Himawari sighs as she stands in front of the cashier to pay for her groceries. It's her turn to make dinner today and although her aunt has offered to do it, the raven head declines. Just because she has been feeling a bit low-spirited doesn't mean she can't do her daily house chores.

Since that incident, Himawari hasn't talked to Luka for almost a week. Although meeting each other every day at school, it's like they follow their instinct and avoid each other as much as possible. Even when the Kitty Section has band practice, the raven head has excused herself from attending the practice session, much to everyone's surprise.

Marinette and Alya have tried to ask her about the problem but the raven head refuses to answer, telling them that there's nothing wrong between them and that she's just a bit tired to talk about it. Juleka, on the other hand, has privately texted her and asks if she's feeling better. The younger Couffaine apologizes on her brother's behalf, telling her that he didn't mean anything that he said the other day and asks for her forgiveness.

Himawari chuckles a bit when she remembers Juleka's words.

She understands that Luka didn't mean any harm and he was just angry that he accidentally said those things. She also understands that part of the problem is her fault because she talked to Mr. Couffaine without telling him or anyone in his family. The guitarist has every right to be angry at her and yet, she can't shake off the painful feeling inside her heart as she recalls his words.

It is a mistake for me to trust you…

As much as she hates to admit it, those words break her heart into pieces. The thought of Luka putting all his trust into her and then telling her that it's a mistake is so painful that his words haunted her for days. The young artist questions herself, asking all of those 'what if…' questions as she thinks of how the situation could become better if she just told him about the meeting.

And Luka…

Luka doesn't seem like he's in a better place than her. Although they haven't spoken to each other, Himawari has silently observed him, watching the guitarist from afar. She notices the dark circles under his eyes due to lack of sleep, how his expression is dull and tiresome, his lack of interest in his guitar, etc. Juleka even told her that he has been skipping meals lately and it worries her.

However, as much as she wants to walk up and talk to him, she just can't. The raven head doesn't have enough courage to do that nor she's prepared to hear what other hateful things he will say to her. It's too painful to see him now…

"Well hello there, beautiful!"

Himawari startles when she hears an unfamiliar voice, she turns to her side and sees a young man smirking at her.

Oh boy…

"Should a cute little lady like you be accompanied by your boyfriend?" he steps closer to her "Do you mind if I tag along?"

"Yes, I do." she replies "Thank you for your offer but I'm fine on my own."

The stranger doesn't know how to quit as he begins to follow her, asking her question after question and the raven head just simply doesn't reply. She chooses the longer and more crowded route to walk home, hoping that people on the street will help her get away from this weird guy.

"Aw, come on! Come with me, it'll be fun!"

He tries to persuade her with positive words and a charming smile but the young artist doesn't buy any of his comments. She tries to speed up and walks faster, ignoring the catcalls and wolf whistles from him. The stranger, however, dares to grab onto her hand to stop her from taking any further steps, claiming that she shouldn't just ignore his kindness like that.

"Will you stop? I don't know you and I don't want to go with you! Please be a decent human and let me go!"

She snaps at him and releases her hand from his grip, scoffing as he teases her about the 'feisty attitude' and how he 'loves spicy girls'. Himawari is creeped out by his comments, telling him that he either steps away from her or she will call the police. But the man's stubbornness and stupidity rub her off in the wrong way as he claims that he only wants to get to know her, making Himawari frowns in response as she opens her phone and is ready to call the police.

"Aw, are you afraid that I might harm you? I would never do such things to a beautiful lady like you!"

"And I believe that you're overstepping the boundary, young man."

Amethyst eyes widen when she sees a tall figure standing between her and the stranger, but the slick back black hair is awfully similar to…

"Mr. Couffaine?"

The stranger shouts at him, provoking the man with curses and slurs but all those words don't even affect him a single bit. Standing tall on his feet, Lukka looks down as the stranger is shorter than him, brown orbs glint with a dangerous vibe as he coldly yet politely asks the other person to back down and get lost.

"Y-you think I'm afraid of you?"

Mr. Couffaine smiles, amused at his words. Chilly air runs through their skin as he loosens his ascot and rolls up his sleeves, a smirk appears on his face as he looks at the young man. Those brown orbs, however, don't seem to smile at him.

"Get lost!"

The stranger stumbles on his own feet and falls onto the floor, his eyes wide open as he consciously inches back away from the man. He shouts at them again and runs away, leaving Lukka smirking in victory and Himawari sighing in relief. Gathering the groceries stuff in her hands, the raven head bows down to him to say thank you for helping her get through the situation.

"Don't mind it."

Himawari looks at him in awe. Not only does this scene is familiar, the way Mr. Couffaine just helped her and the words he said after it is almost identical to Luka's. Thinking about it makes her giggle as she tells him how she can see him in the young guitarist, from his actions to his words and even the way he presents himself in front of those people. Even their names are the same, minus a 'k', of course.

