Hello Readers: And welcome to another day of chapters. Now, before we begin, I want to just give you guys some information. I know yesterday, I was planning on doing a swim. But I've decided to instead do something else with our birthday couple. Hope you enjoy.
Chapter Seventy-Four
Birthday R&R
So much for a swim with her loving husband and friends, and so much for keeping their home clean. That was the part of what just happened that Gabby hated the most, that she threw up all over the floor of her and Matt's home; right in front of all of their friends. She was so embarrassed, that she decided to run back to their room as she felt horrible over what she just did in front of everybody; heck, she barely wanted to look at her husband right now. And that was because (in her mind) she just ruined their floor. But that most certainly was the last way that Matt wanted her to feel right now, as she didn't ruin their home. And he was going to convey that message to her when he was in the washroom with her, which he could now do as he spoke to their friends and family; the friends and family who are going to take care of their children, while he takes care of his beautiful (pregnant) wife. And he was incredibly grateful that she was the only woman that he needs to concentrate on right now, as she's his girl; and she's the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world (and who just so happens to be the only person he has on his mind at the moment). And that's especially the case since she's pregnant with their third child, which is why he's going to be concentrating on her starting right now.
Walking into the washroom shortly after getting undressed and grabbing a fresh pair of boxers; Matt took a breath as he didn't know what he was going to see when he walks into the bathroom this morning, ahead of him and Gabby taking a shower together. And, of course, this is how they're going to be starting their day alone; a day where he can concentrate on the woman he loves, who is also in the midst of currently crying in the shower. And that's something that he doesn't want to hear right now, which is exactly why he needs to be with her right now. Walking up to the counter, Matt took a breath as he set his boxers down. After which, he walked over to the shower while taking off his towel; that way, he can get in the shower with his wife as quickly as possible (which will give him the ability to hold his wife in his arms, and comfort her the way he needs to right now). Opening the door shortly after hanging up his towel next to Gabby's towel, Matt took one last breath while looking at his girl. Hearing the door to the shower open, Gabby looked up at the man she loves. "What are you doing here?" Matt was a bit taken aback when he heard Gabby say that, before smiling at her. "I'm here to be with my wife, as we hold each other on her birthday; and as I hold her in my arms, while I try to make her feel better."
Gabby was a bit taken aback when she heard Matt say that, before seeing him put his hand out. "And the…" Matt shook his head. "How about you get up, I can wash you, and then I will answer all the questions you have? You can hold me, and I can make you feel better. I promise Gabby, I already know some of the questions that you have; and I am going to be able to answer them really easily." Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, well aware that was the case. Grabbing his hand, Gabby finally got up before coming to get close to him at the door to their shower; after which, Matt wrapped his arms around her and just held her (and their future child close to his chest). Moving her hand to his neck as soon as she was in Matt's arms, Gabby cuddled up to him and just took a breath; at the same time, Matt ran his hand up and down her back. "Hey, I'm here now. It's okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, while taking a breath. "I'm sorry, I just…" Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby try and apologize for something, which she doesn't need to do; she has no reason to apologize to him, and never will have a need to apologize to him. "Hey, no."
Gabby agreed with her husband as he told her that, before taking a breath as she held the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "How are the boys?" Matt smiled as he heard Gabby ask him how the boys were. "They're going to be taken care of by our family today, and you can call them to bring them up any time you want. But right now, you need to rest; and I'm going to be here to make sure that you rest today." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that. After which, she put her hand on his neck once again. She then smiled as she proceeded to kiss her husband, taking things nice and slow with him; after all, that's exactly what she wants to do right now. She wants to take things nice and slow with the man of her dreams. "I love you." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, before smiling as he held his beautiful wife in his arms. "Is me holding you in my arms making you feel better?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether him holding her in his arms making him feel better, which it most definitely is. "What do you think baby? I think we both know that it is." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby tell him that this morning.
After all, that's exactly what he wants to hear. He wants to make sure that she feels better, and that she's okay when it comes to her being pregnant, which is something that he decided to whisper into her ear about. "So, is it wrong for me to want to have a daughter?" Gabby laughed as she heard Matt ask her that, after which she leaned back and looked at the man she loves. "Oh, we are most definitely going to be talking about that today." Matt smiled as he looked at his girl. "I can't help but wonder if you're sick on purpose." Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that, before stepping away from him, before also pushing him away a bit; after which, she turned around and proceeded to stood in front of her husband. At the same time, Matt walked up behind his beautiful wife; after which, he put his hands on her hips and bent down to kiss her shoulder softly. And let's just say that Gabby loved that feeling, especially when she felt Matt kiss her shoulder again. Sucking on her shoulder, Matt smirked as she's really happy right now. "God, you are so damn sexy. And I love you more than anything in the entire world." Gabby agreed with Matt, smiling at him.
