Chapter 112: Two unexpected guests...
(January 12. Ketcham Park. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Just another usual sunny day here at the Park, and Lincoln, Luna, Sam and Jordan are here, and the group are having a talk about some stuff coming up at school, and also another thing. "So, tomorrow is gonna be something that I have planned" replied Lincoln. "Our date."
Luna smirks. "Yeah, well same with me and Sam, little brother."
"We have plans for a date night too" replied Sam. "Sorry it's not a double date, guys."
"It's alright" replied Jordan. She then looks towards Lincoln, and she does some cute puppy eyes. "So, no chances of telling me what the plan of yours for the date is?"
Lincoln chuckles. "The eyes are adorable and cute, but I am sorry to not tell you everything. It is a surprise after all, and I wanna make it special, as always." Jordan giggles and then share a small kiss, and they others are in awe seeing this.
But while that happens, Michelle Lewis looks to them from the bench not too far, and she smiles seeing how happy they are, and so she goes back to the book she is reading, but she is also thinking of something else. 'I might not have birthed those two kids, but I still see them as my own and they see me as their mom, and it's just so nice.'
Then she recalls the two dreams she had, and the whole thing about finding the baby Lincoln and little Luna, and she was now thinking of something. 'I wonder when I will have those dreams again and see where they go, I mean Leni in the dream is alive and...' Then she sees two folks approach her, and she is surprised to see them, and she doesn't look happy anymore seeing them.
Her cousins, Oscar and Emily Lewis.
Alright, let's recap: So, her cousin's hater her along with the other Lewis Family after she went to Hollywood and became a big shot celebrity, and after the parents of Michelle passed away, they tried to keep her away from the service, but the grandfather, Bernardo Lewis Sr, and his son Bernardo Lewis Jr, and with brother's Edgar and Joey intervened, and allowed her to come, since she is still family and he still loves her.
This angered the other Lewis family members, but then came the day Bernardo Sr passed away, and he left in his will the mansion, the entire land, and his money to her, but she only kept the cash as her emergency life savings, and she let the Lewis family take the mansion as an apology for not being around. The family accepted this, but her cousins Oscar and Emily didn't and they never got along with Michelle, even when they were kids.
And, now we're caught up.
Michelle is confused. "Alright, what the hell are you two doing here?"
Oscar speaks. "Hello, Michelle. We heard about these "good things" that you have done to this Podunk town..." Those words anger Michelle. "And we wanted to see the whole thing ourselves."
"Oh, cut the crud. I wanna know what you two are actually doing here!" said Michelle in anger.
Oscar and Emily sigh, and then Emily speaks and still glares at her cousin. "We came here, because we want that fortune back. The money that doesn't belong to you, and belongs to the Lewis family, and you are not a Lewis!"
Michelle scoffs. "Oh, yeah. Go with the stick like that, when everyone else in the family is fine with me and my choices now. Also, the cash was given to me by our deceased grandfather, and our uncles too. Recall that one? Also, you guys are just ticked off for not getting what you think is rightfully yours, the will stated what is true and it stays that way."
Those words anger Emily and Oscar and they are ready to do whatever it takes to claim to what they think is rightfully theirs. Oscar then speaks. "Michelle, that money belongs to the Lewis Family, and that you abandoned us!"
Michelle then speaks. "I never did abandon them! Doug Rockwell kept blackmailing me to do what he says, and all that proof was shown and the others understand that, and yet for some reason you guys don't! I always try to be with the rest of the family for birthdays, Christmas and even Thanksgiving, and they now understand why and they still do, because of the new reasons I have!"
But then Emily speaks. "Unlikely and stupid story, all false and nothing more than some stupid excuse. Now, hand over what we deserve, and get lost you rejected Lewis!"
Michelle is about to snap at these two, but then Lincoln, Luna, Sam and Jordan intervene, and both siblings speak. "Leave our mom, alone!"
Hearing those words, surprises the cousins of Michelle, and then they look to Michelle in anger. "You adopted them?! They don't deserve to be a part of the Lewis family!" yelled Emily.
Michelle scoffs. "I didn't hear anyone complain when you're sister took in that kid from the streets and gave him a better life, and also I didn't adopt them..." But she has something in her mind, a special plan that nobody else knows. "I am taking care of them and they're siblings until their parents can get their heads back on the right track, but they see me as they're mom because they see me as the mother they have always wanted and needed."
"Also, don't ever insult my kids like that, or there will be a whole lot of Hail Mary to hell to pay!" She then cracks her knuckles. "You two ding bats have overstayed you're time here, and should leave!"
Oscar and Emily Lewis then see the folks in the Park glaring at them, and many of them recording the whole thing, and this will get them into some deep trouble for what they have said. Oscar growls. "Fine, we're leaving, but this is not over!" The two cousins then take their leave.
The others are glad that they are gone, then Lincoln looks towards Michelle. "Mom, who were those two?"
Michelle then explains. "Oscar and Emily. They are my cousins, and they hate me the most, but they hated me beyond comparison after I became part of Hollywood and began my life of fame and fortune. Doug kept me away from the reunions, and made sure I stayed in line with what he believes, and he did so with blackmail." This makes Luna and Lincoln feel bad for her.
"But, at least the other members of the family are chill with me, and I don't care about what Oscar and Emily have to say, even as kids we never did get along and this surprises me to see Emily and Oscar on the same side when they don't really are good teaming with each other. They're motive was to have me hand back the fortune that I was given after our grandfather passed away."
"Well, at least they're gone" replied Sam.
Luna sighs. "For now, at least. I'm right, right mom?"
Michelle nods. "Yeah, I know that those two aren't gonna stop, but if they do come back... Then they will regret ever stepping around here again." They didn't like this, two new trouble and they are aiming at Michelle Lewis, and they are afraid of what would happen if they did come back.
Lincoln thinks about this. 'We need to tell the others, they need to be aware of the horrid cousins of the Lewis family, but with everyone here who recorded what happened, chances the other Lewis family members would have seen it, and won't be chill with what those two did.'
