Chapter One Hundred and Eleven
Comforting and Talking

'If you go to the hospital, send our apologies to Alex and Jay. We can't go.'

That was the message that she had to send to her brother, as she knew that he was still going to go to the hospital; even if she and Matt weren't going to support them, because they just couldn't go there. Well, Matt couldn't go there. It would be too hard for him to be there, too stressful for him to be there; and it would be very taxing on his PTSD, which is something that she most definitely doesn't want. In fact, Gabby has even spoken to their mothers; she explained to them what happened, and how Matt is having some trouble with his PTSD. And the moment they heard that, they both knew what Gabby was asking them to do; and that was continuing to take care of Matteo and Noah for a while, for an undetermined amount of time. She didn't even need to ask them to do that, they just knew; they knew that, in these times, Gabby had to be alone with Matt. Matt needed to be alone with the woman he loves, so that she can give him the comfort that he wants to have from her. And luckily for Matt, that's exactly what Gabby plans on doing now.

She plans on joining him in bed, and comforting him as they talk; but first, she needed to do something else for him. She needed to keep the promise that she made for him, about something that she was going to wear when they got back from the hospital. And that would be to wear her lingerie, in the hopes of getting him to open up to her, because that's what he needs to do right now. He needs to open up to her, so that she can help him get through this hard time. After all, she can already see that he's struggling with something right now; and it breaks her heart to see what this is doing to Matt, and that she didn't have the ability to see it before it happened. But now, that was no longer the case; as she was here, and she was going to do whatever she can to make sure that they talked to each other…and that she gave him whatever he needed to feel better. And that was exactly what she planned on doing, as she wore some sexy lingerie for him; lingerie that she was certain will entice him to do something for her in return, as he needs to.

And that would be to get changed out of the clothes that he planned on wearing to the hospital, as she knew that they can't be comfortable as he sat in bed right now. I mean sure, does he look handsome in the clothes that he was wearing right now? Of course, he did, because he always looks handsome in whatever clothes he wears. But that didn't mean that it was comfortable, because wearing jeans in bed can never be comfortable; and that was why she was going to make sure that he was going to get changed, that he was going to strip down so that they could relax in each other's arms. Just making her way over to the man she loves on his side of the bed, Gabby took a breath as she looked at him; after which, she put her hand on the side of his head and looked at the man she loves. Feeling Gabby put her hand on the side of his head, Matt came to and started to concentrate on her; at the same time, he turned his head and looked up at the woman he loves (while also continuing to scratch the top of Andy's head, who was there).

He was always there, by Matt's side, in times where he needs him; and this most definitely was one of those times, as he had a lot on his mind at the moment. Things that were making his mind run, as that was always what happened when he started to have PTSD; but at least he was getting a bit of a distraction right now, which was exactly what Gabby wanted to happen. She wanted her lingerie to distract him a bit, and it was working. "Oh." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, well aware that he liked the sight of the lingerie that she was wearing for him; after which, she bent down and proceeded to kiss him softly. Taking things nice and slow with the man she loves, Gabby smiled as she was happy to be here with the man she loves. "You okay?" Matt sighed as he looked at Gabby. "I just feel bad that we're disappointing Jay and Alex, because we can…" Gabby shook his head as she heard Matt say that, as she doesn't want him to force himself to do anything that he doesn't want to. "Antonio's going to go for us." Matt took a breath and felt bad.

"I feel bad that I can't go." Gabby sighed as she heard Matt say that, as that most definitely isn't something that she wants him to feel. "I don't want you to feel that way baby, and please take a breath for me." Matt agreed with his wife as she said that, before watching as Gabby proceeded to walk around their bed; that way, she could get in bed with him. At the same time, Gabby looked at her dreamy husband. "Well listen, I don't know what you think we're going to do; but I know that I want to give you some comfort. And as you can see, I am wearing some lingerie for you right now; so, I'm not sure…" Matt snickered a bit as he heard Gabby say that. "What about the kids?" Gabby sighed. "I already filled our moms in on what's happening, and they're going to take care of the boys; and Antonio is going to do the same when he comes back from the hospital. So, we can take it easy and just relax together." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, while watching her get in bed next to him; at the same time, Matt proceeded to get out of bed.

