"Demon Secrets Witches and Wizards"
Luke POV
Right now I'm standing on the other side of a door with a weird demon looking creature staring right at me. I've never seen this place before nor have I ever seen this thing before in my life but for some reason it feels like this isn't our first meeting.
Little Demon: [smiles] Well aren't you going to come in?
Me: [crosses my arms] And then risk getting devoured by you no thanks.
Little Demon: [chuckles] Ah cautious as always. [gets up and begins to walk around] Worry not child I won't harm you, after all this is our room.
Me: [confused] What?
Little Demon: I'll explain more once you come in.
Part of me is saying don't do it, it's a trap you'll die, but then the other part of me wants answers like who is this? What is he? And why does he call this place our room? So I decided to walk in the room. As i'm doing so I started to notice some clothes were beginning to form on me.(Now thinking about it I didn't have any clothes on when I was on the other side of the door). Not going to lie I kind of like it. I was wearing a pin-striped black suit with a red dress shirt, black tie, and matching black shoes. Black has always been a good look on me.
Little demon: Well don't you look great.
Me: [glares] Alright I'm in what do you want?
Little demon: Now now no need to be rude. [goes over to the record player] How about some music to ease the mood?
Soul Eater - Jazz Music
It's that same song again.
Little demon: [walks] Like it quite relaxing ain't it. [sits in the chair] Come take a seat.
I just continue to stare at him but I know I won't get any answers just by standing and glaring at him all day.
Me: [takes a seat on the other side] So music but no drink what kind of host are [a teacup appears in both our hands full of coffee] you?
Little demon: [smiles] I am a kind host or more like a kind helper.
Me: [confused] Helper?
Little demon: Remember I was the one who helped you summon the sword.
I started to remember the events that took place back with wrath. Now his voice sounded familiar.
Me: [looks at my teacup] So that was you?
Little Demon: Yes it was [drinks the coffee] Now I know you have a lot of questions
Me: Yea like who the hell puts coffee in a teacup? That's just ass backwards.
Little Demon: [Laughs] HAHAHAH! Yes it is quite strange but then again you're used to strange aren't you.
Me: Yea [picks the teacup up] I guess I am [begins to drink it]
Little Demon: Hehe i'm surprised you didn't ask if it was poison.
Me: Let's just say life is all about risk and I've been taking a lot of risks since I got here. Also I feel like if you wanted to kill me you would have used something more deadly than poison.
Little Demon: Quite the perceptive one aren't you?
Me: [puts the teacup down] Alright now I've got questions for you.
Little Demon: And I have answers but however we are low on time so I can only answer three and I can only give you the short version.
Me(mind): Of course guess this is what I get for being cautious.
Little Demon: Yes indeed.
Me: [shocked] What how.. Did you
Little Demon: [points his thumb at a clock] Tick tock.
Me: [regains my composure] Ok What is this place?
Little Demon: Well as I said this is our world we call it the black room.
Me: [confused] What?
Little Demon: You see everyone has a place where they can call their second home. Where it be the Library, school, park, ect. It's a place where they feel most comfortable. This is what the black room is for us: it's a place where we can finally get away and relax and escape from the outside world.
Me: Why am I just now finding this room then?
Little Demon: Is that your second question?
Me: [grunts but sighs] Yes
Little Demon: Building things takes time and hard work. When you were busy handling the stress of life, I was busy building this room for you and I to share and relax in, and thanks to the magic around the boiling Isle I was able to get it done faster.
Me: Magic?
Little Demon: Yes you see this room would have taken a little bit longer to form due to the lack of magic the human world has. But thanks to the magic the Boiling Isle provided for me I was able to create it with little to no effort at all.
Me: [beginning to understand] So this whole room
Little Demon: Is made up of magic, The same magic that was provided for you to summon the blade that stabbed Wrath. And it will continue to grow the longer you're in the boiling isles.
Me: Right.
Little Demon: [smiles] Now then we have time for one more question.
Me: You keep on saying "our" over and over again so i'm going to ask this once. [stares right at the demon] What are you?
Silence.
Little Demon: [Huge grin] Can't you tell? [Demonic voice] I. Am. You.
Me: W-what?
Suddenly the door opens and a bright light is flooding the room causing everything to slowly disappear.
Little Demon: [sighs] I really hate the light that's when our magic is at its weakest. The night is where we draw our true power.
Me: Wait what!? [slowly see my arms and legs fading away] WHAT THE-
Little Demon: You're always so dramatic. Just calm down your only waking up. [gets up from his chair] Word of advice: if you want to chat more, go to a dark place then we can talk more. [begins to walk towards a door away from the light] Until then [opens it and begins to walk in it] stay alive.
Me: [Tries to reach for him] WAIT HOLD ON I STILL-
But it's too late the door is shut and I am consumed by the light as my body begins to completely fade away. I slowly start to open my eyes and notice the same ceiling I stared at before I went to sleep. I got up roughly as I looked around my surroundings and noticed that I'm back in the owl house.
Luz: [in the other room] It wasn't a dream! Good morning, terrifying fantasy world.
I ended up hearing Luz shout from the other side of the room. It seems she's right that the events that happened yesterday were real. Then that would mean-
?: Good Morning! [sounds of water splashing]
.. Just going to ignore that. Anyway I start to look around the room and notice it's still the same as we left it, junk all over the place.
Me: [scratches the back of my head] Jeez Y/n at least try to keep it- [realized] Wait a second where is Y/N?
Y/N pov
I started to walk around the woods of the Boiling Isle, and I got to say this place is not half bad. I kept wondering how come he never brought me here. I mean, there have been some wild creatures trying to eat me, poisonous plants, and insects- ok nevermind I see why. But still beside all the wild life here this place isn't so bad.
Me: Welp this was fun but I should probably head back. My friends are going to kill me if I [hears something in the bushes] Who's there?
I took out my sword and held it tightly waiting for whatever it was to come out of the bushes. The rustling became louder and louder. I was brace for whatever came out. Soon the thing came out of the bushes and….. It was not what I expected it to be. What came out was a red baby dragon that was on all fours. It had 4 pointy spikes, 2 on its head, and the other 2 on its wings and spikes going all the way down its back to its tail. It had green eyes with a black slit pupil. I started to put away my sword and stared at the baby dragon.
Me: uhh [waves] hey how's it going?
It just stared at me with confusion.
Me: uhhhh what are you doing in the forest?
It just kept staring at me.
Me: [begins to sweat] uhh right can't talk huh [starts to walk away] well i'm going to-
I started to hear rumbling. I look back to see the little guy looking up at an apple. It tried to jump and reach it but it was out of its reach. It kept jumping and jumping but no success of him getting to the apple. He started to whimper. I started to wonder why it didn't use its wings to fly and get it, but I decided to help him out.
Me: [walks towards him] Hey don't worry little guy I got it [jumped up and grabbed the apple] Here you go little guy [put the apple down]
He went up and sniffed the apple, as he took a bite I noticed some kind of juice that came out of it and it was….. Really red. Well ok then. As he finished the apple he began to walk towards me and started sniffing me. I bent down and started rubbing his head.
Me: hehe glad I can help, little guy.
He started licking my hand and I couldn't help but find it adorable, almost as adorable as- OH CRAP!
Me: [stood up] Hey listen I gotta ok [started running] Let's meet again sometime stay out of trouble ok!?
Luz POV
I started to have a dream of me Y/N and Luke being sent to a world where magic and witches exist. When we discovered the Y/N was a child of a legendary dragon slayer and king of dragons. We also defeated an evil jail warden wrath and freed prisoners that were captured for being who they are. Eventually I woke up with a loud gasp, and looked around my surroundings and noticed I'm not home nor at a summer camp. I also notice King (the adorable creature) was at the foot of my bed. That's what made me realize that it wasn't a dream.
Me: [whispers] It wasn't a dream. [Yells] It wasn't a dream! [Opens a window] Good morning, terrifying fantasy world.
Weird sea monster: [waving at me] Good morning. [sinks into the ocean]
Ok that was strange. I closed the window and walked up to King who was still asleep.
Me: [picks up King] Good morning, you little cutie‐pie. [kisses his head repeatedly]
King: I am not your cutie-pie.
Me: Yes, you are. [hugs him tightly before putting him back down on her sleeping bag]
King: [sighs] I know.
I started to change my clothes and walk up to both Y/N and Luke's room. Maybe Y/N might be able to talk to me about his teacher. I started knocking at the door and was surprised when Luke answered it, usually he sleeps longer around this time.
