It's been two days since the Paladins were sent off to different sides of the universe, while the two Altean's were stuck in a time loop, because Haggar corrupted the wormhole. They reunited together and are happy that they're unharmed, except for Shiro, since he was still injured from his fight with Haggar, and had to fight off these lizard creatures till Keith rescue him.
So the Paladin's put Shiro into the pod, and hope that he'll be heal soon, while Shiro was healing, the others were still worried about him, as they were gathered around Shiro's pod, just under an hour before it released him, however during that time, his face was all scrunched up and he moved it from side to side, like he was dreaming something horrible.
"Is he okay?" Asked Hunk looking at Allura and Coran.
"Sometimes, the healing process can cause involuntary brain wave reactions." Said Allura looking at the others.
"He looks like he's having a bad dream." Said Hunk looking back at Shiro.
"He just got blasted by a space witch and mauled by giant lizards. What dream could be worse than that?" Said Keith looking worried for Shiro.
~Shiro's Dream~
Shiro struggled against his bonds on the operating table, watching with panic as he saw the Galra doctors and sentries in scrubs prep the room around him.
"No, no! No." Said Shiro struggling to get free. "You took my hand. What more do you want?"
Then one of the robots starts injecting him with some purple liquid. Immediately, everything started to become fuzzy around the edges, his thoughts slowing.
"Stop! I want him awake enough to feel this." Said a Galra Doctor.
Shiro was a bit woozy a bit, but he see's a bit clearly as the robot was about to do something, when all of a sudden, the doctor slammed the robot into the wall, knocking it down, he pulled a knife and stabbed the other one with it, bringing it to the ground, then he started to cut Shiro's bonds, and plugged a very small USB drive into Shiro's wrist, typing away on a hologram.
"Listen to me. We don't have much time." Said the Galra Doctor.
Shiro was confused at first, until he began to feel his mind slip away in darkness, however the Gala Doctor sense this, and he slapped Shiro so hard, that it was enough to keep him focused and awake.
"Wake up! Zarkon has located the Blue Lion of Voltron on your planet, Earth. You must get it before he does." Said the Galra Doctor.
The Galra helped Shiro up, then he checked the hallways outside the operation room making sure there is no one out there. Seeing that it's empty, he began to lead Shiro out.
"What are you doing?" Asked Shiro in confusion.
"I've planted a bomb to cover your escape. Get to a pod, now." Said the Galra Doctor looking at Shiro.
"Who are you?" Asked Shiro looking at the Galra.
"I am Ulaz." Said Ulaz introducing himself. "Now, come on! Zarkon will know that I released you, so I must disappear. But, if you survive, go to the coordinates in your arm. The Blade of Marmora is with you."
"Why are you helping me?" Asked Shiro not understanding why a Galra is helping him.
"As a fighter and a leader, you give hope. Hurry! Earth needs you. We all do." Said Ulaz looking at Shiro.
Then Ulaz disappear down the hallway, while Shiro catch his breath before continuing to walk down the hallway. However because he was still woozy from the liquid the sentries inject him, Shiro was barely conscious enough to keep time with the sentries, using his fingers to count the steps.
Then just as he was reaching to the pod bay, a loud explosion from Ulaz's bombs cause the ship to shook, meaning that Shiro had to hurry to escape. To Shiro's comfort, the closest podbay was empty, and Shiro saw a pod with an open hatch. So Shiro stumbled inside the pod bay and slammed his hand down on the controls, causing the doors to shut close behind him. However, Shiro didn't have time to buckle in, as he was thrown to the ground once the pod was ejected. And suddenly everything went black.
~End of Shiro's Dream~
Shiro awoke with a soft groan, as he saw that he's in a cryopod and looked up to see his teammates, the Lion's, and the two Alteans smiling at him from the other side of the glass, happy to Shiro is awake and okay, and Shiro smile back.
Meanwhile back at Zarkon's Central Command Center, in Haggar's lair, Prorok wakes up to see that he's inside a coffin and look through the glass to Haggar lifting the coffin and was about to make him into a robeast.
"You know I'm innocent! I would never betray Zarkon! You're weakening the empire!" Said Prorok glaring at Haggar.
"You misunderstand. I'm giving you the opportunity to serve the empire. You will have the honor of personally bringing down Voltron." Said Haggar as she uses her magic.