"So, you want me to get undressed?" Gabby agreed with Matt as he asked her whether she wants him to get undressed, and she does; and there's a reason for that, as she believes that it will allow him to relax much easier. "I think that it'll help you relax much easier." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, as he feels the same way; after all, he does always get nice and comfortable when he's just wearing his boxers. "Oh, and don't lie and say that you don't want to do it for the simple fact that you love it when I'm clad in nothing but my boxers." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, as that most definitely is the case. "What do you think? I love the fact that we're going to cuddle up to each other, because it means that we get to take it easy; and it also means that I'm going to be able to give you some comfort." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. After all, there's nothing like the two of them cuddling up to each other in. "Listen, how about you get up and go get changed? Then we can talk to each other here?"

Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was something that he's going to do for the most beautiful woman in the entire world; and it's something that he wants to do as well, as it's always really comfortable. "Give me a minute okay? And then I'll get undressed for you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was something that he was going to do for her. Watching as he got up, Gabby just smiled. "Maybe go take some of your anxiety meds too baby? I think that might help. You know the ones I'm talking about right? The emergency meds that you doctor prescribed you, for times where you need to calm down?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, as that was something that he needed to do right now. "Yeah, I think I'll do that." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that he'll do it for her. "Thanks baby." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby tell him that, as he most definitely does want to do it. He wants to go take some medicine so that he can relax today with the woman he loves.

Coming back out of the washroom carrying his clothes in his hands, Matt took a breath shortly after taking the medication that he was able to take to relax; and while it doesn't work immediately, he knew that it was going to work eventually. And that was all that mattered at the end of the day. But there was one thing that was going to work, and that was his beautiful wife, which is something that always works. Him holding the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world in his arms will always help him, and that's something that Gabby knows. "Well, I like the sight of this." Looking up at her husband, Gabby laughed as she just finished typing a text message to Alex. "Sorry, I'm just typing a text message. I'm going to send it after you get in bed." Matt was confused as he heard Gabby say that. "Who are you going to be sending a text to?" Gabby sighed as she looked at the man she loves. "Alex." Matt sighed as he heard Gabby tell him that, before walking into his closet. "Want to talk about it when I'm in bed with you?" Gabby bit her lip.

"I mean, I don't want to force you baby. You need to relax and just take it easy. I mean that." Matt shook his head as he heard Gabby tell him that. "No, this is something that we need to do right now; we need to talk, and just take it easy with each other." Looking at his beautiful wife as she said that, Matt smiled due to the fact that this really is something that he appreciates. "Did I ever tell you that you're the love of my life?" Gabby smiled as she heard Matt tell her that, as she most definitely knows that he loves her. "Hey, of course I know that baby. I mean that." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, as she truly is the love of his life. Just going to hang up his clothes, Matt then turned around and smiled as he went ahead and adjusted his boxers. Smirking as Matt did that, Gabby couldn't help but get turned on a bit when he did that. "Oh god, that was hot; but I hope you know that you're not getting anything mister." Matt snickered as he heard Gabby say that, before making his way back over to bed so that he can cuddle up to his beautiful wife.

"I hope you know that I appreciate you being here, alone with me." Gabby was a bit taken aback when she heard Matt say that, as she was shocked that he even thought that she wouldn't be here; especially when it's where he needs her to be. "Hey, don't even think that way baby. Matt, I love you; and you're the man I love you more than anything in the entire world, and that means that I will always be here with you if you need me to be here." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. After which, Matt smiled as he made his way over to her in their bed. Opening the covers, Matt smirked as he got ready to join the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world in bed. Climbing into bed with her this afternoon, Matt smirked as he crawled over to the woman he loves; and the woman he wants to spend some time with right now. Just cuddling up to his girl, Matt smiled as he tugged the covers up on top of the both of them right now; which is everything that they both want to do right now.

