Third person pov
It has been six years. Six years since the last queen died, six years since princess Addison was taken, six years of searching for the missing princess and Ras Al Gaul for revenge for killing their queen. The king has accepted the four boys as his wards, only because he lost his queen. Within those six years, Jason has kept his promise to his mistress. He has kept all the five children of Talia Al Gaul safe from threats. In the process he has also kept Arthur and Merlin safe. Those threats are usually from disgruntled magic users angry at the king for killing so many of their kind.
Over the past years, the king has knighted Jason. The king doesn't appreciate the fact he is not of noble blood, but he did to better protect his daughter. Jason has become one the best knights in the kings arm. A year ago, the Lady Morgana, at 13? summers, came to live in Camelot due to her father and mother being killed. Currently, at 14 summers, Lady Morgana has come better accustomed to seeing four black haired boys, one blonde girl, and a lumbering dark haired man with a streak of white in his hair chasing after the five children.
For once, Jason is not chasing the five down the corridors of Camelot. Today is Ruby's 6th birthday. The celebration of her birth is always celebrated one day after. The king was sure to grant Jason a day off once a year, on this day. The king was under the impression that the young man saw his mistress as a mother. The king is fully aware that this day is very painful for Jason, as well for his entire family, and kingdom. Although, the five wards and one princess are unware what makes this day so painful to the kingdom. No one has told them. The only ward who may possibly have a chance to know is the Lady Morgana.
Sir Jason is walking down the corridor containing the two princes. Today, Jason is silent, head hung low. Typically, Jason is loud, lets his presence take up the entire room. Not today. Today is the day where he failed. Failed to save his queen, failed to save a princess, his daughter, from Ras Al Gaul. Sir Jason doesn't realize that he is being watched.
"Sir Jason" Jason flinched at his title, it still feels foreign to him, except from the king's mouth. Jason glanced over his shoulder to see who had called him. Prince Arthur stood in his doorway, arms crossed, an expression of annoyance on his face. However, that is not Arthur truly felt. He felt sympathy for the man. Arthur also clearly remembered that night. Arthur wanted to know what had been kept from him for the past six years. He knew today, while it was not best to have this talk, he knew it was his only opportunity. "Will you come in Jason"
"Arthur, this is my day off" Jason said, with no real emotion in his voice. Jason, now 22 summers, had grown to be taller than most of the knights. Over six foot, the man is a giant.
"I know. This is the only opportunity I will get to talk with you freely for a year." Arthur challenged.
Sighing, Jason lumbered over to the prince. Arthur gestured for the knight to come in. The room was three times larger than Jason's. In the middle sat his four-poster bed, red curtains drawn. The left held his desk, with a window behind it. To the right, the prince's bathing and changing areas. Arthur gestured to the chair in front of his desk. Jason sat as the prince locked his door. He didn't want his manservant, Adam, to come and bother them.
Jason stared at his shoes, waiting for whatever the prince wanted. Arthur sees Jason as a elder brother. Jason couldn't take the impending weight from the prince's shoulders of becoming crown prince and eventually king, but he took the weight of constantly protecting his siblings. He took the weight of always acting perfect off. He took all the severe punishments inflected by his father for Arthur, Merlin, Ruby, Damian, Daniel, Dean and David. He even took Morgana's punishments when she came. He took it all. Jason never shared anything before meeting his mistress. Jason never let his emotions show. Leon looked up to him, Jason basically became Leon's adopted father. Leon always looked to his mentor for guidance. Arthur was becoming concerned for the man in front of him. Jason only showed how far gone he was on this day.
The prince sighed, rubbing the back of neck. "Jason" Jason looked up at the prince before him. Arthur saw all the pain, self-hatred, grief the man was hiding. "I know something is wrong. Don't say 'I'm fine' or 'It's only because of today'. I know that it is deeper. Please.. is there anything I can help with to fix it?"
Jason, looked back at the floor. "Not unless you know how to turn back time, yet still keep things relatively the same."
"No. Merlin might" The prince said with an air of apprehension.
"I am joking." Arthur knew though, that is exactly what the man wanted.
"Why do want to go back? Don't just say because of Addison, or Lady Talia. It was there before that ever happened."
Jason hesitated. He was unsure if he should tell the prince of his past. The closest he ever talked about his past was when he cursed Slade out for being an absent and horrible father.
Arthur pressed, "Did.. did you have a family?"
Jason laughed harshly. "Of course I had a family."
Arthur should have figured as much. But the man never talked of his past. The closest he had heard was that night six years ago, and comparing certain people to 'Dick' or 'Roy'. He never had gotten anything further out of the man. "Can you please enlighten me? Before you met Talia, where did you live?"
