After saving the Tuajeer's from the Galra attack and located them saved from their planet to theit nearest moon, the Paladin's have finally figured out that Zarkon is tracking them through the Black Lion.
"Okay, look. I now know for certain that Zarkon is tracking us through the Black Lion." Said Shiro looking at the others.
"I don't understand, how's that even possible Zarkon is tracking us through the Black Lion?" Asked Hunk in confusion. "I mean, your the Black Lion's Paladin now Shiro, how can Zarkon still have his bond with the Black Lion for 10,000 years?"
"My guesses is that because Zarkon was the first Black Paladin of the Black Lion and has been alive for 10,000 years, he must've found a way to keep his bond with Black going on and make it stronger than Shiro's." Said Lana pointing out the situation.
"Lana's right, we have to find some way to stop him." Said Shiro looking at the others.
"How are we gonna do that?" Asked Pidge in confusion.
"We've never had this situation before. Two paladins battling for the same lion." Said Allura worrying about their situation.
"Well, unless we want Zarkon taking control of Voltron every time we get close, I'll have to forge a new bond with my lion. One that's stronger than his." Said Shiro looking determined.
"Well, while you're working on that, the rest of us need to find some new teludav lenses otherwise we won't be able to travel via wormhole." Said Coran reminding them about the crack lenses in the teladuv.
"Is that something we have to mail order?" Asked Hunk looking at the two Alteans.
"Does anyone even make those anymore?" Asked Keith in confusion.
"I don't know. Only a few Alteans could use the teludav 10,000 ago. They may not exist anymore." Said Allura admitting it might be difficult.
"I think I may know where we can get some." Said Coran getting an idea.
Then Coran went to the Main Bridge's console and pulled up some pictures of four-armed people in colourful clothes, often wielding swords. There was even a selfie Coran had taken, looking much younger, with King Alfor laughing in the background.
"Coran! You're not suggesting going to one of those filthy swap moons! The last time you went, those space pirates took you for everything you had." Said Allura crossing her arms and frowning at Coran.
"Space pirates?" Asked Lana in confusion.
"The Unilu were traders and pirates that roamed the galaxies and dealt in black market goods. Umvy spice, by-tor water, little bottles of infinity vapor." Said Coran as he brought up a few items on the screen as examples.
'What Coran is saying is that the Unilu are known to be intense traders with unmatched bargaining skills.' Said Blue explaining to Lana.
'They have the capability to manipulate deals for full profit and trick unskilled merchants.' Said Green looking at Pidge.
"Of course, you had to bargain. No one could bargain like the Unilu. Last time, I ended up giving away three quarters of my shipment of lango in exchange for a used pogo oscillator." Said Coran as he and Allura laugh a bit.
"Father was not pleased about that." Said Allura smiling at the memory.
'Yeah, I remember how upset Alfor was when Coran made that trade, although it was kinda funny to watch.' Said Red chuckling a bit.
"Well, while Coran is picking up his lenses, maybe we could have some girl time and shop for something sparkly." Said Lana smiling at Allura till Coran cut between them and cast Lana a glare.
"This isn't shopping! You're not wandering around saying "Oooo What a lovely pink hat! This is so becoming." Said Coran on a frilly tone till he looked serious. "No! I can't allow Allura to get anywhere near those filthy, lowballing Unilu hoodlums."
"But I'd love something sparkly." Said Allura giving Coran pleading eyes.
"Look, you're the only one who can operate the Castle. You need to be resting, after all you've been through." Said Coran and Allura frown in defeat. "Now, let's ready a pod for our mission. We need to get in find the scaultrite lenses, and just get out."
"Shotgun!" Shouted Lana as she started running ahead.
"What? No, you have to be in the pod bay to call shotgun." Said Hunk as he started running after her.
"Since when?" Said Lana scoffing.
"Uhh since forever? That's shotgun etiquette! I wrote the book." Said Hunk as Pidge and Keith follow them.
"While they're doing that, I'm going to head down to the hangar. I need to strengthen my bond with the Black Lion." Said Shiro as he and Black both head to the Black Lion's hanger, leaving Allura all alone in the Main Bridge.
"So what am I supposed to do now, sit around and worry all day?" Asked Allura till the mice came up to her shoulders and one squeaked. "What? Dinner and a show?"
'Let's all stay here with Allura to keep her company, besides, I could use a dinner and a show after that battle we had.' Said Blue to Red, Green, and Yellow.
Meanwhile at the Black Lion's hanger, Shiro is standing in from of the Black Lion's mechanical body, while Black's physical form is next to Shiro, and Shiro look's at his Lion.
"You and I have some work to do, Black." Said Shiro looking at his Lion.
'Then we better get started.' Said Black as he enter his spirit in his mechanical body.
So Shiro enter his Lion as he sit on his seat of the cockpit, and he took a deep breath as his eyes are closed
"Work with me. What do I have to do to strengthen our bond?" Asked Shiro to his Lion.
'I think maybe it'll be better if I show you, than tell you.' Said Black as he started his engines.
"Whoa! Hey! What are you doing?" Asked Shiro and suddenly the Black Lion ejects from the castle and fly somewhere in deep space. "Stop. Stop! I said stop! Turn around. That's an order!"
However no matter what Shiro says or tries hard to control the thrusters, the Black Lion didn't listen and kept on flying to wherever it's going.
About fifteen minutes later, the rest of team Voltron was squished inside one of the small pods heading for the swamp moon. Lana and Coran were at the front seats while the rest of the team members were grumbling at the back at the lack of space they had.
