This one is about Luna, and the title she was given, from the day she earned it. The day she became close to her little brother, and their bonds getting stronger. Thank you to "Marvelomac1010" for the concept to this chapter, enjoy reading this everyone.

Chapter 107: Story behind it all...

(January 7. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

Michelle Lewis is done with her work, and she places them all into the brief case. She then comes out from her room, and she can hear how calm and peaceful everything is, the loud house is just a quiet and peaceful time, and it is Saturday. She also knows that some of them have gone out, they have some plans to spend this weekend.

Michelle then goes upstairs, she wants to see if some of the others are here. She goes to the one bedroom that has its door slightly open and inside she sees Lincoln and Luna, both sitting on one big bean bag chair, and watching a movie on the laptop, and just bonding. This makes Michelle happy to hear, but then something comes to her mind.

'Luna told me that she is the legal guardian of her brother, and that title was given to her by her grandfather, but she never did tell me the full story of how it all went down. I should ask her, later.'

(An hour later.)

We see Luna coming down the stairs, her bonding with Lincoln is done, and he left earlier for Gus' Games n' Grub to meet with his friends, and so Luna goes to see what is on TV, but then she sees Michelle sitting on the couch. "Hey mom, just coming down here to see what's on television."

Michelle smirks. "Go on right ahead, sweetie. But, I am glad that you are here, because I wanna talk to you about something lately."

Luna is confused, and so she sits on the same couch as Michelle Lewis. "Okay then, what's going on mom?"

Michelle Lewis then asks. "Lunes, I recall that you are dubbed the legal guardian to Lincoln Loud, but I was never ever told of the full story, the truth behind it. I was curious, and I wanna know more about how you became the legal guardian to your little brother."

Luna seems a little bit surprised that she would ask her that, and then she nods. Luna then tells Michelle. "Well, becoming the guardian to my little brother, was the best day of my life, and it was also the day that I started to resent my parents, Lynnard and Rita..."

(Flashback, many years ago.)

We see Luna, 10 years old and she heads into the kitchen but she is not there to get something to eat. Then she sees a sticky note on the fridge, and it reminds them that Pop-pop is coming and she smiles seeing this, she then goes to the backyard to get some air.

But then Lynn comes inside, she walks by Luna and then mutters. "Wimp." Lynn then heads to her bedroom, and this confuses Luna and so she goes to the backyard, but just as she opens the door she hears her brother calling out, and he sounds scared.

"Someone, help me please!"

Luna then spots her little brother, six years old and stuck hanging by his arms on the tree branch, and this alarms Luna and her big sister instincts kick in, to save her little brother. Luna is now below the tree, and she calls out. "Lincoln, what the heck happened? How did you get up there?"

Lincoln has some tears and he explains. "Lynn called me stupid and scared and dared me up this tree. But, I don't know how to get down! She left me here, Luna help me!"

Luna needs to think fast, and she looks around if there is anyone who can help. Luna then realizes that there is not much time, and so she calls out. "Lincoln, hold on. I'm coming!" Luna then starts to climb the tree. "Hold on a little longer, little brother. I'm coming."

But they don't know, that someone old sees this and though he wants to intervene, he waits and watches at what might happen next.

Luna makes it to the tree branch. "Here I am, I got you!" Luna grabs both of his arms, and she remains balanced and seated on the tree branch, and she hugs her brother. "There, there. I'm here now." Lincoln doesn't let go, and he doesn't speak either. He is till scared, and he wants to get down.

Luna looks around, for anything that can work, and she sees something. "Alright, Lincoln Hold onto me, I'm getting us both down from here, do you trust me little brother?"

Lincoln looks to his big sister, and he sees the comforting smile on Luna, and the light around her from the sunlight going through the tree. He feels like he is seeing someone whom he can trust, and truly love as his big sister, or a guardian angel. Lincoln gulps and he nods, and so he holds onto his big sister.

Luna then holds onto her brother, and she jumps off the tree branch, but they don't hit the ground. Thankfully, the trampoline was below, and they bounce around and then stop. Luna gets off the trampoline, and then she looks to her baby brother, and Lincoln has tears of joy.

"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, Luna!"

Luna smiles hearing this. "I've got you, Linky. I will always be there to help you, when you need it the most." She then places a loving kiss to his forehead, then the door opens and coming out are Lynnard and Rita, and they see the situation going on, well they missed it.

"Luna, what the heck happened here?" asked Rita.

"And why is Lincoln crying?" asked Lynnard.

Luna then explains. "Lincoln was stuck on the tree, and he didn't know how to get down, and all because Lynn dared him to, and so I went to save him, while Lynn left him alone."

The parents were shocked to hear this, and then Rita looks to the white haired boy hugging his big sister with tears. "Lincoln, that was very reckless of you to do. You should know better when taking the words of your sister seriously."

"Also, you're not the most fit to climb trees, kiddo" replied Lynn Sr. This confuses Lincoln, and he was expecting them to get Lynn to fess up, but they don't.

"Oh, not so fast there!" They see, that the man watching them was Albert/Pop-pop. "I heard and saw what Luna did, and what she did was something I am truly proud of, and she is truly the big sister for Lincoln." He then sees Luna and Lincoln race over, and they hug the elderly man, and so he hugs them back. "Luna I am proud of what you did. That was brave, and you're brother didn't know better, he is still young and getting teased and mocked is something not easy to take at that age."

