Chapter 12 Accompany Me
Tsukasa's POV
After classes were done for the day, Sakurako and were walking outside of the campus.
As we were doing this, we noticed that some students were setting up for an event.
"Hey guys", Natsu greeted as he walked up to us. "How did it go?"
"It went great", I replied. "As it turns out, Sakurako and I actually have really good chemistry when acting together."
"Aoyagi-San", Sakurako started, changing the subject. "What event are these students setting up for?"
"They're setting up for a homecoming dance", Natsu revealed.
"Homecoming dance", Sakurako asked.
"It's a type of event that American high schools usually hold", Natsu revealed. "However, since many of the students here are from overseas, the school holds its own homecoming dance so those students can experience it as well."
"I see", I said. "Now that I think about it, I think I remember seeing homecoming dances in some American movies Saki would sometimes watch."
After I said this, I made a decision.
"Alright then", I started. "I have made a decision! I shall attend this homecoming dance in honor of my dearest sister!"
"You're going to go to the dance, Tsukasa", Natsu asked. "Great! What about you, Seiryuuin?"
"I guess I could go", Sakurako replied. "But on one condition! I want one of you boys to accompany me to the dance! After all, it is not proper for a lady to attend an event like this without an escort."
"You sound like we're attending a ball", I pointed out. "However, if that is what you wish, then how about I accompany you to the dance, Sakurako?"
"Huh", Sakurako said in surprise. "You'd do that?"
"Why not", I asked. "We can use to to celebrate doing well with our assignment. So, what do you say?"
After I asked this, Sakurako huffed before crossing her arms and turning away from me.
"When asking a lady to attend an event with her, you must do so more formally", she stated.
"You are quite high maintenance, are you", I asked. "But, if that is what you want."
With that, I got down on one knee and held out my hand.
"Seiryuuin Sakurako", I started. "Would you do me the honor of accompanying me to the homecoming dance?"
When I asked this, Sakurano looked at me on shock, before turning away with a light blush on her cheeks.
"I accept", she replied before I stood up.
"Let's change the subject", Natsu started. "Tsukasa, did you manage to find a job yet?"
"Not yet", I replied.
"Job", Sakurano asked.
"I've been thinking about finding a job so that I can contribute to rent and other household funds", I revealed. "However, I haven't been able to find anything yet."
"Is that so", Sakurano asked. "In that case, I may have something for you."
"What is it", I asked.
"I have recently gotten a job as a party entertainer", Sakurano revealed. "I can give you the details of the party planning company I work for."
