Chapter 28 Ceremony
Toya's POV

I sat patiently at the wedding venue as I waited for the ceremony to begin.

As I waited, I looked down at my phone; which was projecting the hologram of the Virtual Singers.

"How long is it going to take for the ceremony to begin", Rin asked impatiently.

After she did…music began playing.

"The ceremony is starting", Kohane said excitedly.

Then, the guests sat down as the ceremony began.

After a few moments, the doors opened, and Akito appeared.

He began walking down the aisle, but suddenly stopped when he reached me.

He held out his hand for a fist bump; which I gladly returned.

Afterwards, Akito continued walking until he reached the end of the aisle.

Then, the doors opened again, and An appeared with her father.

As the two began walking down the aisle, I looked at Kohane; whose eyes were tearing up at the sight of her partner.

Similar to Akito, when An reached Kohane, she suddenly stopped before holding out her hand.

Kohane took An's hand with both of hers for a second. Then, she let go before An continued to walk down the aisle.

When she got there, she let go of her father's arm…before grabbing onto Akito's hand.

Then, the ceremony officially began.

Like Kohane, I became emotional at the sight of my partner getting married.

I then took a look at the other guests, and when I did…I spotted Saki sitting next to Shiho.

She was staring at Akito and An…and she had a longing look on her face.

The ceremony was over. Akito and An were now married.

Currently, the guests were outside, throwing flower petals at the newly wedded couple as they walked past them.

When they walked past Kohane and I, they smiled at us, as we smiled back.

They then continued walking, and Kohane and I turned to face each other.

"I can't believe that An-Chan and Shinonome-Kun are finally married", she said happily. "I hope that they have a wonderful future together!"

"So do I", I agreed.

"Anyway", Kohane started. "We should probably start making our way to the reception venue."

With that, Kohane left.

I was about to follow her, but I suddenly stopped when I spotted Saki again.

She was kneeling down to pick up a sunflower that had fallen from An's bouquet. Then, she stood up…before looking at it longing.

Confused, I walked up to her.

"Saki", I said, getting her attention.

"Oh", she started. "Hey, Toya-Kun! I didn't see you there!"

"Are you okay, Saki", I asked.

"Huh", Saki said in confusion. "Why are you asking that?"

"Its just…", I started. "During the ceremony, you were looking at Akito and Shiraishi-San longingly."

"Oh", Saki said. "I was?"

"Yes", I replied. "Is everything okay?"

"Everything's fine", Saki reassured. "It's just, when I saw An-Chan and Akito-Kun getting married…it made me realize something."

"Realize what", I asked.

"That…", Saki started. "…it would be nice to get married myself one day."

When Saki said this, I looked at her in shock.

Then, I looked down as I began to think about what she said. And when I did this…I too realized something.

With my mind made up, I took a deep breath…before looking up at Saki.

"Saki", I started. "Would you marry me?"