Hunk had a pout on his face and was glaring at the wall in front of him. While Keith looks uncomfortable. Pidge looked ready to strangle someone where she sat squished next to Hunk.
"Hello? Back passengers? Can you hear me?" Said Coran through the speakers.
"Oh, it's so comfy up here. Extra leg-room, heated seats! Oh, man!" Said Lana with a laugh.
"Stupid Lana. Stupid shotgun." Said Hunk mumbling under his breath.
"Now, these swap moons are very dangerous environments. So be on your toes." Said Coran through the speakers. "No weapons or communication devices of any kind! Also, I've brought along some disguises."
Everyone's eyes shot up at that and they looked at each other with a wince.
After arriving at the swap moon and park their pod, Coran gave the Paladins their disguise and they start to put them on.
Coran has an eye patch covered his other eye, his normally smoothed orange hair was spiked up and he was wearing a black and gray trench coat.
Hunk had shoulder blades with spikes on it, his face covered by hockey mask, and wearing kneepads with spikes on them as well.
Pidge had a gas mask covering her whole face and a bandana wrapped around her head, covering her brown hair. She was wearing shorts while her legs were wrapped in bandages.
Keith was wearing half a mask that covered his eyes, a brown cloak and spiky shoulder pads.
Lana had been given some fake glasses and a tan cloaks covering her whole body. A blue bandana was wrapped around her head, obscuring her hair from everyone.
After getting their disguises on, Coran led the Paladins to the entrance, and in moments, they stood at the top of some stairs. However the swap moon was not like how Coran and Allura described it.
The swap moon is basically like a futuristic, sci-fi mall with dozens of floors filled with glowing shops and restaurants, moving walkways, directories, large water fountains that danced and moved, small green spaces, hologram advertisements, and even soft jazz music.
"Coran? This Unilu swap meet looks an awful lot like a regular mall." Said Pidge as her muffled voice was heard through the gas mask she's wearing.
"It does seem to be a little cleaner than I remember." Said Coran tapping his chin and turn the the others. "Still, be vigilant. The Unilu are cut-throat wheeler-dealers. So keep your hands on your coin satchels."
"My satchels are empty." Said Hunk lifting his hands and turning his body around to look at the satchels attached to his hips.
"Good." Said Coran crossing his arms.
"Let's just get this over with." Said Keith letting out a dramatic sigh.
"Yes, right. Everyone, let's fan out, search the area for teludav lenses." Said Coran as he turned his head and pointed at an object in the distance. "We'll meet by the giant ticking clock here in one vaga. Don't be late, and try to blend in."
Coran stepped away and made his way to the farthest stores in the mall. As soon as he was gone, the four paladins shared a glance and slowly began to rid themselves of their disguises and dumped them into the closest trashcan.
However somewhere deep inside the mall, inside a security room, a chubby security guard sat in front of the holograms, munching on his take-out lunch. Suddenly, some movement at the north-western entrance and it zoomed in to the Paladins stuffing their disguises into the trash bins and adjusting their casual clothing.
"What the? Space pirates!" Shouted the security glaring at the screen and smirk. "Disguising yourselves as harmless shoppers, huh? Well, it won't work."
Then the security guard went to his locker to get his wallow talkie, and he also had a poster of Zarkon inside it.
"Don't worry, Emperor Zarkon. I know you can't be here to protect the mall but your faithful number two is on the case." Said the security as he adjust his wallow talkie and badge. "Hope you pirates are ready to face Varkon."
Meanwhile back at deep space, the Black Lion kept on flying somewhere, while Shiro tries harder to control the Lion.
"Come on!" Shouted Shiro grunting hard at the thrusters. "Look, I don't know where you're headed but you need to start listening to me right now!"
Suddenly just as Shiro instructed, the Black Lion started to slow down, as he arrive a part of space where asteroids were floating.
"That's better." Said Shiro till he realized that the Black Lion stopped at a dead planet. "Where are we? Why did you bring me here? What are you trying to tell me?"
'If you wish to know Shiro, you must look through my eyes.' Said Black in Shiro's head.
"So you want me to see through your eyes." Said Shiro understand what his Lion want him to do.
So Shiro took a deep breath as he closed his eyes and found himself looking through the Black Lion's eyes, suddenly the planet in front of him changed into a bright, crimson and violet planet that looked almost like a comet with a tail, and saw the planet's atmosphere as Galra ships were flying above a city where Black is standing in the center with Zarkon and Alfor in front of him.
"Was this your home?" Asked Shiro in shock.
'Yes it was, it was also known to be the home planet of the Galra, where Zarkon live before.' Said Black in sadness and Shiro can feel Black's sadness.
Meanwhile back at the swap moon mall, Hunk was hanging out on one of the moving walkways, looking at the hundreds of shops around him.
"Okay, if I were a 10,000-year-old wormhole lens, where would I be?" Said Hunk as he look around.
Just then, he saw an older woman coming the opposite way with a small alien in front of her and Hunk waved at them and goes up to them.
"Excuse me, hey, hi, excuse me, hi! Wow, you guys are really booking here. So I was just wondering if you guys knew where I could find some lenses for my ship around here?" Asked Hunk but the two aliens ignored him and walk past him faster. "Is there a one-hour lens place around here or something? Anything? Nothing? Never mind, you know what? I'll catch up with you guys later!"
Hunk rode the sidewalk to the end and took a deep breath, then he looked up and gasp in amazement as he find himself in a large, open area with lots of tables and the smell of deep-fried food, in other words, he had found the food court.
