Chapter One Hundred and Nineteen
Postpartum Time and Office Conversations

"Stella, you know what we already agreed to." Turning her head after hearing her loving husband walk into the living room from their bedroom this morning, Stella smiled as she proceeded to get up so that she could make her way over to him. "Hey, what are you doing down here?" Kelly smiled as he walked over to his beautiful wife, as he wanted to give his beautiful wife a kiss; but that didn't mean that he was going to change his mind about her sticking to the agreement that they made together, that she wouldn't work for a bit as she recovered from giving birth. Okay, maybe other than sketching, because that's not something that he can stop her from doing. But still, that didn't mean that she can talk about work; especially not when that could raise her blood pressure, which he wants to avoid. And truthfully, he was hoping Gabby would help him with. But right now, he was happy with just giving her a kiss; wrapping his arms around her, Kelly smiled as he put his hands on her butt; after which, Stella put her hands on his face and kissed him softly.

"I already asked Gabby's mom to make us some breakfast, and she said yes; I'm sure that she can make some for you too." Severide agreed with Stella as he turned his head, smiling at Camila. "Thanks Ms. Dawson." Camila then turned her head to look at Kelly. "Kelly, I have already told your wife to call me Camila; so, I want you to do the same." Kelly smiled as he looked at the grandmother, before getting close to his wife as he wrapped his arms around her a bit tighter; after which, Stella looked at her husband and just smiled at him. "Thanks for feeding the boys." Kelly agreed with Stella as she said that, smiling due to the fact that she was happy. "Thanks Kelly." Kelly smiled as he leaned in and then kissed her softly, after which he rubbed her backs. "Listen, I need to go talk to Matt." Stella was confused as Kelly told her that. "What are you talking about?" Kelly sighed. "You're the one that needs to rest after giving birth, I don't." Stella just looked at Kelly when he said that, while Kelly sighed. "I'm doing this for Gabby's sake." Gabby just looked at Kelly.

"Oh no, you aren't putting me in this place Mr. Severide, you just want to do this so that…" Kelly sighed. "So that I can take some stress out of your marriage, and therefore your pregnancy. Gabby don't lie and tell me that Matt isn't a bit overwhelmed with everything that he's dealing with. Between you, the boys, the pregnancy, his PTSD, and the business; that's a lot to deal with." Gabby sighed as she heard Kelly say that, as that most definitely is a lot to deal with. "Yes, yes I am." Kelly smiled. "So, I am going to still work with him; and Stella is going to be okay with it, because it's going to help her best friend to keep the business going." Stella sighed as she looked at her husband. "As long as you are still available to help me with the boys…" Kelly agreed with Stella as she said that, before wrapping his arms around her again and kissing her softly; at the same time, Stella put her hands on his chest and just took things nice and slow with the man she loves. "Listen, I brought the baby monitor from our room. How about I give it to you? Then I'll go see Matt."

Stella agreed with Kelly when he said that, before going to grab the baby monitor from his hands; after which, she proceeded to grab his hand. "I love you." Kelly agreed with Stella as she told him that she loves him, well aware that was the case. "I know that." Stella agreed with Kelly as he said that, before smiling as he let her go; after which, he proceeded to walk away so that he could go check on Matt. At the same time, Stella proceeded to sit down on the couch once again. Looking at her best friend, Stella smiled due to the fact that she was really happy. "I swear, you look really happy right now." Gabby agreed with her best friend as she said that, smiling due to the fact that she most certainly was happy; and that was because her life is great. "What can't make me happy? I mean, I'm pregnant with my daughter, I have a great husband, two beautiful children; and just a perfect life." Stella laughed as she heard Gabby say that, as that most definitely is the truth. "Tell me about it. You are so lucky when it comes to the life that you have." Gabby agreed, smiling.

"I just hope you know that it's not all sunshine and roses." Stella got a bit concerned when she heard her best friend say that, as did her mother; looking up at her daughter, Camila sighed. "Is everything okay Gabriela?" Turning around to look at her mother, Gabby smiled. "Oh please, just take it easy and just relax mom. I am not talking about that. I am talking about Matt's PTSD, that's the part that was a bit harder." That's when Gabby heard some paws getting close to her, before whistling. "Come here Andy. Here Andy." Andy then proceeded to make his way over to the boys' chairs. "Andy!" Getting up, Gabby then proceeded to walk over to Andy so that she can get him away from the boys. "Andy, get away from the boys." Gabby then proceeded to push him away. "Go eat breakfast. Go!" Andy then barked at Gabby. "Andy!" Hearing his wife yell at Andy, Matt then yelled for him. "ANDY! Come here boy!" Andy then proceeded to rush away so that he can make his way into Matt's office, while Gabby let out a sigh. "Seriously?"