After which, she decided to turn around in his arms again; stepping close to her loving husband, Gabby smiled as she put her hands on his chest and just smiled as she leaned in to kiss him softly; taking things nice and slow with his girl this morning, Matt smirked. "Happy birthday baby, I'm so sorry that your breakfast wasn't what you wanted to enjoy." Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that, as she did enjoy her breakfast. "I did like it, but I don't think our daughter enjoyed it." Matt couldn't help but smile as he heard Gabby say that, as he absolutely loves the fact that she believes they're going to have a daughter too. "You are going to be the best mother to our daughter." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, well aware that's the case; after which, Matt got nice and close to the woman he loves more than anything once again. Wrapping his arms around her shortly afterwards, Matt smiled as he proceeded to kiss her forehead softly; meanwhile, Gabby put her hands on his arms. And that feeling made Gabby smile.
Just holding each other close, Matt and Gabby both smiled as he pressed his lips to her forehead; and let's just say that's definitely something that Gabby always enjoyed feeling, as it was a way for her husband to show her that he loves her more than anything in the entire world. I mean, not that she needs to be told that once again. Looking down at his girl, Matt smirked due to the fact that he was incredibly happy at the moment; after which, he bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly. "Want me to wash you?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she wanted him to wash her. "First, I want to just talk about something." Matt smiled at his girl when she said that. "How about right now, we wash up? After that, we can talk over there…" Matt said, pointing towards the bath that he wanted to use with Gabby. Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she liked that idea. "I think that sounds like the perfect place for us to relax. It's what we both need to do right now." Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, smiling as he grabbed some soap.
After which, he moved his hand to her neck and stepped close to her; leaning in, Matt smirked as he took things nice and slow with her. "I think we rush things today." Gabby took a breath when she heard Matt tell her that, before nodding. "Yeah, I agree with you when you say that. We should've taken things slow. Maybe then I wouldn't have ruined breakfast." Matt shook his head when he heard Gabby say that she ruined breakfast, as that's not what she did. "Hey, listen to me; you can't ruin breakfast, because today is YOUR day. Today is your birthday, you're the birthday girl, and that's final." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, the wife truly falling more and more in love with her husband more each and every day; after which, she wrapped her arms around him again. "Here, let me wash you up okay Gabby. And then we can get in the bath. Now, I do need to say this. Natalie is going to try and get you nausea meds okay? So, I may need to step out at some point. Other than that…" Gabby smiled. "I still have some, so no rush."
Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, smiling due to the fact that he loves his beautiful wife more than anything in the entire world. "Just curious, what are we going to be wearing today?" Gabby smiled as she looked at Matt. "Boxers and lingerie?" Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that. "I love the sound of that, especially since it means that we can hold each other…as well as Baby Grace Marie?" Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that. "That is NOT going to be our daughter's middle name, because our hypothetical baby girl's middle name is already chosen." Matt looked at his wife when she said that. "What happened to no…" Gabby just looked at her husband when he said that. "You got Andy as a middle name; I get Shay as our daughter's middle name."
That was going to be the first (of many) topics that they were going to cover today, the hypothetical names that they can use for their (future) child; the one that they are currently pregnant with. And they are going to talk about it as they cuddle up to each other in bed, which is something that Gabby needs to do right now. With her not feeling good, she just needs to take it easy and relax in bed; that way, she isn't going to be too stressed about what's going on with their baby right now. But that didn't mean that she wasn't thinking about it, especially with all of the risks that came with her being pregnant so soon after giving birth to the twins. But that didn't mean that her sitting down in bed didn't help her, as she did have a great chance to look out at the ocean; which is something that always calms her down on a daily basis, and that was why Matt switched sides with her when they moved here. "You more comfortable here in bed than outside?" Turning her head, Gabby smiled as she looked up at her husband; nodding, she extended her hand.
"Come here." Matt agreed with Gabby when she asked him to come join her in bed, which is exactly what he plans on doing today; after all, it's where they both need to be at the moment. "Slip over in bed, I want you to lay down some more." Gabby shook her head. "No, I can't. Look down." Confused, Matt looked down to see a bucket on the ground. "Oh." Gabby sighed. "I just want to be prepared." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before coming to sit down next to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. After which, he went ahead and put his hand on hers. "Look at me for a sec." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, doing just that. "I don't care if you throw up on the ground, because I can always clean that up. And I can always clear the sheets. All that matters to me, is that you feel good." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before smiling at him. "How about you go hang your towel up? Then you can come hold me in bed…and we can talk about what I mentioned in the bathroom." Matt agreed.
