Chapter 233: Go-Kart, and Race it...
(May 13. The Royal Woods Go-Kart Track. Royal Woods, Michigan.)
Folks are gathered here, and even Katherine Mulligan who is doing this for the news, and Amanda Bright who is at her day off and wants to help support Lana Loud, and to also try and make this into an article on the true meaning of Go-Kart racing, through handmade and hardworking measures, Michelle Lewis informed her of this. Everyone is here, to see who will win this special and awesome Go-Kart event.
Lana is pulling her Go-Kart, while Lola, and Lincoln push it, and they arrive to their spot. "Guys, thanks for helping me, and also supporting me." She can see the others at the side, and cheering her on, and Lynn has a banner that says. "You can win it Lana!"
Seeing this gives her confidence. Lincoln then speaks. "We know that you are gonna win this one, it's obvious."
"And the spotlight will be on both of us, and yet you need to be in it more" replied Lola. "I am in this, to support my twin, and also see to it that victory is assured."
"Sure, whatever." They see who said that, and it is Poppa Wheelie, and with him is Flat Tire. "You're Go-Kart isn't gonna win, because mine will and then I'll be able to ride in Fletcher's Racecar, and the rest of you chums will be on the sidelines." Flat Tire is confused, he didn't say 'we.'
Lola is about to lose it, but Lincoln intervenes. "Leave them alone, Walter. Also, I doubt you're gonna win after Lana turns this engine in the Kart on, and we helped make this Go-Kart possible, and the right way, and not some lazy buy at the mall way, because that's for slackers and cheaters."
Lynn yells. "Oh snap!"
Lori chuckles. "He literally just said that."
Lana then speaks. "Also, we are aware of the rules and terms of how this race is supposed to be, after all it was online and doing research is the best thing to do before doing something stupid, try and learn to study next time, bully."
Poppa Wheelie scoffs, and he goes back to his Kart, Flat Tire looks to them. "To be honest, that is one cool hand-made ride, and good luck to ya guys." He then goes back to his friend, and the monster truck themed Go-Kart which they bought, with Flat Tire's cash.
But Poppa Wheelie is confused. 'What the heck did they mean by the rules?!'
Lincoln then looks to the twins. "Remember to have fun, ignore what the others say. I can see that every kid here hasn't even bothered to know the rules and stuff, and are just desperate. But you Lana, you did the right thing, and this is gonna be one sure fire and fair win."
Lana nods, and they watch as Lincoln goes back with the others. Luna is proud at the advice that Lincoln said to them, and that he stood up for his little sisters, and so the twins get into the Kart, and also Hops and they get ready, and then they see her, the legendary racecar driver Bobbie Fletcher. Seeing her, makes Lana have stars in her eyes.
"Alright, looks like everyone here is..." she looks closely, and Bobbie Fletcher can easily make out and see which is bought and hand made, and she sees only one is and she didn't like this, but the race has to go on. "Ready, so let's get this race started. On your marks, get set and go!"
She fires the flare, and it blows up into the sky with some jets flying by, and the Go-Karts are off, and though Lola and Lana were at the back, they are moving ahead. "We are nailing this!" cheered Lola, and the louds all cheer for her.
Even the McBride's are here, cheering them on, and also: Stella, Liam, Zach, Rusty, Lynn's team and friends, Lori's friends, Leni's friends, Lola and Lana's friends. Skippy wanted to compete, but he is not there and is at home with a cast on his left leg, bike crash accident.
As the Go-Karts make a turn, and leave the track and follow the path at the road, Poppa Wheelie and the others try to cheat at each other. One of them deploys an oil slick, sending two others off course, and being last.
Poppa Wheelie throws a bucket, and it hits the ground and has thumbtacks, and blows the tires from some racers, and they need to change their tires, Flat Tire sees this and he doesn't like this. But, he doesn't seem to have a choice, Lola sees what is happening behind. "Lana, dirty players catching up. Also, I think the McCauley kids are done, and need some help."
"On it!" Lana pulls back, and she helps the McCauley kids, after their Kart crashed on a tree, and Lola also helps. Camera drones see everything, and the racers are unaware about that one, and some of the folks look to the parents of Poppa Wheelie and Flat Tire, they are so screwed and Bobbie Fletcher also sees this and doesn't like this one bit.
After helping the McCauley kids, they all get back on the race and they keep an eye out for some dirty players, and cheaters. Lana sighs. 'What matters is that we help those who didn't deserve to get held back, those who aren't cheating, but the rest... There is no victory for cheaters, and even if we don't win, what truly matters is that we tried and had fun.'
They pass by multiple sharp turns, and evade another Go-Kart which deployed some smoke, but Lana manages to stop this by spinning her Kart around, to also help the others at the back not get blinded and crash, and they overtake the cheating Kart.
Lana and Lola, and the other racers see Poppa Wheelie and Flat Tire are in front, and Lana doesn't speed up and soon, Poppa Wheelie's Kart makes it. "Yes, I did it!" But nobody is cheering, but when Lana, Lola and the others arrive, they all cheer for them.
The Kart in the back loses control when its engine breaks down from using the smoke screen, and they don't even make it to the finish line. Poppa Wheelie is confused. "What the heck?! Hey, we won! Why wasn't anyone cheering for us?"
"Because, you cheated and same with the other team. You are disqualified from the race." Bobbie Fletcher uses the remote, and everyone sees the replay on screen. "Also, five Kart's are officially disqualified for not following the rules, which states for handmade Karts and no Karts that have been bought completed and not built by the racers, and the only ones who made their own Karts, are the Louds and the McCauley's. But, since the Loud's came before the McCauley's, they win the race!"
Everyone cheers from this, Poppa Wheelie throws his helmet to the ground and he leaves, and with Flat Tire following feeling ashamed at what they did.
Bobbie Fletcher then goes to the twins. "What you two did, was awesome and truly honorable. Nice work you two, especially the driver."
Lola then speaks. "Lana was the one who had the plan to help others."
Bobbie Fletcher nods, and she looks to Lana. "Lana, this is for you." She hands her a pass and ticket, and same with the McCauley's. "I look forward to seeing both you're families at my next race, on June 10 here in Royal Woods."
Now this is a total surprise for them, and they cheer and hug each other, and the rest of their family goes over, and congratulates them. This is a victory that Lana Loud, will truly never ever forget.
A/N: And there we go, which means on June 10 is the big race where the Louds and McCauley's will attend, but I do believe some surprises will come soon on that one, we're not sure yet. I hope that you all enjoyed reading this newly posted chapter guys.
