Hello Readers: And Happy Holy Thursday. And boy, what a crazy night we had last night. I truly loved Casey's return to Chicago Fire, and I truly want to thank Jesse for taking time to film this episode; yet, at the same time…it also makes me want to come back full-time. But I also know that he needs to make that choice for himself, and we need to respect his decisions; especially after hearing just how crazy his life is now that he's a father. And that's why I want to send a personal message to him and his wife. I am so glad that your child is okay because I know that must've been a real stress for you. But other than that, let's get back to the story. Here we go.

Chapter Eighty-Two
A Morning Walk on Playa San Juan Leighton

July 27, 2019 – Playa San Juan Leighton
They decided to get up early today, wanting to get out of the house for a bit before it got too warm; and they said that they wanted to make sure to get a bit of exercise ahead of them relaxing in bed today, without the boys. And that's something that they were ready for. But right now, that wasn't what they were thinking about; at least, it wasn't what Matt was thinking about. Rather, he was thinking about what happened yesterday. How Antonio took Andy out for a walk without his permission, and how he reacted to it; he just felt horrible, and he couldn't help but wonder whether he overreacted. And that's why Matt wanted to take a walk with Gabby this morning, so that he could talk to her about it. And that's what he decided to do, ask his wife whether he had a right to be mad. "Can I ask you something that I want you to be honest with me about?" Turning her head to look at her loving husband, Gabby smiled as he most definitely could do just that. "Hey, of course you can baby. You can always talk to me about what's going on in your head."

Matt took a breath as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "Sorry that I even thought that I couldn't talk to you about this." Gabby sighed as she looked at Matt when he said that, before stroking his arm. "Is it related to the fact that I'm pregnant again, already?" Turning to look at Gabby as she asked him whether it was related to the fact that she was pregnant again, Matt was absolutely shocked; so shocked, that it caused him to stop walking. After which, he tugged on Andy's leach. "Andy, sit." Looking up at his master, Andy agreed with him before relaxing. After which, Matt proceeded to get close to the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "Hey, of course not. Please baby, never think that way. Gabby, I want you to hear me when I say that; so please look into my eyes and listen to me." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her t hat, before smiling at him. After which, Matt proceeded to bend down and kiss her softly. "Okay, so this is what I need to tell you okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt, nodding.

"I never want you to think that I'm not happy about us being pregnant with our child. I'm thrilled over the fact that we're having another baby, and I want you to know that. Okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that's the case. After which, she stepped close to him and just stared into his eyes; after which, Matt wrapped his arm around Gabby and put his hand on her butt. Stroking her butt with his thumb, Matt smiled as he looked down at his wife; he then bent down and proceeded to kiss her softly, which Gabby most definitely did enjoy. She loves the feeling of his soft lips on hers, and Matt is very much aware of that fact. There really is nothing like the feeling of the both of them sharing a nice kiss with each other, because it's exactly what Gabby wants to have her loving husband do right now; she wants him to kiss her, and just hold her close. Putting his hand on Gabby's hip, Matt smiled due to the fact that he's really happy right now; especially due to the fact that they're having another baby next year, a girl.

"I had a dream last night." Gabby was a bit taken aback when she heard Matt say that. "That came out of the blue." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that's the case. "Yeah, I know but…" Matt then proceeded to grab her hand, smiling at her. "Hey, that doesn't mean that I don't want to hear about the dream that you had last night." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling at his girl as he wrapped his arm around her waist; after which, he bent down and kissed her softly one more time. And only after they shared another kiss, did he go ahead and tell Gabby about the dream that he can had the night before. "I think I already know the gender of our baby." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before laughing a bit. "I already know what you're going to say." Matt was a bit confused when he heard Gabby say that. "And is there a reason why you know that?" Gabby laughed. "Because I know that you want a daughter, if this is our last pregnancy; because we both know we aren't sure." Matt agreed.

