Hi Readers: What did you guys think of the first chapter of the story? It took me a while to write it, so I truly hope that you guys liked it. Now, how about we just dive in. Here's Chapter Two of The Caseys: Family Life. Enjoy my dear readers.
Chapter Two
He just finished telling his wife that they have no updates (yet) on the search for her father, and that rightfully made her sad; even worried. But right now, that was not what mattered. What mattered, was that Matt was now in bed with the woman he loves, holding her in his arms so that he can make her feel better; if he can even make her feel better after getting this less-than-ideal news that they wanted to have about her father, their son's abuelo. Even though the man drives Matt crazy, that was no excuse for him not wanting to find his father-in-law; as he needs to have him in his life. Yes, you just heard that; he needs to have him in his life. Right now, the only person that he can really see as a father figure is Antonio. Yes, he thinks of Antonio as a father figure. He's the only example that he has for how to be a father to Matteo and Noah, and that was something that he most desperately needed to have in her father; especially since his father is dead.
Both literally, and fugitively to him; after all, his father did abuse him. And if he were alive, his father wouldn't be allowed to be anywhere near Matteo and Noah; that would be fact, and one that he would be proud to uphold. But he just hates what this feeling that Gabby has is doing to her. It's making her scared, and it's marking her quite worried for her father; the father whom she wants to see again, and introduce to their sons. And that was something that Matt can relate to, as he feels the same way about Ramon; he wants them to know Ramon, and he wants it to happen now. But right now, he can't do that because they can't find him. Taking a breath as he held Gabby close to him while laying down on his side, Matt proceeded to run his fingers up and down her back as a way to try and make the woman he loves feel better than the way she feels at the moment; he just doesn't know if it's working, and he hates that he can't get this automatic reaction.
Slipping close to Matt, Gabby wrapped her arms around her loving husband as he tried to make her feel better. Rubbing her back as he wrapped his arm around Gabby, Matt then went to tug the covers up on top of the both of them as a way to make Gabby feel better. Just laying her head down on his chest, Gabby put her hand on Matt's chest shortly afterwards to try and get herself to relax. After which, she went ahead and kissed his chest; at the same time, Matt kissed the top of her head before taking a breath so that he can whisper to her. "Hey, you okay?"Gabby took a breath when Matt asked her if she was okay, because she knew that she wasn't okay at the moment. Rather, she was worried; and that was not a good feeling, as she felt like she couldn't get a break. Yet, she also knows that her husband doesn't like her father and that makes her want to keep him out of it. "I don't want you to get involved, because I don't want you to pretend you don't…."
Wrapping his legs around Gabby, Matt shook his head as he looked down at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Hey, look up at me baby." Gabby agreed with Matt, looking at him as he asked her to do. Afterwards, she felt Matt bend down and kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world, Gabby smiled as just kissing him made her feel better. "Listen, I want you to hear me when I say this Gabby; Gabby, I'm your husband. Your dad, is my only hope for my children….for Matteo and Noah to have a grandfather. I lost a chance to know my grandparents because of everything that happened when I was a kid." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, well aware that was the case. "Gabby, I love you more than anything. And I want our sons to have what I never had. I want Matteo and Noah to know their grandfather, I want them to know what it's like to have a big family; a family full of love."
Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, unable to hide her smile from him. "No matter what I feel towards Ramon, I know that he's going to love my sons just as much…if not more than how much he loves you; why he's doing this to you right after you gave birth? I have no clue baby. But when it comes to finding your dad, I'm on your side; if not so that we can find him for the boys, then it's so that I can yell at him for having made my wife worry like this both near the end of her pregnancy and at the start of her life as a mother." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt tell her that, thinking that Matt's joking; however, Matt wasn't joking. Turning his head as he ran his hand up and down Gabby's back, Matt smiled at her. "I'm being serious. He put stress on your pregnancy, which he knew about; he better have a damn good reason for why he put you under such stress." Gabby smiled, agreeing with Matt as he told her that; still in disbelief how lucky she is.
Going to grab Matt's hand, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to intertwine their fingers. "I swear, I am not worthy of being your wife." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby say that, hating that she feels that way. "Hey, if anybody isn't worthy of being married to one of us…it's me." Gabby looked up at Matt when he said that, before letting go of his hand and putting her hand on his chest. "Why do you say that baby?" Matt smiled as he pressed his lips to Gabby's forehead. "Because of what you were wiling to do to give us kids in the past, when we thought that it wasn't safe to have kids." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before taking a breath as she doesn't like to think back to that time; especially when it brings back all of the bad memories. "Matt, can you promise me something?" Matt looked at Gabby when she asked him whether he can promise her something. "Depends what it is Gabby." Gabby sighed as she ran her hand down his chest. "Can you stop bringing that up? I know that we're past it because I don't have an aneurysm but…I don't look back fondly on that summer. A year ago, I was thinking that I was saying goodbye to my husband for the last time…" Gabby then sighed.
