Chapter 59 The Future Ahead
Akito's POV

We were in Sekai with some of our friends.

"A toast", Meiko said as she held up a glass. "To Vivid BAD SQUAD's graduation!"

"To Vivid BAD BAD SQUAD's graduation", everybody exclaimed.

"Thank you so much, everyone", Kohane said.

"Congrats on graduating, everyone", Ken said. "May the future ahead be bright."

"Thanks dad", An said.

Then, she turned to look at me, and gave me a mischievous smirk.

"Speaking of the future", she started. "The other day, Akito and I went for my usual pregnancy check up, and…we found out the gender of our baby!"

When An revealed this, everybody looked at us in shock.

"Really", Kohane asked.

"Why didn't you tell us", Ken asked.

"Since we were all gonna meet up to celebrate your graduation, we decided to wait until then", I revealed.

"Besides", An started. "Waiting gave us time to prepare a fun way to tell you guys."

"A fun way", Toya asked.

"Just give me a second", Meiko instructed. "I'll go get what we need."

With this, Meiko quickly went behind the counter before pulling a tray out from it. Then, she started passing the items that were on the tray to everyone.

"Are these…chocolate bombs", Kohane asked when she got hers.

"I've heard of those", Toya revealed. "You put them into milk, and then they dissolve into hot chocolate."

"Correct", An said. "And these chocolate bombs were specifically made by me and Meiko-San!"

"Once they dissolve, the milk will turn either blue or pink", Meiko revealed.

"Then what are we waiting for", Rin asked. "Let's put them into our milk! I wanna know if An-Chan and Akito-Kun's baby is a boy or a girl!"

"Okay everyone", An started. "Drop the bombs into the milk on the count of three! One, two, three!"

With that, everybody dropped their chocolate bombs into their milk.

Then…we waited a moment for them to dissolve, and when they did…

"It turned pink! The baby is a girl!"

After Rin exclaimed this, everybody cheered with joy.

"Congratulations, An-Chan", Kohane exclaimed before giving her a hug.

"Thank you, Kohane", An said.

"Congratulations, Akito", Toya said, before putting his hand on my shoulder.

"Thanks, dude", I said.

"Looks like I'm having a granddaughter", Ken said, before wrapping his arms around me and An's shoulders. "Congratulations, you two."

After this, everyone continued to celebrate.

Then, Kohane suddenly got an alert on her phone.

She read it, and when she did…her eyes went wide.

"It's an email from the music school!"

"It is", I asked in shock.

Then, I also got an alert on my phone, which I read as well.

"I got one too!"

"You did", Arata asked in shock.

"What does it say", Kotaro asked.

"I'm not good at reading English", I revealed. "Could you please read it for me, Toya?"

"Of course", Toya replied. "Before taking my phone from me. "Congratulations, Akito Shinonome. We have watched your audition video, and have decided to move you to the round!"

"I got through to the next round", I asked in shock.

"What does yours say, Kohane", An asked excitedly.

"Mine says the same thing", Kohane replied happily. "I'm going to the next round as well!"

"Yes", An exclaimed, before pulling Kohane into a tight hug. "I knew you could do it, girl!"

After An said this, she let go of Kohane before running up to me and giving me a hug as well.

"And I knew you could do it too, Akito", she exclaimed excitedly.

"Thanks, An", I said.

"Congrats you guys", Kotaro said. "So, what do they mean by next round?"

"The first round of auditions requires you to send in a video of you performing", I revealed. "If they think that you're good enough, then they'll send you to the next round, in which you have to perform for them in person at the school."

"When's the in person audition", Souma asked.

"According the email, it's not that long to go", Kohane revealed.

"Well then", Arata started. "What are we waiting for? We'd better start preparing you two for the audition."
