After they have left Olkarion, the Paladin's, the Lion's, and the two Alteans were all found by Zarkon, and were shock to understand how he was able to find them so soon.
"Zarkon! How did he find us?" Said Allura frowning at the sight of Zarkon's ship.
"His commanders must have radioed him from Olkarion." Said Keith suggesting the feeling.
'Ugh, I knew we should've deal with that Galra!' Said Red in anger.
"We need to wormhole, now! Everyone to your stations. We've got to put some distance between us and Zarkon." Said Shiro as they all get into their station, while the Lion's stand next to their Paladins. "This could be the fight of our lives."
Suddenly they were being shoot by a lot of Galra fighter's, that Zarkon sent out to destroy them and get the lions.
"That's sure a lot of fighters." Said Keith seeing the fighters.
'Ugh, Zarkon just won't give up!' Said Red in anger.
"Allura, can you evade these fighters? We can't have them following us through the wormhole." Said Shiro informing Allura.
"I can try." Said Allura as she activates the particle barrier and the castle starts to fly off as the Galra fighters start chasing them.
"Keith, Lana, let's lay down some covering fire." Said Shiro instructing Lana and Keith.
Shiro, Lana, and Keith began launching circular drones with rings of their colour around them, manning them from their stations as they began to fire at the Galra. It wasn't much but they were able to get rid of some parts of the fleet.
"Lana, incoming, 12 o'clock high!" Said Pidge warning Lana.
"Got it!" Said Lana as she was about to shoot at some small ships when Keith flew his drone and push passed Lana's and destroyed it. "Hey!"
"Sorry! Gotta be quick!" Said Keith a bit smugly.
"How's that for quick?" Said Lana slamming her drone at Keith's.
"You!" Said Keith growling at Lana as the two drones started slamming into each other.
"Knock it off, you two, now is not the time to have sex with each other with your drones!" Said Shiro giving Keith and Lana a sly smirk.
"SHIRO!" Shouted Lana and Keith in unison as they're blushing deeply.
"Keep calling out those fighters, Pidge. Hunk, how are the defenses holding?" Asked Shiro turning to Hunk.
"I don't know. Ten percent? Fifteen maybe?" Said Hunk feeling exhausted after their battle from Olkarion. "Everything's a blur. I've been up too long. I have tired eyes!"
'Ugh, me too, after the whole cube battle, I could barely open my eyes.' Said Yellow agreeing with Hunk.
"I know we just came off an intense battle, but we've got to stay focused, just until we jump." Said Shiro reminding the others.
"And when is that? They're still too close! We need to gain more speed!" Said Coran panicking a bit.
"I've got an idea! Hold on!" Said Allura as she flew the castle to the moon.
"Allura, what are you doing?" Asked Pidge feeling a bit tense.
"I'm going to use this moon's gravity to gain speed and put some distance between us and Zarkon." Said Allura telling the Paladins her plan.
So the Paladin's and the Lion's brace for impact as Allura flew the castle close to the moon, feeling its gravity alter their path and pull them into a tight orbit, speeding them up.
"We're clear to wormhole!" Said Coran informing Allura.
Then Allura activated the castle's thrusters before summoning a wormhole in front of them. Then the Castle of Lions flew through it, losing the Zarkon and his fleet behind them. However as they were in the wormhole, the castle somehow started to shook and the alarm blared.
"We got away from Zarkon, how come we're still on alert?" Asked Lana feeling a bit confused.
'I don't know.' Said Blue in confusion as well.
"Coran, what's going on?" Asked Keith looking at the Altean Advisor.
"Oh, no! Teludav lens malfunction! We're about to exit this wormhole a lot sooner than we planned!" Said Coran warning the others.
After a few seconds later, the wormhole spat them out in a corner of space that was filled with giant, odd-shaped glaciers, that are not quite large enough to have their own orbit.
"Whoa." Said Keith in amazement.
"Where are we? Looks like some sort of iceberg graveyard." Said Lance looking at the ice glaciers.
'It kinda reminds me of my original Paladin's home planet.' Said Blue smiling a bit.
"Coran, what's the status?" Asked Allura feeling a bit weak.
"Checking that now. We didn't make it to our exit point, but we're several galaxies from Zarkon's fleet." Said Coran explaining and suddenly Allura collapsed on the floor. "Allura!"
"Allura!" Shouted everyone as they all go check up on Allura, who's sweating and exhausted, and the Lion's helped her a bit.
