Amity Stadium (Night)
"What the peck just happened!?" Nora asked as she, Jaune, and Ren jumped down from the stands. "Did you just stab that Nevermore with a mountain!?"
"Uh, technically?" Dominic responded, feeling nervous. Because of his apprehension, the stones vanished into thin air.
"Nora, give him some space." Ren told his partner, pulling her away from the pyromancer.
"Dominic, are you okay!?" Ruby asked, dashing towards her brother.
"I'm fine, Ruby. It was just a flesh wound." he said, giving his arm a pat to show it was okay.
"Flesh wound? You got your arm torn off!" Jaune yelled.
"Really, now? I hadn't noticed." Dominic said sarcastically.
"Dominic's healed from far worse than a lost limb before." Connor explained. "No offense, Pyrrha, but you wouldn't be able to lay as much as a scratch against him."
"None taken." the girl said, thankful that she hadn't seriously hurt her friend. Although, she was still a bit rattled by the dismemberment happening at all. "So, how exactly can you use magic?" she asked Dominic.
Suddenly, rocket-propelled lockers crashed into the metal floor, soon followed by several Hunstmen in training. "We'll have to wait to discuss that. But I promise, after this is over, I'll explain everything. Until then, our first priority is stopping this." Dominic said, raising his sword and launching a Sword Beam upwards to get everyone's attention. "Everyone, we have to get to the city! Right now, there are people down there being attacked by Grimm and the White Fang. There are Huntsmen and Huntresses fighting to protect them, but eventually, they will be overwhelmed. Our job is to find the citizens and help them get to the edge of the city so they can find shelter."
"He's right." Connor said, walking up to stand beside his partner. "We've trained our entire lives for this. Now, let's put that training to good use! WHO'S WITH ME!?" Everyone barring Team JNPR, Penny, and Ruby cheered at that before they retrieved their weapons and headed for the exit.
"Whoever was talking on the speaker is the one behind this, right?" Jaune asked.
"Most likely." Dominic said. "And I know who it is. It's Cinder."
"That black-haired girl?" Nora asked.
"Yeah. This was her plan from the beginning." the blonde explained. "There's something at the Academy she wants, but I don't know what it is. I think she wants to use the chaos of the Grimm to get into Beacon without anybody stopping her."
"Which is why we have Gregory and Ivy stationed there." Connor added. "They'll keep Cinder from whatever she wants, buying us all time to get the people below to safety."
The sound of unearthly roaring alerted everyone to something happening at the exit. "Time to play." Dominic said with a grin as he ran to the tunnel leading away from the arena.
Ruby used her Semblance to catch up to her brother, who she found engaged in combat with three Alpha Ursai. The blonde's eye glowed crimson as he stabbed his blade into the ground, creating a small-scale explosion that enveloped everything surrounding him. He wasn't the only one fighting either. Teams CYVY, SSSN, FNKI, and many more were doing what they could to keep the Grimm from reaching the airships.
"Mr. Ironwood, we have to get to the ground." Connor told his Kingdom's leader after running past Ruby.
"The sky is no longer in our control, Mr. Schnee." Ironwood said, looking down at the Sorcerer. "That is why I'm going to take it back." The man turned away from the students, leaving on an airship.
"I hate that guy." Dominic said, grimacing. "Does anyone know how to fly one of these things?" he asked the others, gesturing to the remaining airships.
"I can operate one." Penny spoke up, running to an empty ship, followed soon after by everyone else.
Hijacked Airship (Night)
"Ruby, I don't like that look on your face. What are you thinking of doing?" Dominic asked his sister.
"Torchwick's on that ship." she said, pointing to an airship a few yards away from them. "If I can get back to the arena and hitch a ride on a locker-" She was cut off when Dominic covered her mouth with his hand.
"Ruby, you know I'm all for crazy ideas." the blonde said, his eye glowing. "But that is just insane."
"So what am I supposed to do? Just let Torchwick get away!?" Ruby asked loudly.
"I never said that." Dominic said with a grin. "You remember Christmas 2013?"
Ruby's silver eyes widened as much as they could. "Are you serious? We nearly died!"
"You got a better idea?" the pyromancer asked. When he didn't get a reply, he walked over to Penny. "Open the back door." he told the android.
"I can't believe we're actually doing this." Ruby said, following her brother to the back door as it opened. 'Oh, that is a big drop.' she realized, looking down at the seemingly infinite abyss below them.
"Grab on." Dominic said. Slapping herself in the face, Ruby grabbed hold of her brother's torso. "Now, let's do this."
Closing his eyes, Dominic willed his hands and the bottoms of his feet to begin emitting intense flames. He then jumped into the air, his propulsion enhanced by the literal firepower he was giving off. As a result, he ended up leaping several hundred feet into the air. Ruby then used her Semblance to propel them towards Torchwick's ship. Thanks to Dominic's Semblance powering up Rose Burst, they managed to reach Mach speeds before they landed at their destination.
"Here we go." Ruby said, letting go of her brother. "Torchwick, we're coming for yo-ughh." Almost immediately after she stood up under her own weight, the young Huntress in training vomited.
"Sorry." Dominic said sheepishly, ignoring his sister's glare. Feeling a vibrating sensation in his pocket, he took out his Scroll. Once his mind registered what was being displayed, he turned to Patch. 'Finally.'
Unknown Location (Night)
0 HOURS TO EMERGENCE. COCOON IS NOW HATCHING.
The entire room filled with red light as the cocoon began to shake. Cracks began appearing on the surface before the cocoon unfurled and turned from gray to black. Clear blue eyes opened, and a horrid shriek rang through the small laboratory as Dark Aura radiated through the building.