"I thought that I wouldn't be here with you a year ago, because I thought that…" That's when Gabby was interrupted by one of their boys. "Hey, I got him. Keep talking, I'm going to feed my little guy." Gabby looked up at Matt. "Are you sure?" Matt smiled as he kissed Gabby's forehead, before watching as she rolled over off his chest. "Yes, I'm sure. Daddy wants to go grab Matteo, pick him up in his arms, and then I want to feed him." Gabby smiled when she heard Matt say that. "How do you know it's Matteo?" Matt shrugged. "If it's Noah, then I'll feed him too. Oh, do you want to feed them together? Or do you want to feed them when they need it?" Gabby sighed. "I think I need to make some bottles anyways." Going to open the fridge, Matt saw that was the case. "Do you want to do it right now? There's a couple left, so you need to make some." Gabby agreed with Matt. "You can feed the boys this time while I do some pumping. Can you bring me my pump?"
Matt agreed with Gabby as she asked him that, proceeding to grab two bottles of milk for their boys; after which, he set them down on top of the fridge next to Gabby's breast pump. "I almost think that you should just keep this next to you." Gabby sighed when she heard Matt say that. "Wait, I just realized something; they always say that you should only pump on a full stomach." Putting the bottle of milk that he already has in the basket of clean bottles that he has to bring to Gabby. That's when Gabby decided to say something quite dirty. "I swear, now that's my sexy milk man." Matt laughed a bit when he heard Gabby say that, before looking at the basket that he was carrying; he then realized that it did in fact look like a milk man's basket. "Hey, it actually does look like a milk man's basket." Proceeding to carry it right over to Gabby's side of the bed, Matt smiled as he went to set it down on her side table along with her breast pump for her this morning.
Gabby then proceeded to start to sit up, but Matt stopped her as he wanted to make sure that she takes it easy. "Hey, take it easy and relax baby; remember what the doctor said, you need to relax and just take it easy." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, she then got back in bed while watching Matt walk over to her with the bottles. The then set them down and smiled as he went to grab the plug to the pump. Plugging it in for Gabby, Matt smiled as he went to set it there. "Let's just leave it here for after you eat, because we both know that's what you need to do after you eat." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, before looking at the bottle that she's going to use. "So, I'm going to feed one of the boys with that bottle?" Matt nodded. "Just today, since you haven't eaten yet." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that. Going to get up, Matt smiled as he went to walk away so that he can walk away and get the boys for the both of them.
However, Gabby wasn't going to let that happen before she gets something. "Hey, I think you forgot something Mr. Casey." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, before leaning over his beautiful wife and giving her a sweet kiss. "I love you." Putting her hand on his face, Gabby smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. Matt then leaned his forehead against hers, and just smiled at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Gabby agreed. "Now, go get the boys." Matt laughed as she said that, before walking away to go get the boys for them. At the same time, Gabby couldn't help but smirk as she looked at Matt's gorgeous ass; the ass that she loves to look at in those tight boxers that he's wearing right now. Damn, her husband truly is a sexy man; she loves him more than anything in the entire world. And not just for how handsome he is, but for how he makes her feel.
The way he runs his hands all over her body is incredibly sexy, and it just makes her feel like the most beautiful woman in the entire world; and that's how Matt always wants her to feel, and that's something that she already knows. Moving to grab one of their boys, Matt smiled as he proceeded to bring Noah close to him. "Hi buddy, daddy's going to bring you to mommy so that she can feed you with a bottle okay?" That's when Matt heard Camila come into the room. "Oh, do the boys need to eat?" Turning to look at her mom, Gabby smiled. "If only you came a few minutes earlier and I ate." Camila agreed with her daughter when she said that. "Do you want me to feed one of the boys?" Gabby shook her head. "I got it mom, as I want to feed Matteo." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, before carrying Noah over to his side of the bed. After all, he does need to be on his side of the bed if he's going to feed him. "That Noah in your arms?" Matt agreed.
"Yeah." Walking up to his side of the bed, Matt smiled as he laid Noah down on his side of the bed. After which, he leaned over his little boy and just smiled as he put his hand on the side of his head. Leaning his forehead against his, Matt smiled as he kissed his cheek softly. "You stay right there, okay Noah? Daddy will be right back so that I can feed you." However, before Matt could make his way over to the crib to grab Matteo, he saw that Camila already grabbed him. "Oh, thanks Camila." Camila smiled when she heard Matt say that. "It's no problem." Walking up to Gabby, Camila smiled as he looked at her handsome grandson. "Here you go Matteo, let's give you to your beautiful mommy so she can feed you." Gabby smiled as she heard her mom say that, before going to grab Matteo from her. After which, she proceeded to undo her shirt a bit so that she can feed her handsome son. "And that's why I wanted to give Matteo to you." Gabby laughed. "Baby, calm down; my mom's here." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling at her; after which, he got in bed with Noah.