"Oh, no, you look exhausted. You must rest. You've been exerting way too much energy. I'll go check on the main turbine and figure out what's going. . . Whoa!" Shouted Coran as he was about to head out when his skin suddenly began to glisten and he slid before slamming into the wall beside the door.
"Are you all right?" Asked Lana looking concerned and Coran groaned a bit before looking at the Paladins.
"I'm fine. Look, I tell you what, I've probably hit a slippery spot on the ground there. Someone please wipe that up there!" Said Coran pointing at the liquid fluid on the floor.
"You're sweating. You might have a case of the slipperies." Said Allura looking at Coran.
"What? No! No, that's an old person virus, and I'm not old. I'm young. Well, young-ish." Said Coran looking a bit sheepish.
"What are the slipperies?" Asked Lana as she and the others look at Allura.
"It's a common Altean virus that occurs later in life. It's not harmful and usually only lasts a couple of days, but it causes one's body to secrete extremely slick fluid." Said Allura and the Paladins back away from Coran in disgust, even the Lion's backed away from Coran.
"Yes, it is gross, so it's a good thing I don't have it!" Said Coran acting he doesn't have the slipperies, and somehow Pidge went to the other side of the Main Bridge and throw up, while her Lion goes to her to make sure she's okay.
"Coran, it's nothing to be embarrassed about." Said Allura smiling at Coran.
"I'm not embarrassed because I don't have it! And, now, I'm actually going to leave because I've got to fix the main turbine!" Said Coran as he was about to leave.
However Coran realized that he wasn't moving at all because of his slipperies as he speed up, he slipped and slid out of the Main Bridge.
"All right. Since Zarkon has no idea where we are, this is the perfect time to focus on our next step." Said Shiro looking at the other who groan a bit. "Maybe we can find that secret group, the Blade of Marmora. Pidge, where are those coordinates?"
"Wait, hang on. I'm so tired, my brain's not working." Said Pidge still exhausted.
"Yeah, neither is mine, I'm still exhausted after we had to fight those cube on Olkarion." Said Lana feeling exhausted as well.
'We all are, Lana.' Said Blue agreeing with her Paladin.
"Hello, all. I've checked the engines." Said Coran through the Main Bridge's hologram screen.
"That was fast." Said Pidge as they saw Coran fell down and got up with a big bump on his head.
"Well, I slipped right down. . . I mean, hurried down. Anyway, the good news is, the Galra fighter did minimal damage. I flushed the turbine and it's fine. The bad news is, the teludav, or wormholer, as you Earthlings call it, is in bad shape. Several scaultrite lens-stones of the magnifying beam generator are cracked." Said Coran as he explain their situation. "As you know, the magnifying beam generator uses a crystal to convert Altean energy into usable fuel. That supplies the power needed to wormhole."
'Wait, what does that mean?' Asked Yellow looking at the other Lion's.
'He mean's that the scaultrite lens-stones helps make the teladuv do wormhole jumps with the magnifying beam generator.' Said Green explaining to Yellow.
'But because some of the lenses are crack when we tried to escape from Zarkon, my guesses that it's going to be impossible to do more wormhole jumps.' Said Blue understanding their situation.
"Well, anyway, I need to remove the cracked lenses and readjust their trajectory temporarily until we can replace them. I'll also need to divert power to make up for the lost energy. Anyway, it's going to take at least a quintant." Said Coran explaining the last part.
"All right. We'll hide the ship and get some rest while Coran comes up with a work-around. Tomorrow, we'll be sharper and refocused." Said Shiro informing the others.
So Allura hide the castle in one of the glaciers and the Paladin's head to their rooms to get some rest, while the Lion's head to their hangers to get some rest as well.
After what seem like hours, the Paladin's all decided to do different activities. Lana stepped into the elevator, wearing her blue two-piece swimsuit and a towel around her neck, of course she still have her grandmother's amulet on. Lana leaned against the wall as the door began to shut, but then a pale hand was stuck through, effectively stopping the door.
Lana look up to see that it was none other than Keith Kogane, he opened the elevator door, also wearing red swim trunks and a towel on his head.
"What are you're doing?" Asked Lana raising an eyebrow.
"Allura said there's a pool. I'm gonna go check it out." Said Keith as he enter the elevator. "What do you think you're doing?"
"Same thing." Said Lana as the elevator door closed.
"Look, you stay on one side of the pool and I'll stay on the other, and we'll be far, far away from each other. Very far away." Said Keith as he look at Lana.
