Ballad of the Rat Man

Attila was busy placing the pictures he had drawn from the other night in a folder. He gazed upon the one that he had made. It held the same place in his heart as his memories of his first meeting with Klunk. It was the five of them surrounded by many plants and colors. He was really proud of how it came out. "I should frame this." he told himself as he placed the Folder up carefully where it wouldn't get damaged or lost.

He then noticed Klunk was gone he looked around a bit, he saw her on one of Sheldon's chargers sleeping on top of him. It was actually quite adorable. With a Coo Attila immediately grabbed a pad and got a sketch down just in time for Shelldon to wake up and freak out.

"AAHHH GET OFF ME!" Shelldon shouted making Klunk jump into Attila's arms as he cowered a bit. "You're gonna get hair in my vents and rotors! I'm telling Donnie you broke rule thirteen!" He jeered angrily running off.

"Mean," Klunk muttered.

"Klunk, you know we have to follow the rules." Attila gently reminded. "They're letting us stay here."

"I know…" Klunk sadly muttered.

"Hey Attila, Klunk there you are!" Leo said pulling the former along. It was more, gentle than how Draxum would usually do it. But Leo was still excited enough where Attila had to jog to keep up.

"What's up?" Attila asked just noticing the box of fruit loops. They had positioned themselves just outside the living room.

"Watch this!" Leo said grabbing a yellow one and placing it on his thumb as he lowered it a bit in his fist he then flicked the fruit loop which flew into Splinter's open mouth he then chewed and swallowed it in his sleep.

"WOW!" Klunk said in awe.

"That's amazing, me next, me next!" Attila said excitedly as Leo passed him the box.

"Go for it Hermano!" Leo encouraged as Attila pulled out a pink one and tried to mimic Leo it landed on his face. Attila sunk down a little. "Don't worry we've got plenty." Leo said as Raph and Donnie showed up while Attila took another.

"Ohh, are we launching fruit loops for pops to eat in his sleep again?" Raph asked as Attila managed to do it the second time.

"Whoo!" Attila cheered. "Do it Raph!"

"Yes Do it!" Donnie said with a slight hiss in his voice as Raph pulled out a blue Fruit Loop it looked incredibly small in his hand.

He could hear the roar of the Yokai in the crowd as he faced off against a large two headed monster in a suit with wings. It snarled at him The Red head lunged but he jumped out of the way as the crowd gasped. The two heads looked around trying to find their target. He immediately appeared behind them with a chuckle grabbing both of their necks.

"RAAAHH!" he roared with every ounce of strength he pulled them apart. They groaned for a minute before realizing they had been split in two. They flailed in shock frantically running around until they ran into each other knocking themselves out.

The crowd roared in applause. "Jitsu, Jitsu, Jitsu, Jitsu!" they cheered repeatedly He caught the sight of one female cat Yokai in the audience. He pulled down his sunglasses and winked she wooed before fainting as he smirked.

Something suddenly went into his mouth. "Oh over shot!" hissed one of his son's voice.

"NO!" Splinter cried. "I was having such a glorious dream!" he groaned before shooting a glare at the turtles who were huddled sheepishly by the hallway entry.

"It was Donnie punish him!" Leo said as his now second youngest son pointed at his purple clad brothers.

"GET OUT OF HERE YOU HAIRLESS TEENS!" Splinter screamed causing the four to scatter except Attila who had frozen a bit. He glanced out at the living room Klunk still on his shoulder as he peeked out. Splinter had moved towards his do not touch cabinet. He pulled out a Trophy looking at it sadly. He stared longingly at a reflection until he wiped dust away and sighed.

Attila watched sadly before heading out to find one of his brothers. He heard something in the arcade room. Donnie was currently working on side quests to rebuild Colony Six.

"Hey Donnie does Splinter ever talk about when he was human?" Attila asked him and Klunk sitting beside him.

"Aside from telling us he was Lou Jitsu and his interactions with both Big Mama and Draxum. Actually not." Donnie replied as he finished the side quest. "You Broke Rule thirteen by the way."

"I know…" Attila replied.

"Excellent work on your goals Purple." They suddenly heard Splinter say. "Is it just me or are you two taller?"

"I'm, not sure actually," Attila muttered. "Why are you being so nice?"

