Chapter 194: Crest and the parents...
(April 4. Royal Woods Men's and Women's Penitentiary. Somewhere outside of town.)
Inside, we see Rita and Lynnard are finished with parenting classes, but as they are headed back to their cells, they are met by one of the guards. "Hey you two, someone is here to see you and we don't even know who she is."
This surprises and confuses Lynnard and Rita. 'Wait, what?'
So, they both head for the visitors area, and they go to meet whoever this lady is. Lynnard does see his wife is silent, she has been like this throughout their parenting classes, but she does still participate. Lynnard knows that she is like this, after the whole plan reveal made by Michelle Lewis which involves Lincoln and Luna, and deep down he too doesn't like this whole thing.
Rita then speaks. "I still don't get Michelle Lewis, she thinks she is a batter mother than me, then she has another thing coming and she is not taking my kids away from us. I will prove that I am an even better mother than her."
Lynnard sees how tense she is, and also ticked off. "Or perhaps it is for the best, I mean we have made a lot of mistakes, and most of it seems to be on Luna and Lincoln. Michelle has pretty much proven herself, a lot of times from what we heard from the kids."
Hearing this shocks Rita, and she looks to her husband with disbelief. "We have made mistakes, Lynn but that woman has no rights to take away Lincoln and Luna from us, because they are our kids and we are their parents, and when we are done with this stupid parenting classes, then Michelle Lewis can leave and never ever come back!" She then continues to walk.
This concerns Lynnard, he didn't wanna see his wife do anything that might be too far.
They soon arrive to the visitor's area, and they see who is waiting for them, but it is not their kids. They then see the lady and she removes her sunglasses. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Loud."
Rita and Lynnard are confused. "Who are you?"
Katie Crest is surprised to hear this. "Katie Crest."
This makes them realize, and Lynnard speaks. "Wait, we heard about you but never got the description on you, Luna and the others told us about you. But, why the heck are you here?"
Katie then explains. "Sit down, we need to talk." Rita and Lynnard to so, and they let her continue. "I am sure that you both are aware of what I have been doing, which involves getting your daughter, the musically talented Luna Loud to be part of the summer country rock tour, but she has only made the agreements to be there for one week, and not perform alongside Mick Swagger, which doesn't seem to fit the bill for me."
"She made her own set of rules and a contract with multiple copies, which I had to sign otherwise she wouldn't be part of it. Now, it seems that I cannot have her do as I say since I am the manager of the whole event. She also has her brother come along, and Michelle Lewis as well, when clearly she doesn't know what she is doing with this, and she might get things into deep trouble."
"Luna is very, very talented and her role to be in rock n' roll could be one heck of a smash hit and make her just as famous and loved as Mick Swagger, I couldn't be able to reason with her, but perhaps you two could provide some support and help reason with Luna Loud to be the kinda gal she was meant to be, on the right track and the right mind. What do you say?"
This shocks the loud parents, but then Lynnard speaks. "Ms. Crest, we are aware of the many mistakes we have made towards our kids, but mostly onto Luna and Lincoln, mostly Luna since we have been trying to push her into rock n' roll, but that is something we do not intend to do so again."
Rita then speaks. "Luna is smart, and she knows what she is doing, it is her choice alone and we accept it, and she knows that..." she sighs. "Michelle Lewis is a good musical manager, and a former performer as well. We are not dragging Luna down the road we have been trying, and it could lead to more trouble for everyone."
But Katie Crest sensed some tension in the voice of Rita when she was trying to say the name of Michelle Lewis, and it sounded like something she could use. "Rita, you are the mother of Luna Loud and as the mother, you know what is truly best, and that Michelle Lewis... Well, she doesn't know what she is doing to Luna Loud, since she is not her true birth mother."
"You can make amends and make things right, and then Luna will change and see the truth of all things, which will make sure trust and forgiveness will reward you both with a whole lot more. You know your children well, but Michelle Lewis doesn't, and in the end of this, it could be with you both seeing Luna as she should be, as you both wanted her to be."
Rita thinks about this, that she knows her kids better than Michelle Lewis, and that she is the mother meant to be for her kids and not Michelle Lewis, but Lynnard didn't like this and he feels very uncomfortable at what Katie Crest was talking about to Rita, and it almost sounded like she is taunting his wife into doing what she wants.
Katie then asks Rita. "You think you can get Luna to agree to the terms?"
Rita then looks to Katie and she answers. "When she does come around to visit, then I will speak to her."
This makes Katie Crest smile. "Good, good. Now, I would love to talk more, but I need to get going." she then stands up. "It was good to see you both, the true parents of Luna Loud." she then takes her leave.
Rita gets up and she heads back to her cell, but Lynnard didn't like where this is going.
Lynnard. 'I don't like this, this isn't right. This doesn't seem right, I don't even know what is gonna happen when they come to visit us again.'
Rita. 'Once they come to visit, then I will prove myself that I am the true mother to my kids, to Lincoln and Luna!'
(Meanwhile, outside.)
Katie Crest goes into her car and she grins. 'This plan is turning out great for a start, and now all I need to do is wait, and when the time is right, then Luna Loud will fall in line to my demands and words, and then I can be rid of Michelle Lewis and that white haired brat once and for all, and away from my tour, and if the parents are also to be rid of with those sisters, then fine by me. I know just the guy to help with that too!'
She then drives off, to set her plan into motion and see what happens next,
