Chapter 261: The Race Time...
(June 10. The Royal Woods Grand Track Stadium. Royal Woods Michigan.)
The seats are filled, and people are thrilled and excited for this big event, as the Stock Car Race is about to commence, and we see Lana is super stoked for this, to see her idol Bobbie Fletcher Race, and win. Also, the rest of the louds are here. Oh, and they are by the pit area, but not within the pit crews work zone with the cars.
Lola sees how excited Lana is. "Sis, calm down. Otherwise you might end up peeing yourself." This makes the others cautious and inch away from Lana.
Lana then snaps out of it. "Sorry guys, sorry about that. It's just that, this is so exciting and we're seeing Bobbie Fletcher race and I know for sure, she is going to win."
Michelle then asks. "Did she pee herself last time when she first saw her race?"
Luna explains. "Nope, but she did faint when she saw the race begin, but when she heard the name of Bobbie Fletcher then she woke back up fifteen minutes after the race started. Glad we recorded those fifteen minutes for her, so she could rewatch what she missed when they started."
Michelle chuckles hearing this, and then she asks Lana. "So, Lans. Have you been to all of her races?"
"Hmmm, not all of them" replied Lana. "I mean, I recall that I heard and saw her during her fifth race. I then looked up on the first time she raced, and won and then became an icon in racing, and to represent Royal Woods and the Burpin' Burger. But, I have looked up into so much history involving Bobbie Fletcher. Like the time when one of her new pit crew members was a total creep and idiot."
"I mean, he didn't do his job right and just took selfies and didn't even handle what he was tasked to do, and his misdeeds and stupid actions nearly cost Bobbie Fletcher her life, she almost crashed but she found a way to maneuver and get back on track, but became second place. Also, I think the guy got arrested."
"Oh, I heard about that one." They look to Amanda Bright, and she takes some photos. "I heard about it and the guy was arrested for sexual assault, and stalking Bobbie Fletcher when they weren't busy with practice laps. His name is Horace Alvenerwear and he was also responsible for stealing the clothing of Bobbie and trying to sell them online, and even to the female pit crew members." This has them shocked, and they are glad he is no longer there.
"You guys are right, and welcome to the big Stock Car Race." They all see who it is, and they see this very attractive woman with a blue suit, skirt, black heels and rectangular glasses. "The name is Janette Wilder, talent scout who represents my client who is a rookie racer and the next big sensation. A pleasure to meet the louds, Ms. Lewis and of course, good to see you again Ms. Bright."
They do see the other racecar, with the rookie racer, but they cannot see his face because he has his helmet on, but Leni does see the ponytail sticking out from the back.
They both shake hands and this surprises them and Michelle asks. "Wait, I have heard of you, but I didn't know that you and Amanda know each other."
Janette chuckles. "We met when she interviewed me for the New York News Paper, and we're good friends too. She also told me of the former music manager whom she is dating." This makes Michelle blush. "Don't be like that, Ms. Lewis. I won't bite, and I am honored to meet a very moderate and truly devoted woman such as yourself."
Amanda chuckles. "Yeah, I dated the right woman, and she is awesome." this makes Michelle blush, she is a huge fan of Janette Wilder, and it seems kinda awkward and almost embarrassing to be honored by her, and for her girlfriend to be actually friends with her.
Just then, the announcement is made and the race has begun. They all watch as this is about to go down.
The racecars are all in place, and they get ready to hit the gas. The light is red, then it turns yellow and then green and they all drive at amazing speed, but it seems like Bobbie Fletcher is picking it up and bypassing eight other racecars.
They watch as Bobbie Fletcher is nailing in beating the others. "Yeah, go Bobbie!" cheered Lana.
Leni then notices. "Oh, the rookie is catching up. Wow! He is also as fast as Bobbie."
They continue to watch as Bobbie Fletcher and this Rookie Racer are both trying to beat the other, but then they notice another car is trying to beat them and this confuses Lisa. "Hmmm, it seems like someone is trying to outgun both. Who might that one be, Ms. Wilder?"
Janette scoffs seeing the other racer. "The scumbag who thinks he can sneak in and do devious things to win, his name is Donald J. Corridor, and that man has no respect or taste in racing. He hates Bobbie and anyone else who tries to beat him."
They see as Corridor tries to get behind Bobbie and the rookie, the two cars are faster and he tries to catch up, but he cannot and has no choice but to try and stay in third place, but then two more cars bypass him, one named the Grey Ghost and the other named Prince Togo. Two other racers, whom hate Corridor after they caused them to crash.
These two cars stay in third place together, and causing Corridor to remain where he is, and try to beat them but he can't. They can all tell, that this is getting started and turning into something intense.
(Timeskip, after the race.)
The crowd cheers, because the race ended with a tie. The ones who arrived tied to first place, are Bobbie Fletcher and the Rookie Racer. Coming tied in second, is the Grey Ghost and Prince Togo, and dead last is Corridor, and right now he is yelling at his pit crew for his loss. Jeez!
The whole event has made the judges come with a new decision, that to ensure who is the winner of this year's Stock Car Supreme Race, they will hold a final race in Philadelphia, a race between Bobbie Fletcher, the Rookie, Grey Ghost and Prince Togo.
Lana cheers at what had happened, and she sees Bobbie Fletcher go towards them. "Hey guys, looks like my race is not done and thanks for coming."
"You were awesome there, Bobbie! Even though you didn't win, you and the others raced with honor and it was wicked cool, and I can't wait to watch you guys race to see who wins, well on the TV that is" replied Lana.
Bobbie Fletcher chuckles, and she places her hat onto Lana. This makes Lana smile. "Hey, how about we all celebrate with some pizza, my treat." they all cheer hearing this.
Michelle and Amanda finish speaking with Janette Wilder, and she heads off to speak with her client. Leni does trip as she leaves, and the Rookie notices this and hands her back her sunglasses. "Here you go Miss." He is still wearing his helmet. "Don't want these to break."
Leni smiles. "Thank you, sir and also you were awesome out there."
"Heh, thanks." The rookie then takes his leave, and so does Leni. But deep down, Leni feels like she knows him and yet she is unsure, but the Rookie does look back and is confused. 'Wait, why do I know her? Why does she look so familiar to me?'
The Rookie then removes his helmet, and reveals to be the son of a famous racecar driver, and this rookie's name is Kurt Logann. He then goes over, and speaks with his manager, and yet he is still trying to find out why he recognizes that blonde girl with the white round sunglasses.
