"Fascinating. So, how exactly does this work?" Asked Pidge looking at the device.
"As the memories are extracted, they're written bit by bit on individual molecules of the micro-storage strands." Said Coran explaining and Pidge is amazed.
"Do we really have to do this guys?" Asked Lana looking a bit worried. "I mean, there's gotta be another way to get information about the Galra Empire."
"That may be possible Lana, but Sendak is Zarkon's most loyal commander and second-in-command, so he might have something that will help us how to defeat Zarkon." Said Shiro looking determined.
"I know that, but I still don't like the feeling of Sendak in the castle." Said Lana looking afraid of seeing the Galra.
"What do you mean, Lana, are you saying you want Sendak to roam free in the universe?" Asked Keith giving Lana a look.
"I'm not saying that Keith, I know that Sendak is too dangerous, but after what he did with the bomb and almost got myself killed, I really don't like the fact he's still in the castle." Said Lana shivering in fear.
Blue realized how scared her Paladin is about how Sendak sent that bomb inside the castle and almost killed Lana, that she comforts her by snuggling her head on Lana's hand, and Keith felt bad that he forgot Lana was still scared from the bomb incident.
"Don't worry buddy, Sendak won't hurt you now." Said Hunk placing his hand on Lana's shoulder and Pidge hugs her for comfort.
Lana smile both at her two best friends for their comfort, even how Blue does everything she can to comfort. Keith look how Lana smile at her friends and lion, that he somehow felt his heart beating fast and looks away a bit, and his lion somehow notice it.
"So this is how you incorporated King Alfor's memories into the Castle of Lions?" Said Pidge looking at the device.
"Precisely, but it's never been attempted before on an unwilling participant." Said Coran answering Pidge's question.
Then Coran began to activate the memory storage device, first their was blue light but then nothing appears, which confused the Paladins.
"Uh, is this what's supposed to be happening?" Asked Hunk in confusion.
'I may not be an export on technology, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't supposed to do that.' Said Yellow looking at the device.
"Let's give it some time." Said Shiro to his team.
So the Paladins, the Lions, and Coran all wait for any result from the device, but somehow nothing has happened, as each Paladin began to get bored, but somehow Shiro waited patiently.
"Well, I can't wait around anymore. I'm gonna to hit the training deck." Said Keith leaving with the Red Lion, more time passes and there was still no results.
"Okay, if anyone needs me, I'll be in the lab. Maybe I can pull some information from Sendak's Galra Crystal." Said Pidge leaving with the Green Lion, more time passes and still no results.
"Time to feed the beast. I'm going to go make some breakfast." Said Hunk leaving with the Yellow Lion and Coran stretch his arms.
"Well, I'm afraid I can't wait here any longer, either. I have a million duties to attend to." Said Coran looking at the two remaining Paladins and Lions. "Between that Galra Crystal infecting our system, and then fighting off those ships and performing the Balmeran rejuvenation ceremony, the old Castle of Lions has taken quite a beating. Every system needs to be recharged and repaired."
"I'll stay. Somewhere in Sendak's mind is the information about Zarkon that we need." Said Shiro not keeping his eyes off Sendak, which worried his Lion.
"Okay, well, while you guys do that, I think I'm going somewhere, away from Sendak, he still creeps me out." Said Lana shuddering in fear as she and Blue tried to leave.
"Oh, hold on there. You're going to come and help me." Said Coran stopping Lana from leaving.
"What? Why me?" Asked Lana raising his eyebrows.
"Because you're the last one here." Said Coran looking at Lana.
"Couldn't you just wait till Pidge is done scanning that Galra Crystal, she's good at advance technology." Said Lana looking at Coran. "And to be honest, I'm kinda scared of touching advance technology I don't know of."
"She'll probably be busy with the Galra Crystal and won't have any time, and I need some assistance." Said Coran as he starts leaving.
"Okay, let's go Blue. . . Let us know if anything happens." Said Lana beginning to walk away with Blue, but Shiro didn't reply. "Shiro?"
"You got it." Said Shiro answering to Lana.
So Lana leaves to help Coran, while Shiro remains staring at Sendak in his pod, hoping to get some answer from him.
Meanwhile in the kitchen inside the Castle of Lions, Hunk grabs the food dispenser to get some food goo, while the Yellow Lion was eating some meat Hunk grabbed for him.
"Maybe today, we try a little crème goo-lée." Said Hunk as he click the food dispenser lever.
However the food goo dispenser didn't work. Hunk got confused as he looks inside the tube and continues clicking the lever. However he didn't notice the electric surge in the dispenser, and then food goo explodes on his face.
"Agh, my eye!" Shouted Hunk in pain.
