Chapter 195: Sick Linc...
(April 5. The Loud House, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Everything seems peaceful in the loud house, no trouble, no chaos and no tomfoolery of any sorts, but then they hear this.
"ACHOO!"
This is a startling loud sound, and coming from someone sick. Everyone else is waiting outside in the vehicles with concern, but Luna is upstairs and tending to her little brother Lincoln, who has a fever. It was a cold last night, but that common cold turned into something that they didn't except to happen.
The other day, after school he had a run in with Bray Sheer the kid who was accused by Lynn during "Heavy Meddle" The kid pulled a prank on Lincoln, dumping a bucket of cold water from the nearby storm drain outside the school, making him wet all over. Bray Sheer has been sentenced to three weeks of detention.
Lincoln sighs and didn't like this, then Michelle comes inside. "Called Huggins about the issue, and that means you are not going to school today, kiddo. Not with a fever lingering all around you, Lincoln."
Luna then speaks. "I called Jordan and she said she will drop off your school work when she comes here after the school day is done."
Michelle then speaks. "Also, Lori is dropping off the others. Lunes here is also going to school, but I will be here to tend to you. But I will be here to keep an eye on you and see to it that you are going to be alright kiddo."
Luna then touches her brother's forehead, and it is heating up. "Linc, I wanna be here and help, but mom is right and I gotta go to school. Sorry little brother."
Lincoln coughs. "No, it's okay sis. I really hate this, but we can't always expect when a sickness comes in. See you after school, Luna." Luna nods, she kisses her brother on the cheek, and then she heads off to Vanzilla.
Michelle then places the chicken noodle soup on the table. "This should help, you need to eat something good and healthy to help fight this, kiddo." She even has a glass of orange juice. "You look like a sick puppy, but I will help make you feel better again."
Lincoln sighs and he accepts the meal and the drink. "I really wish I had never met that kid who did this to me, I mean I never even had any beef with him until that day Ronnie Anne stuck gum in my hair and that triggered the others to think that she liked me, but Lunes helped stop the meddling, but it was already too late and that kid was dragged into this, and all thanks to dang Lynn Loud Jr."
This does concern Michelle Lewis, and she needs to have a stern talk with the girls when it involves meddling with their brother's personal life. 'I should sort this out when they get back home, and also I need to have a stern word with the parents of that little grudge kid and what he did.'
Michelle then watches as Lincoln eats his chicken noodle soup, and she rubs his back and also has the medicine ready for him, pretty soon he finishes the chicken noodle soup and drinks the orange juice. "Alright, time for you to get some rest, Linc." she hands him the tablet which will help deal with his sickness, and he consumes it.
Linc sighs. "I don't wanna, but I have to. Thanks for being here, mom." Lincoln lays down and he coughs, and then Michelle rubs his head, and she makes sure that the room is not too cold for him and not too warm. She then sees, that Lincoln is fast asleep and so she takes her leave.
Michelle has some work to do, but she placed a small radio on the table to listen to Lincoln if he needs anything.
(Later in the day.)
The louds are back home, and they are told not to bother with Lincoln since he is asleep, and even Jordan is with them to see Lincoln, with his homework on science. Jordan heads upstairs with Luna, and they see Lincoln is asleep again.
Michelle then leaves the room with the tray that has the empty bowl and glass. "He went to sleep two minutes ago, leave him be girls. He needs to get himself feeling better again." Luna and Jordan nod, and they remain outside the room while Michelle heads back to the kitchen to put the empty tray away.
"Dang it, I am so sorry for what happened to Lincoln."
Luna then speaks. "It's not your fault, Jordan. That kid Bray Sheer did this..."
"Tomorrow is Thursday" replied Jordan with anger. "He is not gonna survive when I am done with him, through some heavy duty dodgeball demolition." Luna is surprised to hear this, and she knows that tomorrow at the Royal Woods Elementary School Gym, it'll be no man's land.
They don't know, that the other louds can hear this and they are hoping that their brother does get better soon, but then Michelle sees them. "Girls, I need to have a chat with you when it involves meddling into your brother life." They see that she is stern and serious.
They all follow Michelle Lewis, and she speaks to them about the kid who did this and why he did it, and this is gonna get them to realize, that all of this started when they thought Ronnie Anne had a crush on Lincoln, when clearly it was just bullying.
(Later in the day, again.)
Jordan closes the bedroom door of Lincoln, and she helped make chicken noodle soup and right now Luna is tending to him. "Hey Jordan." She sees Lori. "Can we speak, in private please?"
Jordan is unsure about this, but she agrees. "Let me take that for you." Leni goes over and she brings the empty tray away, because she knows what is about to go down here.
Jordan then goes into the bedroom of Lori and Leni, and she crosses her arms and looks to Lori sternly, and this makes her uncomfortable. "Well, what do you want from me Lori Marie Loud?"
Lori sighs and then she explains. "Jordan, I recall that you don't forgive me anymore after learning so much more about the many other mistakes that I was a part of to making our brother into a world of trouble and also hurt. I mean, I just... I don't even know what I need to do to get you to trust and forgive me again, even after what went down last year."
Jordan sighs and then she speaks. "No, I'm sorry. Listen, I shouldn't have snapped at you or hurt you as well, I was just so miffed at what I have to hear of what went down back then before all of this went down. I should've just realized, that it was all in the past, and that someone like you is trying to change for the better and make up for all that you have done."
"I still forgive and trust you, but knowing more about what you and the others did to Lincoln back then, will always be something for me to deal with and get angry about, because nobody messes with my boyfriend. He has been through a lot and he doesn't deserve to be in a lot of crazy stuff which you girls tend to cause trouble. He does his part to help, but at what cost?"
"So, I am sorry for what I did last time, and I shouldn't have let my anger against what went down back then get the best of me, but you know me and how I feel about stupid and messed up stuff that others have done, and one of which is what Ronnie Anne did to cause that kid Bray Sheer to do this to Lincoln Loud."
Lori nods, and she remembers that earlier, they had a clear and stern discussion from Michelle Lewis about that issue, and that they shouldn't meddle with Lincoln and his life, ever again. Lori then feels Jordan hugging her, and so she hugs her back. She is glad to be on good terms with Jordan, again. But she has to be careful, if Jordan hears more about something the louds did in the past, she will get ticked off again.
A/N: Linc will be a while before he is alright, and I added that last bit to explain and calm things down between Jordan and Lori. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this, and thanks again for the concept to this chapter "Marvelomac1010."
