So, I tried to fit everything into this one chapter but it ended up feeling rushed and I decided to split my planned one mega-chapter into two chapters. There will be one more Fuyuki chapter after this.

Everyone's reaction to Merlina will be shock and yet understanding, with how often Fate Merlin supposedly got around, he's probably got a few descendents.
Sonic's abilities from certain games I'm still researching as Sonic has a lot of stuff he can do, some of it needs items and some of it doesn't.
I may modify how summoning works, as honestly Chaldea's system is a bit confusing with how they planned to summon Servants before they even got Mashu's shield and yet need that shield to summon Servants, but we'll have to see. But at this point yea Sonic can summon a Servant, but will he is the question.

Guest: Super Sonic WILL be OP as will Hyper Sonic if it appears. Super Sonic is one of the most powerful beings in fiction, and he is the heavy guns only brought out for Beasts and other things on that level. There are very few ordinary Servants who could actually stand a chance against Super Sonic.
Yeaaa, Archie Sonic is fun but there'd be no tension. Game Sonic is already strong, he doesn't need the insane feats of Archie Sonic under his belt or he's bullying Goetia and the Alien God into early retirement.
xmodaliyong12: As I have said before, the Throne of Heroes cannot connect to Sonic's World as it lacks a Counter-Force. Introducing stuff like the Fleetway comics also massively changes things and would frankly take the story in a direction I don't want to go.
Shadowfox219: Mash's awakening always felt a bit.. Less dramatic then it should be, she almost dies and gets saved by Galahad, I wanted something more here and to show how Sonic's influence is effecting her.
Sonic will probably do Team Attacks, but right now its impossible as he's not trained or fought long enough with any Servants yet.
Sonic's interaction with the Round Table will be interesting. Artoria's many forms will each have an interaction with Sonic, as will the knights.
ChaosDeathLord (Chapter 7): Mashu calls basically everyone in Senpai, it was never specific to Ritsuka. Sonic just assumes its a nickname and he doesn't have a reason to tell her not to call him it.

As for The Scabbard of Excalibur, its been a while since I've played the game and on the wiki it stated the Sheathe was corrupted by the magic of the Underworld. And honestly I like it being corrupted, it explains things more.
ArguableReader: Ah no I get it, while there are some small changes like Mashu's awakening and Artoria Alter focusing on Sonic over Mashu, the big changes haven't started coming in yet.
I have no plans to include Archie characters, Sonic's world is based on the games with some of the IDW comics included. At best some locations and characters of Archie may be mentioned to fill out the world a little more, but they've had no interaction with Sonic.
Sonic winced as a bandage was applied around a nasty scratch on his right arm, it had been a few minutes since the fight against Berserker and things had been a bit hectic. Olga had dragged Mashu away to check her over, muttering something about a Demi-Servant project finally showing results. Cu had arrived shortly after and he seemed confused about the Demi-Servant thing as well when Sonic asked him about it.
"So little lady, me and the hedgehog here need an explanation. Because last I checked that girl didn't have the abilities of a Servant". Cu asked Olga, who was still doing… Something vaguely magical, Sonic had no clue what it was besides there was a magic circle under Mashu and slowly going up and down her body.
"It was a project of my father, an attempt to avoid the mana issues of a normal Servant and make something more… Controllable". Olga trailed off uncomfortably while Mashu avoided eye contact, Sonic clenched his fist, he'd dealt with enough crazy science to know where that went. "Kyrielight was the only one to survive, but she never showed any signs of the experiment working before today".
"Well, I won't say no to having another fighter!". Sonic states, giving Mashu a smile and thumps up, causing the Demi-Servant to giggle. "But uh… What class are you? I don't remember anything about a class that uses shields.
"I'm a… Shielder? This isn't one of the ordinary seven…". Mashu was confused, she was aware of a few extra classes such as Avenger and Ruler, but she had never heard of the Shielder class.
"Shielder huh, probably a defensive class then. Not that your lacking a weapon with how massive that shield is". Cu mused, admiring the rather revealing armor the Demi-Servant wore… Until Sonic kicked him in the foot, causing the hero to let out a swear and glare at the hedgehog.