"Oh, I was just wondering. When was, the last time, me and purple did something together?" Splinter replied. "And I know I've never spent any quality time with you Orange. I should get around to that."

"Orange?" Attila asked with a tilt of his head, there was a bit of an orange tint in his spots and shell markings he had to admit. "Well, I like it better than Attila."

"Why second name?" Klunk asked.

"It's simply a nickname little kitty." Splinter replied patting her head.

"Well, to answer your question that was three days ago. We all watched six hours of this game together." Donnie replied.

"Exactly," Splinter laughed. "So how about we do something together now." Splinter replied.

"Wow really?" Attila asked lighting up when Donnie pulled him aside.

"Alright we gotta play it cool he could be possessed." Donnie replied.

"Okay," Attila replied. "That would explain the niceness."

They turned back to Splinter. "We ehh, we might be able to squeeze you in." Donnie assured Attila and Klunk nodding.

"Oohh How would you boys like to enter your tank in a Father-son car competition?" Splinter asked bouncing a little on his feet before revealing the event vigorously.

Donnie gasped, "You want to enter my design in a father son competition OMIGOSH!" he said hugging Splinter before spinning him around. "Dreams do come true!" he said throwing Splinter up and having him land on his shoulders before jovially marching off.

"I thought we were playing it cool." Attila hissed as he followed with Klunk in his arms.

Along the way Splinter had grabbed a staff of sorts he had hanging off the wall. Not leaving Donnie's shoulder as they made their way to the Garage. "Well here she is!" Donnie replied excitedly.

"Oooooohh!" Attila and Klunk muttered together. The Tank was huge; Attila had never seen anything like it before. It looked like a monstrously powerful version of the 'cars' humans used in New York. There was even one on top.

Attila noticed the purple silver rims and checkered pattern as well as Splinter circled around it. "So how much damage can this thing take?" Splinter asked kicking the wheels a little bit. He then gave it a few good whacks. Donnie was wincing in fear at this.

"I looks, like it can take a lot of damage." Attila replied.

"Maybe we add another Armor Shell just too really protect your creation." Splinter suggested stopping his attack.

"Great idea Dad can't be too careful, she is my baby. I mean if anything happened to her, I'd…..I'd be lost." Donnie replied.

Attila thought about how armor was needed for a battle. It was weird that Splinter was asking about it for Donnie's car. There was also the fruit loop thing from earlier. "What kind of Car Competition is this?" he asked.

"It is uuhh, uhhm a Car Fair!" Splinter said thinking quickly. "You know like when people bring their prized cars out to pet and shown off!" he said patting Klunk again. "Like a Kitty-Cat or a Spider…"

"Spider? Those are tiny though, also…" Attila thought thinking about Big Mama the only Spider he knew of big enough to be petted at all. He then thought about how horrible she was and shivered as they piled in.

Klunk and Attila were looking out the window watching the buildings rush by them as they got into a more seedy part of the city. "These booster seats are amazing! I can actually see! No more guessing what that thing I ran over was!" Splinter said with a large smile.

"I'm so glad you like it dad!" Donnie said with his own smile giving thumbs up.

"Excellent work son this is going to be a glory filled night. You have made me very- WE'RE HERE!" he said pointing to a large stadium with many spikes on the roof. It had a skull and cross bones and various Yokai crows surrounding the area. In large red neon letters was the words 'Doom Dome."

"Cool, cool, cool!" Attila muttered as he quickly whispered into Donnie's ear. "Abort! We are in danger!"

"Attila, I think he was about to say proud! OOOH it felt amazing! I'm gonna chase this feeling!" Donnie declared driving them into the Dome. Attila and Klunk looked out the window in fear as they passed a dark scary tunnel full of various discarded metal parts spray paint all over the walls and small plumes of fire. They saw a scary mutant rat and her babies screech. They even saw Yokai punching each other out as Klunk pushed the lock on the door down as they stared in fear. Then there was an out of place ice cream stand.

"Ice Cream, hey Dad, wanna share one?" Donnie asked. But they were arriving at the arena.

"You boys ready to have some fun?" Splinter asked.

"You bet we ar-AAHHHHHHGGGGG!" Donnie, Klunk and Attila screamed as something tackled them and sent the tank rolling across the arena. "MY BAAAAABBYYYY!" Donnie yelled as Splinter laughed.

