Chapter 213: Almost time for the Camping trip...

(April 23. The Loud Residence, Franklin Avenue. Royal Woods, Michigan.)

We head to the backyard, and this is where we see Lincoln and Luna Loud, as the duo are spending some time before tomorrow comes. "So, are you prepped up and ready to go there tomorrow? I mean, this is your very first time there, for the next five days" said Luna.

Lincoln nods. "Well, I gotta double check on everything that I might need if I am to head to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, which is located at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Man that is a mouthful to say."

Luna chuckles. "Glad we can spend some time together before you head off tomorrow, I am gonna miss ya but it is only for five days and we will see each other again, and this is gonna be like the times when we went to sleepovers. I don't want anything bad to happen to my little brother."

Lincoln nods. "Yeah I know. But, you can still spend some time with Sam, or perhaps mom. Some mother and daughter time, and she wouldn't mind some bonding time with you. You both bonded and sang amazing during the Music Festival from Last Year too."

Luna smiles, and she rubs her brother's hair. "Yeah, you're right. Sorry about that little brother, I'm just being careful and worried about my little brother." Lincoln hugs her, and so she returns the hug, just then the backdoor opens and they see Lynn Jr come out.

"Hey guys, have you seen one of my footballs? I checked my room, and one is missing and it's the one I always use when I come out here and do some game time."

Lincoln realizes this. "Here sis." He grabs it from behind the tree, and he throws it to Lynn, and she catches it. "Found it stuck in the bushes, and also was gonna be taken by some very angry Squirrel, chances he thought it was some kind of giant acorn."

Lynn smirks. "Thanks bro. Also, I heard that you're gonna be headed to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park tomorrow, right? Because, I have been there before." Lynn then continues. "I had tons of fun there, and there might be more fun stuff to do. This one time, I had this bunk mate, and we were friends since we started schooling together in the fourth grade."

"Now, come to think of it. I don't remember her anymore, I mean it was the last trip we had in Grade School, and I completely forgot her name ever since we graduated and went off to Middle School, and I don't even know if he is in the same school as me, or she might have moved out to another school." She then takes her leave, and go back into the house.

Lincoln is a little surprised to hear that, and deep down he is having some concerns if it might happen to him and his friends, and he doesn't wanna lose his friends or forget about their names. Luna then checks the time. "We could use some lunch, come on little brother."

Lincoln nods, and he gets up and follows his big sister and they go into the house, they do see Michelle Lewis is in the kitchen and she is cooking something with beef and some vegetables. "Hey kids, just prepping up the beef for tonight's dinner. I have been planning on something which came to me after watching some of the old videos of Hell's Kitchen."

"Sounds awesome mom" replied Luna.

"Can't wait to try it later, dang shame that Luan isn't hereto help, because she is busy with a birthday" replied Lincoln.

Michelle then asks. "So, you ready for tomorrow kiddo?"

Lincoln nods. "I am ready, and I hope that we're gonna have even more fun when we go there. It's gonna be awesome, and I look forward to spending some fun time with my friends, and Jordan. Also, I think it's gonna be better than the previous camp we went to with our parents, the one called Scratchy Bottom Camping Grounds."

Luna and Lincoln shudder hearing that, and they don't like that place. But then Michelle asks. "How bad was it?"

Lincoln then explains the things that go down there. "Well, we don't like going there at times, and yet our parents are chill with it. We get attacked by so many annoying mosquitos, the hiking can be harsh and unruly, we have issues with bears always coming to the camp, then we got Lola always getting annoyed about pooping in the woods, and this creepy rumor about hill people, but we all know it's just a large colony of badges for some reason."

Luna then speaks. "Whenever we have a family trip there in spring season, Rita and Lynnard would shrug off what Lincoln and the rest of us say, and think that we're being childish and making things up. Honestly, I don't get why they don't get into the issues we deal with when we're there."

This makes Michelle concerned. "Yeah, another thing for me to just get really fired up about those two, but don't worry kids. We're never ever going there, and I am making a mental note about that one. Sounds terrible, and I have been to better camping grounds, and I know how camping works. Because I was an ace at being the Junior California Forest Girl Scout."

This impresses Lincoln and Luna, and they wanna learn more about this, but then Lola and Lana show up. "We wanna know about that." Because they are both Junior Blue Bell Scouts.

(Timeskip, night time.)

The night has fallen, and we see that Lincoln and Luna have finished watching a movie on Lincoln's laptop, and then Lincoln turns it off and closes it. "Alright, little brother. Time to get some sleep, you got a big day ahead of you tomorrow."

Lincoln nods, and he gets into bed, but then he asks. "Lunes, can you sleep with me tonight. I wanna spend another night close to my big sister."

This makes Luna smile, and she recalls the times back then when Lincoln was very young and would want some comfort from his big sister. "Alright, scooch over Linc." She then lays down next to her brother, and she feels him hugging her.

"Goodnight Luna, I love you big sis."

Luna smiles. "Good night little brother." Luna then hugs him, and closes her eyes. "I love you too, Lincoln."