Mr. Couffaine stares at her, the way she mentions his son's name is so soft, so sweet and full of adoration. He remembers that day when she stood up and held Luka back, telling the boy that he shouldn't do anything stupid. Although his son snapped back at her, he listened to the raven head's advice and walked away. It doesn't take him two brain cells to realize that there's something between the two and he smiles, thinking how lucky his lad is for having such a wonderful young lady by his side like that.

"Do you…perhaps…like my son, Luka?"

His words take her by surprise as she stares at him, her face is starting to heat up and she slowly nods her head in response.

"Do you mind…talking to me a little bit…?"

Himawari startles at his words, thinking about how angry the other boy will be if he knows about this. Despite her brain screaming, telling her that this is not a good idea, the young artist nods her head as she follows Mr. Couffaine to a bench near the Seine River and sits down.

He asks her about Luka and Juleka's school life as the raven head enthusiastically tells him stories about the Couffaine siblings. How amazing Juleka is despite her shyness, how talented Luka is when it comes to music, how close the siblings are and how they often help each other get through all the troubles at school.

She also mentions the Kitty Section band, their amazing performances and the dream of signing their own record deal. Despite being a band full of teenagers, the raven head believes that the Kitty Section has a lot of potential and that they never give up on their dream. Juleka, as shy as she is, shines brightly right with her bass skill. And as for Luka, a gifted musician and a great leader who leads the band through all circumstances with his songs and wisdom.

"I do believe that they have talent." Mr. Couffaine says "People don't appreciate their music just because they're jealous."

"Do you really think so?"

"Of course, I'm not saying it because Juleka and Luka are my children. I actually want to sign a record deal with them."

Himawari smiles, feeling very happy for her friends. All the hard work and practice sessions are going to be paid off if Mr. Couffaine really means what he just said, everyone, is going to be very excited if they hear this, especially Luka.

But then…

She wonders if Luka and Juleka accept this offer. They don't have a good relationship with their father and this move doesn't seem to help the situation, more like he's trying to use his power to persuade his children to forgive him. Luka will never accept this offer, especially when they haven't figured out a way to untangle this mess. She's very concerned about this, worried that the young guitarist might be even more upset about this.

"I talked to Anarka yesterday…"

Mr. Couffaine confesses with a smile on his face. His beaming face takes her by surprise as he seems to be very pleased about it.

"She said that I need to win back her heart and prove to her that I'm worthy of her and the children."

Oh…

Does this mean that Mrs. Couffaine is giving him a second chance?

Looking at him, Himawari can't help but let out a soft giggle as she congratulates him, saying that he's very lucky to Mrs. Couffaine accepted him and he should treasure her as she is an amazing woman. Lukka laughs at her comment, saying that he's not going to let go of this second chance and he will try his best to make her and his family happy. He then proceeds to talk about Luka and how he hopes that his son will accept him again, this makes Himawari's heart drop as she thinks about how painful it will be if the young guitarist is too stubborn to listen to his own heart.

"How about you, Himawari? Have things gone well between you and my son?"

The young artist looks at him before nervously combing her hair as she avoids his gaze.

'Well', he said…

Nothing has gone well as none of them want to talk about it, or face it, or know how to solve it.

Mr. Couffaine knows this. Anarka has told him about the situation and how Luka had lashed out at Himawari for trying to 'interfere' with their family problem. He's not surprised, knowing that his son is still having a hard time trying to cope with his sudden appearance. Lukka is fine with his lad putting the anger on him but to criticize this lovely girl is not something a man should do, especially when she has gone all her way to help them.

From the look of it, he can sense that Himawari is still very heartbroken about Luka's words and doesn't want to talk about them. His son, on the other hand, is being a coward by not stepping forward and apologizing for his rude behavior. Making someone cry has never been a Couffaine's style, especially when it comes to a lady.

"You should talk to him…" he slowly suggests "Or you're waiting for him to make the first move?"

"I…"

She is taken off guard by his comment and Mr. Couffaine lets out a laugh when he sees the look on her face as she tries to digest what he just said.

"Maybe some other time…" Himawari replies, her fingers beginning to twiddle "I don't want to make him uncomfortable…"

"Hm, that's true. That boy is hard to please, after all…"

"It's not like that!" she exclaims "He just…He's having a hard time trusting other people and I fuel his insecurity by doing that…"

The raven head feels like she wants to cry, her eyes become watery as she tries her best to stay calm. The thought of it pains her heart and she doesn't know how to fix it, she doesn't know how to help him…

Holding back her sob, Himawari rubs her eyes as she stands up and bids goodbye to Mr. Couffaine as she hurries to return back to her house. Lukka's brown eyes follow her, he can see through the pain that she's suffering, the guilt of 'lying' to his son when she knows that he has put his trust in her. Sighing, he raises his head and looks at the sky. The beautiful orange color as the sun slowly sets down behind the old buildings of Paris, opens the way for the moon to slowly rise as evening comes.