Then suddenly the food goo dispenser starts rapidly shooting goo everywhere in the kitchen, making Hunk and Yellow dodge for cover. Pidge and Green were walking by, as they were heading to the Green Lions hanger, till food fly pass them and they see the chaos.
"What is going on in here?!" Asked Pidge in shock.
"The goo has me pinned down!" Said Hunk who's hiding behind a counter.
'Yellow, how did this happen?' Asked Green in shock.
'I don't know, Hunk was trying to get food, and then this happened!' Said Yellow hiding behind the counter with Hunk.
So Pidge and Green both avoid getting hit by the food goo, as they hide behind the counter with Hunk and Yellow. Realizing they need to do something, Pidge pulls out plates and hands one to Hunk.
"Okay, we're going to have to flank the goo to shut it down." Said Pidge about to stop the food goo.
"Okay, wait. Wait! It's been a pleasure cooking with you." Said Hunk saluting Pidge. "Go!"
So Hunk and Pidge both rush to the goo dispenser from either side using plates as shields, while the Yellow and Green Lion dodge the food goo. Pidge pins the goo dispenser tube down with the Green Lion's help, while Hunk ties the tube in a knot, stopping it and making it overflow.
"Probably a malfunction?" Asked Pidge looking at the food dispenser.
"Yeah, yeah... Guess the kitchen system needs to be rebooted, too." Said Hunk agreeing with Pidge.
Even though they stop the food dispenser, the two Paladins and the Green and Yellow Lion realize that during when the food dispenser was out of control, it shoot out a lot of food goo and made a mess all over the kitchen.
"Leave it for Coran?" Asked Pidge looking at Hunk.
Hunk nodded his head in agreement, as he and Pidge leave the kitchen a mess with the Yellow and Green Lion following them.
Meanwhile at the sleeping chambers, Lana is cleaning the pods with Coran, while the Blue Lion is taking a nap.
"Ugh... Since when did 'you sleep in it, you clean it' become a Voltron rule?" Said Lana groaning a bit as she cleans the pods. "Also, how is it these pods have the ability to heal a human from near death, but don't have the ability to clean themselves?"
"Oh, self-cleaning pods. Now, that's a good one!" Said Coran laughing. "You know, this kind of reminds me of my time as a young cadet. I had just enlisted in the Altean space squad, aeronautics sub-tech nano-weaponry unit, and I was sent off to boot camp. Our sergeant had us cleaning cryo-pods day and night. I got so good at it, I earned my first set of stripes!"
While Coran continues talking about his previous life in Altea, Lana went inside one of the pods to clean it, suddenly the glass part had materialized, trapping Lana in a pod and she screams in surprise. Lana yelled trying to get her Lion and Coran's attention as she knocks on the pod from the inside, but none of them hear her, then the pod began to put Lana into cryofreeze, trapping her in a silent scream before descending into the ground.
"Oh, those were the days. Anyway, you keep up the good work and maybe someday you'll earn some cleaning stripes, too." Said Coran turning to see Lana gone along with the pod and he looks around. "Lana? Lana! Ah, Paladins..."
Meanwhile in the training deck, Keith is fighting the Gladiator robot, while his Lion stand aside from the room, watching his Paladin fight. Then Keith swings his sword at the Gladiator and destroys it.
'Great work, Keith.' Said Red feeling proud for his Paladin.
"Thanks Red, I'm getting really good on those fighting stance." Said Keith wiping the sweat off his forehead. "I'm sure it will help us defeat Zarkon."
'I'm sure that it will, although I never seen you trained this hard.' Said Red looking at Keith.
"Well, the others may think they need to rest, but I know Zarkon won't ever rest, so we have to train hard." Said Keith panting a bit. 'Although to be honest, I was kinda hoping that someone will actually notice.'
'Wow Keith, that's really amazing.' Thought Lana in Keith's head.
Keith blush at the thought of Lana impressed with his sword skills and his heart began thumping softly, imagining at how Lana would somehow be next to him and smile at him. Suddenly Keith starts to blush really red as he snapped the thought out of his head.
'Oh god, what am I thinking, why do I keep imagining Lana in my head. . . Then again, I had a crush on her since the Garrison, but I'm not sure if he likes me back.' Thought Keith as he thinks about the Blue Paladin.
What everyone doesn't know, not even Shiro knows, was that Keith Kogane has a huge crush on Lana McClain, even way before the Kerberos Mission. At first, Keith didn't understand why he starts to develop feelings for Lana since they sometime argue with each other, but after he got kicked out of the Garrison, Lana somehow developed something that made Keith's heartbeat so fast, that he wanted to somehow kiss her and feel her soft lips into his while her arms are wrapped around him.
'Keith, are you okay?' Asked Red looking at his Paladin.
"I'm fine, Red." Said Keith wiping his forehead and looks up at the computer. "Start training level three."