"Oh! This is beautiful!" Said Hunk smiling like he was in paradise.
So Hunk began on getting some free samples in the floating platters, the first food sample Hunk tried was rubbery, the second food sample was sweet and salty, the third food sample was cold, but spicy. However as he got to the fourth food sample, which was a purple blob, he eat it but it kinda taste bland.
"Mmm, eh. . . What's next, what do you got?" Asked Hunk as he looked around.
"Five hundred GAC." Said a male voice causing Hunk to turn to the buff Galra guy in scruffy clothes and an apron holding the tray.
"Five hundred GAC. . . Excuse me?" Asked Hunk in confusion.
"Sustenance provided by Vrepit Sal, that's me. Five hundred GAC is now owed." Said Sal and hold out his hand to expect Hunk to pay.
"Oh, I thought this was a "free sample" situation." Said Hunk realizing his mistake.
"Free?" Asked Sal frowning at Hunk.
"Of charge. You know, gratis?" Said Hunk nervously at Sal. "Look, I don't have any money. So, you know."
Hunk smiles nervously at Sal, and before Hunk could even contemplate what was happening, he had electric cuffs slapped on his ankles and then to the sink.
"Oh, man!" Said Hunk frowning and he turn to see a old blue woman with a large pile of white hair sat on the floor in rags. "How long you been here?"
"Sal put me in when I was just a little girl." Said the old lady while washing the dishes.
"Oh, no!" Said Hunk in horror knowing that he's in trouble.
Meanwhile with Keith, found himself at a small demonstration, a purple Unilu man in a hat tossing around some kitchen knives to cheery music.
"Let me show you this wonderful workings of the Galasu X-90 Extreme Blade System. It slices, it dices, it kills, slaughters, and skins and constantly stays razor sharp!" Said the Knife Seller explaining about the knife and picks up a weird-like fruit. "Look at it cut through this bloato fruit."
Then the knife seller throw the bloato fruit up in the air, then just as it was about to fall back down, the knife seller cut the fruit in the 'paper-thin' pieces.
"Paper thin. How much would you pay for this knife? But wait, there's more!" Asked the knife seller and Keith raised an eyebrow till the knife seller picks up a rock. "How many times have you had to fight off a charging rock monster and then go immediately to a picnic? All the time, right? The Galasu can cut through rocks and still cut bloato fruit paper thin."
Sure enough, a sliver of the rock was cut through, right in the centre. It looked impressive, and he picked up another bloato fruit and cut it 'paper-thin' again.
"Now how much would you pay?" Asked the knife seller but two aliens began to walk away, but Keith stayed. "Seriously, how much? I have a lot of these to unload."
"I just had a question." Said Keith looking at the knife seller.
"Fine! What do you got?" Asked the knife seller looking at Keith.
"Have you ever come across something like this?" Asked Keith handing the knife seller his knife.
"Whoa, this craftsmanship is incredible! And is this a luxite blade?" Said the knife seller examining the blade. "The planet they mine that from hasn't existed in decafebes. Where'd you get this?"
"Someone gave it to me." Said Keith not wanting to say that his mother gave him the blade.
"Okay, that's vague. Tell you what I'll give you 1,000 GAC to take it off your hands." Said the knife seller smirking at Keith.
"It's not for sale." Said Keith frowning at him.
"Two thousand." Said the knife seller trying to raise up the price.
"No, thanks. Give it back." Said Keith glaring at the knife seller.
"How about this? I keep the knife and you beat it before security gets here. I know it's stolen." Said the knife seller smirking at Keith.
"It's not stolen." Said Keith in anger.
"Then tell me where you got it." Said the knife seller smirking at Keith.
Suddenly Keith ended up grabbing the wrist in which the knife was held, trying to wrestle it back. Then the knife seller grabbed one of the knives on the table and tried to stab at Keith, but he blocked it with his own blade. They continued for a couple of moves before Keith jabbed his stomach, shocking him enough to get his knife back and run off.
"Hey! Come back with that!" Shouted the knife seller pressing a button under the counter which alerts the security guard.
Meanwhile with Lana, she wasn't having much luck for herself. There was like a dozen of stores, at each floor. She see's that the mall has every store: clothing, accessory, pet, weapons, survival gear, grocery, even a sex store, which Lana blush at the sight of it. Then as Lana kept looking around, she stopped at a store that caught her attention.
As she enter the store, she saw that it has everything: clothes for both male and females, accessories and makeup, there were even other things, such as books, games, music cd's, and other things.
"Wow, now this is what I call a store." Said Lana smiling a bit. "Reminds me of my favorite store back home."
"Hello, can I help you today?" Asked a female voice and Lana turned around.
The person who had spoken was clearly an Unilu salesperson – she had soft blue skin with four arms and slightly pointed ears. The Unilu is a female as she has long straight lavender hair, soft smoky eye, she's wearing a simple white dress, gold bracelets on each of her wrists, and white ankle boots.
"Oh hello." Said Lana smiling at the Unilu salesgirl. "I'm looking for some scaultrite crystals, I was wondering if you have some?"
"Scaultrite crystals. . . I've never heard of it before. Lemme ask my manager to see if we do, and he's in his office, but feel free to look around." Said the unilu salesgirl smiling at Lana.
"Sure, thank you." Said Lana smiling at Unilu girl.