"At the very least, it means we now outnumber Saber three to one". Olga smirked confidently, things may have been going wrong lately but with two Servants and whatever the hell Sonic was, this Singularity was as good as solved!
"Don't forget Saber has the Holy grail, she's got a basically unlimited supply of mana". Cu replied, causing Olga's confidence to disappear. "Although she doesn't have to worry about that any more".
"Huh?". Mashu was confused, before her eyes widened, She was still in her Demi-Servant form yet the mana she was using was far less, something else was supplying her with energy. She followed the trail of energy to… Senpai? "B-but how!? Senpai isn't a mage!".
Sonic was also confused, he'd had some magical adventures but he'd never really done anything magic without something to help. He was no mage and he knew it.
"If I had to guess… You said Sonic gave you some of his energy in the battle against Berserker, you two may have instinctively made a contract. Sonic's weird energy is acting as a mana substitute, or actually being converted by your body into mana". Cu guessed, it was just guesswork but it was the best he could think of.
"Eh, Chaos Energy is weird, I'm not an expert on it even after all this time". Sonic shrugged, Shadow or Knuckles would probably be able to figure it out but Sonic had never really put much thought into Chaos Energy besides how he used it.
Olga suppressed the urge to shout at Sonic again, he kept tearing apart her understanding of the world with his abilities! Yet, she couldn't deny her gratefulness for all the help he had been during this Singularity. Perhaps she could try getting in contact with The Kaledioscope to see if he could send Sonic back to his world?
"Well whatever it is, I'm just glad its helping". Sonic smirked, suppressing another shiver. Why couldn't he shake off the feeling something was watching him? He was confident in his ability to find any spies, yet the feeling of being watched just wouldn't fade. Whoever was watching seemed focused on just him, he could tell that much.
Cu perhaps noticing Sonic's discomfort, took control of the situation.
"Well we're as ready as can be. All thats left is fighting Saber". Cu grinned, it was time to put an end to this nightmare of a Holy Grail War.
"Agreed, this Holy Grail War has gone on long enough! Let's go kick some butt!". Sonic exclaimed, and pulled out the Green Chaos Emerald, the light of the emerald reflecting in his eyes. Excalibur was strong, but could it match the power of a Chaos Emerald? He'd have to see.
Sonic took a deep breath, the entire area was saturated in vile mana, he looked over his team. Cu was tense and on the lookout, Mashu was nervous and fidgeting, while Olga was shivering and glaring about.
He had offered to try making a contract with Cu, but the Caster had replied it was a bad idea till they fully understood how his Chaos Energy worked with Servants. He clenched his fist, Cu was already low on mana if Sonic had to guess, he'd be playing support most likely. Mashu was barley experienced in fighting and even with the skeletons they had fought on the way here, it just didn't cover the massive experience gap between her and everyone else. Leaving him as the main fighter against Saber.
Saber, King Arthur… Artoria Pendragon. He didn't know why he knew he true name, but if he had to guess... Sonic unleashed a small amount of Chaos Energy around his body, the feeling of being spied on disappearing.
He looked into the distance, the sight of the supposed Holy Grail was… Well, he wasn't sure how anyone could call it holy. It reminded him to much of Dark Gaia, a manifestation of pure evil.
"Last chance if anyone wants to back out". Cu asked tensely, he could understand if anyone wanted to run away now, this place was giving him uncomfortable reminders of The Land of Shadows and his teachers hellish training.
"When we're this close? Not a chance". Sonic confidently replied, the Chaos Emerald in his hands sending a warm feeling down his body.
"I-i'm going to fight with Senpai!". Mashu started out shaky, but gained strength as she spoke. She was scared, but as long as she fought with Senpai…
"The Heiress of the Animusphere family won't back down here!". Olga spoke arrogantly, but nobody commented on her still shivering from the mana in the air.
Cu nodded at their answers and they started walking forward again, Sonic looked around the cave, it looked… Off. But he had seen stranger, a weird cave was nothing special.
"So this is where the Greater Grail resides, it seems to be a mix of natural and man made". Olga wondered. "Likely the Grail has modified this cave to be more suitable for it".
"So I know of the Holy Grail from the Arthurian tales, big old pot of magic and all that. But whats so special about this one?". Sonic asked, taking careful note of how close they were getting to the Grail.