Lana rolled her eyes a bit, as the elevator takes them up to the pool, Keith was glad that the elevator door don't have mirrors, or he would've have to look at Lana's small but cute breasts and her surprisingly sexy small waist, which cause Keith to blush at the thought of it.
"Do you always wear that amulet everywhere?" Asked Keith looking at Lana.
"Yeah, it makes me feel like my family is still close to me, I always wear it everyday and in any special occasions." Said Lana smiling at her amulet.
Keith saw how Lana smiled at her amulet and realized that she still missed her family, but he knew that they're still close in her heart as long as she still has her amulet. Suddenly the elevator jolted and the lights went off, shocking Keith and Lana, till they realized that Coran said he was gonna shut down some other systems while he worked, and they groan a bit.
Meanwhile at the kitchen, Hunk was baking some cookies in the oven, while Pidge is sitting on the island, and the Green and Yellow Lion were laying on the floor. Hunk pulled out a tray from the oven which had six large, round blue discs on it.
"I thought you were exhausted. Why are you making cookies?" Asked Pidge looking at Hunk with a confused look.
"Because baking clears my head, Pidge. Okay?" Said Hunk as he lay the tray of cookies on the island. "I thought you were gonna help Coran with the wormholer."
"One mention of the slipperies and he got all sensitive and kicked me out." Said Pidge as she picked up the blue Altean box.
'Seriously, Coran needs to stop being sensitive, and just admit he has the slipperies.' Said Yellow rolling his eyes.
'Well, you know Coran, he's just too proud to admit it.' Said Green looking at Yellow.
"I hate not being able to read Altean. What is this stuff? Are you sure you're making food?" Asked Pidge looking a bit skeptical of the cookies Hunk made.
"You're gonna try and tell me that these aren't cookies?" Said Hunk as he picked up one cookie.
However as soon as Hunk takes a bite out of the cookie, he felt a tooth chip, he dropped the cookie onto the tray and held back a scream as he kicked the counter, beginning to walk in circles as he flapped his hands, trying to get his body to ignore the small, but sharp pain.
"Okay, I might have overcooked them." Said Hunk groaning in pain as Pidge got up and leave the room with Green by her side. "Wait, where you going? You don't want to wait for the next batch?"
'I'm pretty sure she doesn't want to get her teeth chipped like you, Hunk.' Said Yellow looking at his Paladin.
Meanwhile at the elevator, Lana and Keith had their backs pressed together, arms linked as they used their weight to balance themselves and slowly climb up the shaft. But somehow they had just slipped and slid a foot or so, which scared them both as they were at least ten feet up.
"It's right, then left. You're off." Said Keith frowning at Lana.
"You're off! And shoving too hard!" Said Lana pushing on Keith roughly.
"You're not shoving hard enough!" Said Keith pushing Lana back.
"I should be at the pool right now!" Said Lana groaning a bit.
"Would you stop whining, will get there." Said Keith as he look up and saw something. "Huh? Look!"
Lana look up to see a large vent above them, they both look at each other and smile knowing they have the same idea. So after climbing ip for a few more minutes, they were right at the vent. Then Keith kicked it open, as he and Lana were in the vent and began sliding through it. Keith has his arms behind his head, but Lana scream in horror as they slid down the vent.
Then as soon as they got out of the vent, they fell to the ground. Thankfully it was only a few feet so it wasn't a rough drop, and somehow Lana fell right on top of Keith, as she got up she notice her hands are on Keith's chest and they both look at each and blush a bit.
"Uh. . . Okay so. . . Ahem. . . Let's not discuss this to the others." Said Lana as she got up, and help Keith up.
"Agreed, we will never hear the end of it." Said Keith blushing as well.
"Well, at least we're at the pool now, so I'm going for a swim." Said Lana as she saw the pool.
The pool was so huge and the walls were a soft white with artificial skylights that created UV lights around the pool. So as Lana puts down her towel, she jumps into the pool and began to swim while splashing. Keith smile a bit as he sit on the edge of the pool and stick his legs in the water, as he relax at the cool sensation of the water.
While Keith relaxed in the pool, the kind words what Lana said about the Galra are related to them by the same cosmic dust, still goes on in his brain and he blushed a bit at Lana's purity and kindness, he never knew that Lana was so kind-hearted, at first he always see her as a cocky flirtatious person, but she somehow reveal another part of her that was so beautiful to him, and he ever wonder if he'll ever have the courage to tell Lana how he feel.