The Unilu salesgirl then began to go at the back of the store, leaving Lana alone aside from one other worker and a couple of other customers. After a moment, Lana began to look around. Lana was impressed to see some clothes that are stylish for both male and females, there were even some music's and books that interested him. Lana began observing and trying in some outfits that caught her interest in the changing room, and she had a favorite from a few outfits she likes while she changed back into her original outfit.
As she exit out the changing room, suddenly her amulet began to glow brightly, which got her shock, and starts to follow where her amulet shines brightly, as she come to a completely stop, her amulet stopped glowing as Lana look to see what's in front of her.
In front of her was a book that's brown with a gold design around the edges, in the center is a blue gem that's the similar color to Lana's amulet, and there were golden words on the top that are in a different language but for some shocking reason, Lana can read them.
"Hmm. . . 'History, Culture, Legend, and Stories of Elvendale.' This seem like an interesting book." Said Lana looking at the book.
As Lana picks up the book, a piece of rolled-up paper fell to the ground, catching Lana's attention as she picks it up, and unrolls it to see that it was a map from a different place, but somehow Lana's amulet glow a bit, causing Lana to get curious.
"Hmm. . . Interesting map." Said Lana till someone tap her shoulder and she turn to see the unilu salesgirl.
"I'm so sorry, I'm afraid we don't have any scaultrite or we know what it is." Said the unilu salesgirl returning.
"It's okay, it's used in a teludav to generate wormholes, so I figure ever used them for 10,000 years." Said Lana understanding the situation.
"Fair enough. So, is there anything else I can help you with?" Asked the unilu salesgirl smiling at Lana.
"You know. . ." Said Lana showing the salesgirl the book and map. "I found this book and map that caught my attention, and I want to know if it's on sale?"
"Oh, this book and the map have been the most valuable thing we have encounter many deca-phoebe's ago." Said the unilu salesgirl looking at the book and map. "Originally it's about one thousand GAC's, but today it's on sale for five hundred GAC's."
"Oh boy, I don't have any money with me." Said Lana realizing she doesn't have money.
"You know there is a easy way to get money." Said the unilu salesgirl smiling.
"Really, how?" Asked Lana getting curious.
"Today they're holding a singing competition and the winner gets 18,000 GAC's." Said unilu salesgirl explaining.
"Awesome, I can totally sing, when I was young, I used to be in my school choir, and my family never miss my concerts." Said Lana smiling at the unilu salesgirl.
"That's really amazing, and if you like, I would like to come with you to help you how the competition goes." Said the unilu salesgirl smiling.
"Sure, that will be great, my names Lana by the way." Said Lana introducing herself.
"Nice to meet you Lana, I'm Luxia." Said Luxia introducing herself. "Hey boss, I'm taking my break now."
So Lana and Luxia began to leave the store as they head to where the competition is being held, for Lana to enter.
Meanwhile with Shiro and the Black Lion, Shiro have discovered that Black has taken him to Zarkon's home planet, which was completely destroyed.
"So this was Zarkon's home planet." Said Shiro in shock.
'It was, it's also where the Galra used to live, but now it's destroyed.' Said Black sadly.
"Show me more." Said Shiro as he closed his eyes.
So Shiro closed his eyes as he start looking through Black's eyes. Suddenly Shiro began to see some flashbacks of a comet landing on Zarkon's home planet, Alfor created the Lion's with the comet, the Lion's got their magical element's from the comets pieces that fell from the water where they're drinking, King Alfor found the Lion's that day, and the Galra and Altean's gather from the Black Lion's mechanical body with Alfor and Zarkon.
"King Alfor built your mechanical body from that comet. He found you and the other Lion's at a another planet. And you fought beside him." Said Shiro seeing through Black's eyes. "With Zarkon."
'Yes, like you said before when we first met Ulaz, Zarkon was my original Paladin.' Said Black sounding a bit sad.
"But I don't understand Black, King Alfor was the one who made you Voltron and he found you and the other Lion's, why wasn't he the leader of Voltron?" Asked Shiro in confusion.
'It's true that Alfor did create Voltron and found us, but he had the potential of a alchemist, I'd chosen Zarkon to be the leader of Voltron, because he had the great potential of a true leader.' Said Black as he explains. 'But after he became evil and became obsessed with quintessence, I feel like I made a dreadful mistake.'
Shiro felt bad for Black that Zarkon use to be a great leader of Voltron, till he turn on Voltron and became evil for quintessence, that he gives his sympathy to his Lion through his mind, and Black was grateful for it. However Black and Shiro didn't know that someone is tracking them through their mind, and that was none other than Zarkon.
Meanwhile back at the Castle of Lion's, the mice were doing a performance for Allura and the four Lion's. The three mice where doing a trick at a tight rope as they land on Platt's stomach at a trampoline and finished their performance.
"Absolutely stunning! After we defeat Zarkon, I'm taking you on the road!" Said Allura smiling at the mice.
'Hmm. . . These mice are not bad, I'll give them that.' Said Red looking impressed.
'Yeah, this is so entertaining.' Said Blue smiling at Red.
'I wonder how are Paladin's are doing?' Asked Yellow looking at the other Lion's.
'I'm sure that they're doing fine.' Said Green smiling at the others.
Meanwhile back at the space mall, Pidge was starting to get irritated as she hasn't found any scaultrite lenses yet and she desperately wanted to go to the bathroom. Only problem was that she can't read alien and didn't know which room to go into. The aliens coming out were no help either.
"I'll just hold it." Said Pidge sighing in defeat.
Meanwhile Lana and Luxia were about to head to where the singing competition is, till Lana stop for a minute to see's some girls and she did some finger guns at the couple of alien girls and they giggled a bit.
