Hi Readers: Now, before we start with this chapter…I want to address something I wrote in the last chapter. I believe that the amount of money I wrote keep changing, and I know that it's not realistic (especially the lottery thing). But there's a reason why I did it, and it's so that I don't have to worry about doing too much work; or them running out of money if they have a bunch of fun for a while. However, that doesn't mean that I don't plan on getting back to work soon. But for now, I am going to go ahead with this chapter.

Chapter Sixty-Two
Beach Day, Part Three

They were currently taking a walk down the edge of the beach with each other, the couple having decided to wait a bit before they get into the ocean since they wanted to make sure that their third child was tired; their third child being Max (of course). Throwing the ball into the pacific ocean for him to run into, Jay smiled as he made sure that he and Alex stayed close to one another so that the waves didn't separate them; after all, Jay did want to have his babies with him as much as possible. And that was exactly what he was in the midst of doing right now. He was holding his babies close to him as they both just relaxed. And the truth was, it felt perfect; this, what they were doing right now, it truly was Jay's dream come true. He has the woman he loves by his side, and he also has a family. Well, he will at least, in a couple months. And that was one of the main reasons that he has one of his big, goofy smiles on his face at the moment; other than the fact that he was just watching his beautiful wife have fun as she started to go into the ocean.

The future mother wanting to start swimming for a bit now, as that was the real reason that they were at the beach after all; they were here to swim and have fun. They were here to have fun, and take a swim; both with each other, and with their friends. So, that was what the Ms. to Jay's Mr. Halstead decided to do; she decided to let go of her (loving) husband's hand and start to make her way into the ocean. However, that didn't mean that her husband was the happiest about it. "HEY! Where are you going Ms. Halstead?" Turning around to look at Jay, Alex laughed due to the fact that she knew that he wasn't happy right now. But she really didn't care, because she wanted to be in the ocean right now; and if he wanted to hold her close, then all he needs to do is join her in the ocean. Not like it's that hard to do. "If you want to hold me, come into the water bae." Jay smiled when he heard Alex call him 'bae', it being an adorable nickname that his wife has been using for him ever since she first heard Matt call Gabby 'his girl'; and Jay loves the name.

Plus, there's another reason why Alex uses 'bae' instead of 'babe' or 'baby', and that's due to the fact that it rhymes with his name, if that wasn't obvious. It was really adorable too, and that was why Jay always responded to it; along with the fact that he's scared of Alex if he doesn't follow her commands. While he hopes that Alex would never do it, he would never put it past her to complain to her father, which would then lead to him being required to have a serious talk with his father-in-law about just WHY he made his daughter mad at him, which is always a conversation which Jay Halstead prefers to avoid. And right now, that was exactly what he was doing by making his way into the ocean (just like Alex asked him to). Just walking up to his beautiful (pregnant) wife, Jay smiled as he made his way right over her to; wrapping his arm around her (while still holding the ball thrower), Jay smiled as he looked down into Alex's eyes as they just held each other close for a moment before he bent down and kissed her softly. And God, did Alex love him kissing her.

Just taking things nice and slow with her husband, Alex smiled due to the fact that this was the life that she wants to live with him; she wants to just be able to have fun with him, and live this incredible life that they have, here with their friends and family in California. However, it wasn't long before the couple were disturbed by someone splashing them. Thinking that it was Max, Jay and Alex turned their heads to look down; but they actually saw that Max was still swimming back to them. So, they didn't exactly know who just splashed them with water; that was, until they felt it happen again. Turning their heads, Jay and Alex felt another splash coming from one Antonio Dawson and Will Halstead. "Break it up you two!" Jay just shook his head as he let Alex go, turning to look at his co-worker and brother as they said that. "Why are you telling me to break it up, when your sister is out there having sex with her husband?" Alex just looked at Jay when he said that, before slapping his chest. "And how would you know…"

Turning his head, Jay pointed in direction of Matt and Gabby. Turning her head to look at them, Alex saw that Gabby was braless; and she guessed the same thing as Jay, that they were in the midst of having sex with each other. "Oh lord." Antonio then turned his head, not wanting to look at that. "Yeah, thanks for pointing that out to me man." Jay agreed with Antonio when he said that, smirking. "Don't worry, I won't tell them that you were watching them have sex for a bit." Antonio just looked at Jay when he said that, before going ahead with splashing him (again). "You do that, I tell Matt to cut your stipend for the week." Alex turned around to look at Antonio when he said that, not happy that he would say that. "Yeah, because you're going to do that to the man whose wife is pregnant?" Antonio gulped when he heard Alex say that, well aware that was the case. "Sorry Alex." Alex agreed with Antonio when he said that. "Yeah, I would just shut up before you get your brother-in-law in trouble." Antonio agreed with Alex, taking a breath.

