Chapter 35 We're Having a Baby
An's POV

After school, Akito and I went to the doctor.

They took a blood test, and told us that it would only take a few hours for the results.

While we waited, Akito and I decided to go to the park.

As we were sitting down on a bench…I saw a child playing with their parents.

They looked like such a happy and loving family. When I saw them…my chest started feeling warm.

Then…I ended put my hand on my stomach.

Suddenly…Akito also put his hand on my stomach.

I looked to face him, and he was looking at my stomach in awe.

"It's amazing, isn't it", he asked.

"What's amazing", I asked.

"That our child could be inside of you right now."

After Akito said this, I looked at him in shock.

But then…I looked down at my stomach…and a small smile came to my face.

"Yeah", I said softly. "It is amazing."

After I said this, my phone suddenly rang.

I looked at it, and saw that it was the doctor, which made my heart begin to pound in my chest.

I took a deep breath. Then, answered the call, making sure to put it on speaker.

"Hello, doctor", I greeted.

"Hello, Shinonome-San", the doctor greeted. "The results are back, and…you are indeed pregnant."

When I heard these words…I felt multiple emotions at the same time.

"Um…", I started. "Okay then. Thank you so much, doctor."

With that, I ended the call. Then…I looked at Akito…who had a look of shock on his face.

"Akito", I started. "Are you okay?"

"I…", Akito started. "…don't know. I'm feeling so many things at the same time."

"I…", I started. "I'm the same. I feel shocked. I feel scared. But also…I feel…happy."

When I said this, a huge smile suddenly came to my face.

But then, I remembered Akito not be as happy about this as I was.

I turned to look at him, and then…a huge smile also came to his face.

We both started crying, and then…he pulled me into a hug.

"This is actually happening", I said happily. "We're having a baby."

"Yeah", Akito said. "We're having a baby."

Akito and I walked into Weekend Garage, where we found our partners and my dad waiting for us.

"An-Chan", Kohane said before rushing up to me and giving me a hug. "Aoyagi-Kun told me that you went to the hospital. Are you okay?"

"About that", I started, as I pulled away from the hug. "Akito and I have some news."

"Your pregnant", my dad said suddenly, resulting in our partners looking at us in shock.

"Huh", Kohane exclaimed. "You're pregnant, An-Chan?!"

"You're pregnant, Shiraishi-San", Toya asked in shock.

"Y…yes", I replied, before looking at my dad. "How did you know I was pregnant, Dad?"

"You've been vomiting for a few days", my dad pointed out. "It reminded me of the morning sickness your mom had when she was pregnant."

"Wait a minute", I started. "If you suspected I was pregnant, why didn't you tell me?"

"I wanted you realize it in your own time", my dad replied.

I just groaned at this. Then, my dad walked up to me and Akito.

"Anyway", he started. "Are you two okay? How are you feeling about this?"

"Shocked", I replied. "Scared. And happy."

"I felt that way too when I found out your mom was pregnant with you", my dad revealed.

Then, he pulled me into a hug.

"But you don't need to worry", he reassured, before pulling away from the hug. "You're not alone."

"Ken-San's right", Kohane said, before suddenly grabbing onto my hands. "I'll do my best to help out in anyway I can, An-Chan!"

"So will I", Toya said, before putting his hand on Akito's shoulder. "After all, we're a team."

"Toya", Akito said, before smiling. "Thanks, dude."

For some reason, I suddenly became very emotional…and I started crying very loudly.

"An", Akito said in concern as he rushed up to me.

"Are you okay, An-Chan", Kohane asked in concern.

"You guys…are the bestest team ever", I exclaimed through my tears. "I love you guys so much!"

After I said this…I grabbed onto both Kohane and Toya and pulled them into a hug.

Akito's POV

I watched An hug our partners as she balled her eyes out.

"Is she okay", I asked in concern.

"It's probably the pregnancy hormones", Ken replied.

Then, I looked back at An…and smiled like an idiot.

"Congratulations", Ken said as he put his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks", I said, before worry began setting in. "Ken, do you think I'm going to be a good dad?"

"You will be", Ken stated. "And you can always come to me if you need advice."

After I heard this, I smiled at Ken.

"Thanks Ken", I said. "For everything."