Anarka has asked him to talk to Luka, hoping to clear up the tension between them. She tells him that his son, despite being all calm and collected, is very irritating as he doesn't know what to do or how to talk to Himawari after the incident. He wants to apologize, yet he can't bring himself to talk to her, afraid that he might hurt the poor girl again. His lovely partner believes that if anyone can talk to Luka right now, it will be him. As much as he hates the older man, he will listen and will consider his advice.

"Well, it seems like you will have to talk to me, Luka…"

Luka is lying on his bed, reading the letter that his father wrote for him. As much as he wants to ignore it, he can't do it, not when Himawari has gone all her way to deliver the letter to him. The older man has apologized to him through the letter, believing that his son has every right to be angry at him and whether or not he should be forgiven depends on Luka. He also stated that even if the young guitarist doesn't want to see him, he still owes them an apology and he wants them to know that he is very sorry for ever abandoning them in the first place.

Luka hates it, not because of the apology but because his father clearly knew the negative effects of his actions on this family yet he still did it. It's like this family weighed nothing in his mind during that time.

His mother told him that she has given his father a second chance but she also wants him to know that it's his choice to forgive the man. She doesn't want her decision to influence his answer to this and he should take his time to think about it. Juleka said the same thing. She told him that she doesn't hold any grudge against their father and he's welcome to come here.

Luka doesn't understand why the two ladies in his house can forgive him so easily to the fact that they ignore the painful memories of the past. Mrs. Couffaine says that she doesn't just give him a second chance, she is giving this family a second chance. She wants her children to have a father and that man has shown her his remorse about everything he has done, then she believes that he deserves another chance.

She even pointed out that he, despite saying that he will never forgive him, has never let go of his father's old guitar. The young guitarist argued that this guitar has nothing to do with the problem but she didn't believe what he said.

'The only reason you choose to carry that guitar is that you still consider him your father, Luka. As much as you hate to admit it, you have never stopped believing that he will eventually return back to us.'

Sighing, he hates it when his mother sees through him…

He has held onto the belief that one day, his father will return. No matter how much he hates the man for making his mother and sister cry, he still has love and respect for him. Luka hates himself for having such thoughts about his father, believing that he deserves nothing from them and yet his heart says otherwise… The dilemma in his mind has caused the boy to burst into anger and the only thing that fuels his rage is the day his father showed up at the front door.

What should he do? Should he forgive that man? Is he even deserved to be forgiven?

If only someone can help him, someone who can offer him a word of advice, someone to be right here with him and listens to his problem…

Himawari…

Luka startles when her image pops up in his mind. A pang of guilt hits him as he remembers those hateful words that he said to her the other day, calling his trust for her a 'mistake'. He is mortified at himself for saying such things and making her cry. Luka Couffaine, of all the people, had made Himawari cry.

It stings… The feeling of guilt and regret…

He is so ashamed of himself that he doesn't even dare to look at her. He wants to clear the air, to apologize for ever saying those hateful things but as soon as he sees the raven head, his heart just drops and all his courage just magically fades away. Luka knows that she's also trying to avoid him, at school and even at the band practice session. She tries to make it sounds like she's not feeling well, but he knows the real reason why she refuses to do anything that he participates in.

Juleka tries to persuade him to talk to her but he just can't, he doesn't want to hurt her. Himawari's happiness has always been something that he prioritizes the most and yet, ironically, he's the one who made her cry. How can he know that he will not hurt her again?

Looking to his side, Luka sees the scarf that she gave him the other day. He hasn't had a chance to give it back to her. Holding onto the clothing, he sighs, recalling her soft voice as she wrapped the scarf around his neck to warm him up. A sweet smile adorned her face as she told him to keep himself warm as he walked back to his house.

Oh… How he misses her smile…

If he didn't say those hateful things to her, maybe she would be here and helped him get through this mess. She would comfort him with her words and encouragements, she would gladly hold onto his hand, and she would sit there, listen to his music then point out what she thinks he's feeling now.

Himawari has always been great at reading his feelings, graciously telling him about them and then sharing her thoughts about his music. She understands him, she sees through him and she is slowly breaking all the walls that he has built around his heart. The raven head always knows what he needs, whether it's a moment of silence or a word of encouragement, she knows it all.

He misses her soft giggles, the warmth of her hand in his, her cheering and motivating words…

He misses her…

He misses Himawari…

"Well, what do we have here?"

Startles at the voice, Luka turns his attention to the door, only to frown as he sees an unwelcome face.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to talk to you."

"There's no need to talk. Get out!" he growls, obviously not happy.

"Then I believe that you don't want to hear what awful things just happened to that lovely raven head of yours, right?"

Awful thing? Raven head? Luka skeptically looks at the man…

"Did something happen to Himawari?"

The man just smiles in response and Luka's heart immediately starts racing.

"Only one way to find out…"