Suddenly Prorok began screaming in pain as Haggar extract the very quintessence and soul from Prorok's body, and placing it into the body of a robeast she and her Druids made.
Meanwhile back at the Castle of Lion's, after Shiro exit out his pod and explain to the other's what he had remembered the day he escaped from Zarkon's ship, they are all at the Green Lion's hanger, as Shiro sits down while Pidge had plugged her laptop as well as Rover into Shiro's arm, to look for the coordinates in Shiro's arm. The Lions were with them, as the Black Lion sits next to Shiro.
"I'm not finding any coordinates in here. Are you sure this wasn't just a dream?" Asked Pidge looking at Shiro.
"I'm positive. Someone helped me escape." Said Shiro insisting to Pidge.
"And he was Galra?" Asked Allura looking a bit bitter.
"Yes." Said Shiro looking at Allura.
"You know you cannot trust them." Said Allura huffing in bitterness.
"Your father must have trusted them once. Zarkon was the original Black Paladin, wasn't he?" Asked Shiro and Allura got shock.
"That was a long time ago." Said Allura looking away in a bit of shame.
"Wait, what?" Asked Lana in shock as she and the other's look at Allura.
'Ugh, it seems like they know now.' Said Yellow knowing that the secret is out.
'I knew we should've told them the truth.' Said Red in frustration.
'Red, you know how sensitive Allura gets about how Zarkon was Black's original Paladin.' Said Blue looking at Red. 'But you're right.'
'Allura should've told them, but more importantly, she should've let Black told Shiro first.' Said Green agreeing with the other Lion's.
"Didn't you see how he stole the Black Lion right out from Shiro? Or that he could do all that cool stuff with his bayard? Shiro's bayard? You know, the black one?" Said Keith looking at Allura with a frown.
"Why didn't you just tell us the truth about Zarkon?" Asked Shiro looking at the Altean Princess.
"I wanted to protect you from the dark history of the paladins so that you would have a chance to bond with your lions on your own. You are the Black Paladin now, not Zarkon." Said Allura looking at Shiro with determination.
"Yeah, well, the Black Lion may have a different take on the matter." Said Shiro looking down at the floor.
'No Shiro, that's not true.' Said Black looking at Shiro. 'Zarkon may be my original Paladin, but I chose you to be my next Paladin, and you have the potential of a great leader for Voltron.'
"Wait a second. I think I see it now. Some repeating numbers in all this Galra code. Let me extract it." Said Pidge as she as pulls out a map that show the coordinates in Shiro's arm. "They are coordinates! They lead here: the Thaldycon system."
"Then, that's where we're headed." Said Shiro as he got up.
"Shiro, are you sure you can trust this? I mean, after all the Galra have done to you. . . They. . . They took your arm." Said Keith worrying for Shiro.
"It's worth the risk. Someone helped me escape. If we can locate some allies in our fight against Zarkon, especially ones from his own side, we might just find a way to take him down." Said Shiro with determination.
"We can check the location, but I do not like this. The Galra are not to be trusted." Said Allura crossing her arms.
About a few minutes later, the wormhole Allura made deposited the Castle of Lion's, as the Paladin's saw that they're surrounded with huge chunks of crystals floating around the area, that gleamed a greenish blue color, but no matter how much they looked around the area that was all they found. No base, just crystals.
"Well, this is it. No sign of any activity at all, living or otherwise." Said Coran looking over
"Can we get in there to take a closer look?" Asked Shiro looking at Coran.
"I don't want to bring the Castle any closer. Those xanthorium chunks contain highly unstable nitrate salts. Even bumping one of them can blow us straight to Wozblay." Said Coran looking at the console.
"Are you sure this is right?" Asked Shiro feeling like something isn't right.
"These are the coordinates Number Five gave me." Said Coran answering Shiro's question.
"Hey! My decryption is solid." Said Pidge sounding a bit offended.
"There must be something we're missing." Said Shiro looking at the crystals.
"We should get out of here. We've checked it out, but now, it's time to move on." Said Allura stating her opinion.
"No. There must be something more to this. I can feel it. I think we should wait." Said Shiro as they all wait.
Meanwhile back at Zarkon's Central Command Center, Haggar arrived at the throne room, where Zarkon is waiting for her, and she stands in front of him.
