Chapter 65 Birthday Surprise
Tsukasa's POV

I had just arrived at school, when Sakurako walked up to me.

"Good morning, Tsukasa", she greeted.

Then, she held up a small cake box.

"Happy birthday", she said. "I wasn't sure what flavor you liked, so I just got you plain vanilla."

"That's alright", I said, before taking the cake box. "Thank you very much, Sakurako."

After I said this, I sighed sadly.

"What's wrong", Sakurako asked in concern. "It isn't a good for the birthday boy to be upset on his special day."

"I apologize for dampening the mood", I started. "It's just…this is the first time I've spent my birthday without my sister, or Ichika."

"I see", Sakurako said. "I'm very sorry about that, Tsukasa."

"That's just how it is", I stated. "Anyway, we should probably be heading to class."

"I'm home", I greeted as I entered my apartment after school. And as soon as I did…I was surprised to hear this familiar voice.

"Tsukasa-Kun", they exclaimed.

"Wait a minute", I said in realization. "Is that…"

Before I could finish speaking…I was suddenly tackled to the ground!

Once I regained my composure, I opened my eyes…and saw a familiar face hovering above me.

"Tsukasa-Kun", she started with her signature smile. "Happy birthday!"

"Emu", I said in shock. "What are you doing here?!"

"Happy birthday, Tsukasa", I heard another familiar voice say. "Rui wishes you a happy birthday as well."

With this, I sat up before looking over Emu's shoulder, and seeing another familiar face.

"Nene", I said in shock. "You're here too!"

"It's not just Emu and I", Nene revealed.

"Then who else is…"

"Welcome home, Onii-Chan!"

"Welcome home, Tsukasa."

When I heard these two familiar voices…my heart stopped in my chest.

(Those voices. Could it be…?)

With this, I got Emu off of me before quickly getting up and rushing into the apartment.

When I did…my eyes spotted the two people I wanted to see the most on this day.

"Happy birthday, Onii-Chan!"

"Happy birthday, Tsukasa."

"Ichika", I breathed out. "Saki."

After I said this…tears started falling from my eyes…and a huge smile came to my face.

Then, I rushed up to Ichika and Saki before wrapping my arms around them and pulling them close to me.

"I can't believe you two are actually here", I breathed out.

Then, I pulled away slightly so I could look at the faces of the two people who were most dear to me.

"I'm not dreaming, am I", I asked.

"No, you're not", Ichika replied, before putting her hand on my cheek. "We're here, Tsukasa."

After Ichika said this, my smile became even wider.

Then, I pulled Ichika and Saki back into our hug.

"Happy birthday, Tsukasa-Senpai", I heard yet another familiar voice say.

Then I looked up…and saw Toya.

"Toya", I said in shock. "You're here as well?"

"Yes", Toya replied. "In fact, my whole group is here. They're just at Shiraishi-San's uncle's place at the moment."

"They're here as well", I asked in shock.

"Yes", Toya replied. "Akito and Kohane want to watch the talent show you'll be performing in so that they can get a better idea of what skill level they'll need to reach."

"Plus, that means that they'll still be able to celebrate Toya-Kun's birthday with him", Saki added.

"Wait", I started. "You're staying until the talent show."

"That's right", Saki replied. "That means that, after the school year ends, we'll be flying back to Japan with you!"

Hearing this brought a huge smile to my face. Then, I pulled Ichika and Saki back into our hug.

"This is the best birthday gift ever!"