Suddenly a new Gladiator robot dispenses from the ceiling and Keith begins battling it, however the fight started to get too intense for Keith to fight as the Gladiator push him rough.
"End training sequence." Said Keith to the computer.
However the system didn't respond to Keith as the Gladiator robot starts turning rogue as the the blue gem in its forehead turns red, and it rushes Keith.
'Keith, something is wrong, turn off the training sequence, now!' Said Red getting really concerned.
"End training sequence! End training sequence now!" Shouted Keith and still no response.
'KEITH, LOOK OUT!' Shouted Red warning Keith.
Suddenly the Gladiator knock the sword out of Keith's hand and starts attacking. It kicked Keith, and send him flying backwards, and he fell but got up quickly. Obviously Keith had to get out of there, but the Gladiator was standing between him and the door, where the Red Lion is waiting for him.
Seeing that there's no other choice, Keith starts running forward at the same time as the Gladiator, holding its sword out wide. As it got close, Keith dropped down to his knees, sliding and ducking his head back underneath the sword as he grabbed his bayard, hopped back to his feet, and ran outside the training room, along with his Lion. As soon as Keith and the Red Lion were out, Keith shut the doors and locked them, then leaned against it, panting heavily.
"Red, what's going on here?" Asked Keith still panting.
'I don't know, something is really wrong here, this never happened before when my original Paladin train here.' Said Red feeling suspicious.
Just as Keith was trying to figure why the Gladiator is unnecessarily violent, suddenly Keith and Red were startled by a sword piercing through the crack in the two doors, slowly prying them open to reveal the Gladiator's empty face, and they both start to run to get away from the gladiator.
Meanwhile back at the detainment room, Shiro remains unaware of the chaos as he stands before Sendak's pod in the detainment room, with Black standing beside him.
"I know you're in there, Sendak. I know you have all the answers. Give them to me." Said Shiro looking at Sendak, nothing happened and Shiro slams his fist on Sendak's pod. "You're a broken soldier! You can't hold out forever!"
Black became worried for his Paladin, and suddenly the memory finally starts to enter into the storage system, and Shiro smiles.
"So, you can hear me." Said Shiro looking back at Sendak.
'Oh, I have a bad feeling about this.' Said Black softly to himself.
Meanwhile back at the sleep chamber, Coran continues cleaning pods while Blue is still taking her nap. Then as Coran reaches to the pod that Lana had become trapped in, he yells when he sees Lana trapped in the pod, causing Blue to wake up from her nap. Coran releases Lana from the pod, and Lana is stiff with cold, as Blue goes to her Paladin.
'Lana, are you okay?' Asked Blue looking worried for her Paladin.
"Ah, ah. . . This pod just shut on me and locked me in, while you were rambling on about boot camp!" Said Lana glaring at Coran.
"You sure you didn't just trip and fall in? No judgment. It happens. Besides, why would the pod automatically lock and start the cryogenic freezing process?" Asked Coran as Lana puts on her coat for warmth.
"To kill me!" Said Lana waving her arms at Coran.
"Don't get your boots in a bunch. My guess is they're malfunctioning." Said Coran believing the only solution to the source.
"Okay, I'm gonna float this out there. I think this Castle is haunted." Said Lana wrapping her arms around herself to keep warm.
"The ship might seem like a fantastical, magical creature to you, but it's really just a big embodiment of advanced supernatural technology that cannot be explained by science alone." Said Coran making Lana look at him in disbelief.
'Uh, he does realize that he defined the castle as haunted, right?' Asked Blue looking at her Paladin.
"Well, that does make it seem a bit haunted, doesn't it? Ah, but it's not. Trust me, nothing out of the ordinary is happening here." Said Coran as he began leaving the sleeping chamber.
As soon as the Altean Advisor have left the room, Lana began hearing rumbling sound and begins whimpering in fear, as she goes closer to her Lion for protection.
"I'm okay. I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay. . ." Said Lana trying to calm herself down. "Blue, we're going to be okay, right?"
'Yeah, I'm pretty sure that everything is going to be okay.' Said Blue also looking a bit scared.
Suddenly the pod that trapped Lana starts to descend into the floor, startling Lana and her Lion, making them scream in fear, and Lana runs out of the sleep chamber with Blue following her.
Meanwhile in Allura's bedroom, Allura is still asleep in her bed with the Altean Mice next to her on her pillow sleeping as well.
"Allura... Allura?" Said King Alfor's voice as his holographic AI appears, waking Allura from her sleep, and startling the mice. "Allura, dear daughter. . ."
"Father, what are you doing here?" Asked Allura sitting up from her bed.
Meanwhile is the castles hallways, after Lana has left the sleep chamber, she is walking through the halls trying to warm herself with the Blue Lion next to her. Suddenly the lights in front of them begin turning off, which terrified them both.