However a while have went by, as Keith sat on the edge of the pool, however he noticed that he couldn't hear or see Lana swimming about as he did about what seem like thirty minutes ago.
"Lana? Lana?" Asked Keith looking around and he began to panic. "Lana?!"
Then as Keith he rose to his feet, without thinking, Keith jumped into the water. However as he went deeper in the water he remembered he couldn't swim. With the water up to his neck, Keith started to panic as he couldn't stay afloat. Keith's head almost went under when he felt arms carry him back to the pool. Keith coughed the little water out of his lungs and clung on to who he now realized was Lana carrying him out of the water, and sat him on the edge. Lana jumped and shook her head softly, water splashing onto Keith.
"You scared me, Lana!" Shouted Keith as he smacked Lana on her arm. "Where the hell were you!?"
"You can't swim?" Asked Lana in surprise.
"No!" Shouted Keith glaring at Lana. "Did it look like I could?"
"But you live in Texas!" Said Lana in confusion. "Shouldn't you know how to swim?"
"I may live in Texas, but I never went to a pool before." Said Keith rolling his eyes. "And besides, I never knew how to swim."
"Yet, you still tried to save me." Said Lana in amazement. "You put my safety over your own."
"Yeah, and all I get is soaking wet!" Said Keith as he tried to dry himself. "But seriously, where were you, I thought you drown!"
"Oh, so I forgot to tell you." Said Lana blushing in embarrassment.
"What?" Asked Keith in confusion.
"When we got separated after trying to rescue Allura from Zarkon, and me and Hunk were at that mermaid planet, I got my air bubble popped, but for some reason, I was able to breathe underwater great." Said Lana explaining to Keith.
"Wait. . . Are you saying that. . . You can breathe underwater?" Asked Keith in shock.
"Yeah. I talked to Allura about it and at first she didn't understand it, but she believes that some I'm deeply connected to the element of my Lion, I guess it means I can breathe underwater, which is cool." Said Lana smiling a bit, and she still see's Keith's shock face. "But still, I guess I should've told you before."
"Yeah, maybe you should've told me." Said Keith frowning at Lana.
"Let me make it up to you, I can teach you how to swim." Said Lana smiling at Keith.
"Really, you teach me?" Asked Keith in shock.
"Of course Keith, it's the least I could do to make it up." Said Lana smiling at Keith, course Keith blush deeply and thought for second.
"Okay." Said Keith smiling at Lana. "Teach me to swim."
Meanwhile, Pidge is at the training deck with Green and Rover with her, as she turn on the computer to learn more about the Altean language.
"Welcome to introductory Altean." Said the computer as it turn on.
"Awesome! I'm finally gonna learn the Altean language!" Said Pidge smiling at the computer.
'Just be careful of what you say Pidge.' Said Green looking at her Paladin.
"Level, beginner. Safety, off." Said the computer.
"Safety? That's weird." Said Pidge in confusion.
'Oh boy, this ain't going to be good.' Said Green getting worried.
Then computer began to create a hologram of a bear-like alien as the Altean word is on top of it.
"Klanmüirl." Said the computer.
"Klan-mural." Said Pidge and suddenly the computer heroes in red, confusing her. "Hm? Uh, what's that?"
'Uh Pidge, I think you say something wrong.' Said Green getting worried and suddenly the hologram bear-like alien began to get up and growl at Pidge.
"Klanmüirl." Said the computer repeating what it said.
"Klan-mirl?" Said Pidge and the computer beeped again, shocking Pidge, Green and Rover, and suddenly the bear hologram began to roar at them fiercely. "Klanmüirl! Klanmüirl!"
Suddenly the computer beeped meaning that hologram bear stopped roaring and calmed down as it goes back to its original place and the hologram began to disappear, and Pidge sight in relief, along with Green and Rover. Suddenly the computer beep again as it show a big squid-like alien and different Altean words were on top of the hologram.
"Xznly Squiwl." Said the computer.
"Oh, quiznak." Said Pidge in a worry tone.
'Yeah, you should've put the safety on.' Said Green looking at her Paladin.
Meanwhile at the Main Bridge, Shiro was looking at the logs from their previous fights with Zarkon, wondering what might have allowed them to be followed, when he heard the door open, and he turn to see Allura entering the Main Bridge.
"What are you doing here? You should be resting." Said Shiro as he got up and goes to Allura.
"I cannot sleep. Zarkon is out there. He's searching for us." Said Allura as she began to pull up her own hologram till Shiro gently lay his hand on her hand and disrupting the hologram.