"Do you want to go sit on the beach somewhere? Maybe we can sit in the sand and I can get that toy out of my back pocket for Andy?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, well aware of what toy he's talking about. "I still can't believe you found one that you can fit in your pocket." Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby as she said that; after with, he wrapped his arms around Gabby and just held her close to his chest, which is exactly what he wants to do with the woman he loves right now. After which, he pressed his lips to her forehead while also looking down at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. Putting her hand on Matt's chest, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to kiss the love of her life softly. After which, she felt him put his hand on her neck and just held her close. Taking things nice and slow with his girl, Matt smirked due to the fact that he really loves Gabby more than anything in the entire world; and the truth is, he feels like he's the luckiest man in the entire world to have the honor to call Gabby his wife.

And he needs to make sure that she stays healthy. "So, are we going to go sit down together? Or are we going to get drinks and then find a place on the beach?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt ask her that. "I really wished we brought some beach chairs now, because that would be really comfortable." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, before smiling as he looked into her eyes. "Yeah, I know what you mean. And I think that we should've as well. But I think we both know that you would've just got up anyways, and you wouldn't have been able to sit down very long." Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, as he knows her too well. "I swear, you know me too well." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she told him that, before proceeding to grab his hand; after which, she looked up into his eyes. Bending down, Matt smirked due to the fact that they're both really happy right now. After which, Gabby moved her hand to Matt's cheek while kissing him slowly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt just smiled.

"God, I love you so much; and I just love sharing a kiss with you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that's the case. "Oh, I am well aware of the fact that you love sharing a kiss with me; and I think we both know that we're going to be sharing a bunch of kisses today, which you want more than anything." Matt just looked at his wife when she said that, as he thought that it was the other way around. "I think that it's the other way around. Last time I checked, you're the one that's hormonal and are going to want a bunch of kisses from me." Gabby snickered a bit when she heard Matt say that, as she most definitely knows that. After which, Matt proceeded to grab Gabby's hand once again; after which, he proceeded to walk away together. "So, we need to get you a drink. I think that we both know that you need to drink something while we're on here." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that. "And I think that we both know you want to relax too." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, continuing to walk away with his wife.

Just taking it easy with Gabby, Matt smiled as he wanted to make sure that she needs to take it easy. "I hope you remember that you need to take it easy today." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, well aware that's the case. "And so do you, because we don't want stress to come into our room." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that's the case. "Sorry about that by the way, I really don't want to bring stress into our room. I just…" Wrapping her arms around Matt's bicep, Gabby grabbed his hand and intertwined their fingers; after which, she put her hand on his bicep while stroking it with her thumb. Laying her hand down on his arm, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she's really happy that she and Matt are taking some time alone; after all, that's what they need to do sometimes. They need to take it easy with each other, and they need to relax. But right now, they are just going to go find a place to buy themselves some drinks. "You know what I could go for right now?" Looking at Gabby, Matt smiled at his wife.

"For us to go home, so that I can start holding you in bed?" Gabby laughed as she heard Matt say that, as that's not what she wants to do; rather, she wants to go get a smoothie or something at a beach bar. "Actually, I was thinking that we can go to a beach bar somewhere and have a drink together." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, really liking the idea of the both of them going to get a smoothie at a beach bar; after all, it will give Gabby some nutrients that she needs for the sake of their child. "I think that I can agree with that, as you most definitely do need a smoothie with some proteins." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, having thought that was what he was going to think. "Oh, I knew that you were going to say that." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, because that most definitely is something that he plans on doing; he plans on making sure that she's healthy. And right now, they're going to go have a nice drink together, without their kids as they take it easy with each other right now.

He decided to not only buy them some smoothies, but he also decided to buy them some bagels; that being just one of the ways that Gabby can get some protein into her system for the sake of their unborn child. He just hopes that he got a good bagel for Gabby, and that she enjoys it; but only time will tell as she's yet to eat the bagel, nor has she seen the type of bagel that Matt got for her. Walking up to the table that Gabby was sitting at, Matt smiled as he proceeded to set her drink down in front of her; only to see that she's currently in the midst of looking at her phone. "Are you looking at something?" Turning her head, Gabby smiled before nodding. "Nothing important." Matt laughed as he heard Gabby say that, well aware that she was lying; after which, he moved his hand to the back of her head while bending down to kiss her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that this is everything that he wants in life. He wants to share a sweet kiss with his beautiful wife. "I love you." Gabby agreed.