Luke: [rubs the back of his head] Hey Luz what's up?
Me: oh yea sorry did I wake you up?
Luke: Nah I woke up to a sound of giant water splashing. [glares] Care to explain?
Me: [sweats and starts whistling] hehe nope don't know anything about monsters and water.
Luke: uh-huh [crosses his arm] So what do you want?
Me: oh right I wanted to know if Y/N was here?
Luke: [smiles] What so you both can go to the woods and make out?
Me: [blushes bright red] WHAT NO LUKE IT'S NOT LIKE THAT!
Luke: [little chuckles] Relax I was only kidding.
Me: [crosses my arms and turns away from him] Why do you always find the need to do that?
Luke: [mumbles]
Me: [turns around] What was that?
Luke: [smiles] Oh nothing but anyway I don't know where Y/N is, he wasn't here when I woke up.
Me: [shocked] Really [starts to panic] where could he-
Luke: [pats my head] calm down Luz. Y/N is a big boy he'll be fine.
Luz: [looks down and smiles] Yes you're right.
Luke: Besides he wouldn't leave his future wife all alone would he.
After he said that I began to blush mad red as I shoved Luke back inside the room as he fell on the ground.
Luke: Worth it.
Me: [still blushing] JERK! [walks away]
3rd POV
After the little event that played out, Luke got up from the floor and began to look around for a bathroom. After spending time looking around for a bathroom he finally found one.
Luke: [reads] Ladies and king huh? Well either the title needs to change or we need a new bathroom. [opens the door and owls appear] Ahhh! Geez I can now see why they call her the owl lady.
Luke began to look around the bathroom.
Luke: [impressed] Got to say this place is not half-
Hooty: Hiha Luke!
Luke: [panics] AHHHHH! [punches Hooty in the face]
Hooty: Ow! I just wanted to say good Morning [retreats to the front door] Sheesh! Hoot! Ow!
Luke: [scratches the back of his head] Whoops uh sorry hooty (Geez don't sneak up on me like that)
Meanwhile Luz was looking around the house.
Luz: Alright, old girl. Your first day on the Boiling Isles, as a Witch Apprentice. [punches the air] Hyah! [opens a closet door while covering her eyes] Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes. Please have witchy clothes. [takes her hand off her eyes and sees a closet full of stereotypical witchy stuff] Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! [screams]
Just then Luz hears the front door open with someone she was excited to hear.
Y/N: Im back
Luke: [Walks down stairs] There you are [walks up to Y/N] Geez where the hell were you?
Y/N: [scratches the back of his head] Sorry I wanted to explore the forest, you won't believe what I saw out there.
Luke: Well you can explain when we have breakfast i'm pretty sure your girlfriend would like to hear all about it.
Y/N: Ok. Wait. [processing what Luke just said. Then reality hits] LUKE! [Blushing madly]
Luke: [chuckles] Hehehe works every time.
Y/N was about to jump at Luke until he noticed something was on his head and on Luke's head.
Y/N: [starts to feel what's on his head] Uh what is this?
Luke: [Feels it too] And where did it come from?
They both heard some giggling and turned their heads. They saw Luz in a black witch robe with a hat that matches, and a name tag that says "Hi my name is: Witch Apprentice Luz".
Luke: [confused] uhh Luz what is [Crazy arm Gestures] all this?
Luz: [excited] She has witches clothes!
Luke: uh-huh.
Y/N: Wait where are our name tags?
Luz pulls out two name tags one says the "Dragon slayer Y/N" and the other one said the "Moody wizard Luke"
Luke: [angry tick] Moody huh?
Luz: [smiles] Come me, we all know it's true. [grabs Y/N and Luke's hand] Let's go, Eda is probably waking up by now [drags them to the staircase.]
The three friends made it to the bottom of the staircase as they waited for Eda. Luke had his hands crossed with a small smile on his face, Luz was standing with her arms by her side with a huge smile (Y/N found it adorable), and Y/N had his hands behind his head with a smile ready to learn more about this world. They hear the toilet flush as Eda exited the bathroom. She yawned and looked down at the three friends.
Luz: Good morning, Eda the Owl Lady. We are ready for our first day of Witch Apprenticeship.
Y/N: [pumps his heads up] I'm excited to learn.
Luke: [smirks] So teacher what's the first lesson?
Eda: Ugh! [shakes some spiders out of her hair]
Luke(mind): (Geez did she at least take a shower)
Eda: [digs in her ear pulls out a spider and flicks it away] Who are you three again?
Both Y/N and Luz look in shock as their name tags fell down on the floor. Meanwhile Luke
Luke: [facepalms] You have got to be kidding me.
Was being Luke.
The scene cuts to everyone walking towards the kitchen as Y/N and Luz try to get Eda to remember them.
Luz: Its us remember [points to herself] I'm luz the human? The one that wants to be a witch. [Looks at Luke and Y/N]
Luke: [sighs and points to himself] Luke Martins? The guy that kicked the warden with [points a Y/N] him so your ass didn't get cut into. Ringing any bells?
Y/N: And I'm Y/N, Y/N Dragneel remember? The guy that wants to understand how to control his fire?
Eda: [pours in red liquid] Kids lay off with the details. I haven't had my daily cup of apple blood yet.
Y/N&Luz: You mean apple juice?
Eda: No. [takes a sip]
Luke: Well that's not creepy at all [sees king stabbing some yell bulb and eyeballs] So what are you eating?
King: Scrambled eggs and eyeballs [takes a bit while the others feel disgusted. Brings his spoon to Luke] Want some?
Luke: [stares at it then shrugs his shoulders] Eh sure why not? [takes a bite, begins to chew and swallow] Huh shockingly not as bad as I thought it would be. [everyone looks at Luke] What?
Luz: A-anyway [breaks out of shock and faces Eda] Teach me some spells. When do I get a magic staff? Was I supposed to bring my own runes? [gasps] Do you have a dangerous magical quest for me?
Eda: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down, kid. Being a witch doesn't happen overnight. Also, you're wrapped in a bathrobe and wearing the dirtiest traffic cone I've ever seen.
Luz takes off the "Witches Hat" and blows on it to reveal a traffic cone. As both Luke and Y/N did the same as King laughed.
Eda: [wipes away the apple blood] But a magic staff huh? Do you really want one?
Luz: [determine] More than anything.
Eda: [smirks and extends her hand] Magic staff come to me!
Everyone waited patiently for Eda staff to come, then they started to hear noises coming from the halls. Eda was looking proud while everyone else was looking with confusion.
Eda: Oh by the way Luke you're cleaning that up.
Luke: [sighs] Of course.
Eda started to notice it was taking too long so she turned her head only to receive a smack to the face by her staff.
Luke: [tries to contain his laugh] You ok there "mighty" owl lady.
Eda: [grunts and picks the staff up, spinning it before tapping it on the ground While glaring at Luke] It's early. Now, witches are awarded their staff from school. With me as your teacher, you three will be taking a different approach.
Luke: I'm going to regret asking this but how so.
Eda:[drops a bag of potions onto the floor] You'll have to work for it.
Luke: [pinches the bridge of his nose] Of course.
Eda: [leads the kids through the living room] I run a few businesses. On weekends, I offer rare human treasures that Owlbert drags over from your side of the realm. [pulls out a toy sword and press the button]
Sword: I shall smite my enemies! Ages six to eleven.
Luke: A child's weapon for a grown child makes sense [gets hit in the head with Eda's staff] Ow! [falls face first on the ground]
Eda: [tosses the sword at Luke's head] But most days I sell only the finest homemade elixirs and potions.
Y/N: [pulls out a bottle from the bag] "Snake oil"?
Eda: No one wants and un-oiled snake. Follow me.
Everyone is on top of the balcony.
Eda: Today you'll deliver packages and sell potions to that town over there, Bonesborough. You'll have to be careful. I have rivals everywhere who'd love to take my business down and you along with it. You wanted a dangerous magical quest? Kids, you've got one.
Luke: [cross arms] So our first mission is to deliver your potions?
Eda: [smiles] Yep
Luke was about to say something until Luz beat him to the punch.
Luz: We won't let you down, Miss Eda.
When Luz turned to salute Eda she accidentally hit the bag knocking off the edge. However Y/N was able to catch it before it fell, unfortunately he ended up too close to the edge and ended up falling off it and landing on the ground with the bag on top of him.
Y/N: [on the ground in pain] I'm ok.