"I know how you feel, but you have to step away for a while. It's what's best for everyone." Said Shiro assuring Allura.
Meanwhile at the pool, Lana was teaching Keith how to swim, and Keith was somehow learning very quickly, as they both swim underwater, course Keith had to hold his breath while Lana can breathe underwater, then they came up to the surface and sit on the edge of the pool.
"See Keith, you could swim well now." Said Lana smiling at Keith.
"Wow Lana, I never thought you were a good teacher on swimming, as a matter of fact, I never knew you were a great swimmer." Said Keith looking at Lana.
"Yeah, I usually enter a few swimming competitions and win a few awards, and I have lived near a beach all my life." Said Lana smiling a bit. "I guess you could say I was always born in the water."
"Oh. . . Well, that's really cool." Said Keith smiling at Lana.
"Thanks, and you know, even though you're a fast learner, I bet I can swim faster than you." Said Lana giving Keith a smirk.
"Oh, you're on, McClain!" Said Keith giving Lana a smirk as well.
Then Lana and Keith both jump into the water and start to race each other to the other side of the pool. Keith was able to swim great, but Lana swim faster underwater, and got to the other edge before Keith could even reach it.
"Ha. . . I win!" Shouted Lana cheering for her victory.
"Ha ha. . . Okay, you win this round, but I'll get you next time." Said Keith smirking at Lana.
"Well, I'm not sure about that, I swim during my childhood, while you just already know how to swim." Said Lana smirking at Keith.
"Oh yeah, I can still take you." Said Keith smirking at Lana.
Keith was about to tackle Lana, but since was still in the water, he almost lost his balance when he tripped, but Lana was able to catch her in her arms, suddenly they got up only for Lana and Keith to face each other closely.
Lana blush a bit as her ocean blue eyes were staring at Keith's violet purple eyes. Keith also blush at how beautiful Lana is up close. Suddenly Keith and Lana both start to lean to each other, and before they know it, their lips were connected to each other as their eyes closed and kissed each other.
Lana has her arms around Keith's neck while Keith has his arms around Lana's waist, pulling her closer to him, after they kissed and pull apart, they both blush as they realize what they just did, as they pull apart from each other.
"Woah. . . What did we just do?" Asked Lana while blushing really hard.
"I think we just kiss. . . And for some reason, I don't hate it." Said Keith admitting about the kiss.
"Yeah, me neither." Said Lana admitting as well. "If anything, it was kinda. . ."
"Nice?" Asked Keith still blushing from the kiss.
"Yeah." Said Lana smiling a bit. "And you know, I've always wanted my first kiss to be nice, and this is amazing."
Keith blushed deeply as he realized that it was Lana's first kiss, and he was the first one. He thought Lana might be disgusted, but instead she found her kiss with him to be amazing, and he started to feel nervous a bit.
"So. . . What now?" Asked Keith looking a bit confused.
"Um. . . We could just swim again and race." Said Lana suggesting the idea.
"Or we can kiss again." Said Keith suggesting his idea.
"Um. . . Okay." Said Lana smiling at Keith.
Keith blushed hard as Lana agree with his idea, till he smile a bit and they both start to lean to each other to kiss as their eyes are close. However just as Lana and Keith were about to kiss, suddenly a loud explosion sound rocked the ship and the alarm blared. Keith hold Lana close to him as they were shocked and a bit horrified.
"What was that?!" Asked Lana in shock.
"I think we're being attacked!" Said Keith in horrified realization.
At the kitchen, Hunk spilled his cookies from the tray he got out from the oven, even Yellow was shaken from the explosion. And at the training deck, the computer shut off the hologram of the squid-like alien, just as it look like it was about to eat Pidge, while Green and Rover tried to help Pidge. And the three were shock that the computer just shut off as they feel the explosion as well.
Meanwhile back at the Main Bridge of the Castle of Lions, Shiro and Allura both experienced the explosion and the alarm blaring as the images of Zarkon's fleet were shooting at the castle and saw Zarkon's Central Command Center ship on top of them.
"We are several galaxies away. How could they find us so soon?" Asked Allura in shock as she ran to her post while Shiro rush to his station and she activate the particle barrier. "Particle barrier! Up! Coran, are you there?"
"I'm here! Over here! Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Said Coran through the hologram's com links as he kept slipping.
"Zarkon is back! What's our status?" Asked Allura looking horrified.
"Wormholing will be a problem. The lenses haven't been readjusted! I don't know if the teludav will generate enough power." Said Coran informing Allura.
