"TWO MINUTES TO JUMP."
-
In the back of a Canadian C-17 cargo plane, fully kitted soldiers check their parachutes while the jump master walks past them shouting, "alright everyone! Even though this is a training jump, I expect nothing but the best from all of you!"
-
The soldiers in unison shout back, "yes sir!"
-
The jump master pauses in front of the unit's sniper who is double checking the straps on his equipment but pauses when he sees the jump master leaning in while saying, "even though this is your last jump before effectively being kicked out of the military, I still expect the best from you."
-
The sniper nods with a grin while saying, "well I do want to leave a good impression after all so count on it."
-
The jump master starts to chuckle then says, "just think, if you would have waited till you actually turned 18 then you could have gone places."
-
The sniper is able to hide his disappointment behind his goggles and breather but still look back at him with a smile while responding, "well this is what I get for wanting to kick some ass early."
-
The jump master looks at him with a suspicious look while asking, "be honest, what was the real reason you joined?"
-
Before the sniper can respond, a red light shines brightly causing the jump master to take a step back while shouting, "guess you'll have to tell me on the ground!"
-
The sniper chuckles while responding, "if I make it to the ground I'll tell you everything!"
-
With that, the jump master walks to the cargo bay door while the sniper takes his place in the line of soldiers facing the back. The jump master looks back at the line of soldiers while shouting over their microphones, "alright everyone! One minute to jump! Do last checks!"
-
All the soldiers in line proceed to check the parachute of the person in front of them. With everyone now giving the jump master a thumbs up, he hits a switch at the end of the plane which causes the loading ramp to lower and intern filling the cargo hold with deafening wind. The jump master looks out the end and sees a vast sea of long flowing prairie grass. Confirming their landing zone, he looks back while shouting over the radio, "alright everyone!!!! DEPLOY DEPLOY DEPLOY!!!!"
-
The soldiers follow each other to the end of the ramp then after giving the previous one time, jumps out the back. The sniper makes it to the back, and once he sees everything is clear, he jumps off into the open air. Now airborne, all he is able to hear is the sound of wind rushing past him with even his radio being unintelligible. He continues to look down at the fast approaching ground below but his attention gets taken up by something strange. To his confusion what appears to be some sort of white cloud manifests directly below him causing him to think to himself, "where the hell did this come from?"
-
Just as he finishes this thought, he flies directly into the cloud and becomes consumed by its white fluffiness. The ground below and even the sky above was now replaced by white nothingness and though he can still feel himself falling, the cloud seems to continue endlessly which causes him to become concerned enough to look at his altitude reader. This however does not ease his concern, instead it simply grows from him seeing the reader showing only question marks. Thinking it was malfunctioning and starting to panic, he reaches for his ripcord but just as he's about to pull it, he feels his arm become paralyzed while he hears a strange woman's voice asking, "will you help him?"
-
What confuses him the most about this voice was the fact that even though he could barely hear anything with the rushing wind, he could hear her voice perfectly as If she were whispering in his ear. Thinking he was just imagining and remembering the pressing matter of his paralyzed arm, he again tries to pull the ripcord but again he can't move his arm and as he struggles to move, he hears the voice ask, "will you help my beloved?"
-
Now knowing he wasn't hearing things but again being more worried about the fast approaching ground, he ignores it while desperately trying to reach over with his other hand while the voice asks, "please help my beloved."
-
Unable to reach his ripcord, he simply shouts at the voice, "what the hell are you talking about?"
-
The voice calmly replies, "my beloved is struggling. He is dying endlessly. He needs help, he needs someone to protect him. He needs you to protect him."
-
Still confused by the whole situation he was in but starting to panic and thinking it will help he shouts, "fine! I'll help him! I'll help your damn beloved!!!"
-
The whole world goes silent, he doesn't feel or hear the wind, he honestly felt like he wasn't moving at all, it was as if…. Time stopped. Before he could figure out what was going on, he hears the voice again saying, "thank you."
-
With those two words he once again feels himself falling while the clouds start to break up but what catches his attention the most was his altitude reader which was flashing brightly. He looks over and is shocked to see it reading, "DANGER! DANGER! DANGER!!!"
-
He looks down and is horrified to see what appears to be a neatly trimmed lawn directly below coming at him with extreme speed. Realizing that his arm was no longer paralyzed, he frantically pulls his rip cord which intern deploys his parachute. He is forcibly pulled back up with his feet now pointing to the ground but it soon becomes apparent that he was to late in deploying his chute since the ground continues to come at him with great speed, causing him to brace for impact while blurting out, "SHIT!!!!"
-
THUD!!!
-
He hits the ground hard and ends up sprawled out laying face down on the ground. He lies there motionlessly with the only signs of life being faint groans emanating from him as his parachute gently falls over him like a warm comforting blanket. He continues to lie there with his vision being solely filled with what appears to be freshly trimmed grass which causes him to think to himself, "this isn't right. We were supposed to land in an open field covered in tall grass. Did I somehow fly off course and land on someone's front lawn?"