"Okay, okay. . . Oh. . . Ah!" Said Lana sees a flickering image of King Alfor.
'Okay. . . What was that. . . That kinda looks like a person. . .' Said Blue in fear.
"Coran, is that you? Okay, stop messing with me, guys. This isn't funny." Said Lana feeling scared and then she starts to hear Coran's voice.
"Help! Help!" Shouted Coran from another room.
"Hello? Coran?" Said Lana as she rushes down the dark hall with the Blue Lion following her.
"Help! Somebody!" Said Coran as his voice becomes slightly distorted. "I'm trapped in the airlock."
"I'm coming!" Said Lana as she runs to help 'Coran.'
'Lana, I don't know about this, something is right.' Said Blue feeling suspicious.
"But it sounds like Coran, Blue, we need to help him." Said Lana heading to where Coran's voice is.
So Lana and the Blue Lion both enter the airlock where 'Coran' is supposedly trapped in, and they both see that no one is in. And suddenly the door closes behind them.
'Uh, what's going on?' Asked Blue getting really concerned.
"Okay, ha-ha. Good joke. You guys got me. Nice." Said Lana feeling it was a practical joke when suddenly the alarms start blaring.
"Airlock opening in 30 ticks." Said the computer as it starts counting.
"Okay, joke's over! You got me!" Said Lana as the computer continues counting down and Lana starts banging on the airlock door. "Guys? Guys! Eugh! Help!"
'Lana something is seriously wrong here!' Said Blue scratching the door as Lana continues screaming for help, but no one is around to hear her or Blue.
Meanwhile back at the detainment room, Shiro's is interrogating with Sendak, who is still asleep in his pod, trying to get information of the Galra Empire and how to defeat Zarkon, while the Black Lion decided to take a short nap.
"What was the first rank you held in Zarkon's army?" Asked Shiro but he gets no answer. "Where did you find the Red Lion? What is Zarkon's greatest weakness?"
"What makes you think you can possibly defeat him?" Said Sendak's voice startling Shiro and see's Sendak's mouth not moving and he remains asleep.
"If you were to attack Zarkon, where would you strike?" Asked Shiro trying to get back on track
"Why strike at all when you can join him?" Said Sendak's voice which is getting louder.
Shiro he whipped his head around as he yeied to find the source of the voice, but he was alone with the Black Lion. But as soon as Shiro looks at Sendak's pod, he sees an image of Sendak awake, but the commander is still asleep.
Meanwhile at the Green Lions Hanger, Pidge was getting some plugs onto Sendak's Galra Crystal, while Hunk stands beside it and the Green Lion and Yellow Lion lay on the ground, trying to relax after the whole food goo attack.
"I bet if we can modulate the dynamics of this crystal, we'll be able to reverse engineer a lot of Galra tech. Don't you think, Hunk?" Asked Pidge but Hunk wasn't listening. "Hunk, are you paying attention?"
"What? No, I'm sorry. That whole food goo ambush really set me on edge, Pidge." Said Hunk still shaken up. "If we can't trust food, we are lost as a culture."
"Relax. I'm sure the Castle's just glitchy." Said Pidge hooking up the Galra crystal. "It's 10,000 years old."
"Yeah, it does seem like the ship is not currently trying to kill us." Said Hunk feeling like Pidge might be right.
"Okay, so, all the sensors are on the crystal. Hit the switch." Said Pidge as Hunk was about to do, until suddenly the gravity turn off and the two Paladins and Lion began to float. "Hunk, did you accidentally hit the anti-gravity switch?"
"Uh, no. There's no anti-gravity switch. Uh, is there?" Asked Hunk still floating.
'I really don't think Green's hanger has a antigravity switch.' Said Yellow turning to the Green Lion. 'Do you, Green?'
'No I don't, I don't know how the gravity got turn off.' Said Green as Pidge tried to reach for her controls but couldn't.
"Curse my short arms!" Said Pidge groaning about her arms.
"Oh, I hate those little things!" Said Hunk as he look at Rover. "Can you get Rover to help us."
"I can't, he's offline because he needs to be recharged." Said Pidge looking at Hunk.
"All right, forget it, Pidge. I'm going to swim toward you. Just hang on!" Said Hunk attempting to get to Pidge, but didn't move. "That's it. I'm all out of moves. Oh, I'm hungry again. I hope some food goo comes oozing out of these walls."
Meanwhile back at the airlocks, Lana screamed, cried, and pounded on the doors of the airlock as the computer continues counting down.
"Help! Help! Help!" Shouted Lana trying to get someone to hear her.
'HELP. . . SOMEONE HELP US!' Shouted Blue scratching the airlock door.