Stella laughed as she heard Gabby say that, before looking at her best friend. "Gabby, he's his dog last time I checked." Gabby agreed with her best friend as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Oh, trust me, I know that. Every day, he tries to jump onto the bed, and push me away so that he can say hi to Matt; but I push him away, and I keep cuddling up to Matt." Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I'm glad that's the case." Gabby smiled as she heard Stella say that, as she most definitely likes the fact that she's spending some time with her best friend. "So, what are you and Kelly thinking of doing when it comes to the doctor? Did you guys make an appointment, or find a doctor to get the diagnosis yet?" Stella sighed as Gabby asked her that. "We haven't even spoken about that yet; we're still trying to figure out what all this means." Gabby agreed with her best friend as she said that, clearly able to see that she was worried right now; and that's due to the fact that this can easily be overwhelming.

"Honey, you need to remember to take it easy; and you need to make sure that you guys talk, because you need to talk this through. There's a lot of things that you need to talk about, including how this is all going to work out. I know that me and Matt make it look easy, but it's still a struggle; we had to make sure that we did it right, and that we continue to work at it. And you also need to make sure that you just take it easy with each other as much as you can." Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Like you guys are going to do after you go to your meeting?" Gabby smirked as Stella asked her whether she was going to take it easy with her best friend, before she has to leave to go for a meeting; that is, until she heard her husband yell out. "FUCK!" Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, before looking at her best friend. "I'll be back okay?" Stella agreed with Gabby as she said that, who then got up so that she could make her way to Matt's office; then, she could see just what was going on right now…and why he decided to swear.

Slowly making her way down to the office, Gabby took a breath due to the fact that she was worried about what was going on right now; after all, it wasn't all that often that her husband swore. Rather, he just spoke calmly and relaxed. However, it seemed that was not what was going on right now. "Fuck Kelly, what the hell! Why would you think that was okay?" That's when Andy started to growl at Severide, as he was making Matt mad. However, that wasn't what Matt wanted him to do. "Andy, down boy." Andy then started to calm down, relaxing as he proceeded to make his way over to his bed. At the same time, Matt just looked at Kelly, who decided to surprise him (and speak to him after sneaking in), causing him to spill on his laptop. "What are you waiting for? Get me some napkins before it gets into my laptop!" Turning around, Kelly proceeded to rush out; but he did so carefully when he saw that Gabby was making her way over to the office. "Oh, sorry Gabby." Gabby agreed with Kelly as he said that, before looking at her husband.

Taking a breath as he went to pick up his laptop, Matt went to try and make sure that it was away from the wet stuff; and that was due to the fact that he didn't want all of his business plans to be ruined, as this is where he keeps his notes. "God, this is crazy." Gabby then tried to make light of the situation. "I was the one that said that you shouldn't have an Espresso machine here in your office." Turning his head, Matt was not the happiest to hear that; but he knew that he couldn't snap at his wife, as he would be in trouble if he did so. Just taking a breath as he looked at Gabby, he knew that this isn't something that he needs to worry about; after which, he proceeded to close this laptop and went to go set it down in his bag (temporarily). "Sorry, I know that…" Gabby shook her head when she heard Matt say that, as she knew that he was stress out about this meeting; as it was a big meeting for the company, that can really change the entire course of the company. More specifically, her company. Walking over to the couch, Gabby took a breath as she went to sit.

At the same time, Kelly came back with some paper towels. "Here, I got some towels for you." Matt agreed with Kelly as he said that, watching as he proceeded to grab some; at the same time, Kelly went to grab some paper towels to start cleaning her desk. However, that was not what Matt wanted Kelly to do; rather, he wanted to get away since he's already stressed right now. So much so, that he just need to breathe and get his friend away right now. "Kelly, please just…listen, how about you just go out there and take care of your wife?" Kelly agreed with his boss as he said that, before going to walk away; after all, he needs to just let Matt relax. At the same time, Matt proceeded to start cleaning up and just breathed; at the same time, Gabby looked up at Matt. "Matt, you know that he probably didn't mean to do it." Matt then looked at Gabby. "Yeah, but he screwed up my plans. I was in here for you." Gabby was confused as she heard Matt say that, unsure of what he means. "Hey, what do you mean by that?" Taking a breath, Matt sighed.