"Sire, Prorok's transformation is complete. We only need to know where to send him." Said Haggar informing Zarkon.
So Haggar and Zarkon have arrived at the atrium, Zarkon stood on a platform over the expanse of space with the top Druids and Haggar. Once Zarkon was in position in the center, the Druids and Haggar began shoot violet lightning at Zarkon, which pumps him full of their psychic power.
"Now, reach out with your mind!" Said Haggar instructing Zarkon.
Zarkon did as what Haggar told him, as he starts searching for a deep connection with his very soul. Suddenly he found the Castle of Lions, as he was able to see a field full of xanthorium crystals at the edge of civilization.
"I have the coordinates to launch the beast." Said Zarkon informing Haggar.
Meanwhile back at the Thaldycon system, inside the Castle of Lion's, the Paladin's and Altean's were all still waiting on something since the coordinates lead them there, when suddenly the castle alarm began blaring.
"There's an intruder in the Castle!" Said Coran in panic.
"How could someone just sneak aboard the ship?" Asked Lana in shock.
"I knew coming here was a mistake!" Said Allura pulling up some footage of a man in black and violet stealth armor running through the lower halls. "There he is. Level five."
"Everyone, suit up." Said Shiro informing the others.
So everyone went to their hangers and suit up into their Paladin suits, and starts heading to the hallway where the intruder is. Lana was jogging through the halls when she turned to see the intruder at the hallway.
"I got him." Said Lana aiming her gun at the intruder.
"Keep eyes on him, Lana. We're all headed toward you." Said Shiro over the com-link.
"Hold it right there!" Said Lana readying her gun.
Suddenly the intruder starts approaching at Lana, as she began firing her gun at him, however he was too quick and keep dodging the blasts expertly, that Lana kept on aiming for nonlethal areas in the hallways.
"Careful, he's faster than an angry klanmüirl!" Said Coran through the com links. "But he can jump like a sprightly globinheffer!"
"Coran, you're not helping!" Said Lana frowning a bit.
"Somebody's as mad as a wet chüper." Said Coran through the com links and then warns Pidge. "Coming your way, Number Five!"
So Pidge stops at her tracks as the the intruder charges at her, so Pidge quickly dodge and rolls, while the intruder jumps over her. Then Pidge activates her Bayard and shoots her grappling hook at him, and the intruder catches it.
"I got him!" Said Pidge till the intruder drags her with him. "I don't got him!"
"He's dragging Pidge away!" Said Coran through the com links.
"Come back here!" Said Pidge trying to pull back but the intruder was too strong.
Then as the intruder dragged Pidge, he took another turn down the hallway where Hunk was, and he tried to shoot him, but his eyes were closed that he didn't see Pidge, but luckily he missed her.
"Hunk!" Shouted Pidge annoyingly at Hunk.
"Huh? Sorry!" Said Hunk embarrassed as Lana runs passed him.
"Oh, Hunk failed the team, guys." Said Coran through the com links.
"Hey!" Said Hunk feeling offended.
"All right, it's up to Keith now." Said Coran through the com links.
"Copy that. I'm ready." Said Keith as he activated his Bayard.
"Oh, this is exciting! He's got a sword. One young paladin, one seemingly indestructible foe." Said Coran through the com links.
Then Keith approached to the intruder, however Keith ducked out of the way as the intruder run past him, then Keith follows him as Pidge continues to be dragged away.
"Swing and a miss!" Said Coran describing how Keith swings his sword at the intruder. "Oh, another swing and a miss! He can't touch him! He's too fast!"
Then Keith and Pidge look at each other, they nodded their heads as Pidge dug her heels into the ground, yanking the intruder to slow down. Then Keith use his jetpack to leap forward and tried to strike the intruder with his sword, only to have it blocked by the intruder's blade.
However Keith saw a long, curved, and deep violet glowing symbol at the hilt, and Keith felt like the symbol looked familiar to her. Keith got distracted that the intruder was able to use that distract to throw him back, knocking his bayard out of his hands.
"He knocked his bayard out of his hands! It's on the ground!" Said Coran through the com links in a panic voice.
Suddenly the intruder yanked the green bayard to pull Pidge forward, then spun her as she flung back into Keith, knocking them both to the ground. Keith ran forward with a yell, trying to attack, but the intruder grabbed Keith and throw him back onto Lana and Hunk, taking them down.
