Chapter 1 First Day of School

Tsukasa's POV

I woke up when I heard my alarm before turning it off.

Then…I remembered what day it was, and I sat up it my futon excitedly.

"This is it", I exclaimed. "Today is the first day at my new school! I must ensure that I make a good first impression!"

With that, I got up and ready for the day ahead.

Afterwards, I walked into the living room; where I saw Natsu making breakfast in the kitchen.

Since we would be attending the same school, he offered to let me move into his apartment with him.

"Good morning, Natsu", I greeted.

"Good morning, Tsukasa", Natsu greeted. "Are you ready for your first day at your new school?"

"Yes", I replied excitedly. "I am ready."

"I'm glad that you're excited", Natsu started. "But remember what I told you. This school doesn't go easy on its student, and I heard it's especially tough for the students in the musical theater program."

"Natsu", I started. "You forget who you are talking to. I am the world's future number one star! I can handle any challenge that this school throws at me!"

"If you say so", Natsu said. "Good luck, Tsukasa."

I had arrived at the school, and when I got there…I was greeted by a familiar face.

"Greetings, Tsukasa", they said when they saw me.

"Greetings, Sakurako."

That's right. Sakurako and I were both now attending the same music school. I've actually known about this for a while, but we were both so busy with our shows that we never got a moment to really talk about it.

"Today marks our first day at this school", Sakurako pointed out. "Are you ready for the challenges that await us?"

"I am the world's future number one star", I pointed out. "And nothing will stand in my way of that!"

"That's what I like to hear", Sakurako stated. "Now then, let's get going."

Currently, the head of the musical theater program was addressing the new first year students.

"Since you all passed the auditions to attend this school, you may think that you have what it takes to make it in the world of musical theater", she started. "But do not be fooled. The audition was the easy part. It is the next four years at this school that will determine if you have what it takes to make it. That's is, if you don't drop out before then."

This speech made many of the students quiver with fear, but for me…it made me determined to prove myself even more!

Our first class of the day was our acting class, and the teacher was currently giving us our assignment.

"For your first acting assignment of the year, you will have one week to prepare a monologue to act out", he revealed. "It can be from any piece of media of your choice."

When I heard this…a smile came to my face.

"Why are you smiling like that", Sakurako asked.

"Because I already know which monologue to do", I revealed. "I will re-enact a monologue from my role as Thorpe!"

"Hmm", Sakurako started as she began thinking. "That's a good idea, but you're forgetting something."

"Which is", I asked.

"Do you know how to act in English?"

It was my first day at my new school, and I already ran into a problem.