Luke: [sighs] I'll make sure to keep an eye on them
Eda: I'm sure.
The scene changes to the three friends outside ready to sell potions. Though Luz kept on saying sorry to Y/N over and over which Y/N kept telling her it's ok he's fine.
Eda: Remember, never befriend a man in sandals and always measure twice, cut once.
Luke: What the hell does that even-
Eda: Good luck! [slams the door closed and dusts her hands off, then looks at King.] I hate to interrupt your power nap, but you have to go with her.
King: What? But I just found the perfect spot. Why do I have to go?
Eda: You and I know Both Y/N and Luz are either going to get lost or eaten, probably both.
Y/N&Luz: [squishes her face against the window] No, we won't.
Luke: [sighs] Really guys.
Eda brings the window's down with magic.
King: Well they have Luke can't he take care of them?
Eda: Luke doesn't know the first thing about this place. Plus I think he might purposely send them to their graves.
Luke: [on the other side of the door] You are already doing that!
Eda: And because you work for me, too, unless you want to start paying rent.
King ends up throwing a tantrum and walks out the front door to join the others.
Eda: Be back by nightfall or risk mortal peril. [slams the door again]
Hooty: Have a nice trip.
Luke: Gee thanks.
Hooty: You're welcome.
Luke glares at hooty.
King: [sighs] Let's get this over with.
The scene changes to the others in the middle of Bonesborough, as they watch the monster do their normal activities. They also see an ugly fair pass by Luz as she gasps with excitement.
Luke: [disturbed] This place makes me feel so uncomfortable.
King: [looks at Luke] Well get used to it [looks at Luz and Y/N] Hey it's rude to stare.
Luz: I've only seen places like this in my dreams. It's incredible. And we are the only humans here?
King: [shrugs his shoulders] Haven't seen any others. [points to Y/N] and Y/n is only half human.
Y/N: [scratches the back of his head] I mean does it still count.
King: Ehh I guess.
Luz: [gasp] then that means we came for a reason right?
Luke: Oh no.
Luz: What if I, Luz Noceda, average teen,
Luke: [puts his hands on his face] Here it comes.
Y/N: [stares with excitement] yes yes.
Luz: With her best friends, the moody Luke Martins
Luke(mind): Why me out of all people?
Luz: the prince of dragons Y/N Dragon- hmph hmphhh
She stops talking when Y/N ends up covering her mouth.
Y/N: M-maybe it's a good idea not to use my last name [removes his hand from Luz's mouth] Don't want to drag any unwanted attention hehe [nervously chuckles]
Luke(mind): And here I thought I had to do that.
Luz: [looks at Y/N] See that's my point you came here cause you're special. Maybe I can be to [gasp] just like Azure.
Luke: [shakes his head. Mutters] Goddamn it Luz
Y/N: Hehehe that's the spirit Luz.
King: Ha! Good luck. The Boiling Isles is nothing but a cesspool of despair.
Luke: Sadly I don't find that shocking at all.
Luz: Come on Y/N teacher was able to survive and enjoy it. Speaking of which [turns to Y/N] How come you never told us about your teacher before.
Y/N: [panics and begins to sweat] uhhh w-w-well [sees a centaur and points to him] Hey how about we focus on trying to sell potions, like to that guy over there.
Both Luz and Luke turn their head to the centaur as Luz looks with stars in her eyes. She places the bag over her shoulders and walks over to him. Just as Y/N says in relief.
Luke: [crosses his arms] You know you can't just avoid it forever.
Y/N: [turns and looks at Luke] I-I know it's just that now's not the time to tell her yet.
Luke: [sighs] Well you might want to find the time before something bad happens.
Y/N: I know I know you're right.
Luz: Ahh!
Both Y/N and Luke turned their heads as they looked at the centaur, Luz was talking to…. With his face on his chest.
Luke: That's just disturbing.
Y/N: Yea agreed.
King: [laughs] Oh this is going to be good.
Luke: [sighs] Let's just hope it goes smoothly.
Timeskip
Luke: [covered in needles] It. Did. Not. Go. SMOOTHLY! [Luz pulls out a needle on Luke's arm] OW!
So while trying to deliver potions the group ended up going to a random house but every house that went to ended up trying to eat them or telling them to go away. As for why Luke is covered in needles, let's just say some kind of weird Cactus mother saw the kids, felt bad for them and ended up hugging Luke since both Luz and Y/N escaped.
Y/N: [chuckles nervously while pulling some of the needles out] Well at least she was being nice.
Luke: [glares at Y/N] You wouldn't be saying that if you were the one covered in needs! [pulls another one out] Ow!
Luz: [sadly] That was the last one. [sits on the ground]
King: [finish eating some kind of hotdog] I know I've had enough delight for one day.
Luke: [says angry] Oh-ho I'm sure you did.
Y/N: [places his hand on Luke's shoulder] E-easy there buddy.
Luz: I thought being the only humans in a magical world would make us special. But apparently, it just makes everyone want to scream at me or... [holds up her arm to reveal a small winged creature biting her elbow] eat me. [flings the creature away and sighs, opening her book]
Y/N: [walks over and hugs Luz] Luz.
Luke(mind): (Us. Me!? I'm the one who got covered in Needles!) [breaths in and out] (Calm down Luke)
Luz: [looks at Y/N] At this point, Azura had already been sent on an enchanted quest. Where's my quest‐granting wizard?
Y/N: Hey come on we just got to this place which means we have plenty of time to get our quest granting wizard. [stares into Luz's eyes with a kind smile] Right?
Luz: [looks at Y/N with a small blush] Y/N.
King: Sorry to break it to you, Luz, but no one here is that well‐dressed. [Luke punches King in the head] Ow! What was that for?
Luke: [glares at king] For ruining the moment.
Luz: [gently pushes Y/N off her and stands up] This has been a rough day. [puts the bag over her shoulder and walks down the alley]
Y/N: [runs after Luz] Hey Luz wait up.
King starts to follow after them as Luke was about to until a sudden pain hits his head.
Luke: [grabs his head] Ow! Gees is this some kind of side effect from the needles?
Little demon: Oh please like some needles can hurt you that badly.
Luke: [flinches, but regains his composure] You again. You know you've been awfully quiet today.
Little demon: Not a big fan of the light so I decided to stay quiet.
Luke: Didn't stop you last time?
Little demon: To be fair you were in a house where the only light was candles.
Luke: [crosses his arms] fair enough so what do you want?
Little demon: Let's have a chat.
Luke was about to answer until he was cut off by Y/N.
Y/N: [runs into Luke's view] Hey Luke you got to see this!
Luke: [looks at his right hand] You three go on ahead I got to check on something!
Y/N: [looks concerned] You sure!
Luke: Yea don't worry I'll meet you back at the house.
Y/N: [sighs] Alright then [begins to walk back to Luz and King]
Luke: [sighs] Ok all I have to do is-
Little demon: Go to a Dark place.
Luke: [annoyed] Thanks.
Back with Y/N Luz and King.
What the three were looking at was a large Castle with golden banners illuminated by sunlight. It was like something that was ripped straight out of a book.
Luz: [amazed] Pretty.
Y/N: [amazed] Luke is missing this.
The three walk towards the castle and Luz ends up ringing the doorbell as the doors open. As the doors opened Y/N had gotten some weird chillies coming from the castle which caused him to hold himself. Which is weird cause he's never been cold before.
Y/N: [shivers] H-h-hey are any of you guys cold?
Luz: [looks at Y/N with confusion] No why?
King: Dragon Slayers don't get cold. Besides, big houses always belong to big whack jobs. Let's kick the package inside and get outta here.
Luz: [started walking inside] Hello?
King: Hey, wait. [runs after Luz]
Y/N: [Begins to walk inside, still holding himself] Guys wait up- [door slams scaring Y/N] w-w-what the?
?: Be Careful this place is not what it seems.
Y/N: [looks around] Wait what w-w-whos there?
Luz: [shouts] Y/N! YOU GOTTA SEE THIS!
Y/N: [looks at the direction Luz voice] Right C-coming! [starts running] That voice it was just like before.
Flashback
The three friends were almost to bonesborough until Y/N heard a voice.
?: Make sure you don't use your last name unless you want unwanted attention.
Y/N: [turns and starts looking around] Who was-
Luke: [looks at Y/N] Hey Y/N you ok?