Suddenly the intruder turned just as Shiro lunged. The intruder had his sword at Shiro's neck while Shiro had his arm at the intruder's throat, everything went silent for a moment, till the intruder lowered his sword from Shiro, slowly the intruder reached up to pull down its hood, and the mask disappeared, revealing a familiar pale lilac face.
"Ulaz?" Said Shiro in shock seeing the Galra who freed him, and Allura came out of nowhere, slamming Ulaz up against the wall with her hand on his chest.
"Who are you?" Shouted Allura glaring at Ulaz.
"Stop! It's him! This is the Galra who set me free." Said Shiro looking at Ulaz.
"You've come." Said Ulaz looking at Shiro.
The Paladin's and Allura all gathered in the lounge, with Coran staying on the bridge to keep an eye on things. Ulaz sat on the couches, while the Paladins and Allura standing around him. Ulaz also had his wrists and ankles cuffed.
"I don't think this is necessary." Said Shiro looking at Allura.
"I will not have some quiznak-ing Galra soldier on the bridge of my ship!" Said Allura glaring at Ulaz.
"If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead already." Said Ulaz calmly.
"Are your Galra threats supposed to win my trust?" Asked Allura glaring at Ulaz.
"I'm not trying to win your trust. I'm trying to win a war. And, because of Shiro, we are closer than we've ever been. Our gamble on you paid off better than we could have ever imagined." Said Ulaz explaining.
"When you released me, you also mentioned that there were others working with you." Said Shiro looking at Ulaz.
"Yes. We are called the Blade of Marmora." Said Ulaz looking at the Paladins.
"Uh, others? Are they here?" Asked Hunk looking nervously.
"Hunk, Honey-Bee, can you please try not to act so scared around the chained-up prisoner? It kinda makes us seem a little bit lame." Said Lana looking at her best friend.
"I am alone on this base." Said Ulaz answering Hunk's question.
"What is this base you're talking about?" Asked Allura frowning at Ulaz. "Shiro's coordinates just led us to this wasteland."
"The base is hidden. Now that I know it is Shiro that has come, you are welcome to our outpost. It lies dead ahead." Said Ulaz explaining to the Paladins and Allura.
"Behind all the xanthorium clusters?" Asked Pidge looking at Ulaz.
"No. Right in front of it, in a hidden pocket of space-time." Said Ulaz explaining to the others.
"Coran, are you hearing this?" Asked Allura to the Altean Advisor.
"I am picking up some kind of anomaly on the screen. I suppose it could be a cloaked base." Said Coran over the castle's com links.
"Just fly straight for the center of the xanthorium cluster. You will see." Said Ulaz explaining to the Paladin's and Allura.
"You think you're going to get me to destroy our ship just because you say so?" Asked Allura frowning at Ulaz.
"We came out here to find some answers. Are we going to turn back now?" Asked Shiro looking at Allura.
"You know I trust you, Shiro, but this doesn't feel right." Said Keith feeling like this is a trap.
"And I don't like to take sides, but Keith has a point, it's a big fat ditto for me." Said Lana agreeing with Keith, causing the Red Paladin to blush a bit.
"Galra could have implanted fake memories of the escape in your head." Said Pidge suggesting her point of view.
"Oh, come on, that would be so evil, which, of course, they are. But they'd have to come up with some molecular level storage unit, which his hand does have. But, to be linked up to memory, it would need a direct pathway to his brain, which yeah." Said Hunk trying to defend Shiro but just confused himself.
"Ulaz freed me. Without him, we wouldn't be here." Said Shiro stating his point of view and Allura sighed.
"Fine. Slow and steady, Coran. Head for the xanthorium cluster." Said Allura instructing Coran.
"Yes, Princess. Beginning approach." Saod Coran sounding nervous. "Impact imminent in five, four three, two. . ."
At first the Paladins and Allura were all nervous as they were expecting an explosion, even the Lions gather together to brave for impact, however nothing happened.
"Well, that's something." Said Coran sounding shock.
"What is it?" Asked Allura getting curious.
"Putting it up on the screens." Said Coran showing the hologram to the Paladins and Allura.
Instead of explosions, the hologram a beautiful rainbow like wormhole before their eyes, and they were amazed at the sight.