"Do everything you can!" Said Allura instructing the Altean Adviser.
Then the other four Paladins came running in the Main Bridge with their Lions following them. Hunk in his baking apron, Pidge in her normal attire, and Keith and Lana are still in their swimsuits.
"They found us again? How is that possible? Is that possible? That doesn't seem possible!" Said Lana panicking while she sits in her station.
'I know, there's no way Zarkon can find us that fast!' Said Blue panicking as well.
"Right now, we must figure out a way to get out of here." Said Allura informing the Paladins.
"Or we can stay and fight. Now's our chance. Form Voltron. Enough running!" Said Keith suggesting his idea.
'Yeah, why run when we can fight Zarkon now!' Said Red growling at Zarkon's ship.
"It's too dangerous!" Said Allura telling Keith.
"Allura's right. We can't take on Zarkon and his entire fleet. Remember what happened at Zarkon's command center. We wouldn't have escaped if the Blade of Marmora hadn't shut down the shield." Said Shiro reminding the Paladins.
"The turbine's up. Still working on the worm. . ." Said Coran when he suddenly slipped and fell to the ground. "Uh, guys, I think I'm realizing now that I do, in fact, have a case of the slipperies."
'Oh geez, now he finally admits it.' Said Green rolling her eyes and Coran climbed back up.
"I'm sorry I yelled at you, Pidge. I may need your help, after all." Said Coran through the hologram com links.
"I'm coming down." Said Pidge as she ran out with Rover and Green following behind her as always.
"Let's clear a path." Said Shiro instructing Lana and Keith.
Then Lana and Keith began to attack the Galra fleet with their drones while Allura piloted the castle away from Zarkon's fighters, as she trying her best to avoid them as they navigated through the massive ice field.
"Lana, there's a fighter advancing on your nine!" Shouted Keith warning Lana.
"Thanks for the heads-up! And you've got one going for the lower barrier." Said Lana warning Keith as well.
"Good eye!" Said Keith as he and Lana blasted the Galra fighters.
"Okay, buddy, you're mine." Said Lana as she was about to shoot at the Galra fighter till her holographic displays disappeared. "What's going on? I lost control of my defense drone!"
"I got you covered!" Said Keith till his his holographic displays disappeared as well. "Uh, I don't got you. Oh, there must be a system failure."
"Nope, that was us! We're diverting power from non-essential systems to get the wormhole generator working." Said Pidge from the hologram com link explaining what she and Coran are doing.
"Shooting bad guys is pretty essential!" Shouted Lana not liking what Pidge and Coran are doing.
"We lost secondary controls! Thermal regulator's offline! Oh, no, there goes the particle barrier!" Shouted Hunk as the particle barrier got shut off.
"Okay, try it! We should be able to make one very small jump I hope." Said Coran through the com links.
"Is it gonna hold?" Asked Pidge looking at Coran.
"I guess we're about to find out." Said Coran with a worried look.
Then Allura activating the teludav. They all held on as she steered them through the wormhole, but somehow the lenses began to crack even more.
"Oh, no! The lenses are breaking down even more! We'll be out of the wormhole even sooner this time!" Said Coran with a worried look on his face.
Then the Castle of Lions exited out of the wormhole very quickly, coming out near a giant metallic storm. Everyone sighed as Allura was leaning heavily on her posts, Keith slumped over in his seat, while Lana had her knees close to her chest, even the Lions lay next to their Paladins looking a bit worried.
"Zarkon keeps finding us. It's like... he knows how to track us down. Maybe he planted some kind of tracking device." Said Shiro looking at the others.
"Well, it is nothing on the ship. The Castle would have detected any tracking devices." Said Allura looking over the scanners.
"Until we figure out exactly how he's doing it, we should assume that he could show up at any minute. So, stay alert." Said Shiro informing the others.
Suddenly they all heard a snore sound and they all turned to see that the obnoxious snoring was coming from Hunk and Yellow. Hunk snored so loudly that woke up with a jolt.
"Oh, man! Oh, what's going on? What are you guys doing? What are you looking at?" Asked Hunk as he stammered a bit.
"You woke yourself up snoring." Said Keith grumbling a bit.
"My bad." Said Hunk in embarrassment.
"Coran, what's our status? Any good news?" Asked Shiro communicating with Coran through the Castle's hologram com links.
"Actually, there is a bit of good news. I'm finally getting used to these slipperies. My mucus glands are working at an incredible rate!" Said Coran as he glide around like a professional iceskater.