They just want to hold each other close, and they want to relax together. And there's nothing like the feeling of the two of them holding each other close, because it's something that they need to do with each other right now; they need to hold each other close, and they need to make sure that they just take it easy (as they relax in bed right now). And boy is Gabby glad that they can cuddle up to each other. Moving to wrap his arm around Gabby as soon as he was close to her, Matt smiled as he looked at the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world; but before they could cuddle up to each other properly, Gabby had to roll over and set her phone down on her side table. And let's just say that was something that Matt loved, as it gave him a chance to do something else; get close to her. Wrapping his arms around her body as soon as Gabby laid down on her side, Matt smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and just held her back against his chest. Laughing as Matt did that, Gabby put her hand on his arms and held him close to her.

"Sorry if I scared you down there." Rolling over in Matt's arms, Gabby was shocked as she heard him way that; after all, he has no reason to apologize, especially since she wasn't scared. "What do you mean baby? How did you scare me?" Matt sighed as Gabby asked him how he scared her, because he knew that she was a very brave woman; so maybe he didn't scare her, but he still feels like he needs to apologize for doing this to her. "I'm sorry because I made you think that it would happen again, all of the risks." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, as that's not something that he needs to apologize to her about; especially not when she's read the same things, and because she's seen it in the ambulance. Taking a breath, Gabby made sure that Matt was laying down. "Here, lay down on your side and I'll get close to you." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before doing as she told him to do; he laid down on her side, so that she can get close (and cuddle up) to him this afternoon (which is what he wants).

Getting close to the man she loves, Gabby smiled as she put her hand on his muscular chest while looking into his beautiful eyes; after which, Gabby leaned in and proceeded to kiss him softly. Smiling as Gabby did that, Matt put his hand on Gabby's (while feeling her slip her legs in between his); after all, he loves being close to the woman he loves…and just taking it easy with her. And that's exactly what he's in the midst of doing with his girl, as they held each other close to one another in bed. And there really is nothing like the two of them doing this in bed with each other. "God, I love holding you close to me like this." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case. "I know what you mean, and I'm glad that we're holding each other too." Matt smiled as he heard Gabby say that, especially since she's the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "And I appreciate that you decided to stay here with me, rather than go to the hospital to support our friends." Gabby shook her head. "Hey, look at me baby."

Doing just that, Matt looked into Gabby's beautiful eyes. "Remind me who I'm married to?"

Matt was confused as he heard Gabby ask him to remind her who she's married to, as he didn't get what she meant by that. I mean, of course she knows that he's married to him; and that's what's puzzling him right now. So, he's going to have to talk to her about that. "Okay, what in the world are you talking about?" Gabby took a breath as she heard Matt ask her that, well aware that he was confused. "Matt, I know that you're my husband; and that wasn't what I meant baby. Just take a breath." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Matt, what I was trying to remind you is that I'm your wife; and that means that I want to be here with you, and not at the hospital. Could I be at the hospital right now? Of course, I could. But that's not where I want to be right now. I want to be here, with the man that I love; doing what I need to do as his wife. And that's comfort him. Baby, you need me here with you right now. And that will always be the case." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that.

After which, he smiled as he leaned in and proceeded to kiss her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt smirked due to the fact that this just what he needs right now; and that's because it gives him a bunch of comfort. After which, Matt put his hand on Gabby's arm as he stroked it with his thumb. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before smirking as she put her hand on his muscular chest. "And I love you too Matt, forever. I will always love you, and that's just a fact that you never need to worry about." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, well aware that was the case. "I am so glad that's something that I never need to worry about, because it's also something that you never need to worry about; and I'm sorry I got you all stressed out." Gabby shook her head as she heard Matt say that, as she most definitely doesn't need him to apologize. "Hey, take it easy baby and just relax. You have no reason to apologize to me. It's all good now." Matt agreed with his beautiful wife.