"And we will talk about that. But first, I want to go talk to your mom okay? I want to go tell her that you're okay." Gabby sighed. "Can you just text her? I want to get comfortable with you, and just relax with the man I love. And if you don't do it because you love me, then do it because it's my birthday." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before leaning in and kissing the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Oh, I will most definitely do it because I love you; no need to worry about that." That's when Matt and Gabby both heard Andy rush into the room, their furry friend coming to join Gabby in bed. He then got close to her and smiled as he went to get close to her before licking her face, hearing she was sick. "Hey, down boy. Down boy." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before looking at him. "Oh, is someone jealous that I'm getting kisses from another…" That's when Gabby heard her phone ring. "Oh…" Matt then put his hand on hers. "Hey, we both agreed no business today." Gabby sighed. "Can I check who it is?"
Matt sighed, before going to grab her phone, which is when he saw that it wasn't business, rather it was her father. "Actually, I think you're going to want to take this call." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that. "Slip over, and I'll give you your phone." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, slipping over so that he can get in bed with her; after which, Matt got up and proceeded to open the covers. Climbing in, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around his beautiful wife so that he can give her comfort; after which, he proceeded to give Gabby her phone so that she could see who was calling her. That's when she noticed that it was her father. "Oh." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, cuddling up to her as he tugged the covers up; after which, he turned his head and kissed the side of her head. "How about you answer? And we can talk to your dad." Gabby smiled at her loving husband. "You sure you want to…" Matt smiled at his beautiful wife. "Gabby, I'm not going anywhere." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, smiling at him.
After which, she proceeded to answer the call and put it on speakerphone. "Hi dad." It was then that the normal Ramon Dawson's personality came out; the joyous, over the top personality that Ramon is known for. "Feliz cumpleaños niña." (Happy birthday baby girl). Gabby laughed and smiled before speaking to her father in Spanish. "Gracias papa." (Thanks dad). The father just laughed. "Cariño, no tienes por qué agradecerme. Siempre te llamaré para decirte feliz cumpleaños." (Sweetheart, you have no reason to thank me. I will always call you to say happy birthday.) That's when Gabby decided to tell her father that Matt was here, that way he can understand what he's telling her. "Dad, Matt's here. And I would like him to be part of this conversation, as we have some news to share." Matt smiled when he heard Gabby say that, before slipping down in bed and kissing her forehead softly. After which, Gabby smiled as she cuddled up to him and rolled over onto her side a bit more. After which, Matt turned his head and kissed her forehead.
"You comfortable?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she was comfortable in his arms. "Of course, I am baby, no need to worry about that." After which, Gabby turned her attention back to the conversation that she was having with her father over the phone. "I can only assume that my grandsons aren't nearby? Sorry I'm not there on your birthday mija. But I thought you'd be back in Hawaii for it." Gabby sighed as she heard her father say that, as this is not exactly how she would've liked to share the news that she has for him. "Well, that's the thing that. We might not be back in Hawaii for a while." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, before grabbing her hand and kissing her forehead again. "Oh, is there a reason for that?" Ramon then decided to say something in Spanish, with the hopes of Matt not understanding. "¿Está todo bien entre tú y Matt?" (Is everything okay between you and Matt?) Understanding that phrase, Matt proceeded to answer for Gabby. "Ramon, I promise that everything's okay." Ramon seemed shocked.
"You understood that?" Matt laughed. "Ramon, Camila lives with us. I pick up on Spanish based on how my wife responds to some of the questions that she asks her, right?" Ramon then understood that, it clearly making sense. "Right, that makes sense. But the question still stands." Gabby sighed. "Dad, everything's fine. I'm just a bit under the weather." Ramon felt bad about that. "I'm sorry sweetie. Has it been something that you've been dealing with for a while?" Gabby smiled. "Well, it's more like something that I'm going to be dealing with for a couple months. But it's going to be worth it." Ramon was a bit confused as he heard his daughter say that, before starting to understand what she was trying to say. "¿Estás embarazada de nuevo?" (Are you pregnant again?) Gabby was surprised when she heard her father say that, shocked that he would already assume that. "How in the world did you guess that right away?" Ramon laughed. "Because that's the only thing that I could think of. Wow, so another set of twins?" Gabby got nervous.
Turning his head, Matt ran his fingers through her hair to give her comfort; kissing her forehead afterwards, Matt whispered to her. "Hey, we have no idea that's going to be the case Gabby. Take a breath and just relax for me, okay baby?" Gabby took a breath when she heard Matt say that, who then turned to speak to Ramon. "Ramon, we aren't sure yet; and the truth is, we're hoping that it's not twins. If it is twins, we'd be okay with it; but I'm not sure if it'd be the healthiest thing if she got pregnant with twins again." Ramon agreed with his son-in-law when he said that, well aware that would be the case. "Right, of course. My apologies to you both." Matt agreed with Ramon when he said that, before watching as Andy got on their bed with them; after which, he went ahead and laid down next to Gabby. Putting her hand on his head, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to rub it. "You want me to lay down some more Gabby?" Gabby shook her head. "Not yet. Right now, we're talking to my dad." Matt agreed with his wife as he held her close to him.