Suddenly, Keith and the Red Lion both sped around the corner, with Keith's sword in his hand as he tried to fight the Gladiator back, who is still chasing him and his Lion, and the Gladiator push Keith back towards the airlock door.
"Keith!" Shouted Lana getting Keith's attention.
"Lana. . . What are you and Blue doing in there?" Asked Keith in shock.
"Look out!" Shouted Lana and Keith dodge as the Gladiator swings his sword at him.
'BLUE?!' Said Red in shock seeing the Blue Lion in the airlock.
'RED, YOU HAVE TO HELP US!' Shouted Blue getting worried.
"Keith, you need to help us, because if you don't get me and Blue out of here right now, we're going to be sucked out into space!" Said Lana getting worried.
"Doors opening." Said the computer as the airlock opens.
"AH, WE'RE GETTING SUCKED INTO SPACE!" Shouted Lana as she and Blue both grabbed for one of the ledges, and holding on for their dear life as the airlock starts sucking all the pressure and oxygen out of the room.
"NO!" Shouted Keith and Red in unison as they tried to help free Lana and the Blue Lion, but the Gladiator still wants to fight them.
Keith kicked the Gladiator against the door then slammed his hand against the controls as he dropped down, opening the door and sending the Gladiator flying out into space. Keith reached down his hand to Lana and she took it, while Red was able to grab Blue by her neck with his teeth as gently as he can, and pulled her out of the airlock with all his strength, and Lana starts scrambling as Keith hauled her out of the airlock, hitting the controls, the doors shutting, and they all panted heavily as they all tried to calm down.
'Blue, are you okay?' Asked Red looking at the Blue Lion with a concerned look.
'Yeah, I'm fine Red. . . Although that's an experience I hope never to repeat.' Said Blue panting heavily.
"What were you doing out there?" Asked Keith till he realized that Lana is in on top of him.
"I thought I heard Coran from the airlock, but apparently I got lockup and I almost got ejected to space." Said Lana looking at Keith and Keith's face got a bit red at how close Lana is. "But forget that, who was that guy? Wasn't that the Gladiator, and why was it chasing after you?"
"He was trying to kill me!" Said Keith looking at Lana.
"Well, is he the Castle? Because that's who's trying to kill me!" Said Lana looking at Keith.
Suddenly Lana and Keith both start to realize that something is wrong, so as soon as Lana got off of Keith, much to Keith's disappointment, Lana grabbed Keith by the arm and they both start running down the hallway to find the others, with the Blue and Red Lion following them.
Meanwhile back at Allura's bedroom, Allura's room began to spread a hologram of the beautiful field of Juniberry flowers, Allura is sitting on the floor of the field, blowing the petals from the flower gently, as her father's hologram sits next to her.
"Alteans flowers are the most beautiful." Said King Alfor's A.I. seeing the petals flying past him.
"It is sad that I will only see them in my dreams." Said Allura looking at the stem with a sad smile and the frown. "But, when I wake, my memories are like these spores, scattered in the wind."
"Altea is not merely a dream, Allura. It still exists. The Alteans flower, you can see it. You can touch it." Said King Alfor's A.I. giving Allura the flower and she takes it. "I can take you there. I can take you home."
"You can?" Asked Allura in shock.
"Would you like to go home?" Asked King Alfor's A.I smiling at Allura.
"Yes. I want to go back to Altea, Father." Said Allura smiling at her fathers hologram.
"Then come with me, and I will show you the way." Said King Alfor's A.I. holding out his hand for Allura.
Then Allura took her father's hologram hand, and they both head out of Allura's bedroom to go back to "Altea," and the Altean Mice squeak at each other, feeling worried about this.
Meanwhile back at the Green Lion's hanger, Pidge and Hunk were still floating around in gravity, along with the Green and Yellow Lion, till Pidge got an idea.
"Wait. Wait, wait. I have an idea. Grab on!" Asked Pidge informing to Hunk.
So Hunk do as Pidge told him what to do, and they both managed to grab hold of each other's arms, face-to-face with their stomachs facing the floor.
"Yeah! We did it!" Said Hunk smiling at Pidge. "Now, what?"
"Now, kick me as hard as you can!" Said Pidge instructing Hunk.
"What? No, we're friends." Said Hunk refusing to hurt his friend.
"No, no. Kick me so I can fly across the room and get to the control panel." Said Pidge explaining to Hunk.
So Hunk kicked Pidge as hard as he could. Then Pidge tried to reach for the control panel, but somehow ended up missing it and bouncing off the wall just above the control, then hitting the floor and flying off. Then just as Pidge was about to take Hunk's hand, the doors to the hangar opened and the gravity kicked in, dropping them and the Lions all to the ground.