Matt's POV:
As I continued to hold Gabby in my arms today, I couldn't help but smirk due to the fact that this really is something that I'm happy about; after all, this is what our original plan was. It was that we were going to just hold each other close, and take it easy with each other. "Do you regret not just continuing with our plans? And staying at the hotel?" Gabby shook her head as I asked her whether she regrets not continuing with our plan, as that's definitely not something that she wants to think about. "No, because I think that we did the right thing; wait, is that how you feel?" I smiled at Gabby when she said that. "There are times that I do wish we stayed there, but I'm glad that we have our bed back; and that's because it's so comfortable." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, smiling due to the fact that this is really comfortable right now; the way we're holding each other close is always something that I enjoy right now. I'm happy that we're in each other's arms, and I'm just ready to take it easy with the woman I love for the rest of the day.

"Do you want to lay down on my chest, cuddle up to me for a while?" Gabby smiled as I asked her whether she wanted to cuddle up to me for a while, because I know that was something that she already wanted to do; I mean, I do know my wife better than anybody in the entire world. Rolling over onto my back to get the process started as soon as possible, I smiled when I felt Gabby crawl over to me and lay down on my chest; after which, I wrapped my arm around her and put my hand on her back. Grabbing the covers shortly afterwards, Gabby smiled as she tugged them up on top of the both of us. "Can we talk about those worries too Matt? You know the ones that I'm talking about? Because we both know that was the real reason that you ran in here, because you were scared; and I don't just want to skim over it, when you need to talk to me about it." I agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Yeah, I know." Gabby sighed as she turned her head and then bent down to kiss my chest softly. "Can we first talk about your opinion on this?"

Looking down at Gabby when she asked me that, I was confused. "What are you talking about baby?" Gabby sighed as I asked her that. "I'm talking about whether you're not changing your mind, or if you are; because I understand if you are changing your mind, and I just want honesty." I agreed with Gabby as she said that, before feeling her put her hand on my chest. After which, I put my hand on hers and just held her close. "Hey, I want you to listen to me; I am not going to change my mind when it comes to us having a baby, because that's something that we're going to have. We're going to have our daughter, and I can't wait to meet her. I just don't think I was ready to see that again, not when it's PTSD related." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, well aware that was the case. After which, I ran my hand up and down her back; I then decided to run my fingers up and down her back, which was something that she really likes the feeling of. "Thanks for doing that." I agreed with Gabby when she said that, smiling as this was what I needed.

"I know, it's what I need right now; I just need to hold you close, and I need to relax with you." Gabby agreed with me when I said that, well aware that was the case. "Hey, of course baby. I know that this is what you need, which is why I'm here with you right now. It's why I'm here, and why I'm going to cuddle up to you as we hold each other close." I agreed with my beautiful wife as she said that, before turning my head and kissing her forehead softly; after which, I smiled as I held her close to me. And let's just say that I am very comfortable with the woman I love more than anything in the entire world. Kissing her forehead, I just smiled due to the fact that this is something that I want to doo. Taking a breath, I looked at Gabby. "Maybe we can go tomorrow. I'm just not ready today." Gabby shook her head. "No, we don't have to go baby. Let's just wait until they're better, okay?" I agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was something that they can do. "Yeah, I like that idea." Gabby smiled as she kissed my chest once again.

Running my finger down her back, I smiled as I turned my head and just held her close to me. And let's just say that this is exactly what I need to do with her right now. I need to hold the woman I love more than anything in the entire world close to me, and I need to relax right now; we need to just relax, and we need to make sure that we're both okay. "I like that we're holding each other close right now, because it's really comfortable." Gabby agreed with me as I said that, before smiling as she cuddled up to me some more. "By the way, I promise that I will always be here for you; I don't need to go anywhere right now, and the boys can be brought to us." I smiled as I heard Gabby tell me that, as I'm really happy right now. "I swear, how did I get so lucky in having you as my wife?" Gabby agreed with me as I said that, smiling as she was very comfortable right now. "God, I am so comfortable right now; just holding you close to me is perfect." I agreed with Gabby as she told me that, as I feel the same way. "I feel the same way. But god, I want to have you in bed."

