Chapter 32 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
Tsukasa's POV
I was currently at an assembly in which the head of the musical theater program was addressing the students.
"This week, the annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade will take place", she pointed out. "Our school has been partaking in the parade for a few years now, and students from all years are encouraged to participate."
When I heard this, I became excited.
"There is a bulletin board on the back wall, which lists the different positions available depending on what year you are in", the head revealed. "If you are interested in participating in the parade, then please head over there to sign up. Thank you all very much."
With that, the assembly ended, and a bunch of students rushed over to the bulletin board.
Once I got to it, I began looking at the all the available positions in the first year section.
"Flag twirler", I repeated, before smirking. "Yes. I can't think of a better position for me. Well, other than being the star performer of the parade of course."
"You'll get your chance to do that when you become an upperclassman", Sakurako stated as she walked up to me.
"And when I do, I shall make the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade shine brighter than it ever has before", I exclaimed.
"I'm sure you will", Sakurako stated.
"So, Sakurako", I started. "What position will you be taking in the parade?"
"Let me see", Sakurako started, before talking a closer look at the bulletin board. "I think...I'll be a cheerleader."
"Cheerleader", I repeated. "I've never seen you do something like that before. I'm actually kind of excited to see you do that."
After I said this…Sakurako's cheeks suddenly began turning red for some reason.
"You are", she asked.
Then, she looked away shyly.
"Well then", she started, before suddenly looking back at me. "If that's the case, then I'll have to make sure to shine extra brightly for you!"
A Few Days Later
Ichika's POV
Even though it was quite late, I was at Saki's house to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, which Toya's older brother was live-streaming for us.
"Wow", Saki said in awe. "This parade is so cool! Thank you so much for live-streaming it for us, Natsu-Kun!"
"Anything for my future sister-in-law", Natsu stated. "Toya's watching from at home as well. Oh! Here he comes!"
With that, Natsu zoomed in on the parade.
Soon, we spotted Tsukasa, which was easy because his flag twirling was way for extravagant than anybody else's.
"There he is", Saki exclaimed happily. "It's Onii-Chan!"
After this, Tsukasa suddenly came up to Natsu.
"Greetings Natsu", he said. "I see you are recording my magnificent flag twirling skills!"
"Actually, I'm live-streaming", Natsu revealed. "Toya, Saki-San, and Hoshino-San are watching."
"They are", Tsukasa said in shock.
"Hi, Onii-Chan", Saki greeted excitedly.
"Greetings, my dear sister", Tsukasa greeted. "And my future brother in law! And of course, my beloved Ichika!"
"Tsukasa", I said, suddenly becoming emotional.
"Tsukasa", Natsu started. "You're falling behind. You should probably head back to your spot."
"Oh", Tsukasa said. "Right. Farewell everyone! I love you!"
"Bye Onii-Chan", Saki greeted. "Love you too!"
With that, Tsukasa rushed off…before I got a chance to say 'I love you' as well.
Because of this, I suddenly hugged my legs as I began to cry.
"Oh, Ichi-Chan", Saki said, before pulling me into a hug. "It's okay! Before you know it, Winter break will be here! Then you'll be with Onii-Chan again!"
After Saki said this, I nodded.
She's right. Before I know it, I'll be with Tsukasa again.