"He he, are you always that flirtatious?" Asked Luxia smirking at Lana.
"When I see pretty people, I just can't help it." Said Lana smiling a bit.
"Can I interest you in the latest Earth fashions?" Said a male alien catching Lana and Luxia's attention.
Lana and Luxia both look at the alien who has light gray skin, he was wearing some rapper clothes, an area fifty-one hat, and some bling on his neck and shoulders. Suddenly Pidge's arrived at the store.
"Lana, come on! We have to be back at the ticking clock in a half hour." Said Pidge till she saw Luxia. "Oh, who are you?"
"Hello, my name is Luxia." Said Luxia introducing herself to Pidge.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Pidge." Said Pidge introducing herself. "Really Lana, are you trying to get a girlfriend at a time like this?"
"Um Pidge, she's not really my girlfriend, she's just a new friend I met, and she's helping me how to earn money here." Said Lana blushing a bit. "Also, look at all this crazy Earth stuff this alien is selling!"
"We're supposed to be looking for the teludav lenses and you're looking in the one store we know for certain won't have. . . Oh, my gosh!" Said Pidge with her eyes widen and smile. "Is that Killbot Phantasm 1? The first journey to the depths of the demon sphere?"
"Uh, is she okay?" Asked Luxia feeling a bit worried from Pidge's outburst.
"Oh yeah, she's okay, she's just into video games." Said Lana shrugging her shoulders and Pidge let out another gasp and picked up another box.
"Oh! Mercury Gameflux Two! With the original power glove that gives you infinite lives if you touch the index finger to the pinky!" Said Pidge hugging the box to her chest and gave it a squeeze. "We have to have this! How much is this?"
"Twelve hundred GAC." Said the alien blandly.
"Is that a lot?" Asked Pidge turning to Lana.
"Well, compared to what we have, which is none, yes. It's a lot." Said Lana crossing her arms. "But Luxia said that there is one way to get some money."
"We're gonna get some money. Come on!" Said Pidge grabbing Lana and Luxia's hands and started dragging them away, till she looked back at the alien. "Don't sell that!"
"Don't worry. I never sell anything. Do I, Kaltenecker?" Said the alien looking back at the cow and it mooed.
Meanwhile at the other side of the mall, Coran came across a female Unilu in a both pointing at a direction for an alien. She had a red dress with black leather jewellery covered in spikes, wild pink hair flopping over her face, the sides shaved, and large earrings.
"Ah, one of the Unilu." Said Coran as he tried to act all sneaky to the booth in secret, which confused the unilu girl.
"Like, can I help you?" Asked the unilu girl looking at Coran.
"Yes. Can you tell me where the "other" market is?" Asked Coran secretly to the unilu girl.
"The what?" Asked the unilu girl in confusion.
"Well, some might call it the "black market."" Said Coran smirking at the unilu girl.
"Ummm, I don't think I know that. Maybe check there." Said the unilu girl pointing at a map of the mall.
"I don't think this would be "on" the map. It might be more "off-book." Said Coran lifting up his eyepatch, the unilu girl just started him confused till he pulled out an Altean 50 bill and place it on the table. "Maybe this will help you remember?"
"Again, what?" Asked the unilu girl frowning at Coran.
"Ah, the old Unilu shakedown, eh? Fine." Said Coran as he pulled out a few morn Altean money. "Starting to get a fuzzy recollection yet?"
"Who is this? Is this you?" Said the Unilu Girl frowning at Coran while picking up the money.
"No! That's King Groggery the Infirm! You know what? I'll find it myself!" Said Coran grabbing the money back and walk away.
"Uck! I'm so out of this dump." Said the Unilu girl frowning while she cross her arms.
Meanwhile back with space mall's cafeteria, Hunk was scrubbing some dirty dishes while trying to find a way to escape.
"I gotta escape somehow." Said Hunk while looking at the sponge. "Maybe I can scrub through these cuffs."
So while Hunk tried to scrub the cuffs off him, suddenly the robot chef at the front started shooting out lightning and twitching before it collapsed on the floor with a thud, smoke coming out of it. And Sal leaned in to check what that noise had been only to let out an annoyed shout at the crumbled chef on the floor.
"Oh, not again! Now who will be my sustenance preparer?" Asked Sal in annoyance.
"I got this, Sal. Un-cuff me." Said Hunk perking up.
"You?" Asked Hunk letting out a snarky laugh.
"Trust me. I'm an enthusiastic gourmand with an incredible palate. Also, your robot is dead on the floor." Said Hunk gesturing to the robot on the floor.
"That last part is true." Said Sal as he un-cuffed Hunk before cuffing him to the crumpled robot on the floor. "All right, work."
"Okay, now watch this!" Said Hunk cracking his knuckles and a blue machine on the wall popped out a new order and Hunk took the scrap of paper with a grin till he's frown. "I can't read this. Doesn't matter. I'll just improvise."
Then Hunk grabbed some knife and began quickly chopped a few vegetables, fried some weird looking meat and tossed it into the air expertly, before cutting the meat in small portions and placing it on the plate. Sal leaned in to peer at the completed dish as Hunk sprinkle something on the dish.
"Do you smell how the tanginess of tuber masture really brings out the charred flavor from the palmagoren fillet?" Asked Hunk as Sal lifted his hand and about to pull the chain attached to the ceiling to call in the order. "No, no, we won't be using that. Let's just say, "Number 44? Your order's up."