Putting her hand on Matt's arm as he kept his hand on her neck, Gabby smiled while feeling him stroke her cheek; after which, she smirked as Matt bent down and proceeded to kiss her again. "I love you so much." Matt agreed with Gabby when she told him that, before smiling as he got up. After which, he proceeded to walk away so that he can sit down in front of Gabby. Smiling at Andy as he sat down next to his chair, Matt smiled as he rubbed the top of his head. "Hey boy." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before watching as he sat down in his chair; after which, Matt turned around so that he can look at the woman he loves. After which, he smiled due to the fact that he's more than happy over the fact that they're together right now. All that matters at the end of the day is that they're together, and that they're having fun with each other; after which, he finally sat down and looked at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. That's when Gabby went ahead and took a sip of her smoothie this morning.

After which, Gabby proceeded to look at the bagel and went ahead to take a bite of it. Smiling as she took a bit, she couldn't help but think about how much she loves the bagel. "God, I didn't expect this bagel to taste this good." Going to take a bite of his own bagel, Matt smiled as he looked at Gabby. "I may have tested this out before I was okay with you having it." Looking up at Matt when he said that, Gabby smiled. "I swear, you never cease to amaze me when it comes to what you do for me." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that, before nodding as he proceeded to take another bite of his bagel. He then went ahead and looked down at Andy so that he can make sure that he stays where he is, as he doesn't want him to run away. But Andy was not really who Matt wanted to be looking at right now, as that would be Gabby for the simple fact that she's the most beautiful woman in his world; he loves her more than anything in the entire world, and there's just nobody like her. She truly is the love of his life, and he's happy with her.

"So, I was thinking that I could help you with something today." Looking up at Matt when he said that, confused. "You mean other than take care of me? Because we both know that's what you're going to do." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling at her. "What do you expect? I'm your husband, and I want to take care of my pregnant wife." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smiling at him. "So, what are you thinking?" Matt smiled at her. "I want to talk about a bunch of things, and I know that you have a lot on your mind when it comes to how things are going to work out; between the business, and us having three kids. I know that it's going to be a lot." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, as that really is something that she has on her mind; just how hard it's going to be. "Yeah, I know what you mean. It's going to be something that we need to figure out." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before going to grab his drink; after which, he went ahead and proceeded to take a drink so that he can take it easy.

"But one thing that we need to figure out is how this is going to work, because I know you already said that you want to have four kids. Are we will on track for that?" Gabby took a breath. "I don't want to think too far ahead, but I think that I do want to go for another baby in the future. But I don't want to think about that right now." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, well aware that was the case. But right now, they just want to take it easy and relax. "But I think that we need to take it easy, and we need to think about how this is all going to happen. I know that we're going to have a lot of stuff going on. Between the boys, the business, and everything. I just want to figure things out, and I want to make sure that we're on the same page." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, as that most definitely is something that they need to do; they need to talk about what this means for the future. "Yeah, we need to talk about that. And we need to figure out what this means for the business." Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that.

"Gabby, that wasn't what I was thinking about; I promise, because I know I made you mad about that yesterday. I'm fully dedicated to us spending the time that you want with me today, and we're going to do that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, really appreciating the fact that he's going to want to take time with her; especially since that's what she wants to do with the man she loves as well. She wants to take it easy with Matt, and she wants to make sure that they both relax with each other. "As long as you promise me that you relax at the same time, you need to remember to breathe baby; especially after you had PTSD last night, which does concern me. Are you okay after that?" Matt took a breath when he heard Gabby ask him that, as he is okay; and he'll always be okay when it comes to his PTSD. "I promise, everything is okay." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that was the case. "I just hope that you know that you can always talk to me if you need to, because I will always be here; regardless of the pregnancy."

Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, as that's something that he most definitely knows; he knows that Gabby will always be there for him, even though she's pregnant. She doesn't want him to not talk to her, just because they're pregnant with their child. "I promise that we're going to talk, because that will always be the case." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, before taking a breath. "I think that we both need to remember that we need to always prioritize our marriage." Matt was a bit taken aback when he heard Gabby tell him that, as that's most definitely something that they're already going to do. For her to think that they're not going to prioritize their marriage, that's a bit shocking. He's always going to prioritize their marriage, and he will never make the same mistakes that he has in the past. "Hey, I never want you to think that I'm not going to prioritize our marriage. You and the boys are my priority, and you already know that Gabby." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that, well aware that's the case. "I know." Matt smiled.

Getting up, Matt smiled as he proceeded to make his way over to Gabby; after which, he put his hand on her neck and bent down so that he can kiss her softly. Just taking things nice and slow with the woman of his dreams, Matt smirked due to the fact that he's really happy. "I love you Gabby, and I think that you already know that." Gabby agreed with Matt when he told her that, well aware that's the case. "Hey, of course I know that baby." Matt smirked as he bent down and proceeded to kiss her again, after which he pulled away so that he can go sit down again; walking over to his chair afterwards, Matt smirked due to the fact that the woman he loves looks absolutely beautiful. And Gabby knows that very much, as she just loves looking at her husband. "I swear, you're going to have sex with me at some point today." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, as he's very interested in doing that; even though they had a bunch of fun the night before. "Okay, I want to bring up last night first." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smirking at her.

"That was incredible, and so damn hot. I am so glad that you did that for me." Matt just smirked when he heard Gabby say that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, I am so glad that we did it too; and the truth is, there's nothing like the feeling of you under me." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that. "And you want some more today, don't you?" Matt shrugged. "I'm leaving it up to you, because you're the one that has to control this." Gabby agreed with Matt when he said that, smiling at her loving husband; after which, she just went to take another sip of her drink. At the same time, Andy curled up at her feet. Looking down at him, Gabby smiled due to the fact that she knows that Andy loves to lay down at her feet. "I swear, he seems to love me more than you at times." Matt shook his head when Gabby said that, as he knows that isn't true. "Oh, we both know that isn't the truth. Last time I checked, I'm his handler; and I'm also the only one who has the ability to give him treats." Gabby bit her lip as she heard Matt say that. "I might do it sometimes."

Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that, before shaking her head. "Gabby, you know what the trainer said. You know that I'm the only one that can do that, because I'm his handler." Gabby agreed with her husband when he said that, before taking a breath. "I'm sorry." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that's the case. "I know." Sighing, Matt decided to think about what he was going to say; and that was that he's okay with it, and that she doesn't need to feel sorry. At the end of the day, she's his wife; and she's also the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world, who just so happens to also be the mother of his children. "It's okay Gabby, I promise. I forgive you and shouldn't be mad. I know that this is all still new, and we're going to have to go through this again." Gabby was confused when she heard Matt say that. "Wait, you think that I'm going to do this again?" Matt was taken aback when he heard Gabby say that, as that was not what he meant whatsoever. Rather, he was talking about the boys.

"Oh no, I'm not talking about you baby. Please, I hope you know that. I'm talking about the boys, and then our third child there." Looking down, Gabby smiled as she put her hand on her stomach and rubbed it. "Yeah, I guess I need to think about that." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife when she said that. After which, he went ahead and took another sip of his drink. "How do you think that Andy is going to be with the kids when they get older?" Matt smiled when Gabby asked him that. "I think that they're going to do amazing with him. Don't you?" Smiling at the man she loves, Gabby agreed with Matt. "Oh, I believe the same thing. There's just something about the way that the boys act, that make me think that they're going to be great with Andy; and in return, Andy is going to be great with the boys and our future child." Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, before taking a breath as he's always wanted to ask her a question…one that was currently on his mind. "Just curious, were you ever worried when we first got Andy?"