Jason sighed. This is going to be a long night.
Current setting: The woods near a small village in Cedric's kingdom. (Not Elador)

Third person
Dick managed to escape the clutches of Ras Al Gaul with a small girl, about three months ago. She had no true name, instead she was called 'child' by Ras. Dick had met her six months ago. The escaped for four days. In those few days, he had named her Abigail. He saw a necklace placed on her neck, an 'A' was engraved. He figured that her original name began with an 'a' so it would be best to keep it the same, to hopefully to remember her past one day. Her hair and eyes really reminded Dick of Jason. He could defiantly see Talia in the young girl. (so you know, the streak in Jason's hair was caused from coming back to life. Dick never saw him with the white in his hair.)
They were captured again. Dick suffered for trying to save her, but she suffered worse. Ras took her sight, replacing it with a curse. She could see like an owl, using sounds for it to better guide her hearing. She also received the ability to scream so loud that she could render people temporarily deaf.
When Dick managed to rescue Abigail, three months ago, he promised that he would take care of her. That they would go to his home.
Dick stumbled, exhausted. Abigail was by his side. A few weeks ago, Dick saw she had magic. 'How he the bad man (this is their code word for Ras) not use your magic?' He knew that Ras had managed to control her like a foot solider following orders without contest. Dick had unfortunately had been present several times to see this occur. Ras made sure to wake her up from the spell every time, for her to endure emotional punishment. Abigail responded in a quite voice, 'It was the only thing, besides my voice, that could resist him. I made sure he didn't use my magic as a weapon.'
Dick held onto a tree for support. He couldn't tell where he was. To him, in his current state, it was just woods. He didn't see the initials 'D.G.W. and B.G.' in a heart carved in the next tree. Abigail did however. She released Dick's hand to touch it.
"Dick." Abigail called her protector, her brother, over.
She may not understand what mother and father meant. But she understand what brother and sister meant. Mara, technically her cousin, was her sister. The bad man made Abigail kill her. Mara was the only person other than Dick who had cared for her. After she was forced to kill Mara, the streak of white in her hair became wider. Now there are two inches of white hair covering her face. When Dick saw this he was stunned, but he also immediately understood why she had the white in her hair. It was to atone for those who had loved her. Those who had died.
Dick rose his head to see his little sister. "What is it Ab's"
"What is this?" Abigail is unable to read. Dick, decides he should work on her recognizing letters once they are safe.
Dick stumbles to the next tree, and runs his hand over the worn carving. D.G.W. was his initials. Dick Grayson Wayne. B.G. was his love Barbra Gordon. His eyes widen as he see the carving, a large smile brakes onto his face.
"We're almost home." Dick whispers, then he says it louder. "We're almost home!"
"How do you know?" Abigail questioned.
"Me and a friend carved this years ago. We are not far from my village." Abigail's eyes went wide in shock. She had heard about his village for three months, now they were almost there. "Come on Abby, we are nearly there"
Dick's pace quickened. He may of been exhausted, but that did not deter him now. He could rest soon. Soon the pair of them reached the edge of a clearing.
"Home" Dick whispered. He could see the hearth (village's central fire). A few figures were gathered around it. His people were hunters, gathers, and farmers. It makes since if a few were about to hunt, but at this hour? Dick stumbled forward, having to use Abigail as a support. They reached a smaller house. It was one of the smaller houses in the village. It belonged to the Kent's. Dick wanted to make it to the hearth. The pair made their way to the hearth, one of the young men came around, with an arrow in hand. Dick could see that this man had bright red hair, a quiver and bow on his back. Tall, muscular, defensive. Dick grinned wider. "Roy"
With that Dick collapsed on the ground, Abigail was crushed beneath him. Roy ran over, his siblings in toe. The three were preparing for an early morning hunt. Roy put his arrow away, turning the black haired man over. Roy didn't have much of a chance to see who was approaching them. Before the man collapsed, all he saw a tall man with dark hair, and a little girl with dark hair with white in it supporting him. He had heard the man say his name before collapsing on top of the girl.
When Roy saw the young man's face he gasped. Dick. Roy didn't recognize the girl, but she had passed out as well clearly exhausted. Roy turned to his sister, Artemis. "Arty, wake up Bruce. Make sure you wake up Alfred as well. Conner stay with me. Check on the girl." They both nodded, then Artemis ran off to the large Wayne house. Conner knelt before the girl, turning her over.
All three of the Q siblings knew it was going to be a long few days.