"THIS ISN'T FUN!" Attila screamed as the Tank landed on Attila looked outside to see that the car that tackled them was a pink truck with words he couldn't quite see with a ham and axe on the top.

Several huge spot lights shone down on them and several more cars in the area. They circled around for a bit before going into the center where the fixture of large spikes suddenly ignited on fire. There was a loud cheering of Yokai all around them.

"Whoa." Attila hissed in a whisper.

There was a large set of screens above then that suddenly lit up, revealing a small bellhop Bird Octopus Yokai that appeared. "The Last entry: Seal them all in!" he screamed as the doors all around them closed tightly they were trapped! "LAST CAR STANDING WINS!" he shouted as the screen showed a Trophy in the shape of a Wheel.

"Did you bring us to a crazy Yokai demolition derby!?" Attila asked in shock. He was ignored by Splinter who put on a hat and the orange glasses he wore as Lou Jitsu.

"Who is ready to win some Glory?!" the Rat asked.

"NO ONE!" Klunk shouted but she was ignored as Splinter took the tank speeding around the arena. He whipped away a few of the cars trying to attack them with the hook on top of the tank. He sent one into the wall. A couple more managed to get close and rammed into him knocking them to the side.

"I thought you said they'd be petting my baby not destroying her!" Donnie cried the Tank's shield's dropping to eighty percent, as another car attacked them from the side.

"Tonight's Special: Road Kill!" Sound a familiar British voice.

"Bastard Pig!" Klunk cried.

"Chef Swaggart!? Ooooh, he doesn't like us!" Attila added nervously.

"Well if it's any consolation he doesn't like us either." Donnie assured.

Suddenly a tow truck rammed into them from the other side the three went into the window they were around slamming against it. Attila looked outside to see a mutant Mantis driving the tow truck glowering at them from his car. "Repo!? Ooh he really, really, two reallys: hate's me and Leo!"

The next car to crash into them belonged to a Hippo Mutant in a purple suit with a turban on top. He had black facial hair and some poking out from under his turban. His car was some kind of mix of a truck and a formula car with a glowing red engine, and a Dark, purply silver color. "What are they doing here?" He asked in an accent similar to Meat Sweat's.

"Whose that guy also from Britishia?!" Attila asked with a gasp.

"You mean Britain, that's Hypno and he does not like us either. Also Leo broke his heart." Donnie replied.

Suddenly there was a small van and several large mutant roach heads appeared from inside hissing at the Turtle Tank. "And them?!" Klunk and Attila cried together as Donnie pulled them away from the window.

"Attila, Klunk we must assume for the moment that, no one here, likes us!" Donnie frantically replied crossing his arms then swinging them out for emphasis.

"What have you boys been up to?" Splinter asked somewhat concerned with an arched eye brow.

There was then a Channel Six news truck with spiked rimes on monster tires along with various other instruments that took a swing at them but Splinter Dodged. "Who is that?" Attila asked.

"I have no idea…" Donnie admitted.

The Driver a small worm with a blonde pompadour growled. "I feel the chill of disrespect in the air…"

"Dad, everyone here is a villain! We've gotta get out of here!" Donnie declared.

"Right, behind you on that!" Attila agreed. The Tank was slammed again but they didn't see who was Splinter tightly gripped the wheel.

"Battle Stations if we are going to win that Trophy, we are going to have to-"Splinter began but Donnie cut him off.

"Wait a minute what is going on here!?" Donnie growled.

"Oh a little of this, a little of that," Splinter replied simply. They dodged several blades that came out of the ground, "all in the name of fun!"

"THIS HAS NOT BEEN FUN!" Donnie yelled pulling a lever immediately the Tank stop and was sent flying from another impact landing on its top powering down. All of them had landed on the roof inside the hub. Attila looked over at Klunk who groaned in a lump beside him.

"Are you okay?!" he asked desperately checking her over.

"Yeah," Klunk muttered shaking herself out hating that experience.

"You said this was a car fair!" They heard Donnie yell at Splinter. "You knew I wouldn't come here if you told me it was a demolition derby!"

"Turn this tank back on or else I'll-"Splinter threatened as Attila felt his heart race a little and he immediately got worried for Donnie.

"Or else what!?" Donnie shouted.

"Donnie calm down and do what he says!" Attila begged.

