Chapter 60 Audition
Kohane's POV

Before we knew it, it was already time for me and Akito's in person audition!

After being in New York for a couple of days, we were now backstage at the school's main auditorium.

"Are you nervous, Shinonome-Kun", I asked.

"Yeah", Akito replied. "You?"

"Yes", I replied.

"You have nothing to be nervous about, Kohane", Akito reassured. "You're an amazing singer. You'll pass this audition no sweat."

"You really think so", I asked hopefully.

"You know me, Kohane", Akito started. "I don't sugar coat things. If I say you're an amazing singer, I mean it."

After Akito said this, I smiled at him.

"Thank you so much, Shinonome-Kun", I said. "Also, I'm sure that you'll do great at your audition as well!"

Before Akito could reply to this, somebody called out his name.

"Akito Shinonome? You're up!"

After hearing this, Akito took a deep breath.

"I hope you're right", he said. "Wish me luck, Kohane."

"Good luck, Shinonome-Kun", I said.

Then, Akito walked onto the stage, and I watched him from backstage.

"Good luck, Akito", I heard An exclaim from the audience.

I saw Akito crack a small smile at this. He then took one last deep breath, before doing his performance.

When he was done, I heard our friends (and especially An) cheering loudly for him.

"That's my husband", she exclaimed loudly.

"You shouldn't just shoot up like that when you're pregnant, Shiraishi-San", I heard Toya scold.

This made Akito laugh. Then, he ran backstage and up to me.

"You did it, Shinonome-Kun", I exclaimed.

"Thanks", Akito said.

"Kohane Azusawa", somebody called out. "You're up!"

"Looks like it's your turn", Akito said. "Break a leg, Kohane."

"Thank you, Shinonome-Kun", I said.

Then, after taking a deep breath…I walked onto the stage.

As I was walking, I looked into the audience, and saw An frantically waving at me.

I gave a small wave back. Then, I stopped at the center of the stage.

I looked at the judges, and gulped nervously.

But then, I looked around at the faces of my teammates…and I realized something. As long as I had their support, I had nothing to be afraid of.

With this in mind, I took a deep breath, and then…I did my performance.

When I was done…An shot out of her seat and started cheering frantically for me.

"You go, girl", she exclaimed loudly. "You see that?! That's my partner!"

"What did I just say, Shiraishi-San", Toya scolded as he tried to get An to sit back down.

I giggled at this. Then, I ran backstage and up to Akito.

"You were great, Kohane", he said.

"Thank you so much, Shinonome-Kun", I said. "I just hope that our auditions were enough to get us into the school."

One Week Later

Vivid BAD SQUAD excitedly rushed into Crase Café.

"Welcomie, everyone", Miku greeted. "You all seem excited?"

"That's because Akito and Kohane's both got emails from the music school", An replied excitedly.

"Really", Rin asked excitedly.

"Then what are you all waiting for", Len asked excitedly. "Read the emails and tell us what they say!"

"Okay", I said, before turning to look at Akito. "Shinonome-Kun, on the count of three."

"Right", Akito said. "One, two, three!"

With that, Akito and I both read our emails.

Then…a huge smile came to both of our faces.

"I did it", I exclaimed happily. "I got in!"

"So did I", Akito exclaimed happily.

"Yes", An exclaimed.

Then, she rushed up to me and gave me a hug.

"I knew you could do it, girl", she exclaimed.

Then, she quickly let go of me before running up to Akito and hugging him as well.

"And I knew you could do it as well, Akito", she exclaimed.

"So did I", Toya added. "Congratulations to you both."

"Thank you, An-Chan and Aoyagi-Kun", I said. "And thank you to everyone else for supporting us as well."

"Yeah", Akito agreed. "Thanks, guys."

"You're welcome", Kaito said.

"It was our pleasure", Luka added.

"Well then", Meiko started. "Looks like this calls for a celebration."
