Chapter 27: The Crest known thing...
(October 19. the Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
We go to the bedroom of Lincoln Loud and Luna Loud, and even though some of their sisters are home, the place is not noisy. The siblings are talking about what went down the other day. "So, we don't know who is Katie Crest, and if we try searching online, we might get little results" replied Lincoln.
"No kidding" replied Luna. "Spoke with Sully and Mazzy, and they don't know who she is, and I messaged Tabby and she doesn't know, and I tried to look online, and all I got is that Katie Crest is a musical manager who is planning a big tour in the summer next year, and with Mick Swagger joining. We have reached a dead end, and we don't know who this lady is."
Lincoln then realizes what she just said. "Wait, wait. We have someone who might know her..."
Luna knows who he means. "Mom..." With that, Lincoln and Luna leave their room, and they pass by Luan who is headed to the restroom, and she seems concerned about what is going on, and so she decides to listen in on whatever is happening with her brother and older sister.
In the living room, Michelle is going through the very large book made by Rita, and she sees the two kids are in front of her. "Hey kids, sorry I was checking out this book that Rita made, and this thing doesn't make sense to me. I mean, what in the heck am I reading? This thing is a mess, and I doubt anyone would wanna publish this book of chaos."
Lincoln then explains. "Her book is like that, this is the manuscript which makes little sense. More than 100 notebooks."
"Actually, there are 108 notebooks" replied Michelle. "Still, this is a waste of paper, and just a total cluster. Rita needs some serious help and advice." She then looks to Lincoln and Luna. "So, what can I do for you kids?"
Lincoln and Luna look to each other and nod, and then they ask. "Do you know who Katie Crest is?"
Michelle goes wide eyed and she doesn't look happy, and that means she does know. "How did you kids come by this name?"
Luna is the one who explains. "She was here, in Royal Woods the other day. We met her at the Park, and then she offered me to be part of her Summer Country Rock n' Roll tour, but I turned it down and she didn't seem to take it well, despite that she left and said... She would come back for when I change my mind. But I made up my mind and I am not doing it."
Lincoln then asks. "Mom, what do you know of Katie Crest?"
Michelle sighs. "Kids, sit down and let me tell you about her." Lincoln and Luna join her on the couch and then Michelle explains about this woman and how she knows her. "Alright, so yes it is true that Katie Crest is a musical manager, and she wants to be the big time lady for the job. She was also the former judge of the show America's Next Hit Maker, alongside Doug and myself."
"Doug Rockwell and Katie Crest, they were on again and off again lovers, and they legit like each other, but Katie Crest didn't like me. She defied me for my looks and my attractive appearance, and she believed that Doug Rockwell liked me, but we don't like each other. He was my manager back then, we were just friends... Well, partners."
That one is something they didn't see coming, and then Michelle continues. "Then something stupid happened. Doug caught Katie Crest, trying to change, and alter the plans of the show, and even try to start her own show and make her own dreams come true, but Doug got super miffed, and he wasn't going to let that fly, and so we came to a conclusion and fired her for her actions."
"But still, even after that Doug loved her still, and he waited for when she would come crawling back to the show, but she never did and instead she managed a band, a rock n' roll band. But that band perished when they're bus crashed, leaving Katie Crest the lone survivor, and she explained the band went crazy and misguided, and so did the driver."
"But I know that it is all not true. Tha band was never crazy, which means something went down to the real reason why the bus crashed. Because I have known Katie Crest for some time, and I know that she is manipulative, she doesn't like it when folks say no to her demands, and she also hates kids. She did almost got booted from Hollywood, after she pushed over a kid on a wheelchair to get to first in line."
Michelle Lewis seems concerned, and she looks to Lincoln and Luna. "Kids, Katie Crest is dangerous and she will not stop till she gets what she wants, and it seems that she has her sights set on you Luna, because you are someone she thinks she can control, but you can't let her get the best of you. I don't want you to fall in line with that wretched woman who is pretty much the female version of Doug Rockwell, but I know you can handle this and get her off your back, right?"
Luna nods. "I won't let her trick me mom, I promise. She can't be able to use anything on me, I am a responsible person and touring around the world is something I don't wanna do. I got everything I need here, especially my little brother." Luna pulls Lincoln close to her, and he chuckles from this.
Michelle Lewis is happy to see that Luna can handle this, and yet she has concerns about what plans Katie Crest might have to try and get Luna to go on tour. 'I need to make my own plan, a plan to ensure that wretched banshee doesn't come and claim my daughter, Katie Crest is literally dead to me!'
Just then Michelle gets a message from her phone, and she sees who sent her a photo and she is surprised. "Whoa. Lynn and her team won the basketball game!"
"What?!" Lincoln and Luna go over, and see the photo of Lynn, and her team, they won and Flip is there giving them one Flippie, with multiple straws. That is so cheap of him, and seeing this means that the advice from Michelle paid off, and now Lynn has accomplished the sport of basketball, with team work.
But they don't know that Luan heard everything and she is deeply concerned about this. 'When the time is right, I tell the others and then we can all help out in dealing with this pesky Katie Crest.'
(At a Hotel far from Royal Woods.)
This is where Katie Crest is, the same hotel where the Louds went to from the episode known as "Suite and Sour." Katie Crest is still pondering about what had happened the other day, and she is not pleased.
"I need to find some new plan to get Luna Loud to become part of the tour. I promised that she would be there, and everyone believes it. That idiot, Mick Swagger believes it. This is so stupid, and I can't even get SMOOCH or other rock bands to come and be part of it."
"Luna Loud is the key to what I seek, and perhaps then Doug Rockwell will be impressed, that he will come running back to me, and we can take the reins and make this dream of being co-managers to this stupid teenage girl, together! There has to be some way, but what?"
Katie Crest then goes to her laptop, and she goes through the footage of Luna Loud, and her band and little brother, when they performed on America's Next Hit Maker, and then won. She then spots at the end, when Lincoln and Luna embrace each other, and that means they are close to each other, as the best of siblings.
This makes Katie Crest grin and snicker. "Oh, I think I just found the leverage I needed, to ensure that Luna Loud follows my words, and becomes part of the tour."