After which, Jay put his hand on Alex's back and got close to her; after which, he kissed the side of her head and just smiled due to the fact that he was really happy. He then smiled as he turned to look at his brother. "Now, about you; did you seriously splash us?" Will laughed when he heard Jay say that. "I mean it, you need to calm down and just relax." Jay looked at Will when he said that. "Seriously? You're telling me and Alex that, but not Matt and Gabby?" Natalie sighed when she heard Jay say that, as she is much more understanding when it comes to Matt and Gabby. "The truth is, I think that we need to give them leeway; and that's due to the fact that they've been through a lot recently. I mean, just think about it guys, they felt that their sons were at risk if they stayed in Honolulu; they literally had to move all the way to California, just for the two of them to feel safe." Antonio turned to look at Natalie when she said that, because that most definitely was the truth. "I think you hit the nail on the coffin there Natalie, as that's exactly how my sister and Matt are feeling; especially Matt, since he's always wanted to be a father. And he really does feel like he's mostly to blame for this, because he's the one that has this past; a past that also led to him putting his family life at risk." Natalie sighed.

"I still can't believe that they even had to do that. It was so hard on them, and I could just tell based on their body language that they really did need to take this time away with us; I mean, not that they had to bring us along." Antonio agreed with Natalie when she said that, before smiling at her. "They felt an obligation to bring you guys, as they didn't want to leave you guys facing all of that on a daily basis." Antonio then turned to look at Jay, smiling at him. "Still, I have been meaning to talk to you Jay. I know that Matt and Gabby already said this to you, but I really appreciate what you said to the media outside the office; it truly was what you needed to say." Jay agreed with Antonio when he said that. "It was no problem Antonio, and it was just the truth. It was exactly what needed to be said, and I am so glad that people took it positively." Antonio smiled when he heard Jay say that. "You're still trying to suck up to your boss." Jay laughed when he heard Antonio say that, well aware that was the case. "I mean, I am going to need to be on your good side."

Jay said, before turning to look at Alex. "Especially when my beautiful wife gives birth to our children." Alex agreed with Jay when he said that, before getting close to Jay and kissing him softly; after which, Natalie spoke up and asked Alex a question. "Do you guys know the genders of the babies yet?" Alex shook her head. "Not yet. I wish we did because I most definitely do want to start shopping." Jay smiled as he looked at Alex when she said that, well aware that was the case. "I already upped my Credit Card limit so that you can start shopping." Alex smiled when she heard Jay say that. "Well, I am so glad that's the case." Jay then proceeded to get close to Alex again, wrapping his arm around her as they both held each other close. And let's just say that they are all really happy to even see them smiling this way, especially Will; after all, this is everything that he's wanted for his brother since the end of his first marriage to Abby (McSweeny). Moving her hand to Jay's back, Alex smiled as she rubbed it and just held him close.

After which, she heard Kelly walk over to her. "Are we all just spending time together…and then Matt and Gabby doing their own thing?" Jay smiled when he heard Kelly ask him that, before looking at Antonio. "Antonio was just explaining that to us, and how Matt and Gabby need to relax with each other. They have been under a lot of stress recently." Kelly agreed with Jay when he said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh god, that most certainly is the case. I know that them being here has really made such a big different on them." That's when everybody turned to look at Matt and Gabby as they held each other close in the ocean. However, it that was soon going to have to end because of something that was currently vibrating in his phone. More specifically, he was getting a call from a special contact of his; that being Commissioner Carl Grissom from the Chicago Fire Department to finish the negotiations. "Shit, Matt is going to hate me for this." Stella turned her head when he said that, before watching as he husband walked away.