"Amazing. They're folding space." Said Pidge in amazement.
"It's like a space taco. Or a space calzone. Or a space-time soup dumpling and we're the soup. Hey, is there a cafeteria on this thing?" Asked Hunk thinking about food and they all saw a large space base.
"Welcome to the Blade of Marmora Communications Base Thaldycon." Said Ulaz as he starts getting up. "Now, if you'll free me, I need to send a message to the leadership. They need to know I've made contact with Voltron."
"Go with him and keep an eye on him. I'm staying here." Said Allura informing the Paladins.
"Oh! Can we go?" Asked Hunk looking eager.
"I want to see how they make the space pocket!" Said Pidge looking eager as well.
"You guys go ahead. I wanted to see as well, but I think it's better if I stay behind in any case." Said Lana smiling at the others.
So the four Paladins and Ulaz all enter Red Lion as Keith launched his Lion and starts flying towards the space base.
"This is the gravity generator that creates the space-time fold that hides the station. It was created by a reclusive genius engineer named Slav. His technology allows the Blade of Marmora to remain hidden while we work to take down the Galra Empire. Zarkon would do anything to get his hands on this technology." Said Ulaz explaining to the Paladins.
"There are Galra out there that aren't loyal to Zarkon?" Asked Keith as he's still a bit skeptical.
"We thought expanding the Galra Empire would bring stability. We learned too late, a tyrant doesn't seek stability, only power." Said Ulaz sneering about Zarkon.
As the Red Lion docks onto the base, the Paladins and Ulaz, alone with the Red Lion who's in his physical form, and Ulaz leads them to the Main Bridge.
"With our members working on the inside, planning coordinated attacks with Voltron, we may finally have a chance." Said Ulaz while looking at tend hologram of Zarkon's ship.
"So, you have agents working within Zarkon's ranks?" Asked Hunk looking at Ulaz.
"How do you think you got away from Zarkon in that last fight? Do you think those shields around Zarkon's command center went down on their own?" Said Ulaz stating his point of view. "We've got people risking their lives in this war, just like you."
"If you have people on the inside, can they tell me where my family is? They were taken the same time Shiro was." Said Pidge hoping to find out more about her father and brother.
"I knew others from Earth were captured. I never saw them, but I have some records of Galra prisoners here. I can transmit them to your ship." Said Ulaz as he goes through his console.
Keith began to staring at Ulaz's blade, and got very curious at how the blade is small now, but still has the symbol that Keith notice earlier.
"What's that weapon you carry?" Asked Keith looking curious.
"It's a ceremonial blade that each member of our order carries." Said Ulaz showing Keith his blade.
"Hmm, nice." Said Keith sounding a bit nonchalant.
However the Red Lion seem to notice that his Paladin look like the weapon look familiar, and suddenly the alarms began blaring around them.
"Oh, no!" Said Ulaz seeing something in his monitor. "You were tracked!"
"What? Us?" Asked Pidge in shock.
"If Zarkon knows we're here, it's because you ratted us out." Said Keith frowning at Ulaz.
Suddenly Ulaz's monitor saw Haggar's robeast, coming out from its coffin, and everyone was shock to see it.
"It's another one of Zarkon's robot. . . Beast. . . Ro-beasts!" Said Hunk in horror.
"We have to get back to the ship." Said Shiro informing the Paladins.
"Shiro, wait. These are instructions on how to reach the Blade of Marmora headquarters." Said Ulaz handing a thumb drive to Shiro. "Before you go there, find out how Zarkon is tracking you. If you lead him there, our entire underground network, everything we've spent centuries building, will be lost."
Shiro nodded his head as the Paladins making their way to the Red Lion. As they enter the Red Lion and the Red's spirit went into his mechanical body, Keith took his seat as the other's huddled around him. Then Keith took hold of the two thrusters and steered Red back to the Castle of Lions.
"I knew he cannot be trusted!" Said Allura angrily thinking that Ulaz sold them out.
"It wasn't him." Said Shiro looking certain.
"How can you be sure?" Asked Allura questioning Shiro.
"It doesn't matter now. What should we do?" Asked Coran worryingly.
"Why can't we hide here in the space clam and wait for it to go away?" Asked Hunk a bit nervous.
"Everyone get to your lions, but don't launch. We'll wait to see what it does. I don't want to risk fighting it if we don't have to." Said Shiro instructing the Paladins.