"NO!" Donnie shouted. "I won't! He tricked us into coming here! He said he wanted to spend time with us HE, LIED!" Donnie screamed tears pooling at the edge of his eyes as Attila immediately hugged him shielding him from Splinter's reaction. If Attila had done this he, it made his stomach churn to think about it. He wasn't really paying attention to Donnie trying to struggle out of his grasp but he felt a hand on his shoulder and looked over.

"Attila, whatever you think, I'm going to do to your brother, I won't. I was wrong." Attila's eyes widened in confusion, "even adults can be wrong." Attila slowly pulled away from his brother as Splinter walked up to him. He looked very guilty. Attila was stunned in confusion.

Klunk looked outside the window and noticed five of them circling around. "Why aren't they moving?" Hypno asked.

"They're sitting ducks!" Repo sneered as the Roach gang, Meat Sweats and Warren laughed.

"Those fools!" the former anchor trilled. "Now I'm gonna break them wide open!"

"BAD GUYS!" Klunk cried shouting at them as she was ignored. She ran around the three frantically shouting bad guys over and over as Splinter spoke again.

"Donatello I may have lied about this event. But I did not lie about wanting to spend time with you. I would not have brought you here if I did not." Splinter explained. Donnie looked up and processed this in his head hanging it back down but keeping his eyes open.

"BAD GUYS BAAD GUUYSS!" Klunk was screaming but still went ignored.

"If you had just asked me to hang out with you I would've said yes. I like spending time with you too dad!" Donnie.

"You hurt Donnie," Attila muttered unable to keep the words down.

"I know," Splinter replied. "You are right. I just, sigh, I went a little crazy." He said sadly looking at his hands. "I wake up every day as a tiny rat man." Splinter replied. "And I wanted some glory back in my life." he admitted.

Attila's thoughts immediately went to the sob story that Meat Sweats had given him. He had been a famous movie star before being trapped in the Nexus. He had no hope of regaining his former life if he had been mutated. Splinter lost more than some weak-willed turtle that day; Admittedly more important things than him. His life, his glory, his humanity, something he could tell from the movies he really enjoyed doing so even his passion.

"I'm sorry," Splinter said to Donnie which made his quietly gasp in surprise.

"BAAAAADDD!" Klunk said landing on Attila's head getting his attention.

"Wha!" he yelped as he heard engines revving.

"Oh no!" He whimpered looking outside.

"Take me home boys." Splinter relented as Donnie softened.

"Yes we need to get out of here, they're about to kill us!" Attila warned.

"FLEEEEEE!" Klunk cried from his arms. Donnie's eyes snapped open immediately the tank powered back on but instead of escaping Donnie unleashed a disc that took out Repo's vehicle instantly then used Spider legs to leap back right side up.

"Got him! Alright let's win this thing, Dad Drive!" Donnie declared.

"Donnie?" Splinter asked in shock. "You do not have to do this! We can-"He was cut off when Donnie placed his hand on his shoulder.

"Dad you're awesome okay! You're the guy who introduced us to Lou Jitsu! And sure it might've been cooler if you were a Tiger or something. But that's not the point! The Point is if winning this thing means that much to you then hit that button Daddy-O!" he said pushing Splinter back towards his seat he grabbed his spinning glasses and placed them on his face with a determined grin.

He pressed the turbo button and they all screamed wildly as the tank went Turbo crashing and knocking away the Roach gang which took them out then knocking Meat Sweat's truck away. The only one left chasing them at that point was Warren's truck.

"HAHA! Feel the wrath of the Hardest hitting News since Hound Blitz-"blades cut through the truck exploding it instantly. Warren's severed body went through the air and crashed onto Warren's windshield making the Hippo scream in horror as Donnie placed down an Oil spill that made Hypno spin wildly out of control and crash into the wall with an explosion.

"And another car is destroyed-"The Small announcer said before he was shoved out of the way by Big Mama who glared at the tank from the camera.

"One those turtles that stole my whizzy webs; and it seems they stole my little Champion as well. I want their tank destroyed post hissy-haste Time to get the little spitty-fire back! Ready my car!" she declared with a growl.

They soon took out Meat Sweats and with a cheer from Attila and Klunk the crowd cheered wildly as well. "We did it, boys! I am so prouuuuhhhhh," Splinter muttered in horror as Attila let out a sound of fear.

