Chapter 169: The Dream: New home...
(Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
The morning is here, alarm doesn't go off but the rays of the sun enter the window and Michelle Lewis slowly wakes up, she stirs and then she opens her eyes. The brunette woman yawns, and she stretches, but then she stops when she sees that she is not alone in her new bed.
Michelle Lewis smiles, and she sees the three children she adopted, asleep to her right and staying close. Leni, Luna and little Lincoln. She recalls, last night they couldn't sleep and so Luna and Leni wanted to join her in her bedroom with their baby brother.
Michelle smiles, and she is proud of being their new mother, then she sees the time. 'It is morning, and still summer. We need to try and make the best of this, but there is...The funeral coming, and Albert informed me the other day in private.'
'I feel bad for the kids, they will have to say goodbye to their sisters, and parents. I wish I could've done more but... This is not gonna be easy for them, and Lincoln will grow up without his big sisters, all he will know of them are from his only remaining sisters.'
"Mommy?" Michelle then sees, Leni is awake. "Is it morning already?" she sits up and rubs her eyes, she then sees Luna wake up. She yawns and then sits up, and she sees her sleeping baby brother and she smiles, but he too stirs and moves in his sleep, and he slowly opens his eyes.
Little baby Lincoln then looks around, confused and unsure about where he is. He then looks to his big sisters, and he reaches for Luna, and so she goes over and she helps her brother sit up, and then she kisses his forehead, the baby still has his pacifier on and then he touches his big sister's hand.
Luna smiles, and then she sees Lincoln look towards Michelle Lewis, and so he slowly crawls over to her, and Michelle boops his nose, making him giggle and laugh. The baby then removes his pacifier, and then he looks to Michelle and she picks up the baby and she kisses his forehead, making him giggle.
Leni and Luna go over, and so Michelle hugs them all. They return the hug, and then she speaks. "Everything is okay. We're all going to be fine, and I promise you three that I will keep you all safe, and that nothing will harm you or take you away, a promise I don't intend to break ever."
Luna and Leni are fearful of that because they don't wanna lose their new mother. Luna looks towards Michelle and then she asks her new mother. "Mommy, when do we go to school?"
They depart from the hug, and Michelle answers. "You two will go to school after summer that is if you girls don't feel like it. I mean, you could go to school perhaps a week after school starts. I will give you girls some time to think about it, it is still summer vacation."
Luna and Leni nod, and so they hug Michelle and Lincoln again, and they return the hug. Lincoln giggles and likes hugging his big sisters, and Michelle knows that these two are still trying to cope with things.
'I hope Leni and Luna can make friends, I know they miss their sisters since they would play with them, but things are changing and they need to make new friends and... Things are going to be a bit hard for them both, and especially for Lincoln. I need to come up with a plan, to help them all and then I will tell them when the funeral is.'
(Timeskip. Later in the day.)
Leni is in the backyard, playing on the swings. While Luna sits under the tree, with her baby brother. They see some butterflies fly by, and the baby giggles seeing these insects and he reaches for them, this makes Luna smile and she hugs her baby brother from behind, which he doesn't mind.
Leni giggles as she continues to play on the swings, and then she waves to Michelle, as she sees them from near the backyard door and then she waves back. Michelle looks around and sees how peaceful everything is. 'This isn't so bad, better than living in a condo and so simple and so peaceful.'
Michelle then sees Mr. Grouse and she waves to him, and so he waves back. "A good day we're having huh, neighbor?"
Michelle chuckles. "Yeah, it is." She sees the kids looking to the old man, and they know him.
Mr. Grouse smiles. "Hey there Louds, good to see you all back and alright again."
Luna and Leni speak. "Hello and good day Mr. Grouse." They then go back to playing.
Michelle then goes near the fence and both Michelle and Mr. Grouse look to the kids playing. Then Mr. Grouse asks, but he whispers. "So, are there going to be any more complications for them as they adapt to this new change?"
Michelle sighs. "Unfortunately, there might be. I should be prepared for them, and I will be. They will be having a very hard time trying to adapt and accept the new changes, and sooner or later they will be informed of when the funeral is coming. Are you coming to that?"
Mr. Grouse nods. "Indeed I am, I have known the Louds ever since they moved here. They are good friends, sure they seemed kinda loud as the name implied and things seemed a little chaotic, but that is the results of having 5 kids and one newborn baby. I wanna say my words for the sisters and the parents. I feel bad for them both, I really do."
Michelle nods. "Yeah, same here. But, I will not let this go down or bring things to a sad stand still. They will need help, and I am here for them."
Mr. Grouse then hears a ring at his door, and he goes to check on it. Michelle then goes to one of the swings, and she swings alongside her daughter. Michelle then asks. "Leni, do you know any of the kids in town who are your friends?"
Leni remembers them. "Yes, I do. I met them when I started school, they're names are Jackie and Mandee... also, I am friends with Lori's friends." This surprises Michelle Lewis. "They're names are Carol, Dana, Becky and Whitney. They are nice big kids."
Michelle smiles, and then they see Luna go over, and she sits on the other swing and then she hands her baby brother to Michelle. Michelle holds onto the baby, as she slowly swings, and Lincoln enjoys this. Luna then speaks. "There are these two kids I know, and they are also my friends. Sam and Mazzy."
Michelle is surprised by this. "Huh, okay. Well, do you girls wanna go and see them sometime and have a small playdate or next time?"
Leni and Luna think about this, and they both know what to do. Leni then speaks. "Mommy, we will see our friends, maybe after the funeral?" This surprises Michelle, and then Luna asks.
"Mommy, when do we say goodbye to our sisters, and parents?"
Michelle didn't see this coming. She then stands up and sits down, and so Luna and Leni go over and sit in front of her. Lincoln smiles and he holds Michelle's hand, and plays with it. Michelle smiles, then she looks to Luna and Leni. "On Sunday, that is the day we say goodbye to them. I'm sorry..."
"Don't be, we're okay mommy." Luna then goes over and hugs Michelle and Lincoln, and Leni joins in. Michelle hugs them and she smiles, she is glad to hear them calm and okay, but she knows that there will be tears and mourning when Sunday comes.
(March 10. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue.)
Michelle wakes up and she sighs. She then looks around and sees where she is, she covers her eyes with her hands and then wipes away some tears. 'God, that dream... I am not gonna like how it goes on, it's gonna get sad real fast soon.'
A/N: Looks like things might be good, but it will be kinda sad and lonesome, but they need to adapt and try to move on. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter guys.