Y/N: Huh? [looks at Luke and scratches his head] Yea just kind of zone out for a second. [starts walking] (weird that voice sounded so familiar)
Flashback over
When Y/N managed to catch up to Luz and King, he was just as amazing as them. They were looking at what seemed to be a library with books everywhere. On the third floor was a picture of a wizard, and said wizard had shown himself.
Luz: Today just got good!
Y/N: [smiles] Yes it has [another chilled when down Y/N back] Ahh. There it is again [starts to hold himself again]
Luz: [looks at the wizard] Magic Wizard!
King: Weird old man in jim‐jams.
Wizard: [descending the stairs] I was in my oscillarium, reading the stars. And who might you be, with eyes full of curiosity?
Luz: Uh, I‐I'm‐‐
Wizard: [running up to the three of them] Young lady, dareth I say, I sense something unique about you. Please, won't you join me for tea?
Y/N(mind): I'm here too.
Luz: [gasp] Okay
King:[grabbing Luz's leg] Let's scram! [climbs up to Luz's shoulder] Wizards are just old people with glitter in their pockets.
The Wizard pulls glitter out of his pocket and throws it on the floor.
Y/N: [sweat drop] I see what you mean.
King: I don't trust him.
Y/N: Yea Maybe we should leave Luz.
Luz: But the stars on his robe are sparkling. And look, there's a baby fox in his beard. [the baby fox giggles] Plus, I see scones on the table.
King: [gets excited] Where? [runs to the table]
Y/N: [sighs and facepalms] Really King?
Luz: Come on Y/N lets just listen to his story, eat, and then will go home. Please [use puppy eyes]
Y/N: (It should be illegal to be this adorable) [sighs and smiles] Ok ok but just for you.
Luz: [jumps up and down] Yes! [hugs Y/N] You're the best! We'd love to join you for tea. [pulls him into a chair] [turns and notices a cart of potions] Do you sell potions, Sir Wizard?
Wizard: Please, call me Adegast. Ma'am, yes, I run a small business.
?:Strange for someone to order potions if he already has his own small business right?
Y/N: [mumbles] Yea strange.
King: [munching, holding up an empty plate] You should run a small business of more scones into my mouth. [chuckles] Yes!
Adegast: I'm surprised to see you here. It was my understanding that Eda delivered the packages herself.
Y/N: Well long story short we are kind of her apprentice.
Adegast: Oh! And how are you finding the experience so far?
Y/N: [smiles] Not as bad as I thought I'm loving it.
Adegast: [looks at Luz] And what about you young one.
Luz: [holds a fake grin before sighing] Can I be honest, Mr. Adegast? When I decided to stay in this magical world, I thought I was meant for something special. But Eda thinks I'm meant for chores and I'm afraid I came to the wrong place.
Y/N: [worried] Luz.
Y/N put his hand on her shoulder and gave her a caring smile, but all Luz did in return was move his hand off her shoulder with a sad look. Y/N became worried about that.
Adegast: [approaching Luz] Well, I have a quest‐‐
Luz: [excited] A quest!?
Adegast: [chuckles] You didn't let me finish. I have a question.
Luz: [looks disappointed] Oh.
Adegast: Would you like to go on a quest?
Luz: Yes!
Suddenly the chills started to come back making Y/N shiver even more.
Y/N(mind): I have a bad feeling.
Adegast: [reaches into his beard and pulls out a scroll] I might have just the thing. [unrolls the scroll to reveal a map] The prophecy speaks of a young human girl who will claim the Celestial Staff and free this world from an ancient evil. Perhaps thou hath cometh here for a reason.
Luz: Perhaps I hath. [takes the map]
Y/N: (ok this seems kind off)
Adegast: Should you believe yourself worthy to attempt this quest... [begins walking through his house]
Luz: [follows him] So worthy.
Y/N: [walks behind them] (Now this is sounding ridiculous… oh great i'm becoming Luke)
Adegast: you need to know the road is dark and perilous.
Luz: Love peril. Big fan of peril.
Adegast: And only the Chosen One can pull the staff from its post.
Luz: [stops walking] Chosen one.
Y/N: (and now i'm very concerned)
King: [walking past Luz with the bag of potions] Neat story, awesome. Anyway, your food is gone and we are, too.
Y/N: [grabs Luz's arm] Yea we need to start heading back.
Luz: Yes, we have to go. And pack for this enchanted quest! I'm in.
Adegast: Wonderful!
Y/N: (Damn it Luz.) [sighs] (Where is Luke when you need him the most)
Luke POV
I ended up leaving both Y/N and Luz with King, hopefully that little runt can keep those too in line while I figure this out… Yea I can already feel something wrong is going to happen. Anyway I managed to find a dark cave where there was barely any light and went into a criss-cross position on the ground.
Me: Now how do I-
Little Demon: Close your eyes and visualise the room.
I did as he said as everything started to go silent it was then I started to hear that same music again when I first entered.
I open my eyes and notice I was in the same clothes I was when I first entered the room. I started to look around and noticed there were a lot more doors than the last time I came here.
Me: [looks around] seems you were busy considering you claim you hate the light.
Little demon: Well having just one room can be quite boring in my opinion, and remember magic also helps make this and all the other rooms.
Me: What's in them?
Little demon: [smiles] why don't you open one and find out?
Me: [looks at one of the doors] Next time. [goes and sits down] Now what the hell do you want?
Little Demon: Always want to go straight to the point very well [takes a seat on the other side of Luke] I wanted to ask you do you remember that headache you had a little while ago.
Me: [crosses his arms] Yea that was you wasn't it.
Little demon: Yes and no.
Me: [raises an eyebrow] What?
Little demon: You see that was your instincts warning you about upcoming danger. And that so-called danger is where your friends went.
Me: [gets up] Then that would mean-
Little Demon: Worry not their fine for now. Their on there way back home as we speak
Me: [looks at my hand] I see. [realized] How did you-
Little Demon: I can sense their life energy. You can do it to as long as you concentrate.
Me: Right so what was the danger you wanted to warn me about?
Little Demon: A demon is near.
Me: [confused] What?
Little Demon: From what I was able to sense he uses lies and props to get his vitamins comfortable and goes right for the kill.
Me: But that would mean-
Little Demon: Your friends might be heading right for that trap.
Me: [walks to the door] Not on my watch.
Little Demon: Try to make it back in one piece this time.
Me: [stops and turn my head] I plan on it [walks out and shuts the door]
Little demon: Lets see if you can back up that claim. Heheheh
I open my eyes and notice I'm still in the cave. I got out and headed straight for the house hoping the others were still there. I stopped near the house as I tried to catch my breath. Man, I need to work out more. I looked up and noticed someone jumping out of the window.
Luz: [Yells] Y/N!
Huh, Out of all, people I thought Luz would fall for this. There was something off about him though when I got closer I noticed he was holding his chest really right, breathing hard and was…. Crying oh no. They must have had the talk when I was gone. He then started running into the forest, so I decided to run after him to make sure he didn't do anything stupied.
Luke: [yells] Y/N! Where are you Y/N!?
I looked everywhere with no sign of him but then I noticed a little dragon running at something. For some reason I decided to follow it thinking it would lead me to Y/N, and shockingly it did. He was sitting at an edge of the clift crying his eyes out into his arms. Poor guy. The dragon started to crawl up to Y/N, seems like Y/N know's it since he wasn't shocked by it. I let them talk for a little bit, when I noticed their conversation was over I decided to walk up and make my present known by taking a seat next to Y/N.
Me: [Stares at the horizon] Hey.
Y/N: [looks at the baby dragon] Hey.
Me: Seems you made a little friend.
Y/N: [sadly] Yea.
We sat in silence for a bit with the only sound being nature. I also heard the little dragon making whimpering noises as he tried to lick Y/N tears away. I wrapped my arms around him.
Me: Let it out buddy.
He cried on my shoulder as I did my best to comfort him. I felt like a total ass for breaking my promise to him just like I broke my promise to her. A few minutes had passed and Y/N had finally calmed down.
Me: I won't force you to tell me but-
Y/N: [wipes tears away] N-no it's fine [takes a deep breath] it started when we came back from the wizard.
Flashback Y/N Pov
We made it back home as Luz was beginning to back up her stuff for this quest, while I was sitting on the floor, with my eyes closed, feeling very indifferent about it. On the one hand this might be Luz's chance for her to have a magic staff and be able to do magic like me, but on the other hand I just can't shake the feeling Adegast is not what he seems. Like what if it's a trap? What if something terrible happens? What if-
Luz: [yells] Y/N!