Sitting in bed together with their boys shortly after getting comfortable, both Matt and Gabby smiled as they looked at their sons while they each fed one of them. At the same time, they adjusted the covers so that they can make sure that they're ready for their breakfasts. Carrying them over, Camila smiled as she set both of the breakfasts up on the trains in front of Matt and Gabby. "Well, if you both are the happiest parents in the entire world." Looking up at his mother-in-law, Matt smiled as that was definitely the truth. He was very happy to be here with his son in bed; feeding him as they relaxed in bed as a family. There's truly nothing like them holding their sons as they relax in bed with each other. Matt then smiled as he watched as Camila put their drinks down. "Gabby, is it okay that I made Matt a coffee?" Matt just looked up at Camila when she said that. "I swear, I'm not worthy to have you as a mother-in-law." Camila smiled when she heard Matt say that.
"And I'm not worthy of having you as a son-in-law. You've given me a live that I could've only dreamed of, a life that I could've only dreamed of for both my daughter and grandchildren; heck, even Antonio. You truly have changed my family's life and I will forever be grateful for that." Matt smiled as he heard Camila say that, before turning to look at Gabby. "I can say the same about you." Camila was confused when she heard Matt say that. "How's that the case?" Matt then smiled as he reached out for Gabby, grabbing her hand. "Had you not given birth to Gabby, I wouldn't have this life that I have with her; Gabby is the love of my life, and there's nobody I would rather live this life with." Camila smiled when she heard Matt say that, before watching as her daughter smiled. "May I remind you that you have the boys here with you?" Gabby then turned to look at her mother when she said that, it not being something that was appropriate for her to say.
And that was because she just gave birth. "¡Madre! ¡Acabo de dar a luz!" Matt was confused when he heard Gabby say that, still learning his Spanish; so, he didn't exactly understand what his wife just said to her mother. "Uhm, what did you just say?" Gabby laughed. "The automatic response to what she just said. Mother! I just gave birth!" Matt then turned to look at his mother-in-law when Gabby told him what she said, before deciding to just say something funny to diffuse the situation. "What she said." Both Camila and Gabby laughed as they heard the new father (and businessman) say that, as it was exactly what both women wanted to hear right now. "I swear, you are so adorable with each other." Matt agreed with Camila when she said that, smiling. "Yet, there was a time where I was blind to the fact that the love of my life was really in front of me the entire time; instead of being with her from the start, I proposed to the wrong woman and had my heart broken."
Gabby smiled, blushing as she heard Matt say that; after all, it was both the truth and incredibly sweet for him to say such a thing. "You keep saying things like that, and I might break my no sex rule after giving birth." Camila just shook her head when she heard Gabby say that. "Listen, I'm going to leave you guys be to spend some time with Matteo and Noah as you feed them. But first…" Camila then proceeded to make her way over to each of the new parents. Leaning over Matt, Camila smiled as she kissed Noah's forehead. Afterwards, she did the same with Matt's forehead. "Best son-in-law ever." Matt laughed. "Last time I checked, I'm your only son-in-law; unless I missed the message that Antonio's gay?" Both Gabby and Camila laughed as they heard Matt say that, while Camila also walked around their bed to kiss Gabby's forehead.
Smiling at her daughter, she bent down and kissed her forehead; at the same time, she also whispered to her daughter. "You truly have the perfect life sweetheart: the perfect man, and the perfect children. Hold on tight, and make sure to enjoy every minute of it; I speak from experience, and this is a love that you most certainly do you want to let go of. Matt is perfect for you." Gabby smiled as she heard her mom say that, well aware that was the case. "I have to agree with you when you say that mom." Camila smiled as she heard her daughter say that, well aware that was the case. "Matt, I at least want a t-shirt on when you come downstairs to bring the plates down; I'm going to be sitting down in the living room, and I do not want to see you walking around the house in nothing but your boxers." Matt laughed as he heard Camila say that. "I'm serious. If not, you can do your own laundry this week." Gabby agreed with her mom when she said that.
"Don't worry mom, he's on paternity leave right now; he can definitely do his own laundry this week, right baby?" Matt just looked at Gabby when she said that. "Of course, sweetheart." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at the man she loves as they fed their sons this morning. Turning her head, she smiled as she looked down at Matteo. "Yeah, you like being fed by mommy; don't you Matteo?" Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, before turning to look at Camila; and him looking at her was everything she needed to see to get the message that he needed to give her, which was that they wanted to be alone with their sons right now. And that was exactly what they were now that she was gone, alone with Matteo and Noah. "C'mon babe, let's eat before the food gets cold." Gabby agreed with Matt, doing just that as they ate breakfast together this morning; at the same time, they also fed their beautiful sons…which is exactly what they want to do.