-
As he thinks this, a sudden realization comes to mind as he says to himself, "but the jump master said there was no homes for hundreds of kilometres? Where the hell could I be?"
-
He attempts to lift himself up but freezes when he hears a girls voice from a few feet in front of him saying, "sister sister. It appears that we have a trespasser on the front lawn."
-
He's confused by the way she spoke but he couldn't ponder it for long when he hears a second voice respond, "rem rem, you are correct. And aside from trespassing, he even ruined your perfectly manicured lawn."
-
The first voice again says, "I am not worried about that. What worries me is the harm he could do to dear sister."
-
The Second voice adds, "dearest rem, I do not think we need to worry since it appears he is far to lazy seeing as he has decided to use a blanket to take a nap on the lawn of the place he was attempting to break into."
-
Ignoring the insult and instead focusing on the fact that it does look like he was trespassing even though it was an accident so he decides to slowly stand up and pulls his parachute off while saying, "sorry. I didn't mean to land here."
-
With his parachute sliding off his back he is finally able to get a clear look at the girls who were talking but becomes surprised at what he sees. Standing together and holding hands a few feet away from him were a pair of identical looking girls wearing maid outfits though the most striking thing about them was the fact that one sported pink hair with only her right eye being visible while the others was blue with the left eye exposed. He looks at them confused but decides it was best to simply say, "hi."
-
This however doesn't seem to ease their concerned looks while the blue haired girl says, "sister sister. Though he pretends to act friendly. I am still afraid of his motives for being here."
-
Before he can properly explain himself, the pink haired girl adds, "rem rem, I share your skepticism. With his face concealed you can not tell what he might be thinking."
-
Realizing he still had his breather and goggles on, he casually removes them revealing his blue eyes and rough beard. He smiles at them innocently while saying, "so like I said before, I accidentally landed here so I didn't mean to trespass."
-
Looking past them he sees what appears to be a large European looking manor, now curious he starts to look around and is surprised to see a large open lawn with a gazebo, along with a few marble looking statues and large brick Fence along the parameter which holds back a vast lush forest with a single path carved out and goes into the distance. He continues to look around while more or less ignoring the pair of still concerned maids while saying, "yeah this is definitely no where near the landing zone. Jump master is gonna have a field day with me over this one."
-
He looks back at the pair of still suspicious maids and ask, "so can you two tell me where I am?"
-
Seemingly ignoring the question, the blue haired girl says, "sister sister, it appears that the thief doesn't know where he has broken into."
-
Wanting to clear things up he is about to speak but is interrupted by the pink haired girl adding, "rem rem. It would appear that he is a fool for not only sleeping on the front lawn but also deciding to break into this manor."
-
Again ignoring the insult he continues to smile while saying, "I think there's been a misunderstanding. See I was supposed to land far from here and must have been blown off course and accidentally landed here. I didn't mean to trespass and will happily leave now."
-
Seemingly unconvinced they continue to look at him suspiciously when the blue haired girl says, "sister sister. It appears that the intruder thinks he can deceive us."
-
The pink haired girl adds, "rem rem. He is an even bigger fool than we thought if he thinks we will let him leave willingly."
-
A feeling of dread builds within him as he mutters to himself, "I have a bad feeling about this."
-
His hand slowly lowers his hands while he calmly saying, "I don't want any trouble and am willing to leave peacefully."
-
This time the pink haired girl says while stepping away from the blue haired girl, "mr thief, since we are unsure why you are here then we are unable to let you leave."
-
The dread he feels continues to grow as he slowly puts a hand on his holstered pistol while saying, "east now. I don't want any trouble but if you act in a threatening matter towards me, I have every right as an acting member of the armed forces to defend myself."
-
The blue haired girl once again starts saying in a more serious tone, "sister sister, it would appear that this thief is threatening us."
-
The pink haired girl adds, "rem rem, it would appear so."
-
She raises her hand towards him while continuing, "let us try not to kill him."
-
Realizing the threat, he motions to draw his pistol but before he can even draw it, a gust of wind blows from her hand and slams into him. He gets sent flying backwards and becomes tangled in his chute, he lands on his back and looks up at the sky with a mixture of shock and confusion while saying, "what the hell was that."
-
He struggles to move due to the parachute and is just barely able to sit up only to see the pink haired girl standing in front of him with her hand raised and holding what could only be described as a ball of roaring wind. She looks down at him with disgust while asking coldly, "do you surrender peacefully?"
-
Realizing that he was way out of his element, he sees no other option but to slowly raise his hands while replying, "I…."
-
He gets interrupted by her asking, "no?"
-
An evil grin crosses her face as she continues, "good."
-
Realizing he was in real danger, he frantically puts his hands up while shouting, "wait!!!"
-
His plea however gets ignored as she raises the ball of wind and throws it directly at him. As it leaves her hand the ball grows in size and fully engulfs him and catching his parachute, he gets dragged across the lawn with great speed while frantically trying to free himself but as he looks up, all he could see was white. More specifically the white of a marble statue which he crashes face first into and from then on all he could see was black.
