Chapter 184: Dream, Mourn and Farewell...
(St. Herald Church. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
We see some folks all go to the church, to begin the service to the loss of the family, those who were the louds and then a Red Ferrari shows up, and the folks see it and coming out is Michelle Lewis, and with the three children she adopted. Leni, Luna and little Lincoln.
They are dressed in black, and Leni is carrying her baby brother, and they follow Michelle and head inside. The Press has been kept back, thanks to the police and Michelle meets with Albert. "Hey guys." The elderly man embraces the kids. "Good to see you all here." But they remain silent and don't say anything, but the baby is confused and wants his grandfather to carry him and so he does.
Michelle then greets him. "Hi Albert, glad we came and wow, the louds have so many friends."
Albert nods. "Yup, they have a lot of good friends and other folks whom they have known for some time. Just don't mind, Flip." They see the bushy mustache man outside, with his Flippie Cart. "That cheapskates is just here to sell Flippies, when he clearly has no respect for the loss of some folks."
Michelle Lewis didn't like this, and then she speaks to Officer Schoffner, and she nods and she manages to get Flip to leave. Michelle then sees the folks whom the louds have befriended.
Kotaro, Mr. Grouse, Dr. Finestein and his assistant, some families with their kids, such as Carol, Dana, Becky, Jackie, Mandee and Whitney. The Santiago's, the McBride men and Lynnard's friends from the I.T building he worked in.
Then the McBride men go towards her, with their baby Clyde in his stroller. "Hello, Ms. Lewis. We are sorry about what had happened" replied Howard. "And we are happy that you saved the kids and gave them a new home. We can see a true respectful and brave woman to be a mother."
"If you ever need help, then you can call us" replied Howard, and he offers her their contact number.
Michelle Lewis nods. "Thanks, much appreciated." They then go inside and take their seats, and the priest father Chisel starts the service with some prayers, to which everyone else joins in. There is someone there, taking photos and she is from the Royal Woods Gazette and is trusted.
"We have come to know the louds as one, big and happy family, one of which is a dream from Lynnard Loud, a dream to which he wanted to have and see things through and see where else the future holds, and things went alright and smooth, and with the good lord watching over and making sure everything was fine, but I guess not all things can be fine when unexpected can happen, of which is out of our hands. They were brave, and tried their best, and they might not be with us, but they are still watching over us from above with the lord himself..."
Hearing this, hurts Luna, and Leni. Lincoln is confused, and he waves his arms around and he babbles a little as he sits on the lap of Michelle, and deep down Michelle feels saddened from this.
Pretty soon, it was time for the other folks to speak their words. Mr. Grouse, and how he appreciated the lively neighbor company from the louds, Kotaro who always wanted to start a band and see how Lynnard and Rita's life could've gone, to Albert and how he will miss his daughter, son in law and granddaughters.
Then, Michelle was next to speak, since Leni and Luna are too nervous and scared to say anything. Albert watches over the kids. Michelle gets to the steps and she speaks. "I didn't know much about the louds, or even got to know them, but I am glad to have been the one to find them and give them another chance to live and another reason to carry on."
"I wish they were here, to be with their family and continue with their own lives with whatever choices they have in their wild imagination heads." everyone knows that, the louds can be quite creative. "But, things happen and now we can't make things as they were before. I know they aren't here, but they will be watching over those who survived and I promise..."
Michelle looks to the coffins, containing Lynnard, Rita, Lori, Luan and Lynn. Seeing the smaller coffins, hurts her the most. "I promise, to be a good, caring mother and to watch over Luna, Leni and Lincoln. Till the day I day, a promise I will never ever break."
Everyone is touched hearing this, and then they clap. Michelle heads back to the others, but he kneels down and she sees Luna and Leni race towards her, and she embraces them and calms them down as they sob in her embrace.
Everyone sees this as touching and heart breaking, and they can see that Michelle Lewis is going to be a great mom to these three remaining louds, who have now become Lewis'. The Photographer/journalist sees this and smiles, touched to see this moment.
(Later.)
The time has come, to bury those who have fallen. But first, the folks allow Michelle, Albert, Leni, Luna and Lincoln to look onto the others once more, for the very last time.
Albert has already said his goodbyes, and he was in tears after he went back to his seat, to which his buddies from the navy are comforting him. Michelle goes next, and she has the kids with her and she is carrying Lincoln.