Me: [shakes my head and falls on the ground] Ow! [rubs my head and stands up] Sorry Luz I was lost in thought. What did you say?
Luz: Well I was asking what kind of chosen one I should be [picks up her book] Should I be full of optimism and goodness, like the Good Witch Azura? Or should I be like a bad girl Chosen One with black nail polish and a mysteriously withdrawn attitude? [uses the book as a mouth] "I act like I don't care, but I secretly do."
I couldn't bring myself to tell her she shouldn't go on that quest, so I decided to play along with it for a little while longer.
Y/N: [puts his thumb on his chin and thinks] Definitely the first one bad girl isn't the first thing that comes to mind when I think of you. (besides we already have Luke for that)
Luz: [blushes] R-really? [sly smile] So you think of me like that huh?
Y/N: [Blushes and panics] U-u-uhh W-w-weell I-I-I uhhh?
Luz: [giggles] Relax Y/N I was only kidding.
Y/N: [still blushing] R-right.
Eda: [comes in with a severed hand] Is that the sound of kids flirting [both Luz and Y/N blushes and turns their heads away from each other] Huh guess Luke was right that is fun. Wait what's going on?
King: Eda, tell Luz and Y/N how dumb wizards are.
Eda: [gesturing with a severed arm and almost hitting King several times] Ugh! Wizards are the worst. Never trust a man in casual drapery. [laces her fingers with the severed arm] Why?
King: Your wizard client told Luz... [laughs] she was a‐‐ [laughing] was a Chosen One! [laughing]
Eda: Wait, wait, Luz? [snickers] [laughs]
King: He even gave her a map.
I glared daggers at them then I turned my head to Luz and noticed she blushed with embarrassment. I started to get annoyed at them laughing at Luz.
Y/N: [annoyed] Ok ha-ha we get it [hands eda the map] can you at least look at the map and make sure if it's real or not.
Eda walks over, grabs the map and looks at it. What she said next made my suspicions right.
Eda: You didn't think this was real, did you?
Luz: [disappointed] What?
Eda: This map is bunk. There's no lake with a Celestial Staff on the Boiling Isles. I would have stolen it ages ago. [notes Luz's down faceand hands her the map back] Ah, don't worry. Couple more months here and you won't look like such a mark.
Luz: Can me and Y/N be alone for a bit.
Eda shrugged her shoulders and both her and King left the room leaving me and Luz alone. I saw Luz looking down about to cry as I walked over to her and gave her a hug. What happens next well lets just say explains why I ended up here.
Luz: [looks down] Y/N be honest with me [looks at me] Did you believe anything Adegast said?
I began to panic.
Y/N: [gulp] Luz I -
I was interrupted by a bright light hitting the map saying the words "The chosen one The path will only appear to the worthy". I was hoping that Luz won't believe anymore of this nonsense, but I couldn't be anymore wrong.
Luz: That's why Eda couldn't see it. But am... I really worthy?
I was going to say something but a gust of wind blew the map to Luz's book, showing a picture of Azure and inferno standing side by side with each other on top of a mountain.
Luz: We'll never know unless we try. [looks at me] Let's go Y/N.
It was then I had enough I couldn't risk her getting hurt. I grabbed her arm and told her how I felt about this whole quest.
Y/N: Luz I really think we shouldn't go on this quest.
Luz: [shocked] W-why?
Y/N: Just think about it Luz a random wizard comes out of nowhere and gives you a quest and gives you a staff. Luz listen there will be another time where we both can go on a quest and save the world and earn a staff. [smiles] What do you say?
Silence.
Luz: [looks down] You just don't get it do you.
Y/N: L-Luz.
Luz: [pulls her arm away] You don't get it! I finally have a chance to be special to someone other than you and Luke and you're trying to take that away from me!
Y/N: [backs away] L-Luz that not what-
Luz: Ever since we came here we found out you're a son of a legendary dragon slayer, you were born special, but what about me huh!?
Y/N: L-Luz you are special to me, you're my friend.
Luz: Friends don't lie to each other! Friends don't keep stuff like this from each other! If you were really my friend you would have told me about this place and your teacher! Why didn't you ever tell me about this!?
Y/N: Luz I just-
All the bad memories from that day started to flood into my head as I tried to shake those thoughts away. What she said next broke my heart.
Luz: Maybe… Maybe it was a mistake for me to ever be friends with a FREAKlike you!
That word "Freak" echoed in my head over and over again. I don't know when it happened but I remember a lot of people kept calling me. At first it didn't bother me, but after a while it just started to hurt hearing it. Suddenly the images of people calling me Freakstarted to play in my mind.
?: Get lost you Freak
?: Hahaha why would we ever hang out with a FREAKlike you?
?: Mommy what is that?
?: Don't look at that Freak sweetie.
I began to hyperventilate as all the memories of what people said started to play in my head. Tears started to drop from my eyes, as I was holding onto my chest for dear life. Luz must have noticed what she said as she saw me panic. She put her hands over her mouth and tried to walk over to me.
Luz: Y/N wait I didn't mean it im sorry.
I couldn't take it anymore so I ran out the window and jumped.
Luz: [shouts with tears in her eyes] Y/N!
As I landed I kept breathing heavily while looking down holding my chest, it was like something was burning me up from the inside. I couldn't stay here anymore. I need to get far away from here, from …. Her. I ran into the forest bumping into so many trees as I just kept running with tears in my eyes. I don't know what's happening to me. I don't know what's right or what's wrong anymore. Just then I heard a voice.
?:STOP!
I stopped and wiped the tears with my right hand while holding onto my chest with my left. I was still having a hard time breathing, until the voice spoke again.
?:Calm down and breathe slowly.
Y/N: [breathes heavily] W-W-WHAT H-H-HOW CAN I-I-I
?:Trust me your fire is running wild inside your body if you don't calm down it will burn you from the inside out. Control your breathing.
I did what the voice said and started to breath slowly in and out. Eventually my chest stopped hurting and the burning I was feeling before disappeared. I was somewhat ok.
?: You don't have to hold your tears back anymore.
After he said that I fell to my knees and started to cry.
Surprisingly I didn't feel the burning sensation anymore. All I felt was sadness cause I just lost my best friend/crush. I felt someone walking towards me.
Y/N: [whips the tears. Voice crack] I-I-I'm not in the m-mood to t-talk now Luke.
What shocked me was it wasn't Luke it was that same little dragon I saw before when I came into the forest. He walked up to me with a whimper and laid in my lap as some of my tears fell on him.
Y/N: [tries to smile] hehe What's-wrong little guy you should feel sad for m-me.
I just kept crying as the little guy licked my tears away and tried to cheer me up.
Me: Thanks Little guy.
That's when I heard you walk up to me.
Luke: Hey.
Flashback over. 3rd pov
We cut back to both Y/N and Luke looking at the horizon.
Luke: Wow.
Y/N: [looks down] Yea that's what happened. S-she hates me she thinks i'm a freak like the rest.
Luke: No I don't think so.
Y/N: [shocked and turn to Luke] B-but she-
Luke: Said it out of anger.
Y/N looked at Luke confused.
Luke: Anger blinds people. It makes us do and say things we don't really mean or don't want to do. From what you told me, it sounded like Luz only said that cause she thought that would end the argument. But instead it ended up hurting you more than she thought.
Y/N: But how do you-
Luke: Cause she still called out to you.
Y/N started to remember Luz trying to reach out to him and calling his name.
Luke: [stands up with his hands in his pocket] If she really meant what she said then she wouldn't have bothered calling out your name and trying to bring you back. She realized at the last minute she hurt you and wanted to comfort you. But when you ran it was too late for her to do that. My guess is she feels awful for what she did and is trying to figure out a way to fix this.
Y/N: [looks at the baby dragon] What do I do?
Luke: [looks at Y/N} Well that's up for you to decide, do you want to push Luz away or do you want to hold on to her?
Y/N: I-I want [stands up and looks at the horizon] I want everything to go back to the way it was before. I want my Luz back.
Luke: [smiles] Good.
Little demon: Aww what a touching moment too bad I have to ruin it.
Luke: [sighs] (what do you want)
Little demon: Oh I just wanted to let you know that your little friend is off on that little quest.
Luke: [shouts] WHAT!?
Y/N: [startled] uhhh Luke you ok?
Luke: [looks at Y/N] No i'm not Luz is still going on that quest.
Y/N: WHAT!?
Luke: I know I know. (why didn't you tell me sooner?)