Luna nods. "I will always protect my little brother, and that nothing bad will happen to him." Lincoln smiles hearing this, and so he goes over and he hugs his big sister, and this makes Albert smile, and also gives him an idea.

"Luna, after what you did. That was sure true proof enough for me to finally realize and see, that you can take up a special roll for whatever happens to you and you're little brother. Luna, I wanna bestow to you the title of being Lincoln's legal guardian. Because you went to save him, when no one else was around and you didn't abandon him either."

"You risked your own life, and came up with a plan that worked and showed that you can be trusted to keep Lincoln safe, and the words you spoke are that of a devoted sister to their little sibling and I know that in the future, you will always have you're brothers back for when he needs it the most. So, what do you say, Lunes?"

Luna smiles hearing this and she has tears of joy. "Yes, I will be Linky's legal guardian!" She then hugs her grandfather. "Thank you, Pop-pop." Albert smiles seeing this, and he embraces Luna and Lincoln.

Lynn Sr and Rita are confused, and they were going to protest against this choice, but then they see how happy Lincoln and Luna are, and so they have no other choice but to agree, and yet they feel like that what they had planned for Luna when the time was right, is getting hampered by this choice from Albert.

(Timeskip, night time.)

Luna had tucked her brother into bed, which she still shares with him as she takes the top bunk. Luna kisses his forehead, and smiles seeing him hugging Bun-Bun. "Goodnight, little brother. Sweet dreams, and I promise to always be there, and help you for when you need it, a promise that I will never ever break, little brother."

Luna then leaves the bedroom, she needs to go and use the restroom, and she recalls that Lynn Jr is now grounded for the rest of the week for what she did and she didn't like it and tried to attack Lincoln, but this costed her a month of grounding, and no sports too, those were Albert's words, which the parents had to agree.

Luna then stops and she hears something, a talk from the vent, and she can hear her parents talking in their bedroom.

Rita. "What the heck do we do now? Lynnie, you had a plan to help Luna find her talent just like the others, and her music is nice, but could use some more edge and something more exciting. I mean, rock n' roll is her genre. But, she's been made Lincoln's legal guardian, and chances she won't be able to leave his side."

Lynn Sr. "I know, I know. But this is all just some small setback, and nothing more. This legal guardian thing is just some silly old nonsense. There are no such thing after all, and Albert's choice is not the right one too, I swear he needs a retirement home when the time comes. But, the plan is still in motion, and Luna will be as talented as the others."

"The concert she will go to, is in a few years from now. Until Mick Swagger gets himself off the depression state and returns to his musical genre, gig and spirit. Possibly when Luna is in the seventh grade. Chances that Luna will forget about this dumb legal guardian thing too when she reaches that age."

Luna is surprised to hear this, she didn't think that her parents would try something like this, and deep down something is stirring within Luna, and she is ticked off. 'So, that's how it's gonna be, huh? Well, bad news for you two. I am not going to stray away from this and I will not forget this.'

'From this day forward, whatever you have planned for me, will be nothing in my book. I vow to never ever fall for any of your stupid tricks and lies. You will never make me do what you want, because I am Luna Marie Loud, Legal Guardian of Lincoln Albert Loud. Our sibling bond is strong, and you will not break us apart!'

(End flashback.)

Michelle sighs, and she looks disappointed. "God damn those two, they tried to make you into someone you didn't wanna be, and worse have you forget everything that happened on that day. At least those two are trying to change, and when I mean trying... they are struggling like fish out of water."

"But they didn't like Lincoln?! Are they insane?! Sounds like they don't care about their only son at all, almost like..."

"Like they just wanted talented daughters who would fall in line?" asked Luna with a stern tone. "Sounds about right, mom." Luna sighs and she looks to the necklace she has. "After what I heard on that day, I was against Rita and Lynnard, and I didn't want anything to do with them ever again. They tried to get me into rock n' roll, and when I told Lori and Leni about what they have said that day, they never believed me. But at least now, they do."

Michelle then places a hand on Luna's shoulder. "Luna, you are a devoted loving and protective sister, and the title of legal guardian is the right call. You're grandfather made the right choice, and I don't know when we do visit those two idiots who are nothing more than empty husks of bad parenting, but I will have a word to say about them and what went down on that day."

"I am glad that you were always there for Lincoln, because amongst the other older sisters. You were always there, and made sure that nothing bad ever happened to him, I am so proud of what you have done, and what you have become." Luna then hugs Michelle and so Michelle returns the embrace.

But they don't know, that Lynn Jr heard everything, and she feels bad about what had happened. 'I really did mess up big time back then. I owe Linc an actual apology for what I did back then, and... Michelle is an awesome mom, an awesome mom for Lincoln and Luna.'

Lynn then seems angered. 'When we do visit mom and... Lynnard and Rita, they are so going to get it from me, and perhaps the others. I should tell them about that incident too, about what Luna heard and what we all didn't know about.' Lynn then goes back upstairs. 'Still, if something happens, like if the family becomes separated because the truth of our antics goes out and we get into trouble...'

'Lincoln and Luna, are better off safe under the parental guidance, from Michelle Lewis... Loud.'