Rushing over to Matt, Kelly took at breath. "MATT!"

Shortly after rushing further into the ocean with his phone, Kelly took a breath due to the fact that he couldn't miss this call. "Matt!" Turning away from Gabby after hearing Kelly, Matt took a breath. "What's up Kelly?" Kelly took a breath. "Listen, I think that you need to take this call with me. I think it's for something that we need to negotiate with him." Matt then took a breath as he looked at Kelly when he said that, clearly able to see that may be the case. "Sorry Gabby." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, before smiling as she kissed his cheek. "Good luck." Matt agreed with Gabby as she walked away, before smiling. After which, he composed himself before watching as Kelly answered the call. "Hey Grissom, sorry for taking a minute. Just had to get the boss on the phone too." Grissom agreed with Kelly when he said that, well aware that was the case. "Of course. So, I'm talking to both you and Mr. Casey." Matt then went to clarify. "Hey Commission, it's former Captain Casey here with you." Grissom then realized that. "I knew I recognized Casey from somewhere. My apologies." Matt agreed with the commissioner when he said that. "It's okay Commissioner."

The CEO then took a breath. "What can I help you with?" The commissioner sighed when he heard Matt ask him that. "Well listen, I am not sure if you guys are still in communication with your friends at Firehouse 51; but their trucks have been really going down hill recently. I know you said that you were just doing ambulances for now, and that you were going to do trucks and squads later. But I am not sure if you're open to it but…we can maybe continue using them for a year in a half, but then we need new ones. I know it's last minute, but I already spoke to our former supplier; and they have a 5-year timeline. I know you guys got a private production line in Michigan, or wherever…" Matt then clarified. "Michigan or Wisconsin, we can choose." Grissom agreed. "Well, I am hoping that you can maybe pull some strings and help us out. I need some new trucks now. I'll take the prototypes." Matt then thought of something. "Okay, but this also means you need to commit to buying a real non-prototype when they are done. And not just one set, two houses."

Grissom thought about it. "I think that I can deal with that. I'll try and work it out on my end. I know that we don't have a way to do this, but can we place get this set up?" Matt agreed with him when he said that. "Of course, we can. I'll let you know the cost when I get a chance. I'm not at the office at the moment, I'm at the beach actually." Grissom agreed. "Sounds good. By the way, I am so sorry for that press that comes with you. I promise we'll get you some good press when you come to deliver." Matt agreed with Grissom when he said that, smiling as he was glad that was the case. "Thank you Commissioner." Grissom agreed, before going to hang up; at the same time, Kelly hung up and just turned to look at Matt. "Did that just happen?" Matt then smiled as he proceeded to hug Kelly, because it most certainly did just happen. "Crap, that's a lot of money man!" Matt agreed with Kelly when he said that, before smiling as he just hugged him again. "God, I am so glad that we hired you." Kelly laughed, glad that was the case.

They then both smiled as they decided to make their way over to the beach so that they could tell the news to the rest of the group, and so that Matt could make a phone call to someone else.

He was currently on the phone with one of his attorneys that he needs to make sure gets something done for him ASAP, as this was a big deal; in fact, it's one of the biggest deals that he's ever gotten so far. And he's not ready to let it slide, and he wants to get it locked down. It means more money, and just more funds to expand the business. And boy was he happy. "Hi Linda." Linda agreed with the CEO when he spoke to her, glad to be hearing from him. "Oh boy am I glad to be hearing from you Mr. Casey, I haven't heard from you in a while, and I am so glad that we have a quick chance to chat." Matt sighed. "You can send me an e-mail if you have anything on your end. I just need to get you to do stuff for me, which is very important as I just got a new deal." Linda agreed with her boss when he said that. "Of course Mr. Casey, is this a contract that I need to draw up?" Matt agreed with his attorney when she asked him that, smiling as he got ready to tell her what the contract was for; after all, he is quite excited over the new deal that they just got.