Little Demon: I was very interested in the story he was telling.
Luke: (I'll deal with you later) Look Y/N we have to- [looks down and sees the dragon panting] uhh Y/N.
Y/N: [shouts] HURRY UP WE HAVE TO SAVE LUZ!
Luke: [scratches the back of his head] And just awhile ago he and Luz had an argument. Man love can make people do crazy things.
Little Demon: You would know a lot about that wouldn't you.
Silence.
Luke: Shut up [runs] Wait up Y/N!
Luke runs after Y/N as the dragon sits there and watches the sun set when a man with spiky Black hair with several bags looks at the direction where Y/N and Luke was going.
Black hair Man: Geez that kid he was so busy crying that he left the keychain.
Baby dragon: *bark bark*
Black hair Man: [looks at the baby dragon] You can see me right.
The baby dragon nods his head.
Black hair Man: [points to the keychain] Can you give that back to him? It's something he really cherishes.
The baby dragon looks at the keychain then nods at the man.
Black hair Man: [gives a thumbs up] Thanks [vanishes]
The baby dragon picks it up with its mouth and begins to run after Y/N.
Luz pov
I walked through the forest and I was trying to enjoy it as best as I could. I was able to meet so many different people and saw so many different places. I first came across a magic town full of talking cats. I also met Nevareth Bladestrife, the teen prince of Angstmore with a brooding backstory. I even was able to best the old cat that was guarding the bridge, Chris and got him to travel with me. But for some reason I just wasn't enjoying this adventure as much as I should. I feel like something is missing something really important.
Little Fairy: Chosen one are you alright you've been quiet. Was the food not to your liking?
Me: [breaks out of my thoughts] Huh oh no princess you food was so delicious and so tiny.
Princess: Well ok then oh right before I forget. [twirls her hands and creates two bracelets] For you, Chosen One.
I take the bracelets and put them on.
Me: Thank you. You have all been so kind and thoughtful. [jumps and strikes a pose] I hope this quest never ends.
Chris: Your quest will soon come to an end, for the staff you seek is around the bend.
Of course someone had to ruin it.
Me: [drops her pose] Thanks for ruining the mood, Chris.
Nevareth: Go on, Chosen One. The Celestial Staff is yours. You've earned it.
I perked back up and continued down the path. Just then that same feeling I felt before came back and it was stronger than before.
Nevareth: Farewell, Lady Luz.
Princess: Farewell. We love you, Chosen One.
I started walking down the path and then I saw the "Celestial Staff" with a ray of light shining down on it. This is my chance to finally be a choosin one. As I began to walk towards it a glow came from the water, followed a few seconds later by a stone walkway rumbling into place, connecting the edge of the lake and the central platform.
Me: I knew this world wasn't all gloom and doom like Eda and King said. [skipping and twirling down the walkway] There is wonder here. And I... I think I came here for a reason.
I reached the platform and looked at the staff
Me: Okay, this is it. Moment of truth.
I grab the staff as Blue swirls of magic come out of it, creating waves in the lake as the top of the staff glows brightly. I pulled the staff from the platform then lifted high in the air.
Me: Yes! I am the Chosen One! I knew it! I always suspected there was a reason nobody understood my wacky antics back at home. [jumps and twirls in a circle, then holds the staff with both hands] Hey Y/N look at-
That's when it hit me this feeling that's been hitting me since I came here. This whole time I thought I was missing something but what I was really missing was someone.
Me: [looks down in sadness] Oh right you're... you're not here.
I began to remember the good times we had. The times when we pretend to dress up as Azura and Inferno, the time Luke would yell at us for dressing up in silly animal costumes, and the times when we would hold each other watching Azura until we fell asleep. Those were the best times and he was always by my side. But then I remembered the argument we had, the words that I said to him.
Me: Maybe… Maybe it was a mistake for me to ever be friends with a FREAK like you!
I thought by calling him a freak it wouldn't hurt him, since people called him that all the time, I thought he would just brush it off. But when I looked into his eyes I saw the pain I made him feel. I was confused as to why it hurt him, but that's when it hit me, I was the one who said. His best friend, the one he trusted the most, called him a freak. He held onto that pain of people calling him a freak but when I called him that it broke him.
I dropped the staff and held my mouth with both my hands as I fell to my knees as the tears from my eyes started to fall. I hurt him. I made him feel pain. I I ruined the best friendship with the boy I-I-I fell in love with.
Me: [sobbing] Y-Y-Y/N I-I-I'm so so s-s-sorry I shouldn't h-h-have said those mean things to you. Please f-f-forgive me.
With tears still in my eyes I started to notice the staff was beginning to fade. But not only that the flowers wilted away, the water from the lake drained, and the leaves disappeared.
Me: [confused] W-what's going on?
?: Luz the Human.
I turn around and see Adegast walking towards me.
Me: Magical wizard?
Adegast: Your hubris has failed you, Witch Apprentice. [cackling]
As he said this, what I saw next horrified me. I was looking at a large, light mauve octopus-like creature that had both tentacles and arms. The demon's gruesome face is pale and pouchy, with two bulbous eyes above his cheeks and two narrowed eyes in place of his nostrils. His mouth lacks lips, and his teeth and pupils are yellow. I tried to calm down as best as I could.
Me: Okay, Luz. Don't panic. This is classic Chosen One biz. You just have to rescue everybody and defeat the final boss.
Adegast: I am everybody! You fool, don't you see? I'm no wizard. And you're no Chosen One. I've tricked you. [evil laughter]
Me: What?
In an instant my cap wrapped around me and turned into some kind of rope. The bracelets turn into handcuffs, and the ring on my finger chains that locked my hands together.
Me: No! Betrayed by my own cool accessories. Why are you doing this?
Adegast: Your mentor has been stealing customers from my potions business for years. She must be destroyed.
Me: Does everybody have a beef with Eda here?
They all nodded in agreement. Geez Eda you weren't kidding about people wanting to take your business down. I just sighed.
Adegast: And you lured her right into my trap, all because you wanted to think you were special. And even better you brought the Son of Igneel with you.
Me: [shocked] How did you-
Adegast: Foolish girl never underestimate a demon. I felt the power the boy gave off a mile away, and I knew right away he was related to that cursed Dragon Slayer Igneel. Once I kill him and take his power I will finally have vengeance to what he did to me.
I looked shocked to know Y/N's father had done something to Adegast to make him want to kill Y/N.
Me: Well joke's on you, 'cause Eda isn't stupid enough to fall for your trap.
Eda: Luz!
Me: Oh Heck!
3rd pov
Eda and King had landed on the end of the walkway glare at Adegast.
Adegast: Eda, I have you now!
Out of nowhere Two cat puppets erupt from the ground, one grabbing Eda and the other King.
Eda: That's right. You have me. Now release Luz.
King: I didn't have to be a part of this!
Adegast: Oh I will as soon as you tell me where that accursed dragon slayer is.
Eda: [confused] What Igneel I don't know I haven't seen him since -
Adegast: Not the king you idiot I'm talking about the little prince.
Eda had to think for a bit until she realized what he meant
King: I think his talking about-
Eda: [glares at king] Yes yes I know he's talking about Y/N [looks at Adegast] Look I don't know where he is either and even if I did I wouldn't tell you.
Adegast: Then you will-
Luz: [sadly] He left.
Adegast: What?
Everyone turns and looks at Luz.
Luz: After the terrible things I said he ran away. [shrugs her shoulders] I don't blame him though. If I were him I would have ran away too.
Adegast: Then I'll just have to draw him out. Maybe your screams will make him come back.
Luz: He won't come. I'm pretty sure my screams would bring him joy.
Eda: Kid, why would you say that?
Luz: [looks at eda with tears in her eyes and yells] WELL WHY SHOULDN'T I!?
Eda: Luz.
Luz: [crying] I HURT HIM EDA! I HURT HIM WORSE THAN ANY BULLY OR MONSTER COULD EVER DO TO HIM! [voice crack] IF I DIE RIGHT NOW HE WOULD BE SO HAPPY! [closes her eyes] I'M BETTER OFF DEAD!
?: HAVE YOU COMPLETELY LOST YOUR MIND!?
Luz open her eyes and looked up into the sky as well as everyone else. They saw a familiar figure with fire covering his right hand as it came down fast.
Y/N: FIRE DRAGON IRON FIST!
