Johan slid across the ground and kicked away the shell. "Hey, you okay," he asked as he helped Ivy up. She just stared at him wide eyed.

"Uh-huh."

Miss Sundew shouted, "IVY! LOOK OUT!"

Johan and Ivy looked up to see the scorpion ready to strike with its tail. That's when Ivy grabbed Johan by the hand. "Help us out, Invisible Touch!" A small humanoid frog no bigger than a gecko appeared behind her and created a ball of light.

The scorpion hit the ground and was surprised to see that it had missed entirely. It looked around, confused, then got a rock flung into its face. It thrashed its tail and claws, trying to catch whoever threw it, but couldn't find them. Then suddenly, it felt something punch it in the gut and it let out a loud screech of pain.

"What's wrong? Can't find what you can't sting?" Ivy's voice rang out. Then suddenly, she reappeared on the scorpion's face. "Over here!" The scorpion tried to grab her with its claws, but she disappeared and slapped himself in the face instead. "Stop hitting yourself!"

Annoyed, the scorpion whipped its tail in an attempt to sting the little frog. Instead, it felt something punch its stomach repeatedly. "MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA! MUDA!" With one last punch, DARE launched the scorpion into the sky and over the trees.

At that moment, Ivy and Johan reappeared while DARE disappeared. "I knew it," he said to Ivy. "You're a Stand User too!"

"You don't think it's that creepy do you?" she asked shyly.

"Creepy? Why would I be creeped out by that? I hang out with Stand Users all the time back home."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

Ivy smiled. "You're not a monster! You're a hero! An ugly, ugly hero!"

"I'll take that as a compliment," Johan said as he shook Ivy's hand. "Ew. Frog slime."

"It's mucus. So, what do I call you?"

"My name is Johan Shiobana but anyone considered a friend of mine calls me JoJo."

Ivy took one look and laughed. "JoJo?! That sounds like a clown's name!" She stopped when she saw his frown. "I mean, that's a nice name."

"Well, now that that's settled," said Mayor Toadstool. "What the heck are we going to do with this thing? Maybe we ought to run it out of town just to be safe. Let it be someone else's problem." The mob behind him seemed to agree.

"What?!" Ivy exclaimed. "But he saved my life!"

"Sorry, Ivy, but we don't really know this thing," said Miss Sundew.

"But, Mom..."

"It's fine," said Johan as he helped himself up. "Clearly I'm not wanted here. I'll just go." He turned to leave. "Maybe I'll find a cave somewhere. Or maybe under a tree. Where there's little to no food and I'll have to fend for myself. But before I go," he reached into his picture, pulled out his wallet with folded photos inside and pointed to one of them. "Would you mind keeping an eye out for these three girls?" A Thai American with big pouffy hair named Anne Boonchuy, a Caucasian girl with blonde hair tied in a ponytail named Sasha Waybright and a Chinese American with short black hair named Marcy Wu. "They're sure to be around here. Just tell them I'll be living under the tree to the left of that big boulder sticking out of the ground."

As he left, Ivy turned to the mob. "Guys! He's not a monster! He's just alone and needs help!" Johan stopped. He turned to give her a smile.

"Are you crazy?!" exclaimed Toadstool.

"Yeah," said the frog with the accordion. "What if it goes nuts tomorrow and starts eating people?!"

"Ew. I don't eat frogs," insisted Johan. Almeno, non crudi e certamente non quelli che parlano come le persone.

"Don't worry, I'll keep an eye on him," said Miss Sundew. "One Stand User looking out for another, right?"

"Ya sure about that, Felicia?" asked Sheriff Leatherleaf.

"Don't worry. I'll know to call on you if anything happens."

"Very well, ma'am. He's your responsibility."

"Have it your way, Felicia Sundew," said the mayor. "But I don't like it. Alright, angry mob, let's pack it up!"

As the dissatisfied mob left, Johan sighed as he slumped down on a stump. "You didn't have to do that, Miss Sundew."

"Oh, pshh! It's the least I can do. You did save my daughter."

"Still, I can't stay here. Just bring me a map that'll lead me out of here."

"I'm sorry, but a map won't be enough." Felicia showed the boy a map of the land of Amphibia. "This valley are surrounded by snowy mountains that are impenetrable this time of year. It'll clear up in three months."

Johan kicked a pebble. "So I'm stuck in the frog boonies for three months?! Where am I going to stay?!"

Felicia's Tea Shoppe was located near the edge of Wartwood and was shaped like a tea kettle. Johan thought it was rather humorous. Felicia gave him a brief tour of the house before showing him to the guest room upstairs. "Kitchen is downstairs. Breakfast is in the morning. Sharp. And I expect you to pull your own weight around here," said Miss Sundew. "This isn't a boarding house."

"I understand," Johan said with a bow.

He sat down on the bed and took off his red jacket, green pants, black shoes until he was only in his white t-shirt and blue boxers and socks. "Yo," Ivy said. "Getting comfortable?"

"Yeah."

"I brought some tea." She handed him a steaming cup. "It helps calm the nerves."

Johan brought the tea to his lips when he suddenly stopped and asked, "This isn't urine is it?"

"What?! No! Why would you think that?!"

Johan laughed. "A friend of the family's pulled a similar prank on my dad. He saw right through him." He took a sip and smiled. "Grazie mille."

"Ha, ha, I don't know what you said," said Ivy. "But I'll take it as a compliment."

Johan smiled as she left, then stopped as he got into bed, pulled out his wallet and looked at the photos of his father, Trish, Mista, Anne, Sasha and Marcy. "I hope you guys are doing better than I am."

Anne shivered as she hid in the cave, holding the cursed music box that got her and possibly her friends stranded in this jungle world. "Help me... Someone... Anyone..."

Sasha glared at her toad captors as she was chained and shackled to the wall. "I'll break out. I'll find my friends. They won't keep me from them," she growled as her Stand appeared behind her. It looked like a female humanoid garbed in a musketeer outfit and carried a rapier sword on its side and it wore the same glare as its User.

Marcy blinked as she sat in the hospital bed. "Who would have thought that my first day of adventure would result in me breaking my leg after falling down a flight of stairs?"

"Hey, Hop Pop," said Sprig Planter as he led their Snail steed Bessie to the stalls behind the old farm house. "Think I could get a pet monster like Ivy?"

"She's lucky," said his pollywog sister Polly. "I want a Stand User monster that will crush my enemies!" She punched the air as she shouted, "KERO KERO KERO KERO KERO KERO KERO!"

"Absolutely not," their grandfather Hop Pop said as he closed the stall door. "I haven't forgotten about Charlie Big Bottom! You kids begged and begged but no one cleaned up after him but me!"

"Aww..." both kids groaned.