"The Holy Grail of legend and the Holy Grail here are two different things, ours if granted enough mana can alter reality. The Holy Grail War was created to gather the needed mana, once six Servants were defeated, the final master and Servant would be granted a wish". Olga explained, pride colouring her words. "My father won a Holy Grail War in the past, using it to gain the funds needed for Chaldea".
"So he had a wish granting artifact, and used it for money, instead of you know, wishing for Chaldea?". Sonic teased, causing the director to become flustered.
"T-that wouldn't cover the money! Or the staff needed! They'd still need pay! My father's wish was well thought out, not a reckless one like you'd make!". Olga spoke, trying to hide her fluster. How was this hedgehog so good at teasing?!
"Eh true, I'd probably just wish for an unlimited supply of chili dogs". Sonic laughed, his good mood and teasing helping to keep the team calm despite the fact their enemy was starting to come within eyesight.
"Funs over, now… Now we get to the final". Cu said, a feral smile across his face, he had been waiting for this for to long now. And Sonic finally got a good look at this world's King Arthur.
She was small, which made sense with the fact she was once an ordinary human. But even so, Sonic expected her to be taller. Her skin looked like she'd never seen the light of day, and her eyes were an ominous gold. Her clothing was a mix of armour and a dress, and in her hands…
He had expected it, but even so the sight of the corrupted Excalibur still felt like a punch to the gut. It wasn't his friend, it was just a sword with no feelings or thoughts, yet it still hurt. That blade was meant to be something that promised hope and victory, yet now all it radiated was darkness and death.
"Pizza's here! I've got an order of pepperoni butt-kicking with your name on it!". Sonic announced, meeting the emotionless gaze of his counterpart with a smirk and a joke. When she had no reaction, he frowned. "Tough crowd tonight huh? Lets see if we can do anything about that".
"...Are you done making jokes? This is the battlefield, your humour has no place here". The corrupted Saber spoke, raising Excalibur up. Her face and gaze was emotionless, more like a doll then anything else. It would send shivers down the spine of any ordinary person…
"Ah jeez! Back me up here guys, theres always room for jokes! Maybe if ya cracked one, you'd get Guinevere to take you to the ball!". Sonic was not exactly an ordinary person, even during a life or death situation he'd still be cracking jokes.
"I don't have much mana left, I'll probably be only good for a few attacks before I start running on fumes". Cu stated, his staff raised and ready to fire all sorts of magic. He may be low on mana, but no way he was going out without a fight.
"I-i'll do my best to support you Senpai!". Mashu nervously clenched her shield, she may have the abilities of a Servant but she had none of the experience. However when Sonic just turned back and smiled, her nerves faded.
"Nah, you two still aren't in top condition. I wanna fight her on my own for a bit". Sonic's statement was met with stares of shock, he wasn't serious was he!?
"ARE YOU CRAZY!? That's King Arthur! One of the strongest Saber's in existence, and she's being powered up by a Holy Grail! You'll be slaughtered!". Olga moved forward to slap this idiot, but was blocked by Cu's hand. "What?!".
"Let him do it". Cu stated calmly, not just to Olga but to Mashu as well. "Look at him, he has absolute confidence he can do this. Not just that, he has something personal going on here to".
To Cu, it reminded him of his own situation with Archer. He had never got to bring up his desire to fight the bowman one on one, but he still got he desire granted anyway. Sonic's desire to battle Saber was something else, something personal and he had no intention to interfere in it.
"S-senpai…". Mashu trailed off fearfully, why? She finally had the strength to help him yet she was being pushed away. But after seeing Sonic's expression, something within her instinctively understood this part of the fight belonged to Sonic alone.
"Chill out, I got this! I'm Sonic the Hedgehog after all, Hero of Mobius and fastest thing alive!". Sonic gave them all one last confidence smirk before turning to face Saber. The corrupted Servant hadn't done anything while they were talking, but her gaze had never left the hedgehog.
"Foolish, you have the numbers advantage yet you throw it away to fight me by yourself?". Saber asked, her expression still remaining blank.
"Eh, it'd be rude ya know? I've already had enough complaints about honour in my life". Sonic replied, performing a very stretches before the fight would begin. "What about you Arti? Fan of honour?".