Y/N, with fire surrounding his right hand, ends up punching Adegast right in the face causing him to fall backwards onto the ground. This made the puppet master lose his grip on both King and Eda, letting them both go. Eda was able to land on her feet, while King was caught by Luke. Y/N landed right in front of Luz.
Luke: [looks at king] You ok your "majesty".
King: [looks at Luke with pride] Yes you've done well to catch your king.
Little demon: I will murder you
Luke: (easy their little guy)
Eda: Finally where were you 2? And what took you so long?
Luke: Lets just say we had a bit of an episode [looks at Y/N and Luz]
Eda: [realized] Oh right
Luz was still tied up as she looked up at Y/N as he was glaring at her.
Luz: [looks down] You still hate me don't you?
With his hair covering his eyes, Y/N removed his sword from his back as he held it with two hands over his head and was ready to aim it down at Luz. All Luz did was close her eyes as tears fell from them.
Eda: Has tha kid lost his mind!?
Eda was about to rush over there and stop Y/N but Luke put a hand on her shoulder stopping her.
Eda: Kid I don't think you've noticed but he's about to kill her.
Luke: [gives a serious look] Trust me he won't.
Eda looked at Luke as he was crazy but noticed the look he was giving her. She knew that look all too well. It's the same Igneel always gives her when he tries to tell her to trust him. So against her better judgement she watched.
Y/N swung his blade and did a diagonal slash which freed Luz from her shackles. She opened her eyes and stood up looking at Y/N with confusion. Y/N takes a big inhale.
Luz: Why did you-
Y/N: DON'T YOU EVER SAY THAT AGAIN!
This startled everyone.
Y/N: [points at Luz] YOU DYING WOULD NOT MAKE ME FELL HAPPY! INSTEAD IT WILL ONLY HURT ME MORE THAN BEFORE! [starts to cry] Your right what you said did hurt, but that doesn't mean I want you to die damn it! I still want you to be there by my side no matter what, got it!?
Luz: [tears in her eyes] Y-Y/N!
Luke: [smiles but hears rumbling] Hey hate to ruin the moment you two but [sees Adegast getting back up] But old octo face is back.
Adegast: [rubs his head] DAMN YOU SON OF IGNEEL! [brings out his army] I WILL DEVOUR YOU!
Y/N: [holds his sword in front of him] Just come and try
Luz: [picks up the toy sword] and I'm going to help.
Y/N: [looks at her] Luz.
Luz: [smiles at Y/N] This time i'm going to fight with you [looks at Adegast] I am a Witch's Apprentice. And I'm gonna earn my magic staff the hard way. I believed you, Magic Man. Now feel my wrath! [charges at Adegast and stabs the wizard puppet threw the stomach]
Adegast: [screams] AHHHH DAMN YOU! [sends tentacle puppets at Luz]
Luz dodges out of the way and parries some of the attacks.
Luke: welp can't let her have all the fun [draws a circle on his shadow and grabs the sword] Let's show this demon who's boss [takes the sword out of its sheet]
Everyone: [shocked] Since when can you do that!?
Luke: I'll explain later [dashes and cuts off one of Adegast tentacles] For now focus on the fight.
Adegast: I'LL KILL YOU ALL!
5 puppets try to attack eda, but she was quick enough to dodge them and create a circle of fire that burned them into ashes. With Luke, three puppets surrounded him and all went in to stab him but Luke did a spin attack chopping all their heads off. Luke then slid the sword back in his sheath, as all the puppets fell and died.
Little Demon: Look at you, you're getting better with it.
Luke: I still need to practice using it more.
Suddenly a tentacle was slowly making its way towards Luke.
Luke: [looks at the sword] The more I use this thing the stronger I feel.
Little Demon: Enjoy the power are you?
Luke: More like disturbed.
Little Demon: Interesting. Oh by the way there is a tentacle behind you.
Luke: [turns around] Wait wat- [tentacle wraps around Luke's mouth] HMPH HMPHHH!
Little Demon: And you told Wrath not to let down his guard.
Meanwhile Y/N had been cutting and burning down a lot of Adegast puppets. {he lost count after 10}
Right now he was busy fighting the puppet Nevareth, who for some reason was making Y/N very angry.
Y/N: [glares] I don't know who you are but just looking at you pisses me off.
Nevareth: Such harsh words how about [charges at Y/N] I put you down so you don't have to see my face!
Nevareth was unleashing a barrage of attacks that Y/N was having a hard time keeping up with. As he was getting cut on his check and on his arm.
Y/N: [backs up] (damn it why am I having trouble keeping up)
Then I start to remember something my teacher once said.
?: Remember: Anger can blind you and make you make simple mistakes. The best way for you to handle it is to harness it and use it as a tool.
Y/N took a deep breath and tightening the grip of his blade and stared Nevareth down.
Nevareth: [charges at Y/N] NOW DIE SLAYER! [Brings his blade down. But Y/N dodges it to the left] WHAT!?
Y/N: [spins around with a battle cry] NOW EAT THIS!
Gripping his sword tight, Y/N spin around and sliced Nevermore in two. The puppet screamed in pain and slowly started to fade away. Y/N falls on one knee panting heavily and smirked.
Y/N: H-how did y-you like that?
Luz: Y/N!
Both Eda and Luz run up to Y/N.
Luz: [worried] Are you ok?
Y/N: [gives a thumbs up] Yea never better.
Eda: That's good now where is-
Adegast: BACK OFF OR THE BOY AND THE DOG GETS IT!
Everyone turns and sees Adegast holding both King and an unconscious Luke by his tentacles.
King: I am not a [gets choked]
Y/N: [angry] Put them both down right now!
Adegast: I will as soon as all of you drop your weapons. And be quick about otherwise [tights his grip on king as he starts to scream]
Luz&Eda: KING!
Y/N: OK OK STOP [drop his sword]
Luz and Eda also drop their weapons.
Adegast: Now slayer, come to me so I can devour you and take your powers.
Y/N slowly started walking but was stopped by Luz.
Luz: [tears in her eyes] Please Y/N don't do this! I can't lose you again!
Y/N: [whispers] Don't worry Luz you won't. [looks at Adegast] Besides [nudges his head to the toy sword] I trust you.
Luz was confused at first but then she noticed what he meant and nodded her head.
Luz [looked at king] King, I'm sorry. I should have listened to both you and Y/N and never trusted that wizard. You were right. He isn't mystical or magical.
Adegast: SILENCE YOU BRA-
Suddenly everything went black as if Adegast was in some kind of different world. He turned his head, as he was shaking in fear, to notice Luke, who still had his mouth wrapped in his tentacle, started to talk to him.
Luke?: How dare you put your filthy tentacles on me. [turns his head towered adegast] know your place [opens his eyes] Fool.
Luke apperens change into something more horrible. It was a black figure with white eyes and a white mouth. It smiled sinisterly and begain to laugh.
?: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!
Adegast: W-W-WHAT ARE YOU!?
Luz: He's just a big, slimy jerk.
Adegast broke out of his trance but it was too late as Luz ended up kicking the sword making it fly to Adegast head as he screamed in pain. Just then Luke woke up, took his sword out of his sheath and started cutting up all of Adegast tentacles. Luke ended up catching King and moving out of the way.
Luke: Alright Y/N let him have it.
Y/N: Got it [rells his arm back] I have a lot of hate right now [lights it on fire] and I'm aiming all of it at you! [throws it his fist at Adegast] FIRE FIST!
Y/N threw a fist covered in fire at Adegest. The attack hits Adegast making him scream in pain as he is engulfed by the flames. Slowly the smoke cleared as Adegast is seen lying down, small and cooked to a crisp. Eda walks up to him, grabs him and eats him.
Eda: Ahh nothing tastes better then fried octo [burps] oh scuse me. Well, that's the last time I take an outside referral.
Luke: (I fine it very crazy that I wanted to try some)
Eda looked at both Luz and Y/N, and noticed that both of them weren't looking at each other nor standing beside each other.
Eda: [whispers] What should we do about them?
Luke: [looks at Y/N and Luz] I have a feeling Luz still thinks this place is all gloom and doom. Maybe you should take her to the parts that are not half bad.
Eda: That could work but what about Y/N?
Luke: We know the way back we'll meet you both back at home.
Eda: [nods her head] But what about when they want to talk to each other?
Luke: [rubs his chin with his thumb] Hmm I think it would be best if we let them talk to them when they're ready.
Eda: Alright then kid.
Luke: Wow, I'm surprised you're actually listening to me.
Eda: Hey you know them best who else I should listen to, to help them. [glares] but don't think this means anything.