Gabby's POV:
Looking at Matt as he asked me whether I was ever worried when we first got Andy, I was confused as to what he meant by that. "What do you mean Matt?" Matt sighed when I asked him that I meant by that. "I mean it when it came to us getting a service dog in the first place. Where you worried about it when it comes to the boys? Did you think that he would ever…" I was shocked that Matt even thought that way. "God, no Matt. Please, don't even go down that rabbit hole. We both know that isn't something that you need to worry about." Matt agreed with me as I said that. "Plus, I already covered that with the trainer before we got him; I told him that we were going to have a bunch of kids, and I wanted him to make sure that he was trained to be good with kids." Matt smiled when I said that, agreeing with me. "Well, that's most definitely something that I'm glad that you did." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, just smiling at the man I love more than anything in the entire world. "Baby, did you really think that I would've have done that?"

Thinking about it, Matt shook his head as he looked at me. "God, I love you so much." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, just smiling at my loving husband. "I swear, this really is nice; the both of us talking with each other, and just laughing." Matt smiled when I said that, agreeing with me. "I'm glad that we're back in this place. I know that things were hard before you left last May, and I know that it took us a while to get back to this place." I agreed with Matt when he told me that, as I was well aware of the fact that it took us a while to get to the place we're at right now. And that's exactly where we're at right now, which is in a much better place. "Oh, I'm so happy that we're in this place. But another place that I'm glad that we're here on the beach, in Malibu." Turning my head, I smiled as we have such a great view of the ocean from here. "I have to say, I love being right by the ocean." Matt agreed with me when I said that. "I think that the best thing we ever did, was move away from Chicago. It helped our marriage so much." I agreed with Matt.

Smirking a bit, I'm just so happy over the fact that this is something that I've always wanted. Just to be happy with each other, and laughing. "I like that fact too, and there's something that I really like about being here." Matt smiled. "I think it's due to the fact that we have no baggage here. California is a clean slate for us, and I regret not doing this earlier. It's really what we needed." I agreed with Matt. "I have to say this Matt. I can already tell that being here has done a lot of good for you, because it got you out of Chicago. I know in the past you said that it was your home. But the truth is, you could never really call Chicago home after everything you've been through over the years." Matt agreed with his wife when she said that, well aware that's the case. "Yeah, I know what you mean." He then took a breath, continuing to look at me; that was, until he turned to look at the ocean. The reason? He's still thinking about those words he said before I left to go to Puerto Rico. Those words that he regrets saying each and every day.

"You're thinking about what you said to me before I left to go to Puerto Rico, aren't you baby?" Matt sighed as I asked him that because he was most definitely thinking about that. "Yeah, it still haunts me." I nodded, agreeing with Matt as he told me that; after all, it does still haunt me too. "We did talk about it on the road trip, but do you want to revisit it?" Matt sighed when I asked him whether he wanted to revisit it, and I could tell that he was on the fence about whether he wanted to revisit the conversation. "You're on the fence, aren't you?" Matt sighed as I asked him that. "Let's get home, then we can talk about it if you want. Or if you don't, then we can just relax in bed. I'm leaving it up to you Matt." Matt agreed with me as I said that, before proceeding to get up so that we can make our way home together; after which, he walked over to me to help me up. Smiling as he did that, I grabbed his hand and then got close to him. Wrapping my arm around him, I proceeded to look up at the man I love more than anything in the entire world.

At the same time, Matt wrapped his arm around me and smirked due to the fact that this is perfect. "I love you." I agreed with Matt as he told me that, smiling due to the fact that I love him too. "I love you too." Matt smiled as I said that, before kissing my forehead softly. After which, he made his way back over to Andy. Bending down, he went to grab his leach and smiled at our pup. "C'mon Andy, let's go home." I agreed with Matt when he said that, before smiling as we both got close to each other. After which, I wrapped my arm around his back as we walked home together this morning.