"Honour is worthless on a battlefield, your strength is the only thing that matters". She almost spat the word honour out, as if it had personally offended her. Sonic frowned, was this really this world's King Arthur…?
"Man you are gruuummpy! When was the last time you ate anything? I get cranky when I'm hungry to". Sonic smirked, his words actually gaining a slight twitch in Saber's expression, so there was emotions behind that mask.
"Cease your worthless prattle, you and I both know whats at stake here, yet you act as if you are as free as the wind". Artoria raised her blade, mana starting to spark off Excalibur's blackened form.
"The wind's the only master I run beside, what can I say, tyranny never fit me". The hero joked again, Chaos Energy travelling around his body and causing blue sparks to appear around it. The two were now walking up to each other, both radiating their own energy.
"A tyrant is what Camelot needed, not a free willed king who ran away from his responsibilities". Where before Saber's voice was emotionless, now something was beginning to seethe in, frustration.
"Then you and I had very different Camelot's, what those people needed was freedom, not another king pushing his will onto them". Sonic replied, tyranny is the one thing he could never accept and the fact his counterpart so willing spoke of it…
"Then you and I shall disagree eternally". Artoria spoke, the time for words was over. She raised Excalibur and went for a quick slash, the air rumbling from the blow and the earth cracking. However while she had incredible strength, she had lost something in return.
Sonic's eyes widened and he leapt over the blade aiming for his skull, his opponent was slow but every attack had massive force behind it. If he got hit, yea just best not to get hit! He quickly delivered a kick to her side and winced, what was with every Servant having insane durability!? He he to quickly zip back to avoid a much faster sword slash, Saber visibly glowing with magical energy.
With an explosion of magical energy, Saber launched herself at Sonic who barley ducked under her blade, but was unprepared for a kick to the head, launching him towards a wall. But the hedgehog hero quickly recovered and rolled into a ball, launching himself right back at his counterpart. Sonic however was surprised by the sight of a black ribbon acting as a barrier for Saber, and had to quickly spin dash away to avoid another earth-shattering sword swing.
Frowning, Sonic's mind quickly raced. Maybe trying to fight Saber on his own was a bad idea… But he could see it, feel it, where before it had started as simply getting the feeling someone was watching him, now he knew it was more. A connection existed between them, a connection between King Arthur's.
Where he had no regret, she was filled with it. He couldn't just… Leave her like that could he? No! He refused, if he lost here then her path would be right, that wasn't something Sonic could accept! He'd show Artoria are a better path, with his own two hands!
The Green Chaos Emerald in his quills began to glow and he pulled it out, the green light reflecting in his eyes. Saber took a wary step back, while Excalibur's colours began flickering between black and silver, as if reacting to the light of the Chaos Emerald.
"Alright Saber! Let's see how ya deal with this!". Sonic smirked, his body covered by green Chaos Energy, he quickly stored the Emerald back into his quills and launched forward towards Saber, who attempted to behead Sonic with a single strike but he just leaned under the corrupted blade and delivered a powerful kick to Saber's chest.
Saber stumbled back, the air knocked out of her lungs but she quickly recovered and covered herself in her own magical energy, Excalibur clashed against Sonic's Chaos Energy aura, the blade slowly but surely starting to cleave through. Sonic however just smirked and grabbed the blade of Excalibur, channelling his own energy down the blade.
Excalibur rapidly began shifting between silver and black, the magical energy of Saber fighting against Sonic's Chaos Energy. Saber sent more energy down the blade, causing it to stay corrupted and raising it into the air, Sonic losing his grip on the blade and rolling back to avoid another earth-cracking sword slash.
"Come on Arti! Where's ya technique? Your just throwing a bunch of power about!". Sonic teased, ducking under another sword swipe and leaping into the sky to avoid the strange black ribbons trying to grab him, he curled into a ball and homing attacked Saber. But using the blunt side of Excalibur as a baseball bat, she just knocked him into a wall.
Artoria rushed through the dust cloud and brought her blade down where Sonic should've been, but found nothing of her target. Instincts screaming, she ducked under a blade of Chaos Energy infused wind.