"How can you guys be taking a nap while this castle is trying to kill us?" Asked Lana as she, Keith, and Coran enter the hanger along with the Red and Blue Lion.
"Taking a nap? We've been floating around in Zero G! You know how scary that is?" Said Hunk still a bit scared.
"That's not scary! That's fun! Me and Blue were almost ejected into space!" Said Lana panicking.
"Well, me and Yellow got attacked by killer food, and that's the most horrifying thing you can imagine! The stuff of nightmares! It'll haunt me to my grave!" Said Hunk in horror.
"Well, I had a robot trying to kill me!" Said Keith explaining his situation.
'You two okay?' Asked Red as he and Blue help Green and Yellow up.
'Sorta, I don't how that happened.' Said Green as she and Yellow got up.
"Okay, I don't care what you say, Coran. Something is really going on here in this castle to act up!" Said Lana frowning at Coran.
"Perhaps the infection from Sendak's Galra crystal is worse than we thought." Said Coran looking at the Galra Crystal.
'Ugh, I knew we never should've kept the crystal with us.' Said Red growling at the crystal.
'The crystal must've created a virus in the castle to make everything malfunction.' Said Blue understanding the situation.
"Well, let's get rid of it." Said Hunk suggesting an idea.
"It's too late. When Sendak plugged it into the ship, it corrupted the entire system." Said Coran to the Paladins.
"Sendak? Wait. Has anyone seen Shiro?" Asked Keith looking at the Paladins.
"The last time I saw him, he reminded at the detainment room with the Black Lion." Said Lana remembering where Shiro was before.
Meanwhile back at the detainment room, Shiro wasn't doing really good, as he was starting to hear Sendak's voice in his head, even though that Galra Commander is unconscious in his pod.
"We're connected, you and me. Both part of the Galra Empire." Said Sendak's voice through Shiro's head.
"No! I'm not like you." Said Shiro shaking in fear.
"You've been broken and reformed. Just look at your hand." Said Sendak's voice and Shiro looks at his metal arm.
"That's not me!" Said Shiro trying to deny what Sendak is saying.
"It's the strongest part of you. Embrace it. The others don't know what you know. They haven't seen what you've seen. Face it. You'll never beat Zarkon. He's already defeated you." Said Sendak's voice taunting Shiro.
"I'm not listening to you!" Said Shiro in full panic and covering his ears.
"Do you really think a monster like you could be a Voltron Paladin?" Said Sendak's voice evilly.
"Stop it!" Shouted Shiro punching the pod with his metal hand, causing the glass to crack underneath the pressure, making the Black Lion wake up from his nap.
Shiro panted heavily and he looked up, desperately trying to catch his breath. Suddenly, Sendak opened his eyes and grinned evilly, snapping his head down to look at Shiro.
Shiro screamed and slammed the controls, causing to eject Sendak's pod into space. Once he was gone, Shiro fell to his knees, sweating through his forehead as the hallway flickered red.
'Shiro, are you okay?' Asked Black trying to calm his Paladin, but Shiro didn't say a word.
Meanwhile with Allura and King Alfor's A.I., they were both at the ballroom as King Alfor's hologram began to speak.
"I remember how you used to dance around this very ballroom. I can still hear you giggling." Said King Alfor's A.I and Allura sight in happiness.
"Oh. . . Those were happy memories." Said Allura smiling sadly.
"We can create new memories, Allura." Said King Alfor's A.I. offering his hologram hand to Allura.
Allura smile at her father's hologram and takes his hand, and it went through, because in actuality, she was at the Main Bridge of the castle, and her hands are on driving podiums, as she activates the castles engine and getting ready to open a wormhole.
Meanwhile back at the detainment room, Shiro got up from the floor placing his hand where Sendak's pod use to be, trying to catch his breath, while the Black Lion tried to help his Paladin stand and calm down, then the others have enter the room with their Lions.
"Shiro, are you okay?" Asked Pidge as she and the others go to Shiro.
'Black, what happened?' Asked Red as he and the others go to the Black Lion.
'I don't know, Shiro began to hear Sendak's voice and he starts to panic, I tried to calm him down, but I don't know how Shiro was able to hear Sendak's voice, even though Sendak was unconscious.' Said Black looking at his Paladin with a worried look.
"Wait, where's Sendak?" Asked Keith seeing that Sendak is no longer in the castle.
"I. . . I had to get him out of here. I was hearing his voice. He. . . He can't be trusted on this ship." Said Shiro still a bit frazzled.
"It is the ship! I got stuck in a cryo-pod, then me and Blue got locked in an airlock. Keith and Red got attacked by a robot, and Hunk and Pidge, along with their Lions got attacked by food and had gravity turned off in the Green Lion's bay. It's been a weird morning." Said Lana sighting in exhaustion, suddenly the alarm began to blare.