A petite blue alien lady with pink ears glanced up from her seat before smiling and making her way to the front to pick up her meal and taking it back to her seat.
"Enjoy your meal." Said Hunk smiling at the alien girl.
Then as the blue alien lady cut the meat in a smaller portion, she picks it up with a fork and placing it in her mouth. Suddenly she let out a moan and brought her hands to her cheeks before smiling widely.
"What did you do to her face? It's cracking!" Asked Sal pointing at the alien lady.
"She's smiling! She's enjoying her food." Said Hunk and Sal suddenly smile as he handed Hunk another order. "Okay, let's provide some sustenance!"
Meanwhile with Lana, Pidge, and Luxia, the three of them arrived at the place where the sining competition is held. They saw many alien's watching as some few sing their songs. Lana admit that some were amazing, but she knew she could win as she held her amulet close to her.
"Wow, now that's a lot of aliens." Said Pidge looking at the sight.
"That's why this is known to be the most popular singing competition ever." Said Luxia as she saw the sign up sheet. "There's the sign up table."
As the three head to the table, Lana sign up to sing next, which was lucky for her cause she is the last person that is able to sing, and so the announcer went up to the stage.
"Alrighty now, we've seen some many talented singers and the judges seem to take some interest in them, however we have one last competitor that will sing for us!" Said the announcer smiling at the audience. "So, let's give it up for our last singer, Lana McClain!"
Everyone all clapped as Lana got up on the stage, even Pidge and Luxia clapped for Lana. Lana was a bit nervous at first, but she start calming down as she hold her amulet. So as the crowd calm down, Lana began to play the music she picked out, and began singing her song she picked out in her journal.

"Woah, Pidge I never knew that Lana have special effects." Said Luxia in amazement.
"What. . . But Lana didn't have any special effects." Said Pidge in shock.

"Woah, this is so beautiful!" Said Luxia in amazement.
"And somehow it feels so magical, like how Lana is so connected to her Lion's element." Said Pidge in shock.

After Lana since that final note in her song, the water droplets splash together and created a rainbow above Lana and mist was around the ground, and everyone all cheered loudly for Lana.
"Wow, Lana has an incredibly singing voice!" Said Luxia cheering for Lana.
"That's the most amazing performance ever!" Said Pidge cheering for Lana. 'But how was Lana able to do those effects?'
"Alright, now that we have heard our last singer, the judges have already put in their decision!" Said the announcer as the three judges give the announcer a piece of paper. "And so the winner of the singing competition is. . . Lana McClain!"
"YES. . . Razzle Dazzle!" Said Lana while doing her signature pose with her arms.
"ALRIGHT!" Shouted Pidge and Luxia cheering for Lana.
Then the judges present Lana a trophy for her winning and a bag of the 18,000 GAC's that comes with the trophy. Everyone also wanted pictures with Lana, which she accepts and takes some selfies as well. After taking some pictures, Lana left with Pidge and Luxia to buy the game Pidge wanted and the book and map Lana wanted.
Meanwhile with Shiro and the Black Lion, Black continued showing Shiro the memories of when Zarkon was the original Paladin of Voltron.
"Show me more." Asked Shiro as he closed his eyes.
Then Black began to show an image of the Black Lion and as he roared, giant red and silver wings appeared on his back. Shiro watched in awe as the Black Lion popped in and out of existence around them.
"Those wings. You have powers I haven't unlocked. Incredible!" Said Shiro in amazement.
'Since I'm the Guardian of Air, my wings help me during a battle.' Said Black explaining to Shiro. 'But it's not just me with this element.'
"What do you mean?" Asked Shiro in confusion.
'The thing is Shiro, we are both connect to the element of air, and it's not just us, the other Paladins as well.' Said Black explaining more. 'You and the Paladins will gain magical abilities related to our elements, but in order to do so, you all need to be deeply connected both with us and your elements.'
Suddenly Black began to show Shiro an illusion of him and the other Paladins with the Lions, however each of them glow in a different coloured light. Shiro's glowed in a violet light that seemed to be bright as the wind blew around him with his Lion. Pidge's green light glowed the second brightest as flower petal flew around her with the Green Lion, Hunk's yellow light glowed the third brightest with rocks flew around him with the Yellow Lion, Keith's fiery red glowed a bit bright as fire spread around him with the Red Lion.
However, Shiro was shock to see that Lana's blue light is glowing the brightest, as the water spread around her like waves with the Blue Lion with her.
"Woah, I never knew we are connect to our elements, but Lana's connection and so much stronger." Said Shiro in shock.
'That's true, we are connected and bonded really well, but Lana and Blue's connection's are more stronger than ours.' Said Black smiling a bit. 'Like Allura says, Blue and Lana are the Heart of Voltron, and they're bond is stronger than ours, we're all an important part of Voltron and our bonds are strong, but we need to keep working hard for our bonds to become one.'
Shiro smile at Black at the words he says, suddenly the area around them began to grew colder.
'Shiro, something is wrong!' Said Black looking worried.
"What's wrong, Black?" Asked Shiro looking concerned.
'Oh no. . . He's here!' Said Black in horror.
Before Shiro could respond, suddenly Black began to be chained up and dragged far from Shiro. Before could do anything to help his Lion, he saw Zarkon standing in front of him.
"I've got you now, paladin." Said Zarkon evilly to Shiro. "You are a fool to face me here. When you die in this realm, your body dies as well. And then I will take control of Voltron."