Luke: [sweats] Noted.
Eda ends up taking Luz to the sky as both Y/N and Luke begin their walk back to the owl house.
Luz pov
After Eda gave me that speech about choosing my own destiny I began to feel better knowing that someday I'll be a great witch. Then I started thinking about when it was time to talk to Y/N.
Eda: Still thinking about Y/N.
Me: [looks down] Yea I just don't know what to say to him.
Eda: [puts her hand on Luz's shoulder] Just do what your heart tells you to do.
I started to replay Eda's words in my head Do what my heart tells me to do
Timeskip 3rd pov
Late at night back at the owl house Y/N was walking back and forth trying to figure out the right words on what to say to Luz. Meanwhile Luke was just watching.
Luke: [sighs] Ok look Y/N at this point you're going to keep me up all night just talk to her.
Y/N: [looks down] But what am I supposed to say?
Luke: [pinches the bridge of his nose] I don't know. Just say what comes from your heart.
Y/N: Say what comes from my heart?
Luke: [throws his hands up] Yes.
Y/N: [nods his head] Alright [heads for the door] I'll be right back [opens it and surprised to see Luz there] Oh Luz!
Luz: [surprised] Oh Y/N!
Luke: [gets up begins to walk out] Well I'm just going to leave you two to talk it out [pushes Luz gently into the room] Have fun you two [shuts the door].
A moment of silence passed as both Y/N and Luz were both looking at the ground trying to figure out what words to say to the other.
Luz&Y/N: Y/N/Luz I… No you go first… No you… No you! NO YOU! AHHHHH! [turns around facing away from each other]
Silence.
Neither one of them didn't know what to do or say. But at the same time they wanted things to go back to what they used to be.
Y/N: [breaths in an out turns around] Luz I - [interrupted by Luz hugging him] L-Luz
Luz: [starts crying] I'm sorry! [sobs] I-I didn't mean to say those things to you! I was just scared! We always did things together! After we found out about you being a dragon slayer I was jealous of you, cause you were born special! So when you didn't want to join me for this quest I thought you didn't need me anymore! I got so scared and called you a freak without realizing how much I hurt you! I know it's not enough but i'm so so sorry Y/N and I promise to never hurt you like that again! So please [voice cracks as tears fall from her eyes] don't leave me!
There it was Luz let out everything in her heart out to him. The jealousy she felt towards him, the fear she had of losing him, and the pain she had caused him. Now she was waiting for, Y/N response.
Y/N: [grabs her by the shoulders] Luz look at me.
Luz looked down out the ground scared he would say he would never forgive her, scared that he would run off and leave her. She felt Y/N hand on her cheek as he gently got her to look at his f/c eyes.
Y/N: You're right, what you said really hurt me. Freak has always been a word that I hated and when people used it on me I tried my best to ignore it, but it hurt so much. So when you called me it, that's when I broke and couldn't hold it anymore. It truly hurt me Luz. [Luz started to cry again but Y/N brushed the tears off her face] But I know you didn't mean it. [Luz stared at Y/N] Unlike the others you still try to reach for me even after you called me a freak. You wanted to take it back and apologize to me, to comfort me even after you hurt me. That's the Luz I know and care for.
Luz [begins to cry] Y/N.
Y/N: And I will always need you by my side Luz. You were one of my first real friends that I ever made. You were there when I needed you the most. [starts to cry] So don't ever thing I don't need you because [voice crack] You will always be my Best friend.
Luz: [hugs Y/N tightly] Oh Y/N!
They both just held each other tightly as they cried in each other arms; everything they both were holding in their hearts was all out in the open. As they both begin to calm down Y/N was about to talk.
Y/N: Luz about my teacher I- [puts her fingers on his lips]
Luz: shh. Hey I know right now you don't want to tell me so I won't force you to. I'll wait until the day you want to talk and when you do [looks into his eyes] I'll listen.
Y/N: [looks into her eyes] Luz.
As they looked into each other's eyes, Y/N arms ended up wrapping around Luz's waist while Luz arms were around Y/N neck as they began to lean in closer to each other. Their hearts were pounding so hard it was almost like they could pop out of their chest. Luz stood on her tippy toes and slowly closed her eyes as Y/N closed his eyes as they were inches away from sealing it with a kiss.
?: *bark bark*
They both stopped their motion and turned their heads and saw a baby dragon that was panting and looking at the two. Both Y/N and Luz slowly separated and looked at the baby dragon.
Luz: [confused] is that a baby dragon?
Y/N: [scratches the back of his head] Yea I ended up finding him in the forest I wonder what he [notice the keychain in his mouth] Wait is that?
The baby dragon walked up to Y/N and dropped it on the ground in front of him.
Y/N: [kneels down and picks it up] Did you come back to give it to me, little guy?
Baby Dragon: [smiles] *bark bark*
Y/N: [goes over and pets him] Thanks little guy.
The baby dragon ends up jumping on Y/N and begins to lick him all over his face.
Luz: [watches] aww looks like he likes you.
Y/N: [keeps getting licked] hahaha ok ok I get it I get it little guy.
The baby dragon starts to yawn and slowly falls asleep on Y/N chest.
Y/N: aww he's all tuckered out.(I wonder if Eda would let me keep him) [yawns] well [looks at Luz] welp guess it's time for bed.
Luz: [looks down while blushing] uhhh well Y-Y/N I know this will sound weird but can I [blushes bright red] S-S-Sleep here w-w-with you?
Y/N: [started to blush] Uhhh are you sure?
Luz just nodes her head.
Y/N: O-o-ok.
The lights in the room go off with both Luz and Y/N turning around facing away from each other as they both have a burning blush on their face.
Luz: [nervous] H-h-hey Y/N.
Y/N: Y-yea
Luz: C-C-C-Can you hold me? P-P-Please?
Silence.
Luz just looked down until she felt Y/N wrap his arms around her and brought her close to him. This action made Luz smile and hold his hand.
Y/N: [whispers] Night Luz [mumbles] my Luzura (I love you).
Luz: [whispers] Good night [mumbles] my dragon prince. (I love you)
Unknown to them two people were watching the whole scene play out. Both Eda and Luke looked at each other and fist bumped.
Eda: Well would you look at that kid your plan worked out after.
Luke: Honestly I didn't think it would work out that well [snaps his fingers] Damn and I was so ready for them to kiss I was ready to scream finally.
Eda: You must want them to be together huh?
Luke: Only for them to stop coming up to me saying "Luke what should I tell him" or "Luke how do I know if she likes me" [shrugs his shoulders] but I can't rush these things all I can do is wait and hope they tell each other how they fell [mumbles] hopefully sooner than later.
Eda: [laughs] well hopefully so kid.
Luke: oh yeah one more thing [kicks eda leg]
Eda: Ow! What was that for!? [glares at Luke]
Luke: For laughing at Luz.
Eda: oh [scratches the back of her head]
Luke: Look I know you tried to help her in your own way but instead of making fun of her try to understand in her perspective. Welp I'm tired. I'm going to sleep on the couch if that's ok. [starts walking to the living room.
Eda: [smiles and looks at Luke] (it's funny he acts more like you Igneel then your own son. And Y/N.) [opens Y/N's door slightly and looks at Y/N and Luz sleeping peacefully] (He acts more like him) [closes the door and heads to her room]
Inside Y/N's room the same black haired figure, that the baby dragon was talking to, was watching the two kids sleep.
Black haired: [scratches the back of his head] Man if I knew you two were going to kiss I would have told the baby dragon to give it back later. Still though [looks at the keychain]make sure you to take good care of it. [looks at both Y/N and Luz] Always remember Y/N [begins to fade away] cherish the ones you love.
Meanwhile Downstairs.
Luke was currently sitting on the couch with his eyes twitching because a certain bird was keeping up.
Hooty: [beside Luke] Oh a sleepover I never had a sleepover. We can tell scary stories, talk about our crushes, and even [gasp and gets into Luke's face] become best friends.
I said bird Luke means pest!
Luke: [puts his head down] Hooty [pushes hooty off him] what will it take for you to let me sleep!
Hooty: [thinks] hmmm oh I know, [gets in his face] be my best friend.
Luke: Ok fine were best friends [does jazz hands] Yeah now let me sleep [falls on the couch].
Hooty: [deep inhales] Yea I never had a best friend before now we can talk to each other for hours and hours and hours.
Luke: [cries as hooty keeps saying hours] ahahaha Somebody please kill me!