"So, what are you guys doing? Because I thought you guys we're going to be coming back here to Hawaii later this year, when it starts to get colder." Matt sighed as he heard Ramon say that, before turning to look at Gabby. "He's your dad." Gabby agreed with her husband when he told her that, well aware that was the case. "What does Matt mean by 'he's your dad' mija?" Gabby took a breath. "He means that it's my job to tell you some news that we have for you." Ramon agreed with is daughter. "More news?" Gabby sighed as she proceeded to tell her father. "Me and Matt have been re-thinking as to where we're going to be living. And uhm…" Kissing the side of Gabby's head, Matt proceeded to whisper to her. "You can do this baby." Gabby agreed with Matt. "We think that it'd be better if we live in California instead of Hawaii, as it makes things easier for business. If Matt needs to go to New York, he can get back to California the next day; and he can leave for shorter times, than having to go for an extra day than required." Her father agreed. "Well, that makes complete sense when I actually take a minute to think about it." Gabby agreed with her father, smiling.
"Thanks dad, it means a lot to me that you understand." Ramon snickered as he heard Gabby say that. "Gabby, you have no need to thank me. I want you guys to do whatever's best for the sake of your children." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, smiling due to the fact that he was really happy that they were having a nice conversation with her father at the moment. After all, that's exactly what the husband and father always wants when it comes to the conversations that they have with family; he wants them to be easy, and he wants them to be very relaxing. "And that includes my grandsons. By the way, I've been meaning to ask; I would love it if I could get some updated pictures of Matteo and Noah." Gabby agreed with her father when he told her that, well aware that's the case. Moving to use her phone, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to send to send her father some pictures of Matteo and Noah; some pictures that the grandfather is more than happy to receive. "What do you think of those pictures dad?" Ramon was confused. "What are you talking about mija?" Matt laughed. "Look at your text messages Ramon."
The grandfather just finished looking at his text messages, before noticing just why his son-in-law told him to look at them; and boy was the grandfather happy that he looked at the pictures, because he got a really nice set of updated pictures of his grandsons. "Oh boy, they certainly are growing since I last saw them." Gabby smiled as she heard her father say that, as she most definitely agreed with her father when he said that. "Oh they sure have. I am so glad that they are growing, because they are so adorable. And it sure does give me a hand when it comes to my business." Ramon laughed a bit when he heard Gabby say that, well aware of the fact that his daughter is creating her own fashion line. "How's that coming along anyways? Did you make any designs recently?" Matt looked at his wife when he asked her that, the husband wanting his wife to relax as much as possible. "Baby." Turning her head, Gabby sighed. "Matt, he's my father. He's allowed to ask me about my business, just like you would let your mother ask you questions."
Matt agreed with his wife as she told him that, as that's most definitely the truth. "I know." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, before smiling as she put her hand on his; after which, she intertwined their fingers as they both cuddled up to each other. And let's just say that it's absolutely perfect. I mean, what's better than the feeling of her sitting in bed with the man she loves. That's when she decided to get up some more, as she wants Matt to slip over in bed; that way, she'll have the ability to sit in his lap. "I want to sit in your lap as we cuddle up to each other." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, before moving close to her. He then leaned back against their pillows as he sat in the middle of the bed, exactly where Gabby wanted him to sit; after which, she crawled into his lap and then cuddled up to him as she sat in between his legs. Leaning back against his chest, Gabby smiled as they held each other close. Wrapping his arm around Gabby shortly after she sat down in his lap, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arm around her body.
Kissing her shoulder, Matt smiled due to the fact that he's very comfortable. "So, you want to know about my business dad?" Ramon agreed. "What's with all the moving anyways?" Gabby laughed. "Don't worry dad, I was just moving into Matt's lap; we're sitting in bed." That's when Ramon realized something. "Oh, are the boys asleep?" Matt shook his head. "No, they're with family. Gabby isn't feeling good, so we're resting in bed." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that. "I was just moving into Matt's lap to cuddle up to him." Ramon agreed with his daughter when she said that, well aware of the fact that she likes to cuddle up to her husband; after all, he's seen it firsthand. "Well, I'm glad that you're comfortable." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, smiling as she just relaxed in his arms; at the same time, she and Matt both continued to speak to her father on the occasion of her birthday.