"Any good news about the teludav?" Asked Shiro looking a bit annoyed.
"I'm afraid not. The last jump overloaded the lens-stones. Now, even more of them are broken. I'm going to try some readjustments to change the beam trajectory. Until then, wormholing away will be impossible." Said Coran informing the others.
"Hey, there's a giant metallic storm ahead of us. I think we can hide in the eye of the storm. It should give off enough interference so we can't be tracked." Said Pidge pointing out the storm.
"It's worth a shot." Said Shiro going with Pidge's idea.
So Allura steered the Castle of Lions down to the storm, as they were resting on the center of it, surrounded by the metallic storm, lighting and thunder crashing just outside.
"Brilliant, Pidge. We're essentially invisible to any radar, radio waves, universal scans, or any other known technology." Said Allura till suddenly the alarms began blaring and Zarkon found them again. "No."
Soon enough, small fighter ships began to descend into the storm. Of course, a small number of the Galra Fighter were blown off course and ended up shredded because of the storm, but there were still plenty coming for them.
"Okay, I don't know how he found us, but it definitely wasn't with normal instruments." Said Pidge informing the others.
'How does Zarkon keep finding us?!' Asked Blue in a worry tone.
"It's me." Said Allura causing everyone to look at her. "It's been me all along. That's how they found us on planet Arus."
"It doesn't matter, Princess. We're in this together. We're gonna get out together." Said Shiro looking determined.
"Uh, how? We're trapped." Asked Keith looking at Shiro
"We need to form Voltron and go through the storm." Said Shiro informing the others.
"The storm? What are you, nuts?" Asked Lana in shock.
"Yeah! What do you mean? Yeah, why would we do that?" Asked Hunk in horror.
"It's risky, I know, but it's our only chance. We have to go through the storm, then lure Zarkon's ship away, giving Allura some time to get into open space." Said Shiro telling his idea.
"Then, what?" Asked Allura looking at Shiro.
"Then, we wormhole away. Coran, remember how you said getting this Castle to wormhole is impossible? Well, I need you to do the impossible." Said Shiro informing Coran.
So the Paladin's began to head to their Lion's hangers, as they are all dressed in their Paladin armors, and they launch the Lions out of the Castle of Lions and formed Voltron.
"Team, let's draw those fighters out!" Said Shiro as Voltron began cutting down a couple of fighters, catching their attention before they flew into the storm. "I think it's working! They're following us! How's it coming, Coran?"
"In order for this to work, each remaining lens-stone will need to take the equivalent of five beams! There's no way it can hold that kind of power! The whole thing will explode!" Said Coran explaining to Shiro.
"They can't follow us in this storm! It's tearing them apart! The debris! It's gonna tear us apart if we don't do something! Pidge, we're gonna need that shield!" Said Shiro instructing Pidge.
"On it!" Said Pidge as she activates the shield.
"And, Keith, the sword!" Said Shiro instructing Keith.
"Yes, sir!" Said Keith as he activates the sword.
"Legs, I need everything you got!" Said Shiro instructing Hunk and Lana.
"Roger! Engaging lower thrusters!" Said Hunk activating the legs.
"I'm right there with ya!" Said Lana helping Hunk.
So the Paladins began working in together as they all fight against the storm and the Galra Fighter, as they slowly lift themselves out of the storm.
Meanwhile at Zarkon's Central Command Center ship, Zarkon was working himself in a bloodied frenzy as he saw Voltron out of the storm.
"Get me closer to the Black Lion." Said Zarkon commanding Haggar.
"Sire, we have the Princess trapped. We can finish her now!" Said Haggar arguing with Zarkon.
"The Black Lion is all that matters!" Shouted Zarkon glaring at Haggar and so the witch obey his command.
As Zarkon's ship goes after Voltron, it give Allura to drive the Castle of Lions away from the metallic storm. The Paladins are glad that Allura was able to escape, but suddenly the Paladins began to feel a foreboding presence as Voltron stopped.
"What's going on?" Asked Keith in shock.
"My lion!" Shouted Hunk in horror.
"Zarkon. . ." Said Shiro groaning through his gritted teeth. "Zarkon's taking control of the Black Lion again!"
"Fall back!" Shouted Keith as they tried to escape but they couldn't break free from Zarkon's control.
However as soon as Zarkon was almost close to getting Voltron, suddenly the Castle of Lions shoot their thrusters at Zarkon's ship, just enough for Voltron to be release from Zarkon's hold.