Donnie somehow didn't hear it. "Why do you keep stopping before you say proud?" Attila moved his head towards what they were looking at. "Oh…" he muttered as a large door opened to reveal angry purple lights gleaming from inside the tunnel like a Monster! As it came into the light they could see a red and purple car, with lime green pipes. With the Seal and Fox hanging off Antenna with weapons strong enough to support them, with blood red flags.

The Polar bear was in shot gun ready to swing at tires with a mace while the Owl Yokai was driving behind them wearing a gold gladiator helmet was Big Mama.

"Big Mama!?" The two brothers whimpered in fear.

"Hello Big Mama!" Splinter said with a slight smirk.

"A Last second entry the Greatest Death Tube champion of all time: BIG MAMA!" shouted the small Yokai.

"But that's cheating." Attila muttered shrinking down not wanting the Spider Yokai to see him or Klunk.

"Believe you and me she doesn't care." Splinter said as Big Mama charged at them. She tackled them with a cackle the tank was forced to flee as missiles were fired at them. They managed to escape but it still didn't look good.

"Shields at fifteen percent;" Donnie warned.

"What are we gonna do! She'll crush us!" Attila cried.

Donnie stood up. "Get ready to launch the Shell Hogs. I'll draw her fire, and when she's got me lined up, you take her out!" Donnie ordered as he went towards them but was grabbed and pulled back by Splinter.

"Bring home the Win boys!" he said getting onto one of the Shell-Hogs.

"No Splinter! Don't be a Hero!" Attila cried reaching out for him as the Bike launched. Big Mama soon noticed Splinter when he threw Shuriken at her. He smirked and circled around her in the other direction. With a hiss she pointed at the Rat having her Driver turn around.

"Hey it's working!" Attila said excitedly. "They took the bait!"

"Now the rest is up to us!" Donnie said as he turned the Tank around and charged after them.

"That's right, follow me, follow me!" Splinter said glancing back at Big Mama who was fervently chasing him.

"Take him out!" Big Mama shrieked as the thugs prepared to attack.

"Heading your way boys you've got one shot!" Splinter told them. Attila placed his foot on the Pedal ignoring all fear he glared focusing on moving the tank forward as Donnie prepared to aim his missiles.

Splinter was blown away by the Seal's missile launcher. "Got 'im!" he shouted.

"Good now we- Oh no!" Big Mama muttered realizing too late what was happening as the Turtle Tank flew out of the smoke. Three powerful shots to the car to shut it down.

"And BOOM GOES THE DONNIEMYTE!" Donnie declared as Big Mama's car exploded leaving her and her minions in a pile with the Turtle tank untouched.

"THE TANK WINS, THE TANK WINS!" The Little Yokai cheered as the crowd went wild. Rose petals began to fall. Splinter who had pulled himself out of his own wreck noticed the same cat Yokai from several years ago several years older. He grinned and winked with his glasses pulled down a little. She squealed but immediately had her Heart stop. Splinter grinned sheepishly before he noticed Attila, Klunk and Donnie happily hugging and cheering wildly.

"My boys, I am so proud," Splinter said with deep pride. A signal went off in Donnie's head as he shoved Attila and Klunk down into the dashboard.

"DID YOU JUST HEAR THAT!?" he asked.

" Narrrhg, I think Splinter needs to compliment you more." Attila muttered his face smooshed.

"Okay time!" said Foot Lieutenant as Rico shut down his power, he had named Diamond Hide. "You've reached the maximum amount of time Draxum said you could hold it. Well done."

The Now Rhino mutant grinned. He punched his hand into his palm determinedly before punching through solid concrete. "HOOO YAH! Now that's power baby!" he declared proudly.

Riley now a Warthog mutant had been blindfolded as he sniffed various objects. "Let's see Apple Pie, with slightly out of date flower but very fresh, apples, eggs and milk and Canadian cinnamon."

"Oooh, impressive!" Brute said as he pulled out another item. "Try this." Riley sniffed it.

"I've never smelt this before, is this what, magic smells like?" He asked.

"It is," Draxum said impressed with the results. "I believe you two are finally ready." He said grinning.

"Hey Riley now that we're Super Villains we Super Villain names!" Rico said excitedly.

"You're right, we'll sleep on it, tomorrow we've gotta play date with the turtles." Riley said grinning.