"You are stronger then expected, but as long as I wield this blade, your victory is impossible!". Saber exclaimed, Excalibur glowing with black light and mana beginning to swirl around her. She was ready to end this.
"Ya know, I was planning the same thing!". Sonic raised the Chaos Emerald into the air, energy sparking around him. He needed to wait for the perfect moment to do this, while Artoria began chanting.
"Sink into the Mountain of corpses….". Saber raised Excalibur into the air, massive amounts of blackened mana coming off the blade and a crushing pressure filling the cave. "Collapse! EXCALIBUR MORGAN!".
The blade of corrupted mana fell down towards Sonic, who only smirked and readied the energy within both him and the Chaos Emerald.
"Chaos… CONTROL!". Sonic cried out, time coming to a stop. That feeling of something fighting against his Chaos Control was there again, he'd need to act quickly. Sonic zipped about, using his legs to launch blades of wind and Chaos Energy towards Saber from every direction, he'd also made sure many were aimed towards Excalibur, to lessen the power of the blade if it still hit the ground.
"And now, time resumes!". Sonic smirked, time resuming and Saber was hit with Chaos Energy infused wind from every direction, her Noble Phantasm interrupted and her body now littered with wounds, the armour cracked and dented. However, the power of the Holy Grail was still in play and before Sonic's eyes, Artoria started to rapidly heal, even her armour fixing itself.
"A… Valiant effort". She spoke, breath coming out slowly. She may have access to near infinite mana, but that didn't cover exhaustion and after what she was just hit with, her stamina had taken a loss. "However, I have the Holy Grail, no matter what you do, I shall heal from it and keep fighting".
"Yea, can't really disagree there. But there's another difference between you and me". Sonic smiled and pointed, Artoria following his finger and paling, how had she forgotten!? "I'm not fighting alone!".
"Timber giant, eaten away by fire! Become a cage of flames, WICKER MAN!". Cu finished chanting, emerging from the ground was a giant of wood, its chest similar to a cage and flames covering its form. Artoria's eyes widened and she leapt away to avoid its hands trying to grab her.
She kept trying to avoid it, but the arts of the Celtic Druids were not to be denied so easily. Eventually a hand would grab her and toss her into its chest, the cage closing and no matter what she attempted, it would not break. The timber giant burned, flames consuming Saber and then it slammed into the ground. Smoke covered the area, before being blown away by a burst of magical energy from Saber.
She was injured again, yet her healing wasn't as fast as before. Pieces of her armour were completely gone and showed no signs of being restored, yet she was still not defeated.
"You… you dare disturb our duel!?". She asked furiously, but Cu and Sonic just smirked at her.
"Weren't you the one who said honour was worthless on the battlefield Saber? Me and Blue are just taking your words to heart!". Cu laughed, his mana was at an all time low yet he had never felt more alive!
"You should think about what you say more carefully next time Arti! Your not just fighting me, but my friends as well!". Sonic smirked, confidence radiating off him. Artoria let out an inhumane growl and raised Excalibur once again, massive amounts of magical energy travelling down the blade.
Sonic and Cu both rushed towards her, to keep the fight up and not give Saber time to heal.
A few minutes ago.
Mashu watched the battle before her in awe, despite being outmatched once again Sonic was fighting on equal terms with Saber, King Arthur. She was a bit confused about what they had been talking about and fully intended to ask Senpai about it later.
"Mashu, stay focused, we'll need to drop in soon". Cu spoke, grabbing her attention. But he had agree to… "I know I agreed to stay out, but Sonic can't put her down without the Holy Grail healing her. We need to deal so much damage she can't heal back from it again".
"How? The Holy Grail's mana stores are massive, it will take hours to get through it!". She asked urgently, Senpai still hadn't had a proper rest and wouldn't be able keep up fighting for that long!
"I'll hit her with my Noble Phantasm after she's unleashed hers, that sword takes up a massive amount of mana, that plus healing from my Noble Phantasm will slow her down for a bit. She'll try unleashing her sword again eventually, when she does you need to block it, which will give me and Sonic a chance to finish her off with a combined attack". Cu explained his plan and Mashu could only nod along nervously.