So Lana starts making her way to Blue's hanger, while the Red Lion finally made it to his hanger inside the castle, then Pidge, Hunk, and Shiro exit out of Red, and all head to their Lion's hangers.
As Lana arrived at Blue's hanger, the Blue Lion lowered her head and opened her jaw, as Lana climbed in and made her way to the cockpit, and took her seat and put both hands on the thrusters. Then Blue closed her jaw and lifted her head, and both Lana and Blue waited patiently for further instructions, as Shiro, Pidge, and Hunk made it to their own Lions.
"We should be safe as long as we're hidden in the space pocket." Said Pidge stating the situation.
'I hope you're right, Pidge.' Said Green feeling a bit nervous.
Suddenly the robeast began to unhinged its jaw, once it's fully opened, it starts to suck in a handful of the xanthorian crystals, as each of them shrinking and they were swallowed.
"He's drawing in the xanthorium clusters." Said Coran in shock.
"I think he knows we're here." Said Hunk nervously.
'Let's try to stay calm Hunk, we don't know if it knows we're here.' Said Yellow calming his Paladin.
"Hold." Said Shiro as the Paladins hold their ground.
'Hold your ground, my pride.' Said Black to the other lions.
Suddenly the robeast opened its jaw, and shoots energy beams at the crystals on the fringes of the belt, causing a massive explosions, and the explosions began leaving a small pocket of undisturbed space.
"Direct hit! He definitely knows we're here!" Said Coran panicking.
"Get the particle barrier up!" Said Allura as Coran activates the particular barrier and the roneast began to suck in more crystal.
"He's readying another attack!" Said Coran grunting as the castle move.
"He's pulling us in as well! Paladins, I think it's time to launch!" Said Allura informing the Paladins.
"Form Voltron!" Shouted Shiro and Black informing the Paladins and Lions
So the Paladins launch their Lions out of the Castle of Lions and form Voltron. The Paladin's launched out of the space pocket dimension, and landed a solid punch on the robeast, making the beam lose it's target, the space pocket disappeared, revealing the base and the castle.
"We're exposed! The space fold has been lowered!" Shouted Allura as a small pod flew out of the base.
"Well, there goes Ulaz." Said Coran seeing Ulaz taking off.
"I knew we should never trust a Galra!" Said Allura in anger.
Meanwhile Voltron was having a struggling time fighting the robeast, while Ulaz flew past them and out of the system.
"Let's light this thing up. Fire lasers!" Shouted Shiro as they began shooting later at the robeast, but it dodge as it opens its jaw to absorb more crystals.
"He's pulling in more ammo!" Shouted Pidge observing the robeast.
'What are we going to do now?!' Said Green in a panic tone.
"Move, move, move!" Said Shiro as Voltron quickly dodge.
However a backlash from the explosion of the xanthorium clusters crystals hits them, forcing Voltron to fly backwards, then the robeast began to ready another blast.
"Lana, Hunk, give me full reverse boosters!"said Shiro commanding as the two legs activate the thrusters, and making them stop before they hit the crystals.
However the robeast began to absorb more crystals which included one of the parts of Voltron and pulling the Paladin's towards it as the crystals began entering in the jaws.
"This thing wants to eat us like we're a space taco!" Shouted Hunk panicking.
'Great, it's think we're food!' Said Yellow in a panic tone.
Then as Voltron reached to the robeast, Lana and Hunk activate the legs and stop being consumed by planting the feet on either sides of the jaw, however the robeast grabs Voltron's arm, holding it in place.
"Can't get free!" Said Shiro struggling to get free.
"I'll make him back off!" Said Keith as he activates the sword and stabs the robeast, causing it to let go of Voltron.
"We've got to keep some distance between us and that ro-beast!" Said Shiro as the robeast recovered and starts chasing Voltron while shooting beams at them.
Even though the beans missed Voltron, they attempt to hit the crystals causing them to explode, Voltron barely manage to escape those explosions, but then the robeast began to draw in more crystal in its jaw.
"It's trying to pull us in again!" Shouted Hunk as they barely manage to avoid it.
'What are we going to do now?!' Shouted Yellow in concern as the robeast began pulling Voltron again.