"What? How is that possible?" Asked Coran seeing the of the castle appeared in the wall.
"What is it?" Asked Keith looking at the Altean Advisor.
"The ship is starting a wormhole jump!" Said Coran and the others were shock.
The Paladins, the Lions, and Coran all rushed to the Main Bridge to see driving the castle, smiling dreamily as she traveled through a wormhole.
"Allura, what's going on?" Asked Shiro to the Altean Princess.
"We're going to Altea. We're going home. My father is taking us." Said Allura smiling at the others.
The others didn't understand what was going as they tried to reach to Allura, till a partial shield appeared around Allura, blocking them and an angry King Alfor image appeared in the screen.
"Stay away from my daughter!" Shouted King Alfor's A.I. in anger.
"Allura, wake up!" Shouted Shiro trying to get Allura's attention but she didn't listen.
'I don't understand, what is going on?' Asked Black in shock.
"The crystal must have corrupted King Alfor's artificial intelligence. It's taking over!" Said Coran seeing the hologram next to Allura.
They exit the wormhole, revealing a massive star. It pulsed and solar waves rang out, washing over the ship.
"We're headed straight for a star and it's about to explode!" Said Pidge in horror.
'I don't understand, why is King Alfor's hologram asking Allura to send us here?' Asked Green in shock.
However inside the shield where Allura is, she saw the gigantic star as Altea in her sights, its man-made rings circling the planet and swirling clouds a brilliant sight.
"Father, I can see Altea." Said Allura smiling at her fathers hologram.
'The hologram is making Allura's see what is really not there!' Said Blue realizing what's going on.
'We need to snap Allura out of it, if we don't, will all be blown up!' Said Red to the others.
'How, the force field is preventing Allura to hear any of us!' Said Yellow looking at the Altean Princess.
"Allura! Allura, wake up! What you're seeing isn't real." Said Coran trying to get Allura's attention.
But Allura didn't hear Coran as she saw some Altean birds flying past her and her father's hologram, and then she see's herself in the field of beautiful flowers.
"The juniberries, the most exquisite flower of all." Said Allura as she picks the flower.
"Allura, please! You've got to listen to me!" Said Coran but his voice is static.
"Is this real?" Asked Allura as she look around.
"Of course it is real, Daughter. That flower you're touching is real." Said King Alfor's A.I as he turns to Allura.
"What are we going to do, we need to get Allura to wake up from her illusion!" Said Coran to the Paladins.
"But how are we going to get Allura to wake up?!" Said Keith looking at the Altean Advisor.
As the other's tried to wake Allura up but it was no use, not even the Lion's roar could wake Allura up. Then as Lana place her hands on the force field, suddenly her amulet began to glow and her whole body began glowing blue, shocking everyone even herself, suddenly Lana began to go through the force field.
The others were so shocked that Lana was able to go through the force field at ease, Lana didn't understand how she was able to go through the force field, but she didn't have time to think as she goes to Allura and touched her shoulder.
"Allura!" Said Lana getting Allura's attention.
Then as Allura's turns to look at Lana, the force field around them start to show the image of the Altean Juniberry Flower Field, and Lana was so shock and amazed at the image, realizing that it must be the image of what her home planet look like, making her understand how much Allura missed her home.
"Lana!" Said Allura smiling at Lana. "Isn't this wonderful, we're going back to my home planet, I'll see my home again."
"Allura, you have to listen to me, this isn't Altea, this isn't real Allura." Said Lana telling the Altean Princess the truth.
"How dare you, this is Altea, girl!" Said King Alfor A.I. glaring at Lana.
"No it's not, you're not really King Alfor, your just a hologram with his memories lying that Altea still exist." Said Lana glaring at King Alfor's A.I.
"But Lana, this really is Altea, and this is really the Juniberry Flower." Said Allura holding out the flower to her.
"Allura, I know how much you miss your home planet, not a minute goes by for me when I missed Earth, and I will give anything to see my family again." Said Lana giving Allura a sympathetic look. "But now I'm a Paladin of Voltron, I can't go back home without defeating Zarkon or putting my family in danger, and you need to accept that Altean is gone, but you still have Coran, and you have us now."
"Lana. . . I. . ." Said Allura as her hand shake a bit while holding the flower.
"Allura, listen to me, if this was Altea, and if this is really a Juniberry Flower, where is it's fragrance?" Asked Lana looking at Allura. "Coran told me that the Juniberry Flower have the most sweetest smell ever, so where is the fragrance?"
Then Allura lifts up the flower close to her face, then she sniffs the flower, realizing that it has no smell, suddenly the illusion fades around her and Lana revealing the massive star in front of her.
"That's not Altea." Said Allura looking at the massive star.