Suddenly Zarkon began to rush forward and punched Shiro in the stomach, launching him backwards. No sooner had he caught his breath before Zarkon slammed down on his back, knocking him to the starry ground.
Meanwhile at the space mall, Varkon was tooting around on his hoverscooter, looking around for the space pirates.
"I'll find you pirates!" Said Varkon till he saw a large crowd at the foodcourt. "What's going on here? Official business, excuse me, this is a fire hazard. I'm in the middle of a hot pursuit."
Meanwhile inside the kitchen, Hunk was observing the meat that Sal cooked, and frowned at Sal.
"I said "over medium". Over medium, you rube!" Shouted Hunk shoving a piece of meat to Sal's face. "Does this look over medium to you?"
"No, Chef." Said Sal avoiding Hunk's angry glare and Hunk threw the meat onto the floor.
"Then let's get it right, huh? If it ain't perfect, it ain't coming out of this kitchen, people! Sauce me!" Said Hunk and Sal appeared beside him in a flash with a yellow bottle in his hands that he handed over to Hunk. "Now you're getting it!"
Then Hunk threw the bottle behind his back and easily caught it without looking back before he smeared a good portion on the plates before him.
"Bon appaetit." Said Hunk smiling to the crowd.
The crowd let out a round of applause at Hunk's cooking, and suddenly Varkon appeared in front of him.
"I got you now, pirate! Where are your friends?" Said Varkon glaring at Hunk, who let out a yelp and stumbled back before turning to Sal.
"Don't forget what I taught you! Those are the fundamentals of cooking!" Shouted Hunk as he leaped forward so high he stepped on Varkon's face before he was on his feet and running.
"Uhhhh! That kid is a genius. I don't care if we have to search the entire galaxy! I want him back at Vrepit Sal's!" Said Sal as he clenched his fist.
Meanwhile with Shiro, he still continues to fight Zarkon, but however he couldn't be able to fight Zarkon.
"You could never take my place as the head of Voltron." Said Zarkon glaring at Shiro and punched him to the ground.
"You can't pilot the Black Lion after everything you've done! You can never lead Voltron again! You're no paladin!" Said Shiro glaring at Zarkon.
"You have no idea how to command a weapon like this!" Said Zarkon attacking Shiro.
"No one commands the Black Lion!" Said Shiro glaring at Zarkon.
"You dare lecture me?" Said Zarkon before slamming Shiro into the ground and grab him by the neck. "Do you think the Black Lion would allow such a feeble creature to pilot it? Only the powerful can command it."
"You've forgotten what's most important between a lion and its paladin. It's not about power. It's about earning each other's trust." Said Shiro as his voiced rasped from Zarkon's grip.
"Trust has nothing to do with it. The lion is mine, forever." Said Zarkon evilly at Shiro.
As Zarkon squeezed Shiro's neck tightly, Shiro felt himself growing weak and desperate, as he was couple ticks more into being dead.
Suddenly the Black Lion began to roar so loudly as he break off the chains and shifting into a giant actual Lion, at the same size of his mechanical body. Then Black leaped behind Shiro and roared so loudly, he shot out a nebula of black opals at Zarkon.
"Nooooo!" Shouted Zarkon as he suddenly disappeared.
At Zarkon's Central Command Center, Zarkon woke up from his meditation with a guttural yell, as he fall to the ground.
"Sire, what is it?" Asked Hagger in concern.
"My connection grows weaker. We must hurry if we ever wish to reclaim Voltron." Said Zarkon commanding his witch and the Druids.
Meanwhile Shiro have woke up from his meditation and see himself sitting in his Lion's cockpit, and he look to see Black in his physical form.
"Did you just save me?" Said Shiro smiling at his Lion and pets Black's head. "Thank you."
'Our bond is now stronger Shiro, but we still need to work hard to defeat Zarkon.' Said Black smiling at his Paladin and Shiro smile back.
Meanwhile back at the space mall, Lana and Pidge first went back to the store Luxia works in, and Lana was able to buy the book and the map she was interested.
"Here you go." Said Luxia while giving Lana a bag that has the book and map.
"Thanks so much, Luxia!" Said Lana smiling at Luxia.
"No problem, I have to admit Lana, that was the most amazing singing I have ever heard." Said Luxia smiling at Lana. "Everyone in the mall agrees with that!"
"Alright! Let's go!" Said Pidge as she starts leaving the store to buy the game.
"Thanks Luxia, see you soon!" Said Lana leaving the store.
"See ya, Lana." Said Luxia waving at Lana and smiling.
Meanwhile at the other side of the mall, Hunk was still running from the mall cop, as he look around for the others or for an escape.
"Gotta hide! Gotta hide!" Said Hunk panicking.
Suddenly Hunk saw Keith had just exited the bathroom, and was about to meet the others till Hunk goes to him.
"Keith! He's right behind me!" Said Hunk as he grabbed Keith's shoulder in panic.
"Who?" Asked Keith and suddenly Varkon appeared in front of them.
"Pirate number two! My lucky day!" Said Varkon smirking and the two paladins began to run.
Meanwhile back at the earth store, Pidge and Lana were both able to buy the games with the money Lana had won, and were about to leave.
"Hold on. With every purchase, you get a free Kaltenecker." Said the alien as he give Lana the cow.
"Time to get moving, guys!" Said Hunk running past them.
"Security's on our tail!" Said Keith running past them, as Lana and Pidge saw Varkon.
"There's the rest of the crew!" Said Varkon seeing Pidge and Lana.
