Chapter 74 Direct My Own Movie
Rui's POV
I woke up one morning when I heard someone calling out my name.
"Rui-Kun! Rui-Kun! Wakey wakey, Rui-Kun!"
After I heard this, I opened my eyes…and smiled when I saw a familiar face coming from my phone.
"Good morning, Miku", I greeted as I sat up.
"Good morning, Rui-Kun", Miku greeted. "Happy birthday!"
"Thank you very much, Miku", I said.
"You have the day off from movie making stuff, right", Miku asked.
"Yes", I replied. "Mr Gray was kind enough to give me the day off for my birthday."
"That means that you can come to Sekai", Miku pointed out excitedly. "I'll get everyone else too, and then we can all celebrate your birthday together!"
…
I had just arrived in sekai, and as soon as I did…I heard a familiar voice yell out name.
"Rui-Kun!"
After I heard this, I opened my arms…just in time for Emu to jump into them.
"Rui-Kun", she started. "We missed you so much!"
"I missed you all too", I said. "I'm deeply sorry that I didn't come and visit more."
"Don't blame yourself, Rui", Emiko said. "Shooting a movie is very time consuming."
"Speaking of shooting a movie", Nene started. "How is that going?"
"It's going very well", I replied. "Getting to see the shooting of a movie up close and personal is an amazing experience. And the fact that it's a movie being directed by someone I look up makes it a dream come true!"
"I'm glad that you are able to have an experience like this, Rui", Kaito said.
"Yes", I said. "Plus, this experience has actually made me realize something."
"Which is", Tsukasa asked.
"That it would be amazing to direct my own film someday."
"A movie directed by Rui-Kun", Emu asked with excitement. "That sounds super duper wonderhoy!"
"Indeed", Tsukasa agreed. "Especially since I will be the staring in the lead role!"
"The lead role", Nene asked. "Who says that you'll even be in the film?"
"I'm where I am today thanks to being in the shows Rui has directed", Tsukasa stated. "Therefore, when I inevitably make my debut as a film star, it must absolutely be in Rui's film!"
Hearing Tsukasa say this made me smile.
"Is that so, Tsukasa-Kun", I asked. "In that case, I will make sure to create a movie that will show off your talents perfectly."
"Thank you, Rui", Tsukasa said. "As expected of our brilliant director!"
"Rui's just revealed that he'd like to direct his own movie someday", Nene pointed out. "And yet, you're discussing it as if it's going to happen soon."
"That's because it doesn't matter how long it will take", Tsukasa stated. "With Rui's brilliant directing, and my amazing acting, we will definitely make a film together someday!"
"I can't wait to see that movie", Emu said happily.
"Neither can I", Emiko added.
As my group continued to talk…a smile came to my face.
(A movie directed by me and starring Tsukasa-Kun? I hope that becomes a reality someday.)