At the same time, Gabby extended her hand to try and get her loving husband to come join her; but first, Matt had to finish cleaning his desk. "Listen, let me just finish up and then I can pack up. Looks like we have to go to the office after all." Gabby was shocked. "Okay, what are you talking about?" Matt sighed as he looked at Gabby, before deciding to walk around his desk; that way, he can tell his wife the truth. Moving to stand next to his desk, Matt put his hands out so that he can ask Gabby to get up and stand with him; which he promptly did after he got to his desk. After which, Gabby got up so that she could get up and just made her way over to the man she loves; whom she plans on kissing so that she could make him relax right now. Smiling at her loving husband, Gabby got nice and close to him before putting her hands on his chest; she then leaned in and kissed the man she loves to calm him down. "Breathe baby, breathe for me." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, just taking things nice and slow with his beautiful wife.

Bending down, Matt smirked as he decided to bend down and kiss her neck softly as a way to calm down; and let's just say that was exactly what Gabby wanted him to do right now. She wants him to calm down, and just take it easy. "Baby, what are you talking about?" Matt took a breath. "I was able to connect to the office, and I was just going to send some e-mails to the people I need to talk to; then we…" Gabby shook her head. "No baby, please don't do that. We need to go to the office anyways, because I need to talk to some of my newest designers that we recently hired. I need to talk to him about some things." Matt sighed as he heard Gabby say that, before agreeing with Gabby. "Right, I didn't think about that. I just thought…you wanted to be able to spend as much time with the boys as you could." Hearing Kelly come back; Matt smiled as he looked at his best friend. "Here, I got some…" Matt then looked at his employee. "Listen, I need to put my things away. Clean up my desk. Gabby, we'll talk in a minute okay?" Gabby agreed with Matt.

Walking away to the couch that they have here in his office, Gabby smiled as she proceeded to go sit down so that she can just take it easy; at the same time, Matt went to go pack up his laptop so that he can keep talking to Gabby before they go have breakfast.

2Having just finished packing up his laptop for today, Matt took a breath as he heard his phone ding; at the same tie, Gabby looked up at the man she loves. "I thought you weren't going to check your e-mail until after breakfast now?" Matt laughed as he proceeded to go check the e-mail. "I need to take it, because it's from the people who are going to be manufacturing the clothes." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before watching as he went to read the e-mail; that was, until he saw that it was bad news. "Oh fuck." Gabby just looked at her husband when he said that, confused as to why he swore this time. "Okay, why are you swearing this time?" Matt sighed. "Oh, just that the company that we were going to sign a contract for your clothes with…they decided to cancel the deal." Gabby was shocked as she heard Matt say that. "Excuse me?" Matt then proceeded to come sit down, so that he can show Gabby the e-mail. At the same time, Gabby went to grab his phone so that she can read it. "Seriously? Kim Kardashian wants to use them?"

Matt just sighed as he proceeded to sit down and looked at the woman he loves, after which he got close to her. Moving to cuddle up to Gabby, Matt sighed as he wrapped his arm around Gabby and just looked at his beautiful wife. "Hey, look at me." Turning her head, Gabby looked at the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "We're going to be okay, because we can figure something out." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, well aware that was the case; after which, Matt smiled as he leaned in and then kissed her softly. Taking things nice and slow with the woman he loves, Matt then leaned back against his desk and just stared at his girl; getting close to Matt, Gabby smiled as she put her hands on his toned chest. Leaning in, Gabby smiled as she took things nice and slow with the man she loves. "So, that means that…" Matt took a breath. "Looks like we need to find a new manufacturer." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before moving to put her hands on his face and just looked at the man she loves. "Yes, we do."

Matt sighed as he looked at the woman he loves, before watching as Gabby cuddled up to him; after which, she wrapped her arms around him. At the same time, Matt wrapped his arms around her waist as they both held each other close, which them prompted Matt to turn his head and kissed her neck softly. "God, you are so damn sexy." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before putting her hands on his arms; after which, he took things nice and slow with Matt. "We can figure this out okay?" That's when Matt and Gabby heard Kelly at the door, him wanting to check on his friend. "Everything okay?" Matt sighed. "We just lost our manufacturer for the clothes." Kelly sighed. "Seriously?" Gabby nodded. "To Kim Kardashian." Kelly laughed. "Well then, I'm glad we aren't working with them." Matt was confused when he heard Kelly say that. "Excuse me?" Kelly just looked at Matt. "Matt, do you really want to be associated with a company…who wants to associate themselves with a woman who's famous because of a sex tape?"