They go to the parents, and they see the lifeless slumbering forms of Lynnard and Rita. This makes Luna and Leni sad, and they wipe away their tears seeing their parents, dressed nice and not moving. The baby is confused, and he looks to Michelle and then to Rita and Lynnard, and he points to them.
Michelle is sad to see this. "I know sweetie, I know." The infant then looks kinda sad, and he hugs Michelle, and she rubs his back to calm him down.
The next ones, is hard to deal with because both Leni and Luna are surprised, to see their sisters asleep, dressed nicely and not moving, but what scared them the most, was the coffins they were in, coffins fit for them and one small for Lynn, and this makes them have tears.
Leni is more hurt, Lori is her best friend, her first ever friend and now she has to say goodbye to her. "Lori, I am sorry. I wish... I wish you were here, we will m-miss you and... I p-promise to be a g-good big sister... I p-promise, L-Lori!" Leni then sobs, and Luna goes over and hugs her.
Michelle Lewis kneels down, and she hugs them both and with Lincoln also joining in the hug, and everyone else feels sad for them to see this, they know how close the loud siblings are with each other, and they are all so sad to know that these three girls won't be able to grow up with their siblings.
Pretty soon, Michelle and her kids stand back and watch as they bury the coffins. They watch as they are sealed six feet into the dirt, never to be seen again. Luna wipes away some tears, and she holds the hand of Leni, and she tries to find comfort in hugging her little sister.
Michelle sighs, and she can still feel the infant hugging her, but she looks to the parents being buried. 'I promise, I will keep these three safe, and help them grow up and whatever future they seek. I promise to love them, and to be a dang good mother. I promise.'
Pretty soon, the tombstones are brought in, and so Michelle looks to the kids. "Come on girls, let's go home." Luna and Leni nod, and so they follow Michelle. They wave to Albert and he waves back, and the other folks watch as Michelle leaves with the children, they know that the kids will be crying at home, and they need some time away from others, Michelle will be the one to comfort them through this.
The friends from Lori and Leni wanna go over and comfort them, but they should let them be, because they lost so much and need each other. But they do wave to the baby who sees them all, and he smiles and waves back.
Michelle opens the car, and she lets Lincoln sit on his chair, and buckles him up, but Leni helps with this and so does Luna. Michelle is happy to see the two girls being big sisters, and then she closes the door and she is about to go into the driver's seat, but then a lady at the same age as her heads over, and she sighs. "What the heck do you want, press?"
The brunette lady with rectangular glasses then speaks. "Mis. Lewis, I don't mean to be rude. I am from the Royal Woods Gazette and I am covering the story of what happened with the louds, and it is sad and tragic indeed. Heck, I feel bad for what happened and it feels like they should have their siblings with them, but we can't always make things right and predict what happens next."
Michelle sighs and she nods. "Yeah, I know that feeling. So, I could only guess that you wanna interview me or something?"
The lady shakes her head. "No, I just wanted to speak my condolences on the loss, and I hope you and these kids will be alright. But, if you do need some help from getting away from the press who will be all over you, then don't hesitate to call me." she hands her the number.
Michelle asks. "What? Why?"
The lady then speaks. "Because I hate other press and journalists who only want the scoop and swarm others with no remorse and no heart of an understanding. I can help, and warn you when anyone from the media is inbound, you can trust me. See you around, Ms. Lewis."
Michelle watches the lady head off to her own car, and she even honks her horn to scare off some news reporters, and Michelle feels like she can trust this woman, and then she sees the number and the name. 'Huh, Amanda Bright?'
Michelle then keeps the number, and she goes into her car, and they drive off, back home to their new life and whatever else is in store for the former Louds, now Lewis'. They have mourned, and said farewell, but the long road to a new future has just begun for the three children.
(Wake up.)
Michelle bolts up from bed, and she looks around. She sees she is in her room, and it is night time. She sighs and then she checks the time and then she looks out the window and sees the moon is out. She then looks to her phone and it is off.
'Dang, that dream... I feel so sorry for them, and I just... I hope they are gonna be alright, but as long as that Michelle Lewis keeps things together, then every little thing is gonna be alright.'
A/N: The time to mourn is over, and they have said their goodbyes and now those from this parallel place will have to move on and try to look to the bright side of things. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter guys.
