Chapter 31 Asking for Permission
Ichika's POV

We were at Saki's house, and she had just revealed something big.

"You're getting married, Saki-Chan", Honami asked in shock.

"To Aoyagi-San", Shiho added.

"I am", Saki replied happily.

"But why", Shiho asked.

"Because seeing An-Chan and Akito-Kun get married made me realize that I want to get married as well", Saki replied.

"Saki-Chan", Honami started. "Getting married is not something that should be taken lightly. Are you sure that you're ready for it?"

"I'm sure about one thing", Saki revealed. "I want to be with Toya-Kun forever!"

After Saki said this, it made me think about a certain someone.

"Saki", I started. "If you are sure that you want to be with Aoyagi-San, then I think you should marry him."

"You do", Saki asked.

"Yes", I replied, before putting my hand on my heart. The hand which I was wearing Tsukasa's ring on. "I think that, when we find the person we want to spend the rest of our life with, we should hold onto them and never let go."

Saki seemed to realize who was on my mind as I said this, because she suddenly gave me a hug.

"It's okay, Ichi-Chan", she reassured me. "Once he's done studying in America, Onii-Chan will come back and marry you!"

"What", I exclaimed as I pulled away from the hug. "What makes you say that?!"

"He did get you a ring", Shiho pointed out.

"He made it clear that it wasn't an engagement ring", I countered.

"But he said that it represented his promise to always love you", Saki countered back. "He even asked us permission to give you the ring!"

"He did", I asked in shock.

"He did", Saki replied. "It was like he was asking parents for their daughter's hand in marriage! So you see? Onii-Chan is totally going to marry you someday!"

"Marry Tsukasa", I breathed out.

Then, a huge smile came to my face, before I placed my hands over my heart again .

I hope that happens someday.

Tsukasa's POV

I was in my room, when my phone suddenly went off.

I picked it up, and was surprised to see Toya's number.

"Toya", I said. "Why is he calling now? It's late in Japan?"

With that, I answered the call.

"Greetings, Toya", I greeted.

"Greetings, Tsukasa-Senpai", Toya greeted. And for some reason…he seemed nervous?

"Are you okay, Toya", I asked in concern. "You sound nervous."

After I asked this, I heard Toya take a deep breath.

"Tsukasa-Senpai", he started. "I need to ask you something important."

"What is it", I asked, suddenly becoming concerned.

"Tsukasa-Senpai, please give me permission to marry your sister!"

When Toya said these words, I froze up in shock.

"M…marry", I breathed out. "You want to marry Saki?"

"Yes", Toya replied nervously.

If only he could see the huge smile that had come to my face.

"Toya", I started. "That is wonderful news! Of course you have my blessing!"

"I do", Toya asked in shock. "Are you sure, Tsukasa-Senpai?"

"Because it is you, I am ten thousand percent sure", I replied.

"Really", Toya asked.

"Of course", I replied. "I know you, Toya. And I know that you would never intentionally hurt Saki."

"Tsukasa-Senpai", Toya said with emotion in his voice. "Thank you so much for trusting me!"

"You're very welcome, Toya", I said. "Please look after Saki for me."

"I will", Toya replied. "I promise!"