"And we are getting closer to it!" Said Lana looking concerned.
"When that star goes supernova, it will destroy the entire system. Allura, you must reset the course and get us out of here!" Said Pidge informing Allura.
Allura went to the controls to change course, with Lana by her side to help, but suddenly the controls shocked her and Lana, forcing them out of the forcefield. Allura stumbled and Coran caught her, while Keith caught Lana, and Alfor's hologram appeared at the controls.
"Father, please, I beg you to turn this ship around. If we don't do it soon, we will all perish!" Said Allura pleading her father's hologram.
"I know. That is my intention." Said King Alfor's A.I.
"What? Why?" Asked Allura in shock.
"Don't you see, dear daughter? Zarkon can never be defeated. He's been ruling for ten thousand years." Said King Alfor's A.I. as it began to fritz a bit.
"But we must continue to fight!" Said Allura insisting her father's hologram.
"Fight for what? It is all over for Altea. You don't have to live a lifetime of war. You can be with me and the rest of your people." Said King Alfor's A.I.
"Father, please! The paladins and I can still stop Zarkon! Somewhere in there, you must want that to happen." Said Allura reason her father's hologram and it began to to flicker.
"Allura, my A.I. has been corrupted. You must disconnect my power source." Said the original King Alfor's A.I. telling Allura.
"We can stroll across the Blossom Canyon every morning, just like we used to. Remember how much you loved that?" Said the corrupted King Alfor's A.I.
"I remember. I'll see you soon, Father." Said Allura and turns to the others. "I've got to get into the A.I. chamber to disconnect my father's power source manually."
"But that means losing King Alfor forever!" Said Coran realizing the situation.
"Paladins, get to your Lions! I need you to slow the Castle's descent into the star." Said Allura instructing the Paladins.
"I can try to override the system to open the hangars." Said Coran seriously.
So everyone did as they were told as the Paladins enter their Lions mechanical bodies and did everything they can to slow down the castle so it won't go closer to the massive star. Meanwhile Allura arrived at the memory chamber, Alfor's form flickering around the room.
"Don't do this!" Said the corrupted King Alfor's A.I.
"You must." Said the original King Alfor's A.I.
"All my memories, all my knowledge will be lost forever!" Said the corrupted King Alfor's A.I.
"Do it, Allura. If you are to live, we must say goodbye." Said the original King Alfor's A.I.
"I'm sorry about this, Father." Said Allura as she was about to disconnect her father's memory.
However the moment she touched the memory tube, the room went dark, small bubbles of light flitting around her, each one displaying a memory from Alfor's point of view.
"This is not real. This is all in the past." Said Allura trying to focus her goal.
Allura began running past the floating memories of her and her father during her childhood, and suddenly she stop at one floating memory of her as a baby and her father holding her and she can her the sound of a baby laughing, and Allura began to teared up.
"You don't have to fight, Allura. You don't have to make this sacrifice." Said the corrupted King Alfor's A.I. as it's hologram walk up to Allura.
Allura knew that she had to do what it needed to be done, as she thrusted herself to the father's hologram and hugged it.
"Goodbye, Father." Said Allura as her father's hologram began to crack.
"Goodbye, Allura." Said King Alfor's hologram before it disappeared.
After Allura break the memory tube, the memories around her faded and when the room was light again, the only thing left was a cold, empty memory tube, she knew it was hard, but she did what it had to be done.
With the corruption purged from the Castle of Lion's system, the Paladins have returned into the castle in their hanger, as Allura was able to wormhole away in time as the star blew up. Back in the Main Bridge, everyone gather up around Allura, who is still despaired after destroying King Alfor's memories, and Coran sits beside her comforting her, while the Lion's also do what they can to comfort her.
"I'm so sorry about your father, Princess." Said Shiro giving Allura a sympathetic look.
"We all are." Said Hunk as he and the others give Allura sympathetic looks as well.
"Thank you. But that was not my father. The real King Alfor was a great man and a great father. He may not be here with us anymore, but his dream lives on through all of us, and his legacy is Voltron." Said Allura with confidence in her and the Paladins smile at her, and Allura turns to Lana. "And Lana, I want to thank you for helping see the truth."
"Your welcome Allura, I know how much Altea and your family, but you still have Coran with you, and you have us now." Said Lana smiling at Allura. "And we can be your new family."
Allura smile at Lana and the others also smile at Lana's words, however Keith blush a bit how Lana is so kind-hearted to others, and secretly wanted to be more than one of Lana's family, but doesn't know how to express his feelings, but hope he will soon.
Despite the loss of her father's memories, Allura stands strong and reassures the Paladin's that her father's legacy is Voltron, and will do anything to continue that legacy, and knowing that they will do anything to defeat Zarkon and free the entire universe from the Galra Empire.