"I'm burning thrusters at full capacity and it's not making any difference!" Said Lana desperately trying to get out of the tractor beam, suddenly the robeast got blasted behind by the Castle of Lions.
"Is everyone all right?" Asked Allura from the castle's com links.
"Alive, yes. All right, no." Said Lana looking a bit desperate, and suddenly the robeast starts blasting at the castle.
"It's going for the Castle!" Shouted Keith warning the others.
'If it sucks in the castle, it'll destroy everything in it, along with Allura and Coran!' Said Red sounding worry.
"We need some way to stop its tractor beam!" Said Pidge informing the others.
"I've got an idea. Pidge, form shield!" Said Shiro as Pidge activated the shield. "We can use the shield to block the beam!"
So Voltron stuffs the shield in the robeasts mouths and punches it by the face, causing it to stumble backwards.
"We stopped the beam. Now, what?" Asked Keith getting frustrated with the robeast.
"Now, we go on the offensive." Said Shiro replying to Keith's question.
"The xanthorium clusters! We can use them!" Said Pidge suggesting the idea.
So Voltron began to shove the robeast towards the xanthorium clusters crystals, yanking the shield back at the last moment and flying back, and the robeast crashed into a crystal and caused a myriad of explosions around it.
At first, the Paladin's and the two Alteans believed that the battle is over and the won, but suddenly a massive blast aimed at them, and they could just barely raise the shields in time to block it.
"The shield can't handle this much power!" Said Pidge and suddenly the shield broke apart, knocking Voltron back, and the robeast began to suck in more crystals.
"We might not be strong enough to beat this thing!" Said Hunk admitting to Shiro.
"Hang on!" Shouted Ulaz from his base.
"Ulaz?" Said Shiro in shock as Ulaz flies towards the base.
"I'm going to take it down from the inside!" Said Ulaz declaring his plan.
"Ulaz, no! Let us handle this!" Said Shiro pleading at Ulaz.
"Voltron is too valuable. The universe needs you." Said Ulaz as his ship sped up, darting past Voltron and began to barrel into the robeast.
Then the robeast swallowed Ulaz ship, at first nothing happened as Voltron stand it's ground waiting for any attack, when suddenly Prorok jolted, the entire base around it shaking. Then the robeast began to fold in on itself, taking the rest of the base with it.
"Ulaz opened up the space pocket from inside! It's falling in on itself!" Said Pidge and suddenly there was an explosion meaning the robeast, along with Ulaz are gone.
"He did it!" Said Hunk smiling at their victory.
"Ulaz saved us." Said Keith smiling as well.
"He's gone." Said Shiro upset that Ulaz sacrificed himself.
Meanwhile back at the Castle of Lions, Shiro was on the observation deck staring at the crystals outside still a bit upset how Ulaz sacrificed himself to save their lives, while Keith came in to check on him, and saw that Shiro hadn't moved since Ulaz's sacrifice.
"Sorry we doubted Ulaz, Shiro. He saved all our lives." Said Keith looking at Shiro.
"I still have so many questions." Said Shiro with a worried tone.
"Do you think Zarkon is really tracking us?" Asked Keith as Allura enters the room.
"We cannot know for sure. Only Ulaz knew our whereabouts." Said Allura causing Keith and Shiro to turn to her.
"You don't really think Ulaz gave us up?" Asked Shiro stating back at Allura. "After he sacrificed himself?"
"Yeah! Maybe Zarkon found out about this place on his own. He's probably been searching for the Blade of Marmora." Said Keith suggesting as well.
"It's clear the loss of Ulaz has caused you great concern, but, regardless of how Zarkon located us, we cannot stay here any longer. It isn't safe." Said Allura stating her fact.
"We should meet up with the rest of Ulaz's group, finish what we started." Said Keith suggesting the idea.
"No. We're not going to the headquarters until we figure out how Zarkon found us. We can't risk losing the only allies we have in this war." Said Shiro looking serious.
Keith sat on his bed as he stared at his knife in his hands. When he was young, his father gave him the knife, saying that it was a gift from his mom, who Keith never knew, because she left when he was a baby, but only to protect him.
Then Keith began to undo the white wrapping, and reveal the same glowing symbol that was on Ulaz's blade, when he intrude the castle. Keith have always wonder who his mother and why the knife has the crest of the Blade of Marmora, little did Keith know is that he'll soon discover his true heritage.