"I need you to write up a new Contract between us and the Chicago Fire Department, other than the one for the Ambulance. They have just contacted us and have requested a purchase of some of our vehicles. They are going to be buying a fire truck, a fire engine and a squad vehicle; they are going to be getting the prototypes, followed by real ones afterwards. I am not sure how we can formulate that into a contract, but…." The attorney then proceeded to interrupt her boss, wanting to give him reassurance that they can do it. "Mr. Casey, you leave the legal language up to me. I can definitely do that, and I will make sure to send you a contract that you can send to your contacts at the fire department. You can read over it, and we can go over it before you send it to them if you'd like." Matt agreed with his attorney when she said that, glad that she was already so understanding that he doesn't exactly know what he needs. "Of course, that sounds perfect. I am so glad that you already understand what I am trying to say." Linda agreed with him.

"Sir, you do pay me the big bucks to make sure that we have all of your contracts, as well as your legal matters in order; by the way, I want to extend my apologies for all that's going on with you. I hope that it's not causing you too much stress." Matt sighed as he heard Linda ask him that. "I will send you some information about that in an e-mail okay? I'm at the beach right now. If you have questions, please send them in an e-mail and we'll see what I can tell you." Linda agreed with her boss when he said that, before speaking to him. "Of course Mr. Casey, I can only assume that you're in public at the moment?" Matt agreed with his attorney (again) before laughing. "We're actually at Malibu Beach at the moment." Linda agreed with her boss. "Well, have fun; and I promise that we're still working hard here, but we're doing it from home a bit since you aren't in the office." Matt agreed with Linda when she said that. "That's fine Linda, just make sure that you get your work done." Linda agreed with her boss. "Of course. I'll send them soon Mr. Casey."

Matt agreed with her. "Thanks again, talk soon." Hanging up his phone, Matt took a breath and smiled as he was glad that he just got that taken care of. However, that didn't mean that he was done explaining everything, as he soon felt Gabby sit down on the beach chair behind him; wrapping her arms around his shoulders, Gabby kissed his back before smiling. "So, is there something that you need to tell me?" Matt smiled as he turned his head. "I just got my first order for some of our vehicles, so you're going to need to make sure that the ambo designs are done soon." Gabby laughed. "Oh, they are already pretty much already almost done. Wait, who put an order in?" Matt smiled as he decided to tell everybody. "Okay, everybody; gather around as we have something to celebrate." Everybody then came to get close to their boss, ready to hear the news that Matt has to give them. "I just wanted to say this, I have just gotten off the phone with one of our newest clients." Everybody agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at him.

"I am proud to say that we have just been selected as the new designers of Truck 81, Engine 51, and Squad 3 of the Chicago Fire Department; along with our pre-existing contract for a new Ambulance 61, 87, and 91." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, extremely proud of her husband. "Wait, how much is this…" Matt then smirked. "The total for the contract is now $15 million." Gabby was shocked when she heard Matt say that, before smiling as she got close to her husband. "I think that this news calls for a celebration." Matt smirked as he heard Gabby say that, as that most definitely is the truth. Turning to look at everybody, Matt smiled as he got ready to take this back home so that they can celebrate this new contract.

What do you guys think of the new contract that I just gave to Casey? Do you guys think that it's a good fit? How do you guys think the Caseys (and friends) will celebrate this contract? Maybe by creating another baby Casey? Well, you can only find out if you continue to read on and give me some feed back on this story. I truly hope that you guys are really enjoying it, as it's been my pleasure to write this story for you; and it's only because of the love that I feel you guys give me, that I feel like I can write this story for you guys. Thanks again for reading, and let's get on with the shower. Time to go home, and celebrate; just have some more fun. I can't wait to write this for you, as I am more than ready to give you guys all of this sand more. Now, there are a couple things I do want to say before we continue. And this will be mentioned again at the start of the next chapter, but I am still going to say it right now nonetheless.

I want to just thank you guys for how well you guys have received this story, and I am more than happy over the fact that it (seems) that you guys are enjoying the story; but still, I would love it if I could get some more feedback from you guys about what you guys really think of the story, and whether I should change some things up. Heck, I would even love some ideas that I can try and put a twist on so that I can make it my own. As much as I am the author of this story, I am also a fan of ideas that I would love to try and include in my story. So, if you have any ideas; send them to me and I may just include them in my story (who knows, right?). But for now, I am going to post this chapter; and then I am going to get on with writing the next chapter. Thanks again for reading my story.