Suddenly in a panic, Lana and Pidge began to run as well, as they all run from Varkon, they look ahead of them only to see it was a dead end, till Lana got an idea.
"Everyone hop on Kaltenecker!" Said Lana hopping onto the cow.
"Did you buy a cow?" Asked Hunk in shock while hopping onto Kaltenecker.
"It was free with purchase!" Said Pidge responding to Hunk's question.
As they all got onto the cow, suddenly the hoverboard the cow was on was controlled and began to zoom off while Lance steered them, while Varkon hot on their tail.
Meanwhile with Coran, he was about to turn to another direction of the mall, till he saw a triangle with a dot in the middle on a green banner – the symbol of Unilu traders.
"Hold on a tick, this looks familiar!" Said Coran as he enter the store. "Oh, lookie-lookie. An original Unilu swap shop!"
As Coran looked around the store, suddenly an Unilu behind the counter came.
"Good eye, friend. This shop's been in my family since before the empire began." Said the unilu shopkeeper smiling at Coran. "Can I interest you in a butcher barrel? Or perhaps a set of window breakers?"
As the unilu shopkeeper began moving some things around, a cloth fell off of a rack of blue scaultrite lenses.
"Teludav lenses! Yes!" Said Coran in excitement till he clear his throat. "I mean, I don't have any idea what these pieces of junk are."
"I see you've got your eye on these antique glass table toppers here." Said the unilu shopkeeper smiling.
"Well, they're pretty ugly. But I do have an empty curio cabinet for grotesqueries. How much do you want?" Asked Coran casually.
"How much have you got?" Asked the unilu shopkeeper showing the mischievous spark of a bargain.
"Oh, I have a handful of pocket lint." Said Coran offering his first bargain.
"I'll take your first-born child." Said the unilu shopkeeper bidding his bargain.
"I might be able to throw in a used handkerchief." Said Coran offering his second bargain.
"I could accept your left foot." Said the unilu shopkeeper bidding his second bargain.
"I'd be willing to sing you a song!" Said Coran offering his third bargain.
"You become my butler for one year." Said the unilu shopkeeper bidding his third bargain.
"Two Altean crown bills." Said Coran taking own two Altean money.
"Five Valuvium ingots." Said the unilu shopkeeper bidding his fourth bargain.
"Oh, would you accept an IOU?" Said Coran offering his fifth bargain.
"Of course. I'll just need some collateral. Maybe ten Valuvium ingots!" Said the unilu shopkeeper bidding his fifth bargain.
"Or how about this?" Said Coran pulling out one of his floating cubes. "One Olkari flying cube."
"You've got a deal!" Said the unilu shopkeeper grabbing the cube and give Coran the lenses.
As Coran exit out the black market, he was about to head to the spot where he'll meet the other's, till he saw Kaltenecker on her hoverboard with the Paladins on her back heading right towards him.
"There he is!" Said Pidge seeing Coran.
"We gotta go, Coran!" Shouted Keith and Coran hop on the hoverboard.
"I got the scaultrite lenses!" Said Coran informing the Paladins.
"Scaultrite? Hold on a tick!" Said the unilu shopkeeper trying to catch Coran.
"Uh-uh! No take-backs!" Said Coran to the unilu shopkeeper as Varkon continued chasing them.
As Varkon tried to catch them, they were all neared the gate and looked back to see the mall cop slid to a stop in his scooter.
"Doggone it! You better run! Don't let me catch you in my jurisdiction again, pirates!" Shouted Varkon to the Paladins as they exit out the mall.
After the escaping from the mall cop, they all arrived at the Castle of Lion's and enter the Main Bridge, where Allura is waiting with the mice braiding her hair, and the Lion's were gather around her.
"We got our lenses!" Said Coran entering the Main Bridge.
"Excellent! Now, we can get the teludav up and running." Said Allura getting up and going to the others.
'Hey, I'm glad that you're back Lana!' Said Blue smiling at Lana till she saw the cow and the trophy. 'Uh, is that a cow and a trophy?'
"Yep, her name is Kaltenecker, and I got this trophy from a singing competition." Said Lana smiling at his Lion. "Along with a few items I bought from the prize money."
'So, how did it go?' Asked Red and Yellow to their Paladin's.
"You don't wanna know?" Said Hunk and Keith in unison.
'I'm guessing that something's went down.' Said Green looking at her Paladin.
"You have no idea, Green." Said Pidge looking at her Lion.
"Where's Shiro?" Asked Keith looking around the Main Bridge.
Then the doors to the Main Bridge opened up and in came Shiro with Black walking right beside him.
"What did you do? Take a nap?" Asked Allura looking at Shiro.
"Not exactly." Said Shiro crossing his arms and saw Kaltenecker. "Is that a cow?"
"Mm-hmm, her name is Kaltenecker." Said Lana smiling at the cow.
"So, did you find a way to bond with your lion?" Asked Keith looking at Shiro.
"Yes, but before we head to the Blade of Marmora's headquarters, we need some more information in any case." Said Shiro looking at the others.
"I'll adjust the lenses." Said Coran and quickly left.
"While you're doing that, I'm gonna hook up the video game Lana and I bought." Said Pidge in excitement as she opens up the box.
"Yeah! Let's get this baby set up." Said Lana in excitement.
Then Pidge took out the cables and looked around the room to see where they could plug the game in.
"Where can we. . . How do. . ." Said Pidge looking around the Main Bridge.
However Pidge eye began to twitch in horror as she realized that there was nowhere for them to set up their game.
"Nooooo!" Shouted Pidge in horror.