Matt then thought about it, before turning to look at Gabby. "Gabby, you don't want that." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, before grabbing the back of his head; after which, he took things nice and slow with the man she loves more than anything in the entire world. "God, I love you so much; and I am so glad that we didn't work with them." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that, smiling as he felt the same way. "So, do you guys still need to go to the office today then? Or what are you doing? Because I think the only thing that you were going to do today was work on that contract." Matt took a breath as he heard Kelly say that, before thinking about something. After which, he proceeded to whisper to Gabby. "Office penthouse?" Turning her head as she heard Matt say that, Gabby smiled as she loved the idea of that. "But aren't we going to the beach today?" Matt smiled, agreeing with Gabby. "Then what do you say we eat? Then we can go spend the day together at the beach, and we can bring the boys?" Matt shook his head.

"I want you alone." Gabby agreed with Matt as he said that, loving that idea. "What do you say we go have breakfast? Then we can take some more time to wake up first? It's still early after all." Matt agreed with Gabby as she said that. "Go talk to your mom for me?" Gabby agreed with Matt going to walk away so that she can go talk to her mom, while Matt packs up his office.

Making her way back into the kitchen shortly after talking to Matt, Gabby sighed as she looked at her mom. "Mom, can I talk to you?" Turning to look at her daughter, Camila agreed. "What is it sweetie?" Gabby sighed. "Listen, me and Matt's meetings just got cancelled today." Camila looked at her daughter. "Oh no, is everything okay?" Gabby sighed. "The manufacturer that we were going to use for our clothes just got another contract, with Kim Kardashian." Turning to look at her best friend, Stella was shocked. "SHUT UP!" Gabby agreed with Stella. "So, we need to find a new manufacturer." Stella took a breath. "How about we wait then? Until you're done being pregnant, less stress." Gabby thought about it and shrugged. "I'll think about it. However, I was going to ask if you could still watch the boys, because we still want to go out together. We want to go to the beach together and have fun. So, if you can do that…" Camila smirked at her daughter asked her that, because she was more than okay with watching her grandsons. "Of course, sweetie."

Gabby smiled as she heard her mom say that. "Of course, we can always come back if they need us." Camila agreed with her daughter, well aware that was the case; but she wasn't going to need her. "But we won't need you, because we always do the right thing when it comes to the boys. Now, do you want me to finish breakfast and send it upstairs with Matt?" Gabby agreed with her mom as she asked her that. "Yes. Now, can you watch the boys? I'm going back to sleep after breakfast, or at least relax. I need to do that because I am stressed now and just thinking about…" Hearing the word 'stressed' come out of his wife's mouth, Matt proceeded to yell out. "Gabby, go lay down in bed now! I will bring you breakfast. Stella, make sure that she goes to bed." Gabby snickered, before looking at her mom. "I have to follow his orders." Camila agreed with her daughter as she said that, well aware that was the case; after which, she proceeded to hug her daughter. "I can keep working for now. We can figure things out." Gabby agreed with her mom, and just took a breath. "Thanks mom, and thanks for letting us go out today." Camila agreed with Gabby, smiling at her. "Of course, Gabby."

Gabby agreed with her mom as she said that, smiling as she proceeded to walk away so that she can go relax in bed; and only then did Camila turn to look at Stella, as she knew that she was Gabby's partner in ELLA. "How are you feeling Stella?" Stella was confused as she heard Camila ask her that. "What are you talking about Camila?" Camila sighed. "You must be sad that you lost the manufacturing deal." Stella shook her head. "I would rather not work with a company that wants to deal with the Kardashians, who got famous on a sex take." Camila agreed with Stella as she said that, well aware that was the case. "Well, I'm sure that you guys can do that." Stella agreed with Camila as she said that, smiling as she felt the same way. "Listen, I am going to relax and just take it easy. But how about you make Matt and Gabby some food, then they can relax and take it easy with each other?" Camila agreed with Stella as she said that, going to do just that so that they can take it easy with each other this morning; ahead of them going to the beach.