Gabby shook her head as she heard me say that I want her in bed, but that most definitely isn't going to happen. "We aren't doing it, not when we need to wait for good news from out friends; because that's something else that I asked my brother to do, to let us know what was going on at the hospital when he got news. And if it was good news, then I wanted to know as soon as possible." I agreed with Gabby as she said that, as that most definitely is something that I like the sound of. "I like that." Gabby agreed with me, and just smiled as we both held each other close right now. And god, there's nothing like the feeling of us holding each other close; but still, that didn't mean that we didn't still have to talk. "Gabby, can we talk about something? Something that I mentioned outside?" Gabby took a breath as I asked her that, well aware of what I was talking about. "You mean the possibilities that our baby girl is born with low birth weight?" I took a breath when Gabby asked me that, as that was something that I wanted to talk about. "Yeah…"

To say that the possibility of their daughter being born with a low birth weight wasn't on Gabby's mind too would be an understatement (and a lie), because she does know that is a possibility; I mean, she is a paramedic. And she knows what the risks are of having another baby so soon after having given birth, especially when you just gave birth to twins. "Do you think that it's going to happen?" Gabby sighed as Matt asked her that, well aware of why he was the one asking that question; and it was due to the fact that she was the one who had the medical expertise, her having been a paramedic (as I just said). But right now, they need to think about the fact that they're okay, and their doctors have told them as much; they have said that their baby girl is okay, and that they don't have anything to worry about (for now). And that's something that they need to remember when it comes to this time where they're worrying about their daughter, as they don't need to worry as long as their doctor says that they don't need to worry about it.

More specifically, as long as Natalie says that they don't need to worry about it; after all, she's been a real help when it comes to just how much Matt has been worrying about all of this. And that's due to the fact that she's a friend of theirs, and she knows that they need to hear the truth; and they need to know what the risks are as they get further into their pregnancy, which happens each and every day. And that's something that the couple like, the fact that each and every day they're one day closer to meeting their daughter; the daughter that they want to meet more than anything in the entire world. And that's why they both know that they don't want to give up on this pregnancy. Rather, they want to keep going as long as possible; and why they need to believe that it won't happen, and that everything will be okay. "Matt, we can't think that way. We need to just take a breath, and we need to relax. This isn't something that we need to worry about right now, because you know what Natalie said."

Matt agreed with Gabby when she said that, well aware of what exactly she was talking about; she was talking about how everything is okay, and how they don't need to worry about anything when it comes to their daughter: because she's okay right now. She's safe, she's healthy; and they're going to meet her in the future. And that really is something that Matt and Gabby are going to love. They're going to love it when they get to meet their daughter, as there's nothing more that the parents want to do, other than meet their daughter; and they want to hold her in their arms. "Listen Matt, how about we do this? Right now, you need to rest; and I think that you need to just take it easy, and you need to relax. So how about you just take a breather? And we can take a nap for a bit, to calm us down." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, very much interested in the two of them taking a nap. "I like that idea." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before stroking his chest; after which, she pushed herself up off his chest and moved to hover on top of him.

Getting close to the man she loves, Gabby smirked as she proceeded to bend down and kiss the man she loves more than anything in the entire world; moving his hand to her neck as she did that, Matt smirked as he started to take things nice and slow with the woman he loves more than anything in the entire world. "I love you." Gabby agreed with Matt as he told her that he loves her, as she feels the same way. "I love you too baby, and I am so glad that this is what we're doing right now. We're holding each other close, and we're just going to take it easy…okay?" Matt agreed with his beautiful wife as she said that, before kissing her again. "I love you so much, now lay down and cuddle up to me." Gabby smiled as she heard Matt say that, before kissing him again. "I love you too." Laying down on his chest, Gabby just cuddled up to him; after which, Matt smiled due to the fact that they're going to just hold each other close. And let's just say that their nap was really nice, especially the dream that Matt ended up having; which was just what Matt needed.
