Chapter 11 Romantic Dialogue
Tsukasa's POV
The day Sakurano and I were to act out our dialogue had arrived.
Currently, we were in our acting class waiting for our turn.
"Are you ready for this, Tsukasa", Sakurano asked.
"But of course", I replied. "Because I am Tenma Tsukasa, the world's future number one star! I am always ready for anything!
"You'd better be", Sakurano stated. "Because if you don't do well, then it will reflect badly on my acting abilities as well!"
"You needn't worry about that, Sakurano", I reassured. "In fact, I am sure that I will only elevate your acting skills!"
"If you say so", Sakurano said.
"Tsukasa and Sakurano", the teacher called out. "You're up next!"
"Come Tsukasa", Sakurano started. "Let's show them what the actors of Phoenix Wonderland are made of!"
With that, Sakurano and I walked onto the stage.
"The dialogue Sakurano and I will be performing today is taken from an anime adaptation of Romeo and Juliet", I revealed.
"In this scene, Romeo has just found out that Juliet intends to sacrifice herself for the sake of their city, and is now trying to stop her", Sakurano revealed.
"Very well", the acting teacher started. "You two may begin."
With that, Sakurano turned her back to me, and we began acting out our dialogue.
"Juliet wait", I called out. "Why did you not tell me about the sacrifice you must make? Why shoulder that burden alone?"
"Get you gone", Sakurano commanded, her back still turned away from me. "My decision does not concern you."
"How can you say that", I asked, before I began walking up to Sakurano. "Whether in this life or the hereafter, to the end of eternity. So did we vow…"
"It was the pledge of a child", Sakurano stated. "Empty as the air."
"Even if you felt that way", I started. "I shall not let this land's soil be nourished by your blood!"
"My destiny was set at birth", Sakurano stated, before turning around to look at me. "My task was preordained. If you insist on trying to stop me…"
With that, Sakurano pretended to pull out a sword, and point it right at me.
"I swear, I'll run you through!"
I stared at Sakurano for a moment, before continuing.
"I don't care if your destiny has been preordained", I stated, before also pretending to pull out a sword. "If it means that you don't have to suffer eternal torment, I will defy fate itself!"
With that, our dialogue ended, and our class applauded us.
"Well done, you two", our teacher praised. "You both did a wonderful job of conveying the emotions of your characters. Plus, you two have some really good chemistry together."
"Yes", I agreed, before looking at Sakurano. "Looks like you and I make a pretty good team."
After I said this, Sakurano looked at me in shock.
But then…she smiled.
"Well then", she started. "If that's the case, then I hope you and I will get the opportunity to work together again in the future."