"Paladins, now's your chance! Get out of there!" Shouted Allura as Voltron flew away from Zarkon's ship.
"I forgot how intense Zarkon's connection to the Black Lion is. We have to keep our distance, or risk losing Voltron. Let's disband and get back to the Castle." Shouted Shiro as the Paladins separated into five and enter the Castle of Lions, as it flew away when Zarkon's ship starts to chase it.
"Why haven't we wormholed yet?" Asked Keith in shock.
"Because we can't! We're missing several scaultrite lens-stones! They've shattered! Gone! Don't exist! Sloven-day-ho! That's Altean for "gone."" Said Coran replying to Keith.
"Wait, did you say "scaultrite"? I've seen that somewhere before. I think Hunk was making some terrible cookies from that stuff!" Said Pidge causing Hunk to growl in anger.
'Hey, she's not wrong, hunk.' Said Yellow to his Paladin.
So the Paladins and the Lion's all went to the kitchen as Allura remained on the Main Bridge to hold off Zarkon. Coran grabbed one of the cookies and held it up, taking a small eyepiece and peering through it.
"Unbelievable! These cookies do have trace elements of scaultrite." Said Coran scanning the cookies.
"Could they work?" Asked Shiro looking at the Altean Adviser.
"They might be able to hold for one jump, but we'd still need several people actually physically holding them." Said Coran telling the Paladins. "And, if the trajectories were calculated just so."
A few minutes later, Coran had put the Paladins all in strange and difficult positions inside the teladuv, as they all held the crystals wherever they could hold them.
"It just warms my heart that people are enjoying my cookies." Said Hunk smiling as Coran stuck a cookie between his feet, which were held up in the air.
"Okay, there. Now, nobody move if you want to live." Said Coran as the castle rumbled.
"I think I moved! I think I moved!" Shouted Lana panicking.
"Well, then move back to where you think you were!" Said Coran informing Lana as he head out of the teladuv. "Okay, now, I'm going to monitor the beam from out there."
"Wait, Coran! How dangerous is this?" Asked Hunk sounding nervous.
"Honestly, this is the most dangerous thing I've ever seen, or heard of, but since we're probably going to die anyway, what the heck, let's give it a shot! Good luck, gentlemen and gentlelady. It's been a pleasure. Don't touch the lasers!" Said Coran as the door shut and he saluted them, leaving them alone in the dark, and Coran contact Allura. "They're in position!"
Suddenly, there was a bright light in front of them at the end of the teludav as Allura began to create a wormhole.
"We're gonna die! We're gonna die! We're gonna die!" Said Lana in horror.
"Hold tight, Lana!" Said Pidge assuring Lana.
So the Paladins all held their breath as the tube lit up and hit the first scaultrite cookie Lana is holding, but then the light faded.
"It's not working!" Shouted Coran in horror.
"Coran, what's happening? Zarkon's right on top of us!" Shouted Allura warning Coran.
"The stones aren't reflecting properly! I need something to shine them up!" Said Coran till he looked at his slipperies. "Oh. . . Wait a second. I think I've got it. Hit the wormhole in ten ticks!"
So Allura began to count down from ten, as Coran opened the door and ran forward inside the teladuv, using his slipperiness to speed to the front.
"What's happening?" Asked Hunk looking at the Altean Adviser.
"No one move! I've got to shine these stones! Good thing I've got a case of the slipperies!" Said Coran in confidence.
Then as Coran turned around, he moved with surprising grace as he wiped down the cookies, coating them in a slimy, reflective liquid. As Allura kept counting, she watch as Zarkon's ship lowered further and further, and Allura hoped that as she reached 'one' and began to create a new wormhole.
Just as the teludav began to glow again and the lasers began to bounce, Coran managed to shine the last cookie between Hunk's feet before sliding into between the scaultrite crystals, as the tube was filled with a blinding blue light.
Up on the bridge, Allura opened up a wormhole in front of her and she wasted no time flying the castle into it. A couple of ticks later, Allura sighed as they came out the other side, nothing around them but emptiness. Then she head to the teladuv as she opened the door.
"Great work, team! We made it!" Said Allura's smiling till she gasp in confusion.
Allura froze in confusion as she finds all five Paladins frozen in place and singed as they all groan in pain, but they were alive which is a good thing, and Lana fell from her spot on top with a groan. Even Coran was singed a bit. But the good thing is that the Paladin's, the Lion's, and the two Altean's are able to escape from Zarkon.