Could she block it? The power of the sacred sword of the planet? Her shield had taken hits from Heracles without cracking, but could it block Excalibur's light?
"Hey, don't think about it, feel. That shield responds to your will, as long as your will to protect stands, that shield will never fall". Cu said confidently, fully believing she could stop Excalibur yet…
S-she wasn't sure she could, yet as she watched Sonic keep fighting, she knew she had to try.
"Sink into the mountain of corpses…". Saber began chanting and Mashu paled, now!? Cu rushed forward and began chanting for his own Noble Phantasm. She watched as… Something occurred that let Sonic attack from every direction and stop Excalibur's light, and then as Cu's Wicker Man hit Saber and damaged her even more.
Now Cu and Sonic fought together, Cu playing the role of support while Sonic kept acting as the main fighter. She clenched her shield tightly, what was she going to do to help…?
"H-hey…". Someone unexpected spoke, Mashu locked gaze with a still nervous Olga. "You're Chaldea's greatest success, the first Demi-Servant to ever exist! You've fought against Heracles, you can't cower before Saber!".
Olga's words were messy and not exactly motivating, yet… Warmth filled Mashu, her Senpai believed in her, Cu believed in her, and even the Director believed in her! She focused her gaze onto the current battle, she wouldn't fail, not when everyone believed in her!
Soon, her moment would come as King Arthur raised Excalibur once again, corrupted mana flowing around it and ready to unleash her Noble Phantasm. Mashu rushed forward, her shield in front of her and stood between the corrupted king and her allies.
"The shield that protects our comrades… The light that heals all wounds… Pseudo-Deployment!". The words flowed, yet the name wouldn't come. She slammed her shield into the ground, her magical energy spreading out and forming an illusionary castle, a symbol of the protection she would give her comrades.
Excalibur's blackened light slammed into the illusionary castle, which held as strong as if its bricks were real. She grit her teeth and poured more mana into it, no she couldn't fall here…!
"CHAOS SPEAR!". The voice of her Senpai cried out, who in a blur of speed launched a spear of energy forward that clashed against Excalibur's beam, pushing it back and letting her shield stand strong.
Eventually the light of Excalibur would fade as would her own Noble Phantasm, Mashu smiled, she had done it.
Now, they just needed to finish off Saber while she was weakened!
Sonic smirked, so Mashu could pull out some kinda magic castle? Man, Servants really had some weird and awesome abilities! But now, as he stared at Saber…
She was exhausted, she was running on fumes. He could take her out with a single Chaos Spear yet… He stashed the Emerald in his quills and walked up to her. She stood ready for the last battle.
They both moved at once, she attempted to impale him upon Excalibur but he ducked under it and kicked the blade out of her hands, the sacred sword flying through the air and impaling itself into the ground. She tried countering with a punch to his chest and succeeded, but he swept her feet out from under her and performed a point blank homing attack to her chest.
Saber was blown back, slamming into a wall, her armour all but destroyed at this point. She tried to stand but fell to one knee, golden sparks coming off her body.
"I… see… Even with the Holy Grail, this is the furthest I can go…". She spoke disappointed, her eyes locked with Sonic, green meeting gold. "I suppose congratulations are in order, you've defeated me".
"And I wish it hadn't come to this, did you really have to go so far?". Sonic asked and Saber laughed bitterly.
"As long as this Singularity was maintained, the incineration would not start. This isn't the end, it is just the beginning". She spoke, confusing Sonic. "You're Grand Order has just begun my counterpart…".
She trailed off, her words unfinished as she fully turned to golden sparks. Sonic frowned, what did she mean it had just begun? And what was a Grand Order?
"Grand Order… How did she know that name…?". Olga wondered aloud, before her eye was drawn to something that had appeared after Saber's disappearance. A shining golden chalice, its identity obvious to everyone.
Sonic was about to reach towards it, but he was distracted by something else.
Clap, clap, clap.
Slow, methodic clapping echoed around the cave as someone walked out of the shadows.
"My my, I truly hadn't expected you to reach this far… Rodent". The face of Lev Lainur spoke with a cruel grin, his hands grabbing the Holy Grail and seemingly admiring the object.
"Lev…? LEV!". Olga attempted to run towards him, but Cu was faster and grabbed her.
